I can't argue with that. Any scientist "kept" by the UN will obviously agree with anything they want.

If they can totally disregard incontrovertible evidence that 911 was an inside job, they can do a complete end run around these revelations, too.

In Los Angeles the "Hide the Decline Players" will assemble to educate the population via the tradition of Holiday song. In public places we will regale the public with a live performance of Minnesotas for Global Warming hit song and video, "Hide the Decline" as well as their tasty seasonal treat, "The Twelve Days of Global Warming". We'll videotape it all so you can see it on YouTube and maybe even do it yourself! We're looking for Santa Hats and Polar Bear costumes and a choreographer and cast. We have a battery powered PA system and a videographer and editor. We would like to pull this together asap so that it coincides as much as possible with the winter gathering of those who lie to us in order to get what they want--world taxation, world financial derivates pyramid scheme, world government and the beginning of totally global control.

"portuguese anarchist", it is true that many journalists come from a position of true belief, even some of those who excuse the inexcusable, like the crimes of communism. In the case of this Monbiot darling, I don't think so. He has a science background so he would understand that the science behind the climathoax is wrong, also, he very often avoids debating scientific arguments, preferring to descend into emotional name-calling, as in the blog I mentioned. He knows he's wrong.
Monbiot is also a communist, he was involved with the Respect coalition and others, and I believe that is his real faith. He sees, possibly, in the climathoax, a way of transforming the world into a kind of Stalinistic Utopia, not through revolution, but in a Fabian or Masonic way, through deceit and small increments.

Well, I don't believe he is a true communist. If he knows it's a hoax he surely knows why. And if he knows why, he also surely knows that the people behind it will never build any kind of Stalinist Utopia.

True communists, like the Portuguese Communist Party, that is of Stalinist tradition, are discretely exposing this hoax, 9/11, etc.

The thing is that communist parties in the West were never intended to fully implement the reforms they claim they want. The true communists you have nowadays are people who were effectively brainwashed by, and truly believe in, Marxist propaganda and that, like Stalin himself, have got out of control of the NWO.

Communism, according to Marx, is a NWO creation. And the communist parties in the West have been created just to shift things into a more "leftist" position. That's why the "Communist Manifesto" was written by a banker, why the Communist Party of the U.S. has been founded by a capitalist, and probably why you have this Monbiot character going along with this capitalist scheme.

The fact that this Monbiot carbon-tax advocate has been involved in left-wing coalitions, if they are comprised of true communists, is probably just to try to lead them back into a more pseudo-communist, NWO-oriented, leftist position.

(This is probably the wrong thread to be talking about it... If you want to understand better what I'm saying, start reading about the NWO origins of Communism. My "Bilderberg-Illuminati" thread, I think, is a good place to start.)

Well they want change and they don't care how many people die because of it so they might be a lot closer to a "Stalinist Utopia" than you think.

I'm not defending (as in "supporting", "apologizing for" or "in favor of") the PCP. I think they're one of the worst things there are. I'm an anarchist. Not a left-wing fascist. And I know all about the PCP in the 70's.

I think I have made clear the difference between what I call "true communists" and communist parties as a NWO creation intended to work merely as a pressure group. You might want to read what I wrote again.

I know how crazy this all sounds. I see that you're a newbie here. Continue to listen to Alex Jones, start reading similar authors, read what other people in here have to say about it and you'll see that I'm right.

Understanding Climategate's Hidden Decline http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/12/understanding_climategates_hid.html

Go to the link to see the graphs

Close followers of the Climategate controversy know that much of the mêlée surrounds an e-mail in which Climate Research Unit (CRU) chief Phil Jones wrote about using “Mike’s Nature Trick” (MNT) to “hide the decline.” And yet, seventeen days and thousands of almost exclusively on-line op-eds into this scandal, it still seems that very few understand exactly which “decline” was being hidden, what “trick” was used to do so, and why Jones’s words have become the slogan for the greatest scientific fraud in history.

As the mainstream media move from abject denial to dismissive whitewashing, CRU co-conspirators move to Copenhagen for tomorrow’s U.N. climate meeting, intent on changing the world as we know it based primarily on their now-exposed trickery. Add yesterday’s announcement of a U.N. investigation into the matter, which will doubtless be no less corrupt than those being investigated, and public awareness of how and why that trick was performed is now more vital than ever.

So please allow me to explain in what I hope are easily digestible terms.

First and foremost -- contrary to what you’ve likely read elsewhere in the blogosphere or heard from the few policymakers and pundits actually addressing the issue, it was not the temperature decline the planet has been experiencing since 1998 that Jones and friends conspired to hide. Certainly, the simple fact that the e-mail was sent in November of 1999 should allay any such confusion.

In fact, the decline Jones so urgently sought to hide was not one of measured temperatures at all, but rather figures infinitely more important to climate alarmists -- those determined by proxy reconstructions. As this scandal has attracted new readers to the subject, I ask climate-savvy readers to indulge me while I briefly explain climate proxies, as they are an essential ingredient of this contemptible conspiracy.

