So these idiots who have been castigating George Bush and Co., also have been pretty good going after Obama's crew are now equating the LaRouche antics (making everyone they disagree with appear as Hitler) to the majority who don't believe in government telling the truth.  In my view this is just to hobble the 18-34 crowd that watches these assclowns from doing anything meaningful, like this david icke video advocates :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQWFugNFCVw&feature=player_embedded

Here's their egomaniacal, pathetic rally attempt:  http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/thu-september-16-2010/rally-to-restore-sanity
http://www.rallytorestoresanity.com/

This gets me soooo pissed off because people should get angry, it's the only way to start the grief process.  It's the only way to change things.  These assclowns have been getting paid by making angry, snarky remarks against politicians and gladhanding them whenever they showed up on their show.

If the 18-34 crowd can't get angry and believe they're in the "majority" for not questioning then it's gonna be a sad, sad day for humanity.

and has Clinton as a guest to boot. That's about all I can add to what you said. These people like the left right paradigm it's the only world they know and can't think out of it.

First off, I am assuming you do not watch these shows regularly/do not know the viewpoints of these two men.  Secondly, I am also assuming you did not watch these episodes, for if you did, you wouldn't be so arrogant to make outlandish claims that they are "having a rally to stop people from caring promoted by bill clinton."  Bill clinton was the guest on the show and John Stewart at the end of the show was arguing with Clinton that "it's not that people don't get that the government is trying to create programs to fix things, but the real question is it competent?"  -- Yes this really sounds like a rally to be apathetic

They are SATIRICAL hosts who have a 2million wide audience of kids presumably 18-34, so unless you are really thinking its a battle to keep fear alive vs restore sanity, you would realize the amount of power this can have (especially right before midterm elections).  They are constantly for limited government, and have a VIABLE event that will not be criticized rather than you having a "STOP THE NEW WORLD ORDER MARCH!!" which would be played off as you were nuts.  You have to play the game in order to get your message out.

Things that this rally is trying to accomplish:
Bring attention to the 70% of America who wants reasonable solutions, a few are:

Stop government expansion

Glad Dok, charrington and I can agree on one thing.  I hope people see through this ruse and make both their shows ancient history.

I mean why not have a "some people give a damn" rally or "here's my facts, where's yours?".

Jon specifically said he's gonna have a "9/11 was an outside job" sign and have premade signs-well at least they're following Glenn Beck's controlled rally rules.

9/11 truth should have a bigger rally in D.C. on Guy Fawkes Day, that's a friday too.

How do you get to the mainstream public and have their opinions change.. (which is easier)
1) 9/11 Truth saying government is lying to you wake up you sheeple! (I'm sure will get great media coverage)
2) Non-extreme rally that preaches sanity/stop fearmongering which can lead to ending of practices such as war on drugs/terror/other government backbones such as the federal reserve which will then expose other truths...

There is a reason why Ron Paul doesn't say 9/11 was an inside job, because if he did, he would be called a nut and would not be able to gain the political steam that he does.  Think about it for two seconds before dismissing anyone who isn't preaching 100% what you are saying.  There are other means to achieve the ends that we are all seeking

Gladhanding Bill Clinton is totally evil.  Where's Jon's questions about Bill stealing Social Security, or he could even make a funny joke about Bilderberg-and they know all of it but it's jokes about his daughter-not her husbands ties to illegal money or anything.

I'm guessing you don't see what this is doing.  To me it's obvious it's making the Tea Party, probably the most important anti incumbent movement in American History because of its timeliness and scope, seem like kooks.  It's also making anyone who holds a rally for a redress of grievances a kook.

If you're happy getting reamed from yuppies for people giving a damn then you deserve slavery.  Jon Stewart actually makes fun of people getting mad as hell, does he think thousands in homeless shelters is funny?  Why won't he cover that?  People should get mad as hell and active.

Hey man, if you're all for killing the momentum of the Tea PArty and 9/11 truth then promote these assclowns all you want.  It's perfectly obvious they're using their honor to earn a buck and don't give a damn about anything.

The only reason Ron Paul doesn't say anything about Ron Paul is because he wants to get reelected.  I don't know about you but I'm not in political office and I'm willing to bet most people trying to get some answers aren't either.  Are you saying you don't want answers for 9/11?

Your post spends more time mocking me than the situation.  Apparently you don't understand satire, as if you did, you would realize that thats all these guys are.  When you are satirical, you don't have to say what you are implying, instead it is suppose to be figured out by the audience.

They are anti "taking over the tea party" as Glenn Beck did, in fact.. this whole thing is a giant mockery to Glenn Beck.  I guess i'll enjoy my slavery as well as realize that maybe these forums are a bit to extreme (some members at least) and to realize that everyone on these forums are not rational thinkers.

I'm way, way far more worried about anyone who cannot get the sarcastic humor and meaningful political satire of this.

Quote from: http://www.keepfearalive.com/
America, the Greatest Country God ever gave Man, was built on three bedrock principles: Freedom. Liberty. And Fear -- that someone might take our Freedom and Liberty. But now, there are dark, optimistic forces trying to take away our Fear -- forces with salt and pepper hair and way more Emmys than they need. They want to replace our Fear with reason. But never forget -- "Reason" is just one letter away from "Treason." Coincidence? Reasonable people would say it is, but America can't afford to take that chance.

