Obama condemns killing of U.S. ambassador to Libya

U.S. President Barack Obama on Wednesday strongly condemned the killing of the United States ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens, in a rocket attack on the U.S. Consulate in the city of Benghazi on Tuesday.

He called the attack "outrageous," and confirmed that four Americans, including Stevens, were killed.

"Chris was a courageous and exemplary representative of the United States," Obama said.

Stevens was the first U.S. ambassador to be killed in an attack since 1979.

US ambassador killed in Libya - live updates

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/middle-east-live/2012/sep/12/libya-egypt-attacks-muhammad-film-live

Gaddafi might say: 'I told you so'

If Muammar Gaddafi were still alive he might give a bitter laugh to hear the news that the US ambassador to Libya had been killed in Benghazi, Ian Black, the Guardian's Middle East editor, writes. Hosni Mubarak, in his prison hospital, would growl a wry "I told you so" after the attack on the fortress-like American embassy in Cairo.

Two onslaughts in two of the cities that witnessed the historic drama of the Arab spring last year do not an Islamist winter make. But both underline the glowering and dangerous presence of the sort of radical Muslim fundamentalists who the old regimes kept at bay or in prison and are now free to pursue their agendas. Gaddafi and Mubarak may have been unreconstructed dictators, but by and large they did Washington's bidding. And US diplomats were usually safe.

Libya is the more disturbing case. On a day when Gaddafi's democratically elected heirs were due to announce a new prime minister, it will be infuriating to have global attention diverted to the Salafi extremists of Ansar al-Sharia who attacked the Benghazi consulate with rocket-propelled grenades – and killed an American official who was instrumental in helping overthrow the man who ruled unchallenged for 42 years. It will also highlight the grave problem of security as the authorities in Tripoli struggle to create a functioning national police force and control militia weapons.

US ambassador to Libya, 3 American staff members killed in attack

It's what Al-CIA-Da was put in power to do after overthrowing the legitimate Libyan Government. DUH!

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/09/12/us-ambassador-to-libya-and-3-embassy-staff-members-reportedly-killed-in-libya/

The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other American staff members were killed Tuesday in an attack on the U.S. consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi, the White House confirmed. President Obama, in a written statement issued Wednesday morning, called the attack "outrageous" and "senseless."

Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens was killed Tuesday night when he and a group of embassy employees went to the consulate to try to evacuate staff. The protesters, angry over a film that ridiculed Islam's Prophet Muhammad, were firing gunshots and rocket-propelled grenades.

I especially like this picture on Fox that has the "V" masks so they can associate that image with the murder of an American Ambassador.

Obama condemns killing of U.S. ambassador to Libya

Sure the murder of this guy is not good! Killing of anyone is not good when its based on agenda versus necessity.

However, Obama isn't condemning the MURDER OF INNOCENT people in Libya or the other 6 or more where the military and Muslim Brotherhood are working in tandem murdering thousands?

Obama still doesn't get what "blow back" means. People who are under attack by the NWO, will fight back. It's a human response!

What is so hard to understand about that, Barack? Your hypocrisy and that of your predecessor is astounding! If anyone has blood on their hands, it is your admin and the last one who went to war and keep them going for your own purposes which you still haven't explained to the American people, much less those you are killing overseas. Now who's the real bad guy here?

Exactly !!!  The criminals in this government unleash missiles,  foreign mercenaries, and Al Qaeda on the innocent people of Libya.  It is either hubris or foolishness to think that American spies and intelligence agents would be welcomed.

Obama tightens security after diplomats killed in Libya

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/story/2012/09/12/obama-tightens-security-after-diplomats-killed-in-libya/57752828/1

U.S. officials said some 50 Marines who are members of an elite group known as a Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team are being sent to Libya to reinforce security at U.S. diplomatic facilities. The team's role is to respond on short notice to terrorism threats, say officials, who disclosed the plan on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday said "this was an attack by a small and savage group, not the government" or the people of Libya, saying it should "shock the conscience of people of all faiths around the world."

Was U.S. Ambassador Lynched?

Attack on U.S. Consulate illustrates disastrous outcome of Obama’s “humanitarian” intervention in Libya

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Wednesday, September 12, 2012

Despite initial reports suggesting he died in a rocket attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, photos appear to indicate that U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens was killed by a lynch mob, illustrating the disastrous consequences of the Obama administration’s military intervention in Libya – arming some of the very same men who carried out today’s attack.
Was U.S. Ambassador Lynched? 120912stevens

“The US ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, has been killed in a rocket attack in the eastern city of Benghazi along with three other embassy staff, the White House confirmed on Wednesday,” reports France 24.

However, images released in the hours after the attack show Stevens’ body being paraded around by a mob. The body appears to show signs of torture.

Subsequent reports speculated that Stevens’ car was attacked as he and the three other personnel attempted to escape from the Consulate. The other embassy staff were shot while Stevens’ died of “suffocation,” suggesting he was lynched and physically attacked by the mob.

The incident is being portrayed by the establishment media as a reaction to a film produced in the United States that purportedly ridicules Islam’s Prophet Mohammed.

However, the wider issue of how the 2011 bombardment of Libya paved the way for gangs of militant Islamic extremists, once backed by NATO powers with heavy weapons, to fill the power vacuum left by Colonel Gaddafi, has been largely ignored.

Indeed, it’s a horrific irony that Hillary Clinton’s infamous gloating about Gaddafi’s execution – “We came, we saw, he died” – has now come full circle, with Stevens paying for such despicable arrogance with his life.

After NATO-backed insurgents with links to Al-Qaeda helped topple Colonel Gaddafi in Libya, they proudly flew the distinctive black Al-Qaeda flag over courthouses in Benghazi and other centers of power. That same flag flew over the Consulate today after the U.S. flag was torn down and burned.