Truth be told, even reasonably reliable instrumental readings are a relatively modern convenience, limiting CRU’s global measured temperature database to a start date somewhere in the mid-19th century. That’s why global temperature charts based on actual readings typically use a base year of 1850, or somewhere thereabout.

And yet, most historical temperature charts, including the one Al Gore preached before in An Inconvenient Truth, go way back to 1000 AD. That’s where proxies come in.

While historical documents (e.g., ship’s logs, diaries, court and church records, tax rolls, and even classic literature) certainly provide a glimpse into past temperature trends, such information is far too limited and generalized to be of any statistical value. So climate scientists have devised means to measure variations in such ubiquitous materials as lake sediments, boreholes, ice cores, and tree rings to evaluate past temperature trends.

They then employ complex computer programs to combine such “proxy” data sampled throughout a region and plot that area’s annual relative changes in temperature hundreds or even thousands of years prior. By then combining the data sets, they believe they can accurately reproduce hemispheric and global temperature trends of the previous millennia.

And while reconstructions -- as past temperature interpretations from proxy data are called -- can differ greatly from one source to another, those generated by the CRU have often been accepted as the de facto temperatures of the past.

This is largely because the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) proclaims them to be.

Warmist Public Enemy Number One: The Medieval Warming Period
It’s important to understand that early analyses, and even many contemporary studies, of these “proxies” clearly demonstrate that three radical temperature shifts occurred within the past millennium. Indeed, the years 900-1300 AD were labeled the Medieval Warming Period (MWP), as global temperatures rose precipitously from the bitter cold of the previous Dark Ages to levels several degrees warmer than today. The Little Ice Age, a sudden period of cooling, then followed and lasted until the year 1850. And then began the modern warming period, which is by no means unique and appears to have ended with the millennium itself.

Originally, even the IPCC accepted that pre-20th-century analysis. In fact, the 1990 First Assessment Report used this schematic IPCC 1990 Figure 7c (courtesy of Climate Audit) to represent last millennium’s dramatic temperature swings.

But this image of a fluid climate system subject to abrupt and natural up-and-downturns made "unprecedented" 20th-century warming about as marketable as Florida swampland. And opportunists who depended on the aberrance of post-industrial revolution warming in order to condemn and control mankind’s CO2 emissions soon recognized that perhaps the LIA, and most certainly the MWP, simply had to go.

And as many of these hucksters were closely connected to the IPCC -- both sender and recipient names on those illuminating CRU emails include many of its editors, lead authors, and contributors -- that task was far less daunting than one might imagine.

Proxies, Tricks, and Hockey Sticks
The first step was taken in the 1995 Second Assessment Report, when the above Figure 7c was replaced with a 1993 reconstruction from R.S. Bradley and Phil Jones himself that used 1400 AD as its base -- effectively wiping the MWP off the radar screen.

But it wasn’t until the 2001 Third Assessment Report (TAR) that the MWP simply vanished. This multi-proxy reconstruction of Northern Hemisphere temperature anomalies appeared in chapter 2, page 134 of the Working Group 1 (WG1) report [PDF].

Of course, the first thing you’ll notice is that both the MWP and LIA have indeed disappeared. In fact, temperatures appear to trend downward throughout the millennium until a sharp jump upward last century. But if you look closer, you’ll also notice that the “reconstructed” series terminates in 1980. What forms the dramatic blade to the hockey stick shape (yes, this is indeed the famous “Hockey-Stick” graph) is instead the distal segment of the 1902-to-1999 instrumental data series.

Mann has recently claimed that the available proxy data ended in 1980, but even his co-conspirators at RealClimate admit that’s nonsense. The truth is that the proxy data was scrapped because unlike those measured, reconstructed temperatures showed a marked decline after 1980. And as the chart plotted temperature anomalies against what the plotters selected as the “normal” period and temperatures of 1961 to 1990, the reconstruction would have been quite unremarkable otherwise. So at the 1980 mark, the actual post-1980 measurements were attached to the truncated proxy series to create the illusion that they were one.

The figure below, found on the same page of the WG1 report, reveals this trick more clearly. This chart plots the original four reconstructions used: two from Mann et al, one from Jones et al, and one from Briffa et al. Notice how all but the first series continue to trend downward around 1960 while instrumental readings begin to trend upward? And even that series ends abruptly in 1980.

So not only did conspirators cherry-pick the one series of the four that approximated measured temperatures the longest, they also terminated that series at the point that it too, began to trend down. They then joined it to the actual 1980-1999 temperatures to “hide the decline” in the final product, as that decline created an inexplicable divergence between the reconstructed and measured temperatures..the existence of which challenges the entire series dating back to 1000 AD.

Remember, all the temperatures prior to 1850 were estimated by computer algorithms, and no actual readings exist to prove or disprove those figures. So a relatively short window of opportunity exists to test the programs against observations. Had 20th-century measured temperatures continued to align with those recreated as smoothly after 1960 as they did previously, then the programmers could declare their code and hence their millennial temperatures sound. But the divergence, if allowed to stand, instead reveals serious design flaws in the proxy reconstructions...which suggests that just as the decline was dealt with through trickery, so was the MWP.

