Iraqi strike kills ISIS leaders but not Baghdadi
http://english.alarabiya.net/en/News/middle-east/2015/10/11/Iraqis-claim-to-have-hit-ISIS-chief-Baghdadi-s-convoy-in-air-raid.html

An airstrike on a gathering of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) members in a town in western Iraq on Sunday killed several leaders but the group’s top man, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was not among them, Reuters reported hospital sources and residents as saying.

Iraq’s military said earlier that it had targeted a meeting of ISIS leaders and a convoy carrying Baghdadi to the gathering in two separate airstrikes.

Earlier, a military statement said the Iraqi airforce struck a convoy of Baghdadi in western Anbar province close to the Syrian border.

“Iraqi air forces have bombed the convoy of the terrorist Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi while he was heading to Karabla to attend a meeting with Daesh commanders,” the statement read, using the Arabic acronym for ISIS.

This is not the first time Baghdadi, who has declared himself as the leader of a Caliphate in areas it controls in Iraq and Syria, was targeted.

Iraq and Russia Set Against Daesh
« Reply #3 on: October 11, 2015, 12:53:56 pm »
Two weeks ago, CNN and many others carried reports that roughly, "Iraq agrees to share intelligence with Russia, Iran and Syria".

Today it is reported that Iraq's military has killed several ISIS leaders with airstrikes, perhaps just missing ISIS's leader Baghdadi.

While only days ago, "Iraqi residents have once again accused the US government of supplying ISIS jihadists with food and weapons in a viral video posted online this week."

It's no wonder Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, said just one week ago that, “Russia’s entrance, given its potential and capabilities, is something we see is going to have an effect on limiting terrorism in Syria and eradicating it".

And why wouldn't he if the Russian Defense Ministry's reports only days ago are correct: "67 sorties, striking 60 separate targets in northern Syria in the past 24 hours... Two senior Islamic State field commanders are reportedly among some 300 militants killed in the strikes."

As talk emerges of China aiding the air strike efforts and the White House talks aimlessly about Russia's airstrikes aiding ISIS, a straight shooting retired Lt. Colonel spoke directly to the issue,

Quote
“As much as I think it is embarrassing for President Obama, the Russians are doing a job the United States should have done a year ago,... Russia is doing what we should have done a year ago, hitting the hard sites of ISIS inside of Syria".