In the aftermath of last year’s “no fly zone,” which turned into an incessant bombardment almost overnight, Libya, once one of the richest countries in Africa, is now run by brutal armed gangs who have rounded up black people in huge numbers, subjecting them to torture, incarceration in concentration camps and execution.
Was U.S. Ambassador Lynched? 120912stevens1

A February 2012 report by Amnesty International found that Libya’s militias are “largely out of control” and that “Thousands of detainees are being held in various prisons across the country” and are being “tortured to death.” The country’s NATO-installed rulers have proven themselves unwilling to prevent widespread abuse.

Libya’s oil resources have been carved up between NATO-aligned corporations while the country’s financial enslavement to global bankers is ensured with a fresh IMF loan and the end of their state-owned central banking system.

Despite the fact that Libya is in a state of hellish sectarian warfare and societal collapse, with armed thugs hostile to the west now in control of major power centers, the White House is intent on repeating the same disaster in Syria, funneling arms to rebels, the majority of whom aren’t even Syrian, who are being led by Al-Qaeda terrorists.

Indeed, some of the very same militants responsible for the Libya debacle were airlifted into Syria with the aid of NATO powers as part of the effort to topple Bashar Al-Assad.

The assault on Libya was carried out with absolutely zero constitutional authorization.

In June last year, President Obama arrogantly expressed his hostility to the rule of law when he dismissed the need to get congressional authorization to commit the United States to a military intervention in Libya, churlishly dismissing criticism and remarking, “I don’t even have to get to the Constitutional question.”

Obama tried to legitimize his failure to obtain Congressional approval for military involvement by sending a letter to Speaker of the House John Boehner in which he said the military assault was “authorized by the United Nations (U.N.) Security Council.”

Today’s attack on the U.S. Consulate serves as another reminder that the military-industrial complex’s new paradigm of “humanitarian intervention” – a scam they hope to repeat in Syria – has nothing to do with humanitarianism in that it only results in more bloodshed and more instability.

Al-Qaeda Murders U.S. Ambassador and Staff in Libya

Kurt Nimmo
Infowars.com

http://www.infowars.com/al-qaeda-murders-u-s-ambassador-and-staff-in-libya/

A terrorist group responding to an anti-Islamic film produced in the United States has killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, and three of his staff members.

VIDEO
http://youtu.be/NJ6VzwubxxA

The attack occurred in the al-Qaeda stronghold of Benghazi and was carried out by “al Qaeda-linked gunmen” belonging to Ansar al-Sharia (Partisans of Sharia), according to Reuters.

“The American ambassador and three staff members were killed when gunmen fired rockets in their direction,” a Libyan official in Benghazi said.

As historian Webster Tarpley and others noted during the orchestrated overthrow of Libya, the so-called rebels supported by the United States and NATO consisted largely of al-Qaeda jihadists. In March of 2011, Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi the leader of the Libyan rebels “who trained and hobnobbed with Osama bin Laden at the Khost terrorist training camp in Afghanistan,” admitted his fighters were linked to al-Qaeda.

VIDEO
http://youtu.be/h1qlB61mmFg

In February of 2011, AFP reported that al-Qaeda had established an Islamic emirate in Derna, in eastern Libya, headed by a former US prisoner at Guantanamo Bay. “They have an FM radio station and have begun to impose the burqa” and have “executed people who refuse to cooperate with them,” Khaled Khaim told the news agency.

“This gaggle of fanatics, psychotics, and criminals is billed by the CIA media as an effective ruling elite for the future democratic governance of Libya,” writes Tarpley. “In reality, the Benghazi rebel council, heavily larded with al-Qaeda terrorists, could only preside over the descent of the country into a chaos of tribalism, warlords, and criminal syndicates which would spell the end of civilization itself in the area. Precisely this appears to be the goal of US policy, and not just in Libya.”

Reuters mentions that the Obama administration “supported the Libyan insurgency [al-Qaeda] with funds, weapons and training” but fails to note the al-Qaeda connection.

In addition to “chaos of tribalism, warlords, and criminal syndicates” presiding in Libya, the war-ravaged failed state is now a foothold for al-Qaeda, the CIA-created nemesis and perpetual enemy that feeds the national security state and its military-industrial appendage. The murder of ambassador Stevens will feed more grist into the war on terrorism propaganda mill and will be exploited as an excuse to destabilize and attack more countries on the bankster hit list in the Middle East and Africa.

Doesn't anyone else see how scripted this shit is? I have not seen the name of the "movie" that supposedly ignited this Islamic outrage against the evil satan, if one even exists. How coincidental is it that this violence would erupt on the 11th anniversary of the fall of the twin towers?

FB is on fire with Islamaphobia today. Heres a sample.....

" After the 11th Anniversary of 9-11 and the murders of our Americans here and abroad....our President and our Sec of State (both Muslims) have refused to stand up against the Muslim Terrorists, rubbed shoulders with the Muslim Brotherhood (who are the ones who destroyed the Twin Towers and have committed terrorist attacks around the world) at the Democrat Convention (by the way WHY would any American be a Democrat after denoucing God and trashing Israel)

WE NEED TO REMEMBER "NOVEMBER IS COMING" AND I WILL VOTE FOR THE MAN WHO IS NOT MUSLIM!"

The stupid sheep are blind, and are being led by the nose by the msm. They will believe anything after seeing the bloody pics of that poor ambassador. The poop is close enough to the fan blades to start splattering any time now. Ya best be getting ready.

We see it.  This incident follows the phony controversy over the the Osama Bin Liden psyop that has been going on for couple weeks.   US government and the mainstream media are providing the American people with their 2 minutes of hate.  We need to be reminding that scary dark people in foreign places hate us because we are overloaded with debt, have trendy electronic devices and can watch American football.
Pay no attention that Homeland Security is buying huge amounts of ammunition.  Pay no attention that majority of Americans have seen their wealth disappear doing the engineered financial crash 2008.