And it seems that each time the trick was used, its involvement would be more deeply concealed.

Every multi-volume IPCC Assessment has been accompanied by a relatively brief and highly-politicized Summary for Policymakers (SPM). This synopsis invariably commands the bulk of the media and political attention. Here’s the version of the graph depicted prominently on page 3 of the 2001 TAR SPM [PDF], the only version of the report most policymakers and reporters would ever actually see. Notice how they further obscured their chicanery by omitting the series-defining legend and the “1988 instrumental value” declaration:

And despite the fact that the only confirmable segment of the series failed that very test, which should have declared the entire series null and void, the chart’s caption informed policymakers that the rate and duration of warming of the 20th century has been much greater than in any of the previous nine centuries.  Similarly, it is likely that the 1990s have been the warmest decade and 1998 the warmest year of the millennium.

And it’s this highly fraudulent version that has become the poster child of the equally fraudulent Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) movement.

All this is thanks in large part to the trick that hides the decline.

Trick or Cheat
Now we'll take a closer look at exactly what Jones meant when he wrote that he had “just completed Mike’s Nature Trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (i.e., from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.”

Why did Jones refer to the ruse as “Mike’s Nature Trick”?

As die-hard Hockey Team opponents and fans alike already know, the original 600-year version of the now infamous “Hockey-Stick” graph was dubbed MBH98 because it first appeared in the Michael Mann, Raymond Bradley, and Malcolm Hughes paper “Global-Scale Temperature Patterns and Climate Forcing Over the Past Six Centuries” [PDF], originally published in the science journal Nature in 1998. And “Mike’s Nature Trick” received its dubious designation among CRU insiders for the very same reason.

As to the rest of the sentence, it seems Jones was working on a cover chart for a forthcoming World Meteorological Organization report [PDF], “WMO Statement on the Status of the Global Climate in 1990,” when he wrote the e-mail. As the graph would incorporate one reconstruction of his own plus one each from Michael Mann and Keith Briffa, Jones was informing them that he had used the trick on Mann’s series at the same 1980 cutoff as MBH98, but found it necessary to use 1960 as the cutoff on the Briffa series.

And what I uncovered in the source code told why. While Mann used multiple proxy sources, Briffa’s reconstructions were based solely on a property of annual tree ring growth known as maximum latewood density (MXD). And the MXD-only-driven plots began to diverge from actual temperatures as early as 1960. In fact, while many of CRU’s programs are designed to exclude all data after 1960 for later manual splicing with instrumental data, others employ “fudge factors” to force the generated plot to more closely adhere to measured temperatures as far back as 1930.

And as you’ll soon see, Jones’s admitted use of MNT took it to an entirely new level of fraud.

Here’s the original reconstruction, with the three proxy and measured temperature (black) series intact:

Notice how Briffa’s series (green) begins to trend sharply downward around the mid-20th century. Jones’s series (red) soon follows, but less sharply, and then it begins to trend higher. Mann’s (blue) appears to flatten out around the same year that Jones’s begins to fall. Meanwhile, all three have broken with the measured rising temperatures of the late 20th century.

Now take a look at the chart actually published by the WMO, with all three proxy series having been surreptitiously subjected to MNT:

Since the release of CRU’s FOI2009, alarmists have continued their claim that there’s nothing deceptive about the “trick” and that it has been openly discussed in scientific journals like Nature since 1998.

But I defy anyone to compare the above chart -- the one to which Jones wrote he had applied MNT -- to the unadulterated version above it and tell me there’s been no deception committed. At least with MBH98, a sharp eye might recognize the ruse. Here, there is no indication given whatsoever that the graph represents an amalgam of proxy and measured temperatures. This, my friends, is fraud.

And I hope that those investigating the fraud will carefully consider this explanation of the WMO cheating given last week by Jones:

One of the three temperature reconstructions was based entirely on a particular set of tree-ring data that shows a strong correlation with temperature from the 19th century through to the mid-20th century, but does not show a realistic trend of temperature after 1960. This is well known and is called the ‘decline’ or ‘divergence’. The use of the term ‘hiding the decline’ was in an email written in haste. CRU has not sought to hide the decline. Indeed, CRU has published a number of articles that both illustrate, and discuss the implications of, this recent tree-ring decline, including the article that is listed in the legend of the WMO Statement figure. It is because of this trend in these tree-ring data that we know does not represent temperature change that I only show this series up to 1960 in the WMO Statement. [My emphasis.]

