CNN founder and billionaire Ted Turner wants China's one-child policy to be imposed on the entire world because he believes it will help reduce global warming -- a theory disputed by many scientists.

While in Cancun this week to attend an international conference on climate change, the controversial Turner endorsed the communist regime's policy that penalizes -- typically via arrests or forced abortions -- families that exceed the one-child limit, saying: "If we're going to be here [as a species] 5,000 years from now, we're not going to do it with seven billion people." He also suggested that if such a plan was adopted, poor people could profit from their decision not to reproduce by selling fertility rights.

Steven Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute, (PRI) tells OneNewsNow that what Turner fails to understand is that the only way China has been able to enforce the policy is through force.

"Women arrested for the crime of being pregnant, women taken in by force to abortion clinics, women forcibly aborted at nine months pregnancy, babies killed at birth -- I don't know where Ted Turner has been for the last 30 years to have missed all this," Mosher laments.

He contends the billionaire is ignorant of all of those realities. And as Turner believes China enforces the law through fines, he wants to follow that method and encourage women to refrain from having more children through financial rewards.

But the PRI president adds that he does not buy the global warming myth either.

"I say 'myth' because the science is still unsettled," he explains. "We don't know whether the planet is warming or not. If it is warming, we don't know whether that's caused by human beings. If it's caused by human beings, we don't know [whether] that's a bad thing. I mean, it would make large parts of Russia and Canada fertile country, able to plant and grow crops."

Mosher insists the one-child policy is a recipe for tyranny -- not environmental protection. Meanwhile, Turner continues to donate millions of dollars to promote abortion and contraception worldwide.

Said in another thread, but it is deeply saddening how many people have feelings similar to this.

Until after being lectured on the evils of people who might have offspring dependent on the state you bring up bankster bailouts.

Then suddenly that becomes an unrelated issue.

To sell any "human right" ie (fertility rights) is the very definition of slavery!

That what prison is (theoretically) all about the removal of rights over an ascribed period of time to pay a debt.

Are we to be squeezed financially to the point where we voluntarily sell our rights to the very bank owned institutions that own everything else?

http://www.landreport.com/americas-100-largest-landowners/

1. TED TURNER 2+ million acres
Ted Turner added to his chart-topping 2 million-plus acres this year by acquiring Nonami Plantation near Albany, Georgia. The acquisition is a notable one because Nonami ranks as the largest property in the state where he was raised. A noted conservationist of land and native animal species, Turner this year also made news in the arena of renewable energy by partnering with Southern Company to develop one of the nation’s largest photovoltaic plants, generating enough energy to supply 9,000 homes with electricity. Cimarron, which is scheduled to begin commercial operation in late 2010, is located next to Turner’s Vermejo Park Ranch in New Mexico, the largest privately owned ponderosa pine ecosystem in the nation.

2. RED EMMERSON 1.722 million acres
The family’s Sierra Pacific Industries ranks as California’s largest private landowner, and in 2010 it placed 7,500 acres just north of Truckee under conservation easements–the first such action taken by the company.

3. BRAD KELLEY 1.7 million acres
Kelley’s enormous holdings are spread across Texas, New Mexico, and Florida–used primarily to propagate rare species of animals, including endangered ones. He tends to choose tracts with the natural resources needed to further his considerable conservation efforts.

4. IRVING FAMILY 1.2 million acres
The family business, Irving Woodlands, has been an integral part of forestry in Maine for more than 60 years. Not only are 20 percent of its holdings dedicated to habitat conservation, but the Irvings donated $1 million to create a chair in forest sustainability research at the University of Maine.

5. JOHN MALONE 1.2 million acres
The only major movement in this year’s top ten is Liberty Media CEO John Malone, whose purchase of the 290,000-acre Bell Ranch this August leapfrogged him from No. 7 to No. 5. Thanks to his conservation-minded land ownership, Malone has earned many friends (both two-legged and four-legged) over the years.

6. SINGLETON FAMILY 1.11 million acres
Since last year, the family has not added any deeded land to its holdings, but instead nearly doubled its leased property, from 95,000 acres to 180,000 acres in New Mexico. The family supports local youth livestock programs, established a rodeo scholarship at New Mexico State University, and hold several public horse clinics each year.

7. KING RANCH 911,215 acres
King Ranch is committed to a wide-ranging number of endeavors, including a sizable cattle operation, the King Ranch Institute for Ranch Management at Texas A&M Kingsville, a majority-owned interest in the largest citrus producer in the U.S., one of the country’s largest pecan shelling operations, and the largest turfgrass operation in the State of Texas–and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

8. PINGREE HEIRS 830,000 acres
It’s been almost a decade since the heirs of 19th-century shipping magnate David Pingree placed more than three quarters of a million acres of Maine forestland under conservation easement–a block of land larger than entire state of Rhode Island. The family’s private Seven Island Land Company prides itself on carrying on David’s plans for conservative long-term timber management.

9. REED FAMILY 770,000 acres
The Reed family operates the privately held Simpson Investment Company, the holding company for Simpson Lumber Company, one of the oldest, continuously operating forest products companies in the Pacific Northwest.

10. STAN KROENKE 740,000 acres
Kroenke just became majority owner of NFL’s St. Louis Rams, which required him to turn over control to his son of the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche. None of this impacts Kroenke Ranches, including Q Creek Land & Livestock Company in Wyoming, which runs up to 12,000 yearlings.