After looking at the prisonplanet article and pictures, it looks like this was targeted hit.

American who risked life to stop Gadhafi killed in Libya

http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/12/world/africa/libya-us-ambassador-killed/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

But U.S. sources told CNN on Wednesday that the Benghazi attack was planned in advance, and the attackers used the protest outside the consulate as a diversion. The sources could not say whether the attackers instigated the protest or merely took advantage of it, and they say they don't believe Stevens was specifically targeted.

A senior U.S. official familiar with the details of the attack said a grenade set the building ablaze, leaving the Americans facing both a fire inside and attackers outside. Stevens and the others who died were separated from the rest of the staff while trying to escape to the roof of the building and succumbed to smoke inhalation, the senior official said.

[ I think this article is wrong. Obama is letting Clinton take the blame for the CFR/Chatham House policies (of a new unified Isamic States - Arab Union) . Wasn't she in on the joke? isn't her husband a Chatham house Rhodes scholar? Are they stupid? - no ]

Clinton's role in Obama's failed Muslim outreach

Jennifer Rubin says that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton deserves some of the blame for the miserable state of President Obama's Middle East policies.

The Egyptian elections are yet another failure for Obama's "Muslim outreach." Our quiet diplomacy -- the Obama team likes to refer to its efforts as "smart" diplomacy -- has proven to be utterly ineffective. It's clear that Hosni Mubarak doesn't take the administration very seriously. And in fact that's increasingly true throughout the Middle East.

Obama’s Middle East Policy: A Unified Field Theory

Posted on Mon, December 5, 2011

U.S. President Barack Obama (C) speaks during a Cabinet meeting as U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton (L) and U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta listen in the Cabinet Room of the White House as August 3, 2011in Washington, DC. (Photo by Pool/Getty Images)

Obama’s Middle East Policy: A Unified Field Theory

In the history of physics, the “unified field theory” was an attempt to bring together an understanding of all forms of energy in a single explanation. Albert Einstein tried and failed to discover this. I don’t know much about physics but I know about Middle East policy.

So here’s an effort to bring together all of Obama’s regional policy into a single analysis and explaining everything in 1100 words.

The first point is that the Obama Administration’s behavior must be divided into two phases. They overlap and feature the same kind of thinking but they are also quite separate.

Phase One, from January 2009 until December 2010 was characterized by an emphasis on Israel-Palestinian peacemaking. Obama’s Administration believed that it was possible to make rapid progress toward peace and also thought that this was essential to achieve anything else in the Middle East.

To achieve peace, they thought, required mainly putting pressure on Israel for more concessions and winning support from Arab states and Muslims by proving that the United States was more sympathetic to them than any previous presidency.

I don’t want to review all of the details but this included being more critical of Israel, lavishly flattering Arabs and Muslims, asking Arab states for help, demanding a building freeze on Israeli settlements, adding a construction stop in east Jerusalem to these demands, calling for a December 2009 Camp David summit, urging a return to the 1967 borders with minor changes, and other steps.

There were many subtle barbs here at Israel that pro-Obama and many anti-Obama writers missed. For example, the Obama Administration at first reneged on its predecessor’s promise that Israel could keep West Bank “settlement blocs.” The Obama Administration secretly agreed not to ask for a freeze in east Jerusalem and then broke that promise by publicly attacking Israel on that point. The real problem with the “1967 borders” stance was that the Obama called for an Israeli return to the 1967 borders only after which there would be negotiations to determine what changes, if any, would be made.

There are two key points to make here. The first is that U.S. policy was a total failure, something the Administration admitted. The second was that the failure came due to Arab state refusal to help and Palestinian Authority total rejectionism. The Administration has never admitted, perhaps not really understood, this factor.

It was easy to overstate the nature of the gap between U.S. policy and Israel. Most of the Administration activities were purely verbal and not material. Military aid and relationships with Israel continued. The Israeli government handled these problems pretty well. By late 2009 the relationship had been basically stabilized and not too much harm had been done.

Phase Two: Of course, the basic ideas that would characterize Phase Two were visible from the beginning of the Obama Administration. Yet here, too, the most important points were often missed. Take Obama’s Cairo speech, for example. It was criticized on various grounds — the hollow “even-handedness,” the implication that Israel was only the result of the Holocaust, the invitation of Muslim Brotherhood leaders, etc.

But the super-elephant in the room that nobody else has ever noted is this: Obama endorsed an Islamic identity for the Arabs over and above nationalism or loyalty to any specific state. It was not a pro-Arab speech but a pro-Islamist speech.

Another aspect of this policy of being nice to Islamists (or Islamist allies like Syria) and mean to historic U.S. allies was the Obama Administration’s slowness to move toward sanctions against Iran, its softness toward Turkey, Hizballah and other radical forces in Lebanon, and Syria. It even gave aid and comfort to Hamas in the Gaza Strip by pressing Israel to reduce sanctions to a minimum.

While other elements of this approach can be cited from the first few years, this approach took the lead beginning in January 2011 with the onset of the “Arab Spring.” Obama didn’t just endorse democracy, he actively worked to bring down governments friendly to the United States (Egypt, Tunisia, and Bahrain) and ignored the views and interests of other U.S. allies (Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia). Ignoring the State Department’s proposal of a cautious transition, he swept away the barriers to Islamist takeovers. The Libyan operation, whatever its motivations, amounted to the same thing.

[ Interesting james Rubin now on CNN telling us about Libya.... a little historical background....]

The New World Order is Here
...
In May of 1999, several of my friends were sitting in Aqaba, Jordan, waiting for the CNN world news to come on.  When the world news came on, the camera focused on a man, wearing a military uniform, standing in front of the American flag in Washington, D.C.  He was James Rubin, the spokesman for NATO.  Across the TV screen was “One World Government”.   T

his one world government was publicly announced also on BBC London at the same time.