And they’ll immediately recognize the dishonest denial they’re dealing with when they read the WMO Statement figure from the inside cover Jones referred to:

Northern Hemisphere temperatures were reconstructed for the past 1000 years (up to 1999) using palaeoclimatic records (tree rings, corals, ice cores, lake sediments, etc.), along with historical and long instrumental records.  The data are shown as 50-year smoothed differences from teh 1961-1990 normal.  Uncertainties are greater in the early part of the millennium (see page 4 for further information). For more details, readers are referred to the PAGES newsletter (Vol. 7, No. 1: March 1999, also available at http://www.pages.unibe.ch) and the National Geophysical Data Center (http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov).

Even if MNT had been explained as Jones claimed -- which it hadn’t -- just how was the observer expected to differentiate the reconstructed from the actual data?  And good luck finding that newsletter.

Spin it any way you want -- Mike’s Nature Trick is Phil’s WMO cheat.

More Tricks of the Charade

While suddenly the most famous, Mike’s is not the only trick in CRU’s bag.

Many of the programs I reviewed contained routines to exclude proxy data that demonstrated poor correlations with local temperature, which of course explains why CRU’s 19th- through mid-20th-century proxy temperatures appeared to be observationally accurate. Others “estimated” values for missing data.

And then there’s the Yamal matter -- also a popular subject of the CRU e-mails.

In an October 5th e-mail to climatologist Tom Wigley, Jones took issue with a piece I had written that day exposing the lies in CRU-based U.N. climate reports, which included a section on Keith Briffa’s mistreatment of Polar Ural data in order to exaggerate 20th-century warming. That e-mail prompted the reply from Wigley -- now familiar to AT readers -- in which he admitted it was “distressing to read that American Stinker item” -- before offering to help Briffa, who “does seem to have got himself into a mess,” write an “explanation” for his deceitful cherry-picking of Yamal peninsula data.

Indeed, Keith’s Yamal Trick also “fudged” proxy reconstructions, not by overwriting them with instrumental data   la Mike, but rather by underhandedly stacking the actual data set with trees handpicked to assure his predetermined outcome. Yet both methods intentionally corrupted reconstruction results for the same devious purpose -- to skew late-20th-century temperatures higher in order to artificially create the dreaded hockey-stick effect.

Now, you might be wondering why all this fuss is being made over late-20th-century temperatures when even we realists accept that they did rise until 1998. Hopefully, you now understand why the divergence between proxy and measured temperatures betrays a potential serious flaw in the process by which temperatures are reconstructed from tree-ring density. And any reconstruction demonstrating such a flaw-revealing divergence should be dismissed outright, not presented as policy fodder.

But there’s another issue at stake here.

Anthony Watts has surveyed over 75% of the 1,200-plus U.S. weather stations from which national temperatures are accumulated. Most of those were found to be inaccurate by more than 2°C, largely due to being located within ten meters of an artificial heating source. In fact, less than 10% met strict placement guidelines set forth by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Not to worry -- NOAA claims it has methods to “adjust” for such bias, including the use of “smoothing” adjustments to “homogenize” station data to that of surrounding stations.

Unpublished computer programs artificially adjusting the data -- what could possibly go wrong with that?

Would you be shocked to learn that at ICCC 3, Watts told us he had calculated such adjustments to raw temperature data between 1940 and 1999 to be 0.5°F to the positive?  That accounts for almost one half of the 1.2°F warming over the last century.

And that’s here in America. Try to imagine what kind of shenanigans might be going on elsewhere in the world.

Consequently, even the “instrumental” temperatures the CRU crooks were using as a basis for fudging were likely themselves fudged.  So they were pumping the incline while hiding the decline.

Hold the Fudge, and the MWP Won’t Budge
In a June 2003 e-mail to Jones and company, Mann discussed the notion of expanding CRU charts to two millennia in an effort to “try to "contain" the putative "MWP."” No deception in that, I suppose. Of course, an honest 2000-year reconstruction, such as this one from CO2Science.org, adapted from a 2005 Moberg, et al  temperature history derived from tree-rings and lake and ocean sediments, would actually emphasize rather than “contain” the MWP:

Any questions why Mann and friends work so diligently to “contain” (hide) the MWP?

As you can see, the post-LIA warming that began around 1850 is neither unprecedented nor spectacular. And it's certainly not worth rewiring the economic circuitry of the planet over.

And the CRU/IPCC reconstructions have been counterfeited for the express purpose of hiding that very fact.

After all, the stakes are enormous: perhaps trillions of dollars and unquestionably every American’s personal liberties. Tomorrow, over 20,000 delegates from 193 nations will gather in Copenhagen to craft an agreement which would not only force American power consumption to levels equal to those of about 1910, but would also have us pay reparations for an imaginary “climate debt” we’ve accumulated by building the world’s greatest economy of all time. That debt is based on the amount of CO2 our financial growth has purportedly pumped into the atmosphere, which, according to the conclusions of the IPCC and based largely upon reports from the CRU, has selfishly imperiled the planet by inducing climate change.

Of course, asking Americans to pay reparations based on the claim they’ve done harm to other nations by spoiling the climate is like asking me to pay damages to my neighbor based on his claim that he can’t sell his house because my great-grandmother’s ghost is haunting it.

