On Saturday, former Missouri defensive end Michael Sam became the first openly-gay NFL player, when he was drafted by the St. Louis Rams.

On Sunday, President Barack Obama congratulated both the team and the player on the situation.

“The President congratulates Michael Sam, the Rams and the NFL for taking an important step forward in our Nation’s journey,” a White House official told “From the playing field to the corporate boardroom, LGBT Americans prove everyday that you should be judged by what you do and not who you are.”

He’s right. We are who we are. And people need to feel comfortable being who they are. The rest of us need to find a way to be comfortable with it.

Michael Sam is comfortable being who he is, the Rams were comfortable with it, and the rest of us need to realize that and accept it.

Acceptance, not tolerance. The term “tolerance” implies that we don’t accept it but that we deal with it. The term “acceptance” means that there’s no issue or hesitation or temptation to resist.

Acceptance is a lot easier than it seems. It’s far simpler to not care about how someone else lives their life than it is to get all twisted in knots over something you can’t change.

America this is your president, this is what you voted for in 2008 and again in 2012.Not Ron Paul who had your best interest no this jack ass.Obama doesn't say word about Chicago where the murder rate is though the roof but yet has time congratulate a gay football and basketball players. We yet to hear about what happened in Benghazi, but we can hear the president filling out a bracket for the NCAA tournament. Not one word or one press conference for the about the Nigerian girls who were kidnapped,or the possibility of a coming war with Russia. The sad thing is this jack ass would probably get a 3rd term.

Caligula's resting place finally found... after police arrest tomb raider trying to steal statue

The tomb of Caligula has been unearthed in Italy almost 2,000 years after his death, it has been claimed.
Italian police said the discovery was made after a man was arrested trying to smuggle abroad a statue of the Roman emperor which had been stolen from the site.

The final resting place of the debauched tyrant has been shrouded in mystery since he was murdered by his own bodyguards in AD 41, aged 28.

As a ruler, his name became synonymous with cruelty, promiscuity and, eventually, insanity.
His madness reportedly peaked when he made his favourite horse, Incitatus, his personal advisor and a high priest.
He is also alleged to have slept with his sisters, turned the royal palace into a brothel and once, while watching some games, threw an entire section of the crowd into the arena to be eaten by animals because there were no criminals left and he was bored.
Such was his reputation for debauchery, that an adult film was made of his life, part-financed by Penthouse magazine and starring Helen Mirren, Peter O'Toole and Malcolm McDowell in 1979.

With most of his statues destroyed after his death by the senators and guards that organised his assassination, archeologists are keen to excavate his remains.

Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole ; He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. - Job 5