James Rubin said, “What you are seeing in the bombing of Kosovo is a demonstration of the core military might of the one world government.”

The U.N. had been questioning the right of NATO to bomb Kosovo.

James Rubin said, “The U.N. had better back off and know who is now in charge”.

We sat there stunned.  A little later, we heard the report from BBC, which said that the one world government has been announced, and it is the G-8 nations and NATO, headed by Clinton and Blair.  Well, now its Bush and Blair.  Notice the weakening of the U.N. – which unifies nations of the one world government, but is not the leader of them.  No nation on the face of the earth is sovereign anymore.  I’m sure you’ve noticed that.

James Rubin Abruptly Departs Bloomberg
By JEREMY W. PETERS AND MICHAEL BARBARO

James P. Rubin, a former assistant secretary of state hired by Bloomberg News just 10 months ago to help lead its new opinion-writing section, has left his job after a rocky start.
His departure came as a surprise not only because of his short tenure with Bloomberg but because of the pivotal role he was supposed to play in an initiative that the company and its founder, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, see as central to its growth as an influential media outlet.

Bloomberg announced Mr. Rubin’s hiring last December with considerable fanfare, playing up his diplomatic experience with the Clinton administration and placing him in charge of editorials on international affairs.

Mr. Rubin was part of a high-powered duo overseeing Bloomberg View, as the editorial writing division is known, joining David Shipley, the former op-ed editor of The New York Times. Mr. Shipley is remaining with Bloomberg View and will become its sole executive editor.

Mr. Rubin’s last day with Bloomberg was Monday. Both parties said their partnership was not working out as planned.

She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Amanpour, who is keeping her name, is a daughter of Patricia and Mohammad Amanpour of Surrey, England. Her father is a retired airline executive who worked in Teheran, Iran.

Mr. Rubin, 38, is known as Jamie. He is the State Department's chief spokesman. He graduated from Columbia University, from which he also received a master's degree in international affairs.

He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Rubin of Larchmont, N.Y. His father is the president of Pindar Press, a New York magazine company that publishes guides to the Summer and Winter Olympics. The bridegroom's mother, Judith Rubin, works at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, where she trains students specializing in psychiatry to conduct interviews.

Report: Drones headed to Libya

http://www.politico.com/politico44/2012/09/report-drones-headed-to-libya-135317.html

A senior U.S. official tells CNN that U.S. unmanned surveillance drones are expected to begin flying over Benghazai and other locations in eastern Libya to look for jihadi encampments and targets that may be tied to the attack on U.S. State Department personnel.

CBS: Libyan security team fingered US ambassador to be killed; Update: Libyan president issues apology
September 12, 2012 by Ed Morrissey
...
The dispatch of more Marines to Libya comes a little late, writes Michael Patrick Leahy at Breitbart, who wonders why the US didn’t have more Marines stationed at this mission in the first place.  Or did they have any?

Security at the consulate was apparently provided by Libyan nationals hired by the United States. While security for American embassies is typically provided by our own Marines, the two Marines reported killed in yesterday’s attacks appear not to have been stationed at the embassy, but were sent there from another unknown location as the violence erupted. There is also no indication if these two Marines were the only American military personnel on site at the time of Ambassador Stevens’s death.

All reports indicate that the security forces at the consulate were overwhelmed by the size of the militant crowds and offered no resistance as they stormed the building, looted it, and killed the four Americans.

As the facts surrounding the destruction of the American consulate and death of Ambassador Stevens become known, investigators will focus on these question: Did the State Department provide adequate security for our embassy staff there? If not, why not?

And finally, the most important question of all: Where were the Marines?

http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2012/09/197694.htm

QUESTION: Thanks for doing this. Listen, there’ve been troubles in Benghazi for some time now. I understand the Consulate was attacked or bombed two, three months ago. The British have put out threat warnings about Benghazi. Was there any consideration before the attack yesterday of beefing up security there?
...

SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL ONE: Well, again, I’m not going to get into the specifics of how we were postured in terms of security at our mission in Benghazi beyond what I said. So – because we don’t ever talk about the details of those kinds of things.

What I would say, though, is that we did, as we did in missions around the world, review the security there in the context of preparing for the anniversary of September 11th. And at that point, there was no information and there were no threat streams to indicate that we were insufficiently postured
...
QUESTION: Dina Temple-Raston with NPR. I’m wondering if you can tell us whether there was any specific recent intelligence indicating that there was going to be a threat against the consulate.

SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL ONE: Dina, you won’t be surprised if we decline to talk about intelligence. I did speak a little bit earlier about our review of our security posture in advance of September 11th.
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole ; He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. - Job 5

Mohammed Movie’s Mystery Director
by Christine Pelisek Sep 13, 2012 4:45 AM EDT

Who is Sam Bacile, the man behind the anti-Muslim hate film that sparked deadly protests in Libya and Egypt? Christine Pelisek hunts down the most infamous director since Leni Riefenstahl.

Quote
This week, the director was busy introducing himself to various news outlets as sam Bacile. He told The Wall Street Journal he was a 52-year-old Israeli real-estate developer in California, and that he had made the film with $5 million raised from 100 Jewish donors. He said he made the movie, which depicts the Prophet Mohammed as a womanizer, pedophile, and homosexual, because “Islam is a cancer.”

The Associated Press, which spoke to Bacile by phone, reported that he went into hiding shortly after the violence erupted at the embassy in Libya. Bacile claimed he felt bad over the death of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, but blamed his death on poor security at the embassy. “I feel the security system [at the embassies] is no good,” Bacile told the AP. “America should do something to change it.”