As many have known and as Climategate has proven, both situations are equally preposterous.

But at least belief in ghosts is only marginally inspired by fraud.

A very enlightening piece ... clears things up for me, especially just how CRITICAL the tree ring data is to this entire scandal.

I posted this article earlier in another post ... it is a 'short history' of the how and by whom the tree data was generated ... and it's basic flaws:

Starving polar bears turn to cannibalism
New pictures show that polar bears are beginning to cannibalise each other as global warming destroys its hunting grounds.

this is so bad..I mean telegraph.uk...do they really think that everybody is so stupid or what?  Polar bears were cannibals from the start and always eat the cubs anyway, especially during mating season, they kill the cubs so the female gets in heat again... another newspaper down the drain. they are no better now than world weekly news.

Starving polar bears turn to cannibalism
New pictures show that polar bears are beginning to cannibalise each other as global warming destroys its hunting grounds.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/wildlife/6760103/Starving-polar-bears-turn-to-cannibalism.html

this is so bad..I mean telegraph.uk...do they really think that everybody is so stupid or what?  Polar bears were cannibals from the start and always eat the cubs anyway, especially during mating season, they kill the cubs so the female gets in heat again... another newspaper down the drain. they are no better now than world weekly news.

Good Lord! That headline is hilarious. The MSM is in deep denial. What a joke.

THE ROVING EYE

Hopenhagen's dirty secret

By Pepe Escobar

BEIJING - A November 21 caption on the cover of China Daily read, "Three women seem to dwarf the Bird's Nest [National Stadium] as they enjoy the winter sunshine and the blue sky on Friday. Beijing experienced its 260th blue-sky day in 2009 on Friday, reaching its target 41 days before the end of the year."

One might argue that the Chinese secret for climate control and reaching "targets" is that God is a card-carrying member of the Communist Party - and he has the "targets" of five-year plans to meet, just like anybody else (except "splittists"). God, of course, would not dream of becoming a splittist.

Only last month, no less than 1.34 million cars were sold across China. Now that's a greenhouse gas bonanza. Compare it to Beijing's new target of reducing per-unit gross domestic product carbon intensity by 40-45% from 2005 levels by 2020. What will they do with all these cars - exile them in North Korea?

Chinese businessmen, though, remain on target. Many have landed in Copenhagen for the United Nations climate change conference, and apart from sealing a smorgasbord of great new deals they have already made public their "dedication to exploring models of low-carbon economic growth".

Stretch limo from Kyoto
Congested by 1,200 stretch limos (and only five electric cars) and 140 private jets serving the real VIPs among the 15,000 delegates, 5,000 journalists and 98 world leaders gorging on rows of sustainable foie gras (plus free sex - courtesy of Copenhagen's 1,400-strong sex worker's union; talk about carbon dating ...), Copenhagen has been dubbed Hopenhagen. But reasons to be cheerful are slim.

Speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 countries and China, the Sudanese ambassador, Ibrahim Mirghani Ibrahim, has made it clear the North's maneuvers to circumvent the Kyoto protocol and at the same time to corner the South won't fly. Under Kyoto, adopted in 1997, the industrialized North had committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 5% against 1990 levels over 2008-2012. Everybody broke their quotas.

Then, early this week, the "secret" text of a draft proposal for the final political agreement that should be signed by everyone - including US President Barack Obama - at the end of the summit on December 18 was leaked. And Lumumba Di-Aping, the Sudanese chairman of the Group of 77 plus China, went on overdrive, "The text robs developing countries of their just and equitable and fair share of the atmospheric space. It tries to treat rich and poor countries as equal." China and India are obviously, resolutely against the "secret" text.

So this is what the wealthy North is basically concocting, according to the South - to "destroy both the UN convention on climate change and the Kyoto protocol", in the words of Di-Aping. Kyoto is the only global agreement so far that legally obliges the North to reduce gas emissions. Now the North wants a shady "green fund" to be run by a secretive board, which in the end would translate into the World Bank and a consortium of non-UN agencies. In sum: the North got away with polluting of the planet for decades, but the South has to be regulated.

China's cut alone accounts for no less than 25% of emission reductions necessary to avoid more than two degrees Celsius (four degrees Fahrenheit) of temperature increase on the planet. China beats even the environmentally correct European Union (EU), which has committed to reducing emissions by 20% by 2020. The world's major polluter, the US, doesn't want to commit to anything. Washington - which snubbed Kyoto - wants a "political agreement", not a "legal treaty" - and it has vaguely proposed to cutting emissions by a mere 17% by 2020, and this against 2005 levels. The North has already decided anyway there will be no comprehensive deal in Copenhagen, just a vague declaration of purpose.

Holy cow
Whatever comes out of the Hopenhagen feast won't really address how turbo-capitalism - a system that is a slave of oil - works. Most of real life as we know it essentially revolves around the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost - that is, China, the US and selected Middle East players.

