Political correctness: the scourge of our times

Political correctness: the scourge of our times

What are the origins of Political Correctness?
Who originally developed it and what was its purpose?

It was developed at the Institute for Social Research in Frankfurt, Germany, which was founded in 1923 and came to be known as the “Frankfurt School.” It was a group of thinkers who pulled together to find a solution to the biggest problem facing the implementers of communism in Russia.

The problem?

Why wasn’t communism spreading?

Their answer?

Because Western Civilization was in its way.

What was the problem with Western Civilization?

Its belief in the individual, that an individual could develop valid ideas. At the root of communism was the theory that all valid ideas come from the effect of the social group of the masses. The individual is nothing. And they believed that the only way for communism to advance was to help (or force, if necessary) Western Civilization to destroy itself. How to do that? Undermine its foundations by chipping away at the rights of those annoying individuals.

One way to do that?

Change their speech and thought patterns by spreading the idea that vocalizing your beliefs is disrespectful to others and must be avoided to make up for past inequities and injustices. And call it something that sounds positive: “Political Correctness.” Inspired by the brand new communist technique, Mao, in the 1930s, wrote an article on the “correct” handling of contradictions among the people. “Sensitive training” — sound familiar?—– and speech codes were born.

In 1935, after Hitler came to power, the Frankfurt School moved to New York City, where they continued their work by translating Marxism from economic to cultural terms using Sigmund Freud’s psychological conditioning mechanisms to get Americans to buy into Political Correctness. In 1941, they moved to California to spread their wings. But Political Correctness remains just what it was intended to be: a sophisticated and dangerous form of censorship and oppression, imposed upon the citizenry with the ultimate goal of manipulating, brainwashing and destroying our society.

The scourge of Political Correctness has taken hold in the U.S. It is very well entrenched in our educational system, at scientific, religious and community levels, the media, the workplace and even our government. It is changing the American society from within, and the citizens of this nation are increasingly censoring themselves and losing their freedom of speech out of fear of Political Correctness repression.

It is the nature of Western Civilization to be civilized — respectful of others and concerned with correcting injustices. We don't need Political Correctness to make us think we are not civilized on our own and must have our thoughts and words restricted.

Logically and respectfully, how can one person’s benign icon (i.e. Christmas) be objectionable to the point of banishment? Offer to add other people’s icons. Make it a broader celebration. That's the Perfectly Correct American way.

We see shameful situations created in our schools and universities in America that have fallen prey to Political Correctness. Some professors, students and publications are being attacked for expressing a point of view that differs from that imposed by a fanatical far left, under the guise of Political Correctness.

In schools and workplaces we see that diversity has degenerated into reverse discrimination, where often the less qualified are admitted and the incompetent cannot be fired.

Our Constitution requires the separation of church and state, which has always discouraged our public education system from teaching religion

According to Ellen Sorokin's No Founding Fathers? published by the Washington Times on its front page on January 28, 2002  points out that the standards specifically note that students should identify slavery, the Holocaust and modern Iraq as examples in which people have behaved in cruel and inhumane ways. Conveniently, communism is absent from that short list.

Recently, a historic photograph of the New York firefighters raising the American flag over the ruins of the World Trade Center was going to be made into a sculpture as a memorial. But history's revisionists used Political Correctness to dictate that other minority faces replace some of the faces in the historical photograph! Fortunately, in the end that didn't fly, due to the outcry of firefighters and the public.

For people with the background and firsthand experience of living inside a totalitarian communist society, the tilt and goal of the dictators of Political Correctness in America are obvious. The beneficiaries in the end will be the fanatic believers in the totalitarian state, who, in spite of the dismal failure of communism and the 100 million people exterminated pursuing that criminal system, have not given up.

Political and religious fanatics, as demonstrated by the September 11, 2001 attacks and the subsequent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are extremely dangerous in today's world. All citizens who cherish liberty must reject the scourge of Political Correctness. Freedom of speech must be preserved in America if we are to continue to be free.

It's one thing is to be educated, considerate, polite and have good manners, and another to be forced to self-censor and say things that are totally incorrect in order to comply with the arbitrary dictums of a deceiving and fanatical far-left agenda.

Let's preserve our freedom and say NO to the scourge of Political Correctness.