The Daily Mail, which also interviewed Bacile, described him as having a “voice thickly accented.” But that doesn’t jibe with what officers observed of the director at the premiere in Hollywood. “He sounded Western. He didn’t have a heavy accent,” the law enforcement source said. “These guys adopt different roles for different people.”

The thing(s) that bug me about this story is:

Where were the Marines?  This is not the Swedish embassy; this is the Libyan embassy.

Two, doesn't that place have a "safe room"?  Why is he going in a car and driving away from an attack?  Wouldn't it make more sense to lock the place down and wait to be evacuated by the marines?

Three, why did he die of "asphyxiation" and the other people were shot?  Wouldn't they just shoot him as well?

Bizarre story behind film that supposedly sparked middle east unrest

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com
Thursday, September 13, 2012

An anti-Muslim film that has been blamed for the attacks on U.S. embassies in Egypt, Libya and Yemen is likely a contrived fraud designed to stir up unrest in the Middle East while shielding the true reasons behind the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens.

A trailer for the film, entitled The Innocence of Muslims, has been on You Tube for over two months. Despite the alleged film maker’s claim that the movie was funded by rich Jewish donors to the tune of $5 million dollars, it has all the quality of a low budget film school project. The trailer has now been banned in several middle eastern countries, including Egypt and Afghanistan.

Indeed, the full film itself may not even exist, a doubt that has also been shared about the existence of its shadowy director Sam Bacile, who told the Associated Press this week that he was a 56-year-old “Israeli Jew” who lives in California, despite telling actors on set that he is Egyptian, while others have claimed he is an American.

Bacile claims he made the film to illustrate how “Islam is a cancer, period.”

However, numerous authorities have failed in attempting to locate a ‘Sam Bacile’ residing in California. Bacile is likely a pseudonym for the only real person who has been positively connected with the movie – Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, a 55-year-old Coptic Christian living in California who was convicted for federal bank fraud in 2010.

The movie itself – or the 14 minutes of it which have been released – is also highly suspect. Actors involved in filming were told “they were appearing in a film about the life of a generic Egyptian 2,000 years ago.” Following the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, all 80 cast members put out a joint statement stating that they were misled by the producer.

“The entire cast and crew are extremely upset and feel taken advantage of by the producer. We are 100% not behind this film and were grossly misled about its intent and purpose,” the statement says. “We are shocked by the drastic re-writes of the script and lies that were told to all involved. We are deeply saddened by the tragedies that have occurred.”

The film has been purposely dubbed and edited to elicit maximum outrage from Muslims. The Prophet Muhammad is depicted as a pedophile, a homosexual, a religious phony, a philanderer, a womanizer and a bloodthirsty dictator.

During dialogue, the actors words have been crudely dubbed to include references to Muhammad that were not in the original script.

As Cindy Lee Garcia, an actress involved in the movie, told Gawker, “In the script and during the shooting, nothing indicated the controversial nature of the final product. Muhammed wasn’t even called Muhammed; he was “Master George.”

“The words Muhammed were dubbed over in post-production, as were essentially all other offensive references to Islam and Muhammed,” writes Adrian Chen.

For example, at 9:03 in the trailer, the words “Is your Muhammed a child molester?” are heard, yet the actress’ voice has been dubbed as her lips do not form the word “Muhammed”.

As the Christian Science Monitor summarizes, the film looks like, “it could have been ginned up by someone sitting a basement with cheap dubbing software.”

Everything about the movie suggests it was a contrived fraud to artificially manufacture unrest in the middle east at a time where speculation that the U.S. and Israel are about to launch military interventions in Iran and Syria is rife.

The amateurish nature of the film may be a ruse to deflect suspicion away from its true purpose and the real identities of its creators.

“Those sniffing the air properly smell some sort of intelligence/influence operation in the whole situation,” writes Daniel McAdams, comparing the film to Kony 2012. “A purposely bad cover for what happened in Benghazi yesterday? A badly done attempted cover for what happened yesterday? Arabs — even Muslim Brotherhood — looking to score points by blaming “wealthy Jews” for making the film? A power struggle between Islamist factions in Egypt? Israelis attempting to make it look like Arabs made a crudely anti-Semitic cover story for a crude film?”

What’s known for sure is the fact that the establishment media has seized upon the movie as an excuse to explain away the attacks on the embassies in Cairo and Benghazi as just another instance of extremist Muslims getting riled up over nothing in particular.

Subsequent reports confirmed that the attacks were coordinated well in advance of the release of the Arabic version of the trailer this week and had nothing to do with the film, but the media immediately ran with that narrative.

This conveniently disguises the true narrative behind the attacks, which is the fact that the United States and other NATO powers are seeing their chickens come home to roost having armed and empowered Al-Qaeda affiliated Islamic extremists in pursuit of regime change, most notably in Libya where the removal of Gaddafi was achieved via NATO’s support for the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group – which is listed as a terrorist organization by the State Department and was responsible for killing U.S. troops in Iraq.

Given that these same militants are now being used by Gulf states and NATO powers in a bid to topple President Bashar Al-Assad in Syria, their connection to the embassy attacks must be downplayed.
This was evident when NATO stooge Ali Aujali, Libya’s Ambassador to Washington, ludicrously claimed that Gaddafi loyalists were responsible for killing Ambassador Stevens.

With embassies in Yemen, Tunisia and other countries now coming under siege, the mass media’s promotion of what would otherwise have been an obscure, ineffectual and downright laughable 14 minute You Tube trailer has now created a crisis that threatens the stability of the entire region.

