According to news reports, Time Warner Cable will shelve its excessive Internet penalty fees in all proposed test markets due to overwhelming opposition from consumers. The company is currently testing the pricing scheme in Beaumont, Texas, and had planned to launch trials Rochester, N.Y.; Austin and San Antonio, Texas; and Greensboro, N.C. More than 15,000 Free Press activists wrote Congress to protest the unfair price hikes.

Timothy Karr, campaign director of Free Press, issued the following statement:

"We're glad to see Time Warner Cable's price-gouging scheme collapse in the face of consumer opposition. Let this be a lesson to other Internet service providers looking to head down a similar path. Consumers are not going to stand idly by as companies try to squeeze their use of the Internet. This is a major victory, but the fight for a fast, open and affordable Internet is far from over."

Great victory for Consumers, not just in test markets, but for all areas Time Warner serves!

Time Warner Cable Chief Executive Officer Glenn Britt said, “It is clear from the public response over the last two weeks that there is a great deal of misunderstanding about our plans to roll out additional tests on consumption based billing. As a result, we will not proceed with implementation of additional tests until further consultation with our customers and other interested parties, ensuring that community needs are being met.

This isn't a "Major Victory"..

Sounds like they still going to continue with the plan but first push some PR so they don't lose customers.

I'll take it for now.  The psycopathic genocidal control freaks days are numbered.  We need enough info bandwith to get the word out to the threshold of citizens so that the NWO crimes against humanity can be exposed.
All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. The general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view the palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately

YAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE WON!    Everybody lets celebrate with diet sodas and everyone else can get their champagne bottles and lets all make a toast to the wonderful us that defeated Time Warners Bandwidth caps.

We all rock! We did it! :)

Well looks like we win for now.

I feel so more happy, I was gonna be more depressed and I am now happy to see this.

Alex Jones you rock, if it wasn't for you, and all people apart of free humanity Time Warner would have controlled us years ago.
