Ecuador Will Imminently Withdraw Asylum for
Julian Assange and Hand Him Over to the UK.

What Comes Next?

Glenn Greenwald - July 21 2018

Lenin Moreno traveled to London on Friday for the ostensible purpose of speaking at the 2018 Global Disabilities Summit (Moreno has been confined to a wheelchair since being shot in a 1998 robbery attempt). The concealed, actual purpose of the President?s trip is to meet with British officials to finalize an agreement under which Ecuador will withdraw its asylum protection of Julian Assange, in place since 2012, eject him from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, and then hand over the WikiLeaks founder to British authorities.

Moreno?s itinerary also notably includes a trip to Madrid, where he will meet with Spanish officials still seething over Assange?s denunciation of human rights abuses perpetrated by Spain?s central government against protesters marching for Catalonia independence. Almost three months ago, Ecuador blocked Assange from accessing the internet, and Assange has not been able to communicate with the outside world ever since. The primary factor in Ecuador?s decision to silence him was Spanish anger over Assange?s tweets about Catalonia.

A source close to the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry and the President?s office, unauthorized to speak publicly, has confirmed to the Intercept that Moreno is close to finalizing, if he has not already finalized, an agreement to hand over Assange to the UK within the next several weeks. The withdrawal of asylum and physical ejection of Assange could come as early as this week. On Friday, RT reported that Ecuador was preparing to enter into such an agreement.

Quote
The central oddity of Assange?s case ? that he has been effectively imprisoned for eight years despite never having been charged with, let alone convicted of, any crime ? is virtually certain to be prolonged once Ecuador hands him over to the U.K. Even under the best-case scenario, it appears highly likely that Assange will continue to be imprisoned by British authorities.

Pamela Anderson Ask Trump to Pardon Assange? ... I Might Just Do That
6/6/2018 10:03 AM PDT

Pamela Anderson says she might pull a Kim Kardashian and ask President Trump to pardon WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

We got Pam Wednesday in NYC as reports surfaced that the Prez was prepping to grant clemency to several prisoners. So, with Pam being a huge advocate for her friend Assange, we asked if she'd go to Trump to clear Assange's name in the U.S. -- even though he hasn't been charged with a crime here, yet.

Pam says it would be "the smartest move" -- not sure if she meant her visiting Trump, or Trump pardoning Assange.

Of course, this comes on the heels of Kim Kardashian successfully lobbying POTUS to release Alice Marie Johnson ... so, makes sense Pam could be feeling empowered.

Will Trump give asylum to Julian Assange?

Probably not. Trump (or at least Putin) is too smart for that move.
1) President Trump is highly sensitive to appearances. He knows Julian Assange is anathema to the entire US national security community. Right now, Trump wants their support or at least non-resistance. Freeing Assange might do the unthinkable and force the national security establishment nto the arms of the Democrats.

Then there is this insanity ...

Julian Assange Offered Immunity in Exchange for Truth
About Seth Rich & Hillary Emails Says Report

August 16, 2018

Kirsters Baish| It looks like things are about to be shaken up a bit. Senator Rand Paul has an offer for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Senator Paul wants Assange to testify, claiming that the WikiLeaks founder knows important information about Hillary Clinton?s hacked emails. Paul is aware, however, that it isn?t likely that Assange will testify without being offered immunity.

It?s more than likely that the Democrats are not going to be thrilled about this one and are going to block Assange from getting immunity.

The Democrats want all traces of proof linking to the hacked emails gone, because all it would do is open up another case that they don?t need. Assange has given hints numerous times that the emails never came from the Russians in the first place. He has also alluded to the fact that he believes that Seth Rich was the leaker, which is why he ended up dead.

If Russia isn?t guilty of the email hacking, this destroys the whole liberal narrative that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.

If Assange is able to provide evidence to prove that Russia was not involved with the email hacking, this would mean that someone working inside the DNC or the Clinton campaign had created the entire collusion story.

According to steadfastandloyal:

?I think that he should be given immunity from prosecution in exchange
for coming to the United States and testifying,? Senator Paul told the Gateway Pundit.

?I think he?s been someone who has released a lot of information, and you can debate whether or not any of that has caused harm, but I think really he has information that is probably pertinent to the hacking of the Democratic emails that would be nice to hear.?

As his isolation intensifies, WikiLeaks' Julian Assange faces possible threat of eviction, extradition
    By James Gordon Meek
    Ali Dukakis

Aug 29, 2018,
...
As his residency at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London enters its seventh year, the self-styled cyber revolutionary ? WikiLeaks? founder and controversial publisher of some of the world?s most closely guarded official secrets ? is facing a pair of converging crises that have left his allies fearing for his wellbeing and his safety.

Inside the embassy, he is living an increasingly secluded existence, having been stripped of his phones, computers and visitor privileges after running afoul of the very government that gave him asylum. Outside the embassy, he is embroiled in the global political scandal surrounding Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 election, with questions about his role in that drama being raised by friends and foes alike.
...

Assange?s only human contact outside of embassy staff since March has been with his lawyers, and they are concerned about his health and wellbeing.

?He's now unable to receive visitors, doesn't have access to the Internet, no telephone calls,? Robinson told ABC News. ?So he's effectively cut off from the outside world all together. The only people that are able to see him are his legal team, which is obviously a very limited interaction with the world.?

...
"He's been effectively in solitary confinement," said Assange?s lawyer Jennifer Robinson. ?Julian has always said he's very happy to face British justice but not at the expense of having to face American injustice.?

This Is The "Last Free Generation" Says Julian Assange In Last Pre-Blackout Interview
by Tyler Durden
Sat, 09/22/2018 - 16:30

Prior to being cut off from the internet, phone and most visitors, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange gave an interview on the future of surveillance and how technological advances are changing humankind.

Provided to RT by officials with the World Ethical Data Forum in Barcelona, Assange's outlook on where humanity is headed is - to put it lightly, dystopian. He says that it will soon be impossible for any human being not to be included in global government databases collected by federal officials and state-like entities alike.

This generation being born now? is the last free generation. You are born and either immediately or within say a year you are known globally. Your identity in one form or another ?coming as a result of your idiotic parents plastering your name and photos all over Facebook or as a result of insurance applications or passport applications? is known to all major world powers.

A small child now in some sense has to negotiate its relationship with all the major world powers? It puts us in a very different position. Very few technically capable people are able to live apart, to choose to live apart, to choose to go their own way,? he added. ?It smells a bit like totalitarianism ? in some way. -Julian Assange

With his internet cut off, Julian Assange steps down as editor of WikiLeaks
Taylor [email protected] / 17 hours ago

WikiLeaks has a new top dog. Its contentious figurehead and founder, Julian Assange, will step aside, letting former WikiLeaks spokesperson Kristinn Hrafnsson take the reins due to what WikiLeaks calls ?extraordinary circumstances? that have seen Assange ?held incommunicado.?
