'Germany is at war': Berlin on alert for new terror attack as police hunt armed ISIS gunman who killed 12 people in truck massacre - after security services admit they got the WRONG man

A second terror attack in Berlin could be imminent after police admitted the killer lorry driver who mowed down 12 people at a packed Christmas market is on the loose and armed with a gun.

Prosecutor Holger Münch has warned of a 'serious threat' of another 'significant' terror attack as it emerged an asylum seeker from Pakistan arrested last night was the wrong man. Berlin's police chief Klaus Kandt said the 'dangerous criminal' behind a deadly truck rampage at a Christmas market may still be on the run, urging 'heightened vigilance'. Interior minister Klaus Bouillon said that Germany is 'in a state of war' after the massacre on Breitscheidplatz Square last night. Detectives interrogating chief suspect Naved B (top right), 23, have said he has no blood on his clothes, no injuries and denies hijacking the 25-tonne lorry (left). A security services source, a senior police officer, told die Welt newspaper: 'We have the wrong man. So we have a new situation. The true perpetrator is still armed, at large and can cause further damage.' Witnesses said victims including children were sent flying like bowling pins and sucked under the wheels leaving 'rivers of blood' as the killer driver steered at them before jumping out of the cab and racing from the scene.

At 7pm last night a juggernaut laden with steel cargo turned off its lights and ripped through stalls and shoppers at 40mph on Breitscheidplatz Square, outside the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in the German capital's main shopping area.

Witnesses said victims including children were sent flying like bowling pins and sucked under the wheels leaving 'rivers of blood' as the killer driver steered at them before jumping out of the cab and racing from the scene.

Only six of the nine dead have been identified but Italian Fabrizia Lorenzo, 31, transport specialist worker is missing and her mobile phone and travel pass were found in the crash zone

...
The Pakistani asylum seeker arrested after the Berlin Christmas market massacre was allegedly held for a sex attack in July and was already on the Interpol crime database, it was revealed today.

Arrested suspect Naved B, is believed to have entered the country under a false name on New Year's Eve 2015, and some German newspapers said he may have been radicalised by an ISIS handler after arriving in Germany.

Germany's Defence Minister Thomas de Maizière today confirmed that the suspect was not on Germany's terror list but was on the Interpol list of criminals. He was also allegedly arrested in Berlin for a sex attack in July and other petty crimes.

...

'Millions of people have been asking: How can we live with it that at a Christmas market - a place of joy – a killer brings death to so many people? I have no simple answer to this question.

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-12-24/twelve-rules-christmas-constitutional-qa

Q:  If the Constitution requires a ?separation of church and state,? why is Christmas a national holiday?

A:  Courts have routinely held that government recognition of Christmas as a public holiday and granting government employees a paid holiday for Christmas does not violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The government has a valid secular interest in providing a day of rest to citizens and may accommodate the religious beliefs of citizens in doing so.

... the goodwill of the Christmas season has been squelched in many public schools, where uninformed administrators are turned into Grinches by misguided  fears
  that the law requires anything religious be banned from public schools. Over the years, The Rutherford Institute has been contacted by parents and teachers alike concerned about schools changing their Christmas concerts to ?winter holiday programs? and renaming Christmas ?winter festival? or cancelling holiday celebrations altogether to avoid offending those who do not celebrate the various holidays.

Examples of the purging of Christmas from our schools abound:

    A Minnesota charter school banned the display of a poster prepared to promote the school?s yearbook as a holiday gift because the poster included the word ?Christmas?;

    Traditional Christmas songs, such as ?Joy to the World? and ?Silent Night? have been banned from holiday concerts by a New Jersey school district. The district justifies the ban as needed to avoid violating the ?separation of church and state,? even though it is clear that religious music can be performed in public schools;

    A teacher in Texas who decorated her door with a scene from ?A Charlie Brown Christmas?, including a scrawny tree and Linus, was forced to take it down.  She was told by her principal that some students might be offended or feel uncomfortable.

Students asked to send seasonal cards to military troops have been told to make them ?holiday cards? and instructed not to use the words ?Merry Christmas? on their cards. Similarly, Christmas trees, wreaths, candy canes and even the colors red and green have been banned as part of the effort to avoid any reference to Christmas, Christ or God.
...

Why Muslim persecution of Christians is uniquely troubling
Raymond Ibrahim | Thursday Feb 5, 2015 1:33 PM

...
The one glaring fact concerning the persecution of approximately 100 million Christians around the world today is that the overwhelming majority of it is being committed by Muslims of all races, nationalities, languages, and socio-political circumstances: Muslims from among America?s allies (Saudi Arabia) and from its enemies (Iran); Muslims from economically rich nations (Qatar) and from poor nations (Somalia and Yemen); Muslims from ?Islamic republic? nations (Afghanistan) and from ?moderate? nations (Malaysia and Indonesia); Muslims from nations rescued by America (Kuwait) and Muslims from nations claiming ?grievances? against the U.S. (fill in the blank __).

Report: Islamic Oppression Fuels Two-Thirds of the Worst Persecution Against Christians

The Islamic State (ISIS) may be on the run in the Middle East, but Islamic oppression continues to fuel persecution of Christians across the world.

Open Doors USA released its 2018 World Watch List this month, and out of the 50 worst countries for Christian persecution, "Islamic Oppression" inspires persecution in 33. Worse, it drives oppression in eight of the eleven countries where Christians face "extreme" persecution, according to the list.

North Korea's Communist regime may be the worst state for persecuting Christians for the 16th consecutive year, but the main story in Christian persecution is Islamic oppression.

The Open Doors report [ https://www.opendoorsusa.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/WWL2018-BookletNew.pdf ] listed three "major trends" in Christian persecution, and Islamic oppression ranked number one. "Islamic oppression is one of the most widely recognized sources of persecution for Christians in the world today?and it continues to spread?aiming to bring many parts of the world under Sharia law," the report stated. "The movement, which often results in Islamic militancy and persecution of Christians, is expanding in Asia (Philippines, Bangladesh, Indonesia) and Africa (Egypt, Nigeria, Somalia)."