It goes something like this. Middle East oil producers sell the oil that fuels an army of Chinese factories - especially the "factory of the world" in Guangdong province. These factories use the oil to produce virtually everything the world consumes - a great deal of which ends up in the US. American consumers buy all these products in department stores with maxed-out credit cards. Then Middle East oil magnates invest their surplus in the US itself. That's how selected Arab players - mostly sovereign wealth funds - became key US creditors.

As much as the US is hurt by the biggest unemployment crisis since the Great Depression, China will still need all this oil to move its economy, Arabs will still need to sell it, and Americans will still need to consume made in China products at Wal-Marts they drove to in their SUVs.

The Chinese are the least likely to rock this comfy boat. They will silently cut their emissions and keep growing at 9% a year anyway - following the famous Chinese proverb "speak little, do more" (shao shuo duo zuo).

So who will win in the end? Who else but Wall Street, if a mandatory carbon-trading system designed to "save the planet" ever sees the light of day. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley would make an absolute killing on a carbon trading market revolving around derivatives.

Be ready for a deluge of derivatives contracts and carbon-related financial products. Wall Street will attract key investors from hedge funds and pension funds - as it has already spent a fortune hiring lobbyists and making deals with companies that can supply "carbon offsets" to be sold to clients. Speculators will have a ball. Wall Street banks are bound to turn climate change into a new commodities market - and sell it as an investment product. Everyone has seen this movie before, but what the hell; welcome to the new trillion-dollar bubble - the still virtual carbon "cap and trade" market.

Big Oil - from Exxon Mobil to Shell and BP - along with a Fortune 500 cast of global corporations, many directly linked with Big Oil, will also make a killing. They want a direct global carbon tax - as ExxonMobil has called for, on the record. This carbon trading system will link national "cap-and-trade" markets; the "caps" will be in line with the targets for emission reduction. This explains the "paradox" of Big Oil actually being in favor of fighting global warming.

It's hard to be astonished by the sight of Wall Street and Big Oil profiting handsomely from everything post-Copenhagen. Their proposed global carbon tax will hit everyone on the planet; but the beauty is that Wall Street and Big Oil won't have to pay for it. But, one might argue, why not, if the world's 1.5 billion cows will be taxed as well. According to the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization, cow "emissions" rank as a key cause of global warming. So despite all the white man's burden shenanigans, it seems that mammals may be finishing off the Mother Earth that humans had already practically destroyed - evolution theorist Charles Darwin would have loved it.

This is a reply from some body who I was talking to about Climategate

Quote
Our civilization is also based on what the climate is now. Do you have any idea how many products and services we enjoy are dependent on the climate? Climate change would put an end to Major League Baseball as we know it as the trees they make bats from would find themselves in a climate they're not accustomed to as just one example.

Climate does change naturally. However, we're causing it to change at a rate that greatly outpaces evolution and migration.

Japan under fire for laying low in Copenhagen: http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nn20091212a2.html
By ERIC JOHNSTON, Staff writer
Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009

COPENHAGEN — Japan needs to step up and take a more prominent and visible leadership role at the U.N. climate talks or the conference could end in failure, Japanese and foreign nongovernmental organizations said Thursday.

The Copenhagen conference is supposed to forge a deal on greenhouse gas emissions after the first period of the Kyoto Protocol expires in 2012.

With developed and developing countries still divided and a growing split within developing countries over some issues threatening a successful outcome at the conference, calls for the country where the protocol was forged to do more are growing.

"Talks in Copenhagen are on the verge of collapse, with negotiations suspended for several hours Wednesday as developed and developing countries clashed," the environmental NGO Avaaz.org said.

"Next week, Japan has the opportunity to break the deadlock by announcing an ambitious Hatoyama Initiative and fulfilling its obligation to provide developing countries with sufficient climate finance."

[What is this: problem reaction solution?]

With developing nations asking for hundreds of billions of dollars in aid guarantees for climate change mitigation and adaptation, developed countries like Japan are feeling pressure to go well beyond financial pledges of $10 billion annually from 2010 to 2012, which are currently being discussed.

"Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's ministers are in intensive deliberations this week to decide whether Japan will lead the world and announce a bold and visionary finance package or whether Hatoyama is content to let the most critical moment in the history of climate politics slide by with an irresponsibly inadequate short-term finance package," Avaaz said.

Kiko Network, a group of Japan-based NGOs, also chimed in.

"The world is waiting on Japanese leadership, but there's not much time left," the group said in a statement. "Japan needs to quickly reaffirm what it will do under the Hatoyama Initiative (in terms of providing funding to developing countries) and bring a concrete initiative to COP15," as the climate conference is known.

Japan's lack of leadership and visibility in Copenhagen, and not just in the negotiating sessions, has been noticed by other participants.

International journalists and NGOs say they have almost no idea what Japan is thinking or what it's position is on the major issues raised by developing countries.

Unlike their counterparts from the United States, the European Union, China, India, Brazil and Indonesia, the Japanese delegation has yet to hold a news conference open to all media, while Japanese NGOs provide Japanese-language media briefings by invitation only.

