Whole House Water Filtration Ideas
« on: October 16, 2008, 12:41:51 pm »
The first thing you might want to do is test your water. There are special add on filters
for certain contaminates that you might have an abundance of. This seems to be a very
good one and reasonably priced too. This kit does not test for fluoride. Most kits I found
for fluoride testing are pretty expensive, and unnecessary. All you have to do is find out if
they put it in your water supply where you live.

The Test Strips in this kit can test for some of the inorganic chemicals and Biological contamination most frequently found in water. Each kit contains two tests for each of the following contaminants (one for bacteria):

   1. Bacteria
   2. Nitrate
   3. Nitrite
   4. Hydrogen Sulfide
   5. Total Hardness
   6. Total Alkalinity
   7. Total Chlorine
   8. Free Chlorine
   9. Chloride
  10. Copper
  11. Sulfate
  12. Iron
  13. pH

This company seems to have the best prices for whole house systems. they will also talk with you and help you with whatever you might need.

This company is higher priced, but if you can afford it, it might be something you might want to look into.