The bizarre circumstances behind The Innocence of Muslims, its shadowy creators and the deliberate attempt to manipulate the film to offend Muslims clearly suggests that the whole farce was a contrived set-up to inflame tensions in order to justify an acceleration of U.S., Israeli and NATO aggression across the Middle East and North Africa.

http://www.wyomingnews.com/articles/2012/09/13/ap/headlines/us_egypt_filmmaker.txt

The actors in the film issued a joint statement Wednesday saying they were misled about the project and said some of their dialogue was crudely dubbed during post-production.

In the English language version of the trailer, direct references to Muhammad appear to be the result of post-production changes to the movie. Either actors aren't seen when the name "Muhammad" is spoken in the overdubbed sound, or they appear to be mouthing something else as the name of the prophet is spoken.

"The entire cast and crew are extremely upset and feel taken advantage of by the producer," said the statement, obtained by the Los Angeles Times. "We are 100 percent not behind this film and were grossly misled about its intent and purpose. We are shocked by the drastic rewrites of the script and lies that were told to all involved. We are deeply saddened by the tragedies that have occurred."

The person who identified himself as Bacile and described himself as the film's writer and director told the AP on Tuesday that he had gone into hiding. But doubts rose about the man's identity amid a flurry of false claims about his background and role in the purported film.

Bacile told the AP he was an Israeli-born, 56-year-old, Jewish writer and director. But a Christian activist involved in the film project, Steve Klein, told AP on Wednesday that Bacile was a pseudonym and that he was Christian.

Klein had told the AP on Tuesday that the filmmaker was an Israeli Jew who was concerned for family members who live in Egypt.

Officials in Israel said there was no record of Bacile as an Israeli citizen.

When the AP initially left a message for Bacile, Klein contacted the AP from another number to confirm the interview request was legitimate then Bacile called back from his own cell phone.

Klein said he didn't know the real name of the man he called "Sam," who came to him for advice on First Amendment issues.

About 15 key players from the Middle East _ from Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran and a couple Coptic Christians from Egypt _ worked on the film, Klein said.

"Most of them won't tell me their real names because they're terrified," Klein said. "He was really scared and now he's so nervous. He's turned off his phone."

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate groups, said Klein is a former Marine and longtime religious-right activist who has helped train paramilitary militias at a California church. It described Klein as founder of Courageous Christians United, which conducts protests outside abortion clinics, Mormon temples and mosques.

It quoted Klein as saying he believes that California is riddled with Muslim Brotherhood sleeper cells "who are awaiting the trigger date and will begin randomly killing as many of us as they can."

In his brief interview with the AP, Bacile defiantly called Islam a cancer and said he intended the film to be a provocative political statement condemning the religion.

But several key facts Bacile provided proved false or questionable. Bacile told AP he was 56 but identified himself on his YouTube profile as 74. Bacile said he is a real estate developer, but Bacile does not appear in searches of California state licenses, including the Department of Real Estate.

Hollywood and California film industry groups and permit agencies said they had no records of the project under the name "Innocence of Muslims," but a Los Angeles film permit agency later found a record of a movie filmed in Los Angeles last year under the working title "Desert Warriors."

A man who answered a phone listed for the Vine Theater, a faded Hollywood movie house, confirmed that the film had run for a least a day, and possibly longer, several months ago, arranged by a customer known as "Sam."

United States ambassador Stevens died on September 11, along with three other Americans, when the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi came under attack amid a protest about a U.S. made film that mocked Mohammed. The same time as 9/11 the world trade center Twin Towers in 2001. Its exactly 11 years to the ambassadors murder. Alex was right again when he recently stated another false flag or staged major incident will happen. 11th day of the 9th Month in the 2001 and 11th day in the 9th Month 2012! Its a bit spooky though, exactly 11 years. Maximum impact to the worlds people, what are they going to do now? ???

GOP: US Consulate received repeated threats, had requested more security
By Julian Pecquet - 10/02/12 03:28 PM ET

Two House Republicans say they have been informed by whistleblowers that the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was attacked and threatened 13 times before the incident last month that killed four Americans.

Reps. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) sent Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a letter on Tuesday that detailed the whistleblowers’ allegations.

“Based on information provided to the Committee by individuals with direct knowledge of events in Libya, the attack that claimed the ambassador’s life was the latest in a long line of attacks on Western diplomats and officials in Libya in the months leading up to September 11, 2012,” Issa and Chaffetz wrote. “It was clearly never, as Administration officials once insisted, the result of a popular protest."

The congressmen said the consulate asked for more security to deal with the growing threat but was turned down by the administration.

“In addition, multiple U.S. federal government officials have confirmed to the Committee that, prior to the September 11 attack, the U.S. mission in Libya made repeated requests for increased security in Benghazi. The mission in Libya, however, was denied these resources by officials in Washington.”

.U.S. Is Tracking Killers in Attack on Libya Mission

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/03/world/africa/us-said-to-be-preparing-potential-targets-tied-to-libya-attack.html?_r=2&

WASHINGTON — The United States is laying the groundwork for operations to kill or capture militants implicated in the deadly attack on a diplomatic mission in Libya, senior military and counterterrorism officials said Tuesday, as the weak Libyan government appears unable to arrest or even question fighters involved in the assault.

The top-secret Joint Special Operations Command is compiling so-called target packages of detailed information about the suspects, the officials said. Working with the Pentagon and the C.I.A., the command is preparing the dossiers as the first step in anticipation of possible orders from President Obama to take action against those determined to have played a role in the attack on a diplomatic mission in the eastern city of Benghazi that killed Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three colleagues three weeks ago.

Potential military options could include drone strikes, Special Operations raids like the one that killed Osama bin Laden and joint missions with Libyan authorities. But administration officials say no decisions have been made on any potential targets.

...........
Intelligence officials are focusing on militants in Benghazi and eastern Libya, but they must also survey elsewhere because of the possibility that some have fled. And to help prioritize which militants to watch, the Pentagon has stepped up its use of surveillance drones flying over eastern Libya, collecting electronic intercepts, imagery and other information that could help planners compile their target lists.