ROTFLMAO

Good work - let's stop trying to make it sound like something it so obviously isn't!

Land of the free and "homeland" of the afraid?

I really think that most sane people will "get it".

No I am not saying I do not want answers for 9/11, I am saying that if I was in their position and I called for 9/11 Truth, I would be smeared, my contract would end, and nobody would respect my opinion in the main stream news (even though it is a pressing issue).  This is a method that enables them to create power (because you know there will be a lot of 9/11 truth people there even though they are not openly promoting it) without having to take the criticism of being an extreme rally.  It will get people who normally have no say in politics out there talking.  The impact of this event will be how its portrayed and who the guest speakers are, until then, please stop assuming you know they are plotting to take over the world with the NWO.  What are you doing that is so great, sitting on these forums arguing with me?

He's satirizing the 9/11 truth movement and the Tea Party.  So your logic is he's making them stronger by making them appear as kooks?

All he's doing is training people to tune out and not care.  Bring an "investigate 9/11" sign to the rally and see how many laughs you get.  It's really funny, come on man laugh it up, millions dead for a lie.  Or "kick all the bums out", that' a hilarious sign, CAPITAL F'ING A FUNNY

You're right, I'm done arguing I've made my points.  Support these assclowns tearing down all the progress we've made by giving the only people we're trying to wake up another thing to laugh at us about. It'll be great being knocked down by not being popular.  Charlie Chaplin also made Hitler really popular by satirizing him too.

I'm a little more perplexed at just what the difference between Freedom and Liberty is?

So I asked a friend:

I believe you're right. This sort of 'publicity' does more harm for the cause than good. I've tried bringing this sort of thing up before on these forums, but people just don't seem to get it. There's a mindset here that any publicity is good publicity.

AJ does the same thing. He discredits himself by acting 'fringe' and exaggerating at times. He gives the establishment just enough ammo to discredit him.

This sounds more like a advertisement then a honest reply. He was and is slighting anything other then what "he" thinks is "normal response". John is a funny guy and has done a lot for sanity already but lately a lot of hosts are talking "lets move past 9/11" or other concerns and just do what we've always done and People that talk about conspiracies are dangerous. His message has that same familiar ring to it.

Many people are simply tired of that - you also see him pushing to his viewers 9/11 was an outside job - which at this point is just absurd and not at all funny or something to make fun of. What will it take for people to understand what really happened on 9/11?

Reddit is far from the voice of sanity as a whole and though you may like to think it's different then Digg - it still is mass propaganda and more /r/ is being infiltrated by disinfo agents constantly. It's a shame I like reddit too.

Stewart, Colbert to hold rallies in Washington D.C.
« Reply #25 on: September 17, 2010, 02:07:25 pm »
http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20100917/en_yblog_upshot/stewart-colbert-to-hold-rallies-in-washington-d-c
Glenn Beck came to Washington, D.C., last month to "restore honor." Jon Stewart hopes to "restore sanity" when he gets to the capital next month.

Stewart says he's not looking for the seasoned rallygoer who may flock to hyperpolitical gatherings carrying a homemade Obama-is-Hitler — or Bush-is-Hitler — sign. Instead, Stewart described the event as a "million moderate march" and a "clarion call for rationality" — in other words, an antidote to the overheated protests on the left and right.

well actually people do call him a nut for any number of reasons - and he's said many times there should be an open and new investigation of 9/11, I think both sides know what he's really saying don't you?

I really don't think having a "party" is going to end up being serious about anything - sounds like a lot of fun but no one in the media will take it seriously and it's really not going to open anyone's eyes.

I do think you are right about being too extreme either way -- I think standing with a blow horn and yelling at people is a bit offensive and turns people off -- I think having a fan party is just as extreme in the opposite direction and is also just as unproductive. There has to be a balance --

I'm a little more perplexed at just what the difference between Freedom and Liberty is?

So I asked a friend:

"Liberty is getting out of the Military, Freedom is never signing up"
lol -- that about sums it up.

In my opinion he'll say whatever gets him laughs.  He's said before him and his staff lean libertarian but I don't think he really gives a damn about politics, after he destroyed "crossfire" it all became what he thinks is right.

I think he's probably angry that Glenn Beck is getting so much attention, who he thinks is a radically right reactionary, and he sees his audience as the "jersey shore" loving snooki heads that haven't read anything about history or in his words "my audience is a bunch of nine year olds".

its not as much done to confuse in this case as to marginalize

That's my guess.  He's taking his viewers out of the equation.

To marginalize who? well meaning hopeful people who are tired of the complete absurdity of American political "discourse" on everyside , from those who think in black/white fake paradigms?

Sign me up for team Jon Stewart , if I have to play false flag fake paradigm faux ball ..

No, he's basically telling his viewers that anyone who gives a damn is an idiot to be made fun of.

I watch both of those shows every night , they very ingeniously satirize and point out the hypocrisy on both side of the fake spectrum , how have you managed to turn that  into yet another bit of fodder for the mockery of brilliant satire? You seem to be missing the point of irony?

One person's brilliant satire is another person's demographically targeted propaganda meant to keep those that would be frustrated entertained just a bit longer.