On Thursday evening, the Environment Ministry did sponsor a well-attended symposium on Japan's environmental policies under the Hatoyama Initiative and what steps Japan is taking to combat global warming at home and around the world.

Officials defended the role Japan has played so far, saying the reduction targets announced by the Hatoyama administration were ambitious and showed leadership.

"Japan is the fourth-largest emitter of carbon dioxide in the world. But Prime Minister Hatoyama announced a target of 25 percent reductions by 2020, based on 1990," said Atsuhiro Yoshinaka, an Environment Ministry official.

"We believe Japan has encouraged other developed countries to take initiatives and set ambitious targets themselves and that our targets have heightened international momentum to speed up discussions here at COP15," he said.

U.N.'s Ban speaks
NEW YORK (Kyodo) U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon said Thursday that Japan has a "special" role to play at the climate change conference in Copenhagen, where global leaders are working to craft a treaty to replace the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.

"Symbolically, politically, historically, Japan has a special role to play," Ban told a group of reporters from Japanese news organizations ahead of his trip to the Danish capital, where he is scheduled to open the high-level segment of the meeting Tuesday. "You (Japan) have technology. You have financial capacity. Now you have shown the political leadership role."

The U.N. chief was referring to Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's pledge at a U.N. summit on climate change in September in New York for Japan to achieve a 25 percent reduction of its emissions by 2020 from 1990 levels. According to Ban, the bold move led other countries to come forward with their own ambitious proposals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Hatoyama, as well as U.S. President Barack Obama, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, are among the more than 110 world leaders who will participate in the Copenhagen meeting. The conference is expected to yield a political commitment, rather than a legally binding text, which was the initial aim.

"I still expect that the Japanese government, the prime minister, in Copenhagen will lead this campaign and will make a great contribution," he said, adding that Tokyo should urge other global leaders to "follow the Japanese example."

Although acknowledging Hatoyama's domestic challenges in implementing the 25 percent cut, he said no country should bow to internal pressure.

The beauty of the illusion in Japan is that not only does brainwashing work well, it is welcomed by the children.

In Japan, Global Warming has been deeply embedded into the psyche, such that acknowledgment that there is a "real" Climate Change phenomena would lead to further cognitive dissociation. Good thing that the children do not use the Internet for anything more than shopping.

Santa Claus is coming to town...

The Japanese are very sensitive to any overt action that may disrupt harmony. They must be treated with respect and not be told anything that will not upset their dreams.

What Hatoyama means by his "no country should bow to internal pressure." statement is: What's your fcking problem? Get the fck in line! We have total control over the media and our people, why the fck don't you? The Japanese who know about Climaxgate think that it's a video game. They play the game, and forget about it.

Found this article on a worlldbank blog called *Who on earth cares about climate change? *
http://blogs.worldbank.org/climatechange/who-earth-cares-about-climate-change

its quite interesting to see as this is probally the most buyist pole and its not as bad as id imagined it could be,
The Belief is very strong of climate change, but when asked if there willing to sacrifice jobs and slower economic growth the seriousness is halfed,
i have no idea how the polls were done,
but it was done before climategate that much i know.

I've met some activists from this organization. They're not even aware of who funds them. They are told it's a secret. And are only told what to do when they are called for specific actions. They're one more group of domesticated people who do not question authority, and with this reveal to be very badly informed about the subjects they supposedly know more than the average citizen about.

Again, not surprisingly, the 350.org campaign is also NWO-funded:

Big News from Copenhagen: Radical Cuts Urged, Deal In Jeopardy http://www.thenation.com/blogs/copenhagen/505411/big_news_from_copenhagen_radical_cuts_urged_deal_in_jeopardy
Mark Hertsgaard on 12/11/2009 @ 1:32pm

Big news from Copenhagen today, where the divide between big emitters and at-risk nations deepened, threatening the prospects of reaching a climate deal for president Obama and other heads of state to sign when they arrive at the summit next week.

In a day of major developments, the Alliance of Small Island Nations put forth a radically tougher proposal for confronting climate change than the US, China and other major emitters favor. The AOSIS proposal, which calls for temperature rise not to exceed 1.5 Celsius above pre-industrial levels, ran counter to a separate text released today by the chairmen of the summit that called for smaller but still significant cuts. Meanwhile, activists prepared for a worldwide day of demonstrations on Saturday that organizer Bill McKibben of 350.org said were "explicitly endorsing" the AOSIS proposal and would involve "millions of people" and 3,000 actions around the world.

"We are not backing 350 because it's a beautiful number," said diplomat Antonio Lima of Cape Verde, the vice president of AOSIS, referring to the alliance's call to reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million from today's 389. "No, it is because of science," he added. "Some of our members will disappear [beneath rising seas] if we go above 1.5 C."

The rich-poor divide also reared its head on the all-important question of who will pay the bill for climate change.