Libyans hand over hundreds of weapons to army

People arrived early to exchange their weapons, including rocket launchers, for electronic equipment including new laptops and TVs

Hundreds of Libyans have handed in weapons in Benghazi and Tripoli as part of a disarmament drive organised by the army to target militia groups.

Assault rifles, anti-aircraft guns, rocket launchers and even tanks were among military hardware handed in.

The call to transfer weapons to Libya's army was promoted through a private television station.

It apparently gained momentum after the US ambassador was killed in Benghazi, sparking resentment of armed militias
...
The government has estimated that over 200,000 people in Libya are armed. Previous attempts to disarm people have had little support.

State Department: We Monitored Libya Attack ‘in Almost Real Time’
By Noah Shachtman and Robert Beckhusen
October 10, 2012

By Noah Shachtman and Robert BeckhusenOctober 10, 2012

U.S. officials in Washington monitored the Sept. 11 attack on the American mission in Benghazi as it was happening. But don’t blame American policymakers for initially blaming the unrest in Benghazi on protesters.

Those are those are just two of the many contradictory messages coming from State Department employees as they testify before the House Oversight Committee, which held hearings Wednesday on the attack. But they’re not only only mismatches. Depending on which witness you believe, security at the Benghazi mission was either just fine — “the correct number of assets,” one State Department official said — or woefully inadequate.

“There was no plan, there was just hope that everything would get better,” one security official testified.

Charlene Lamb, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Programs, said in her prepared testimony (.pdf) that she had a firm grasp on what happened in Benghazi, starting mere moments after the mission came under assault. ”When the attack began, a Diplomatic Security agent working in the tactical operations center immediately… alerted the annex U.S. quick reaction security team stationed nearby … and the Diplomatic Security Command Center in Washington. From that point on, I could follow what was happening in almost real-time,” Lamb explained.

Yet confusion remained about the attack’s origin. Five days after the strike, American ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice said the unrest in Benghazi began with a protest against an anti-Islam video. State Department officials were finally forced to concede on Wednesday there was no protest. Under Secretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy insisted in testimony on Wednesday that there was no cover-up of the attack’s true cause.

“We have always made clear that we are giving the best information we have at the time. And that information has evolved,” Kennedy said in his prepared statement (.pdf). “For example, if any administration official, including any career official, were on television on Sunday, September 16th, they would have said what Ambassador Rice said. The information she had at that point from the intelligence community is the same that I had at that point. As time went on, additional information became available. Clearly, we know more today than we did on the Sunday after the attack.”

One thing that was known months and months ago: Benghazi was a seriously hostile place for American diplomats.

Gaddafi loyalists plotted to attack U.S. embassies in Benghazi and Tripoli as early as December 2011, according to a summary of security incidents (.pdf) in Libya compiled by the State Department and given to congressional investigators.

The plot, called “Papa Noel” — French for “Santa Claus” — was busted up by Libyan security forces before it was ever put into action, and was “allegedly planned for the Christmas and New Years Eve holidays” in December 2011. But the plot was also planned to go into action a mere two months after the death of dictator Muammar Gaddafi, a sign — and an omen — that militants intended to attack U.S. diplomatic stations much earlier than previously thought.

“According to [government of Libya] security official Abdessalam Borghathi, a network of Gaddafi loyalists were behind the plot and the GoL arrested the members and dismantled the group,” the summary stated in a brief entry dated Dec. 20. The Libyan government reported seizing “150 RPG launchers, and various light weapons and ammunition and undisclosed sums of money.” The militants also used SMS messages to communicate, “confirming their intent in carrying out this operation as an explosive ‘Christmas gift’ to the Libyan people.”

The alleged plot was only one of 230 “specific security incidents” detailed in the report, but also one of the most sophisticated until the Sept. 11 complex attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and four other Americans. In April and again in June, militants attacked the consulate on with improvised explosives. In another warning to American personnel stationed in the city — this time in May — RPG rounds were fired at the nearby Benghazi office of the International Committee of the Red Cross. Two security officers were wounded in an RPG attack on the British ambassador’s convoy in June.

There was also a steady drumbeat of attacks on — and between — Libyans in the Benghazi. In April, antiaircraft and RPG fire was exchanged two-and-a-half miles from the consulate. Two weeks later, an American Foreign Service Officer had to be rescued from a firefight by the February 17 Brigade. Next, two South African contractors hired to dispose of unexploded bombs were kidnapped. In July, a Libyan air force helicopter was forced down after being hit by anti-aircraft fire. Less than two weeks after that, a dispute between two families led to one family attacking the other’s house with RPG rounds.

It was a dangerous trend. “The risk of U.S. Mission personnel, private U.S. citizens, and businesspersons encountering an isolating event as a result of militia or political violence is HIGH,” the embassy report warned. The Libyan government ”does not yet have the ability to effectively respond to and manage the rising criminal and militia related violence, which could result in an isolating event.”

“These incidents paint a clear picture that the environment in Libya was fragile at best and could degrade quickly,” wrote State Department security officer Eric Nordstrom in an e-mail provided to Danger Room. “Certainly, not an environment where post should be directed to ‘normalize’ operations and reduce security resources in accordance with an artificial time table.” By that, Nordstorm meant a push by State Department officials to avoid the perception that Libya’s security was getting worse, potentially turning into a situation like Iraq or Afghanistan.

The security situation in Benghazi was “a struggle and remained a struggle throughout my time there,” (.pdf) said Lt. Col. Andrew Wood, the State Department’s Site Security Team commander in Libya from February to August 2012. Wood, who is to testify to the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, added that “targeted attacks against westerners were on the increase.”