In researching this information, we discovered something that was very shocking to us. No one else in the world is even close to the Queen’s ownership, therefore, it doesn’t make sense to go through an extensive list here. We put the next remaining five top landowners below for your knowledge and enjoyment.

as an aside the largest U.S. COAL Lease holders:

Federal share of overall U.S. coal reserves
The U.S. government of by far the largest owner of coal in the United States.

Table 4: Major Holders of U.S. Coal Reserves (Billion short tons).

Note: Figure for U.S. Government is based on a National Mining Association calculation based on federal ownership of about one-third of the United States' coal reserves of 264 billion short tons.[3]

Holder Estimate Reserves
1. U.S. Government 88.000
2. Great Northern Properties Limited Partnership 20.000

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Great_Northern_Properties

Great Northern Properties (GNP) was formed in 1992 to acquire the coal-related assets of Burlington Railroad. GNP is privately held. The Montana properties are part of Natural Resource Partners (NRP), and contributed to approximately 14% of NRP's reserves in 2001.

This goes back to the Pinchot Family Railroad/Timber/COAL Barons... SO they STILL OWN IT ALL....

(Oh the reason they built the railroads was to transport the timber/coal etc...

Some of this timberland had been part of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest before Congress approved land swaps with Burlington Northern Railroad and the Weyerhaeuser Co. in the early 1980s to consolidate holdings in the new 110,000-acre monument.

Oh I found the Pinchot ORIGINAL HISTORY. They will not mention the Grandfather of Gifford Pinchot (where they got all the money from)  Cyrille Constantine Desire Pinchot

http://www.foresthistory.org/ASPNET/Places/GreyTowers/Miller_AllFamily.pdf
...
Within 20 days of Napoleon's landing in France, in what is known as the "flight of the eagle," the self-proclaimed  "Man of Destiny," swept into Paris to loud acclaim. Fearing the outbreak of civil war and worried for his own safety, Louis XVIII had already fled to Belgium, opening the way for Napoleon to proclaim a new constitution and begin his second reign. The eagle had landed.3

Among those who were overjoyed was Gifford's grandfather, Cyrille Constantine Desire Pinchot, then only 16, who lived in Breteuil, a small, prosperous community hugging the banks of the Noye River, approximately sixty miles north of Paris.
...
Either way, the Pinchots' political allegiance proved costly; with the return of Louis XVIII to the French throne, and Napoleon's subsequent exile to St. Helena, they apparently fell victim to the "White Terror,"
...

The Pinchots were not the first war-weary European immigrants to enter the United States in the early nineteenth-century. But unlike others who took shelter here, this new set of French migrants came well-heeled, and were able
thereby to cushion the shocks of the trans-Atlantic migration. Constantine apparently had sold his mercantile concern in Breteuil, but also brought a considerable stock of goods with him, material that enabled him to reestablish
himself in New York City. Three years later, he sold his business; with the profits purchased 400 acres of prime farmland outside Milford, Pennsylvania, and a town lot on which he erected a store and a house. Located in the northeastern
corner of the state, lying at the head of the Delaware River Water Gap, the Milford region was home to an increasing number of other French emigre families, no doubt one reason why the Pinchots moved there in 1819. But
they had no intention of simply replicating French provincial life: they were eager to exploit this rich land, and in the process refashion themselves as sturdy republicans, as new Americans.5
...
Pinchot was particularly interested in forested lands. To maximize profits, he, like other lumber investors of his day, clear cut the woods, set up temporary sawmills to process the lumber, secured the logs and boards together into rafts, and then, during the spring, would ship these down rain-swollen rivers to market in the ports of New York, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
...
By the time of Constantine's death in 1826, a decade after his family's flight from France, the Pinchots were among the largest landholders in Pike County.
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole ; He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. - Job 5

Fortunes multiply, Ted knows the old saying the one investment that won't fail is land, no more is being made. YUP   His lineage is secure.
It has to be a pyscosis of the elite to beleive that everything has a price, that a couple will sell their rights (fertility rights) to bring children into the world.

Turner has been married and divorced three times: to Judy Nye (1960–64), Jane Shirley Smith (1965–88), and actress Jane Fonda (1991–2001). He has five children.

Through Turner Enterprises, he owns 15 ranches in Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.[26] Totaling 1,910,585 acres (7,731.86 km2), his US land-holdings make Turner the largest individual landowner in North America (by acreage). According to his Ted's Montana Grill website, "Turner Enterprises' mission is to manage Turner lands in an economically sustainable and ecologically sensitive manner, while conserving native species."

Turner's biggest ranch is Vermejo Park Ranch in New Mexico. At 920 square miles (2,400 km2), it is the largest privately owned, contiguous tract of land in the United States.

Turner sponsors the Public forum debate of the National Forensic League.

Turner, on December 8, 2010, stated that he "...is almost to the edge of poverty.", being down to just a few million dollars left out of his previous fortune of billions, or so he told the hosts of MSNBC's a.m. news show Morning Joe

I guess that the argument this globalist, eugenicist, watermelon scum would use is that with all his money he can afford to "offset" the carbon footprint of his brood.

See guys, this is why allodial title is bad. If you're going to have a state and thus taxes, make it on land to stop this insane hoarding\speculation and allow for a redistribution of nature's bounty. The phrase commonwealth for the former British Empire wasn't chosen at random  ;)

Climate change and population control can make for a politically explosive mix, as media mogul Ted Turner demonstrated Sunday when he urged world leaders to institute a global one-child policy to save the Earth’s environment.

Mr. Turner spoke at a luncheon where economist Brian O’Neill from the U.S.’s National Center for Atmospheric Research unveiled his study on the impact of demographic trends on future greenhouse gas emission, a little-discussed subject given its political sensitivity. (Continued)