Political Correctness & Those Behind It

Today we hear a lot of talk about Political Correctness or "PC"? But what is it? Political Correctness is "truth" as decided by liberal elitists. Actually it may not be "truth" at all. To those who subscribe to Political Correctness there is no such thing as "Concrete Truth." The radical left who are big supporters of Political Correctness believe truth is what appears to be right for the moment. These people actually believe "Truth" must be changed to fit the occasion. By that, I mean, it must agree with their political radical view.
Pro. 14:12 says, "There is a way which seemth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." This is why it is so important to be rooted and grounded in God's Word. The "Word of God" is the standard, which prevents this kind of lunacy. These Politically Correct liberal elitists have tremendous influences on our governments, courts and institutions. If the Bible is one way, chances are, they'll be the other way. I believe this is why we see so much foolishness, lack of common sense and hatred for Christian values. You may be thinking, where does this foolishness come from? Much of it is coming out of our major universities and from the main stream media. Both, have tremendous influence in shaping the thinking of others.
The following are some examples of Political Correctness: Example 1: The religion of Islam is a violent religion and there is much in the Koran that teaches hate and violence. But even after Sept. 11, we are not suppose to say that because Political Correctness wants all religion equal or superior to Christianity regardless, of how fraudulently, treacherous and untruthful it is. Example 2: We have just come through the Christmas Season and that's when a lot of Political Correctness shows up. A few years ago, you may have read that some school districts in Georgia instructed their teachers not to refer to "Christmas break" as "Christmas break" anymore. It sounded too Christian and therefore not Politically Correct. It was to be called "winter break." Example 3: Recently, The city council of Little Rock, Arkansas, voted to change the name of their Christmas parade--to the Politically Correct title "Holiday parade." Example 4: Here in Kentucky a few years ago, school bus drivers in Fayette County, were warned not to say Merry Christmas to any of the children. Presumably, they would say, "Happy holidays," "Merry solstice," "Hail to winter" or something of the sort, That would be Politically Correct.
The Political Correctness crowd is in the process of rewriting history. History does not agree with their agenda so it must be changed. Tim Wildmon, Vice President of American Family Association shared a good example. He was reading his daughter's fourth grade history book a few years ago and said, "we came to the section about the Mayflower Compact. The book spent three pages discussing this document without having the actual document itself included... I thought that curious, why not print the Mayflower Compact itself instead of spending so much time talking about what the Mayflower Compact said? ... It's actually very brief, maybe 200 words long... But, after reading, it was clear why it was excluded from my child's public school textbook. The word "God" is used four times in a positive context. Add that to the explicit phrase found in the middle of the Compact which states '...for the glory of God, and the advancement of the Christian faith...' as the primary reason for the pilgrims coming to this land, then I knew why it had been omitted." The Mayflower Compact was about true history but it was not Politically Correct, so it needed to be omitted.
Many of those who support Political Correctness have a deep hate for America and especially for America's Christian Heritage. Here are some examples: A University professor said, "President Bush wants to kill innocent people, colonize the Arab world, and capture oil for the Bush family." Or the University of Texas professor, Robert Jensen, who said the September 11 terrorist attack on America, "was no more despicable than the massive acts of terrorism... that the U.S. government has committed during my lifetime." Or the out pouring of sympathy from the left for John Walker, the 20-year-old California man who fought on the side of the Taliban. And how about Richard Berthold, University of New Mexico history professor, who told his class, "Anyone who can blow up the Pentagon has my vote." Then there were the schools and libraries that refused to fly the American flag because it might have offended someone who doesn't believe in God, country and patriotism, therefore not Politically Correct.
The Liberal Left and Political Correctness are mostly synonymous with each other. These are usually the people who support the killing of 40 million babies through abortion including the hideous partial-birth abortion. These are the people who support the radical homosexuals in their demand for "same-sex" marriages and adoption of children--even teaching homosexuality in public schools as normal and healthy. These are the people who want more "hate crimes laws" which are nothing more than clever disguises for anti-religious and anti-Christian bigotry. These are the people who support the ACLU who want to strip all public places of religious speech, the display of Nativity scenes, posting of the Ten Commandments, prayer in school and even the display of "God Bless America" signs. These are the people who support the filth on television, demanding that television producers have a Constitutional right to teach our children immorality, violence, and disregard for family values and the Judeo-Christian Heritage. Those who advocate Political Correctness are replacing truth, character, common sense, decency and godliness with situation ethic, you're Ok I'm Ok, lunacy, obscenity, and ungodliness.
The Bible speaks about a philosophy which "exchanges the truth of God for a lie." Perhaps, that would be a good definition for Political Correctness.

Political Correctness Is Stupid!

What Is Political Correctness?
Political Correctness ( or PC) is the communal tyranny that erupted in the 1980s. It was a spontaneous declaration that particular ideas, expressions and behaviour, which were then legal, should be forbidden by law and people who transgressed should be punished. It started with a few voices, but grew in popularity until it became an unwritten and written law within the community with those who were publicly declared as being not politically correct becoming the object of persecution by the mob, if not prosecution by the state.

Let's Be Politically Correct, shall we? Here we go.....
While we are succesfully eliminating the Pledge of Allegiance in our schools, we should take this opportunity to reform all aspects of our American schools.

Let's begin in the cafeteria. It is so unfair that the Jewish children who follow the Kosher rules cannot partake of such foods as cheeseburgers and sausage pizza. Let's eliminate them. In fact, let's eliminate all meats, eggs and milk products out of respect for the vegetarians. Children with gluten intolerances and food allergies would be restricted from certain foods, as well; so let's just eliminate all cafeteria foods. Well, it's just not fair that some children could have better lunches from home than others; so let's eliminate the lunch period altogether. After all, inequality is inequality. Music definitely must go, as it is unfair to the hearing impaired. Books are out of the question. Blind children can only read Braille, and some children have physical disabilities that would prevent them from using their fingers to read the Braille. Besides, books are made from trees. If we used computers, there might be a stir over which company's products were chosen.

Of course, all sports programs should be discontinued as well. Competiton is devastating to a child's self-esteem. We cannot agree on what truly transpired in the past, so let's just cut out history. Social studies are too controversial. Art? Not a good idea for the color blind. Math is too difficult for dyslexics.

We could have science if we could do it without textbooks, pencils (trees), paper, pens (made from plastic, a petroleum biproduct; we must protect the environment from that exploitation) or speaking. I guess the children could all gather for a long nap time, but what about the bed wetters and children with sleep disorders? What's left? Recess?

At the root of communism was the theory that all valid ideas come from the effect of the social group of the masses. The individual is nothing.
That makes no sense to me. An idea always comes from an individual, not from a "social group" (whatever that means)...

I also find it funny how "political correctness" is a self-describing word: it sounds so benign, yet it really means censorship and oppression.
"If this is the only way, we have no choice but to proceed. What is there to vacillate about?"