By July, the three diplomatic security teams on the ground in Libya were whittled down to one team “restricted from performing security work and limited to only training local guard force members,” according to Wood. That team was eventually withdrawn too. Nordstrom asked for an extension of the SST teams, but said he was turned down because there “would be too much political cost.”

“There was a complete and total lack of planning for what was going to happen next,” he added. “There was no plan, there was just hope that everything would get better.”

As Danger Room first reported, security was then largely left in the hands of British security firm Blue Mountain, which employed unarmed Libyan guards and paid them $4 per hour.

The State Department has been criticized for leaving the mission’s security up to such unimpressive forces — and for not hardening the mission in Benghazi, despite the drumbeat of danger. Lamb, who has never visited Libya, she insisted that there were the “orrect number of assets in Benghazi on the night of 9/11″: five diplomatic special security agents, three armed guards provided by the government of Libya, plus the $4/hour rent-a-guards.

Lamb said she wouldn’t have supported transfer of all or some of the heavily armed Site Security Team from Tripoli to Benghazi. And in her prepared statement, Lamb said the State Department had made all sorts of security improvements to the mission.

After acquiring the compound, we made a number of security upgrades. To strengthen the
compound’s perimeter, we extended the height of the outer wall with masonry concrete. Then
we added barbed wire and concertina razor wire to further extend the height of the wall to 12
feet. We increased the external lighting and erected Jersey Barriers –large concrete blocks –
outside the perimeter to provide anti-ram protection. Inside each of the three steel gates, we
installed steel drop bars to control vehicle traffic.

Inside the perimeter of the wall, we also added equipment to detect explosives, as well as an
Imminent Danger Notification System. We hardened wooden doors with steel and reinforced
locks. And we installed security grills on windows accessible from the ground. This included
escape windows with emergency releases.

We also built guard booths and sandbag emplacements to create defensive positions inside the
compound.

But there was only so much the State Department could do, Kennedy said. “We’re never going to have enough guns… We’re not an armed camp ready to fight it out as the U.S. military does,” he added. And in any case, the scattered IED [improvised explosive device] attacks and shootings were not enough to “indicate that there was a plan or any indication of a massive attack of the nature and lethality” of the complex consulate attack in Benghazi.

On Tuesday, an internal staff memo from congressional Democrats accused Rep. Darrell Issa, the Oversight Committee chairman, of stonewalling House Democrats from the investigation into the attacks. House Democrats also complained of being excluded from an Oct. 5 congressional delegation visit to Libya after Republicans allegedly concealed the trip until less than 24 hours before it was scheduled to leave. “It’s a shame they’re resorting to such petty abuses,” says the committee’s ranking member, Rep. Elijah Cummings. (Republicans countered that they found out about the trip just when Democrats did.) Democrats also complained of being left out of a classified briefing about the investigation organized by Speaker John Boehner. Hold on, because that political acrimony to likely to increase — especially if administration officials continue to contradict one another about what went on in Benghazi.

The US Had a Drone Watching the Final Hour of the Benghazi Sacking?
October 12, 2012 - 9:54 am
PJ Media

Eli Lake breaks more ground on Benghazi. The latest: The FBI picked up a video of the attack when it finally got to the sacked compound and is now going through that video. It shows a military-style assault, no protest.

Additionally:

In addition to the footage from the consulate cameras, the U.S. government is also poring over video taken from an overhead U.S. surveillance drone that arrived for the final hour of the night battle at the consulate compound and nearby annex.

And:

Video from the compound’s cameras debunk the initial line from the Obama administration that there was a protest in front of the consulate on the night of the attacks, according to one of the U.S. intelligence officials who has seen the footage, and a senior Obama administration official familiar with what they show.

The videos were filmed from multiple closed-circuit cameras throughout the compound, and are at times grainy and hard to decipher. There are also some gaps. There is no footage, for example, of Ambassador Chris Stevens going into the safe room where he eventually died from smoke inhalation. The footage at the gate of the compound is taken from an angle that filmed the attackers from the side, so the people in the crowd can mostly be seen in profile.

Questions: Was the drone an armed Predator or an unarmed type such as the Global Hawk? Could it have fired Hellfire missiles into the battle? Did it?

We used armed Predators during the 2011 Libya war .Was this drone one of those?

Previously we were told that Obama had been briefed on the attack prior to going to bed on the night of 9-11-12. The whereabouts and condition of Ambassador Stevens were not yet known. Yet Obama, we were told, went to bed and only learned of Stevens’ death the following morning.

Am I the only one who finds Obama’s behavior inhuman? The State Dept. officials testified that they were able to monitor events at the consulate in real time. Now we know how that was possible — we had a drone overhead. So Obama had a live feed from a drone above the battlefield, yet he tucked himself in not even knowing how the battle would end. The commander in chief didn’t stick around to see if we won or lost or whether the missing ambassador had survived or not. Would Obama have gone to bed during a nailbiter of a sports game?

The following day, after briefly acknowledging Stevens’ death, Obama again skipped his Presidential Daily Briefing and flew off to a Vegas fundraiser. Two days later, he would allow the mother of one of the slain Americans to cry on his shoulder while he offered her no comfort and his officials lied to her about her son’s death. Two days after that, US Ambassador Susan Rice would repeatedly lie about the assault, which the administration had had the ability to watch in real time from a drone circling overhead.

What sort of people do we have atop this administration?

Anyone else getting the feeling that Hillary sold Obama's administration and current Pres campaign up the river?  If she had "real time" knowledge of these events and let the rest of Obama's crew wander into the PR aftermath blind,... she's got some splainin to do.

Four days later, on May 7, the State Department authorized the U.S. embassy in Vienna to purchase a $108,000 electric vehicle charging station for the embassy motor pool’s new Chevrolet Volts. The purchase was a part of the State Department’s “Energy Efficiency Sweep of Europe” initiative, which included hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on green program expenditures at various U.S. Embassies.