Todd Stern, the Obama administration's chief climate negotiator, said Thursday that he "categorically reject(s)" the suggestion that rich industrial countries owe compensation to the victims of climate change. Stern acknowledged that the emissions of rich nations over the past two hundred years of industrialization had caused global warming, telling a press conference, "We absolutely recognize our historic role in putting emissions in the atmosphere." But, Stern added, "the sense of guilt or culpability or reparations--I just categorically reject that."

Stern's statement put him at odds not only with international law but with America's European allies. European Union leaders announced in Brussels today that their governments would provide 7.2 billion Euros over the next three years to help poor nations adapt to sea level rise, drought and other intensifying impacts of climate change. The EU's offer was in keeping with the provisions of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change--the climate treaty President George H.W. Bush signed at the Earth Summit in 1992 and which the Copenhagen negotiations are seeking to extend. Nevertheless, it was quickly rejected by developing nations and aid agencies as grossly inadequate.

"We have talked about $100 billion a year," ambassador Lima told The Nation, citing an estimate the World Bank has made for climate change adaptation by poor nations. "Now we are hearing about $10 billion for three years."

"Worst of all, this money is not even new," Tim Gore, the climate adviser to Oxfam EU, told the BBC. "It's made up of a recycling of past promises and payments that have already been made."

The emissions reductions included in the AOSIS proposal go far beyond what is currently on the table in Copenhagen. AOSIS calls for global emissions to peak "no later than 2015," which aligns with statements made by IPCC Chair Ranjendra Pachauri. But AOSIS then demands that the US and other developed nations cut emissions by 45 percent (compared to 1990 levels) by 2020. Furthermore, global emissions, including from large developing countries such as China and India, are to fall at least 85 percent by 2050.

Noting that Pachauri, NASA scientist James Hansen and other experts have endorsed reducing carbon dioxide levels to 350 parts per million as soon as possible, McKibben hailed the AOSIS proposal as "the first truly rational attempt to grapple with what the science of climate change tells us."

But the US, China and other big emitters are backing much smaller cuts. The EU has offered to cut its emissions by 20 percent from 1990 levels by 2020, and by 30 percent if other nations do the same. Japan has made a similar pledge, while the Obama administration, facing congressional resistance, has offered to cut by a mere 4 percent. China and India have said they will limit the growth of their emissions but that population growth and the need to fight poverty require absolute emissions to grow for years to come.

Thus the stage is set for a showdown in Copenhagen next week. Heads of state do not generally come to high-profile international negotiations like this one unless they expect to sign a deal. Poor and vulnerable nations are counting on global public pressure to compel the biggest emitters to go further, much further, than they have in mind.

"If we leave Copenhagen without a legally binding outcome and without very strong commitment on finance, how can we go in front of our children and tell them, We couldn't reach [an agreement]," ambassador Lima told a roomful of young activists holding signs saying, "We stand with AOSIS." That's why we need the support of you, the youth," he continued, "because you are the ones who are going to suffer if we don't have a good result.  And sometimes your governments will hear you when they do not hear us."

EnviroNation: RECAP: The first week of COP15. http://www.thenation.com/blogs/copenhagen/505895/recap_the_first_week_of_cop15
Robert S. Eshelman on 12/13/2009 @ 11:43am

The first week of official COP15 negotiations has passed and environmental ministers from the 192 countries participating in the talks will now review several draft texts in order to seal a deal before heads of state arrive this week.

So what is the current state of negotiations?

Two issues are driving talks - emissions targets and money - with an agreement on deforestation emerging as important sub-issue.

Prior to the start of COP15, the possibility of a deal in Copenhagen lurched forward ever so slightly when several countries, most importantly the U.S., India and China, committed to emissions cuts. And Gordon Brown proposed a funding source to help poor and developing countries adapt to the impacts of climate change and to help them produce greater amounts of clean energy. At the same time, though, many heads of state sought to tone down expectations that COP15 would lead to a legally binding treaty, focusing instead on achieving a "political agreement" that would be finalized in mid-2010.

Amidst these new offers and plummeting hopes of what would be achieved at COP15 came news that emails from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit, where several leading climate scientists are based, had been hacked and published on the internet. Although in no way undermining the soundness of climate science, the tone of the emails and suggestion that scientists had used "tricks" to explain recent cooling of atmospheric temperatures, was seized upon by the climate change denial movement. Sarah Palin editorialized about it and Congressional Republicans promised to take the issue to Copenhagen. The emergence of the hacked emails has had little impact, though, on the summit itself.

Another revelation, however, did shift the tone of the talks. The Guardian published a draft Danish text from the eerily named "Circle of Commitment" that was chaired by the Danes and included the U.S. The contents of the draft were of little surprise but angered many delegates from poor and low-lying countries in confirming that developed countries were secretly negotiating outside of the UNFCCC process and seeking to ram through an agreement at COP15. The talks didn't fall into "disarray" as the Guardian article asserted but there was a palpable sense of crisis in the halls of the Bella Center. Many delegates and negotiators from poor and low-lying countries that I spoke with following the leak argued that they came to negotiate - openly and in good faith - at COP15 and were disappointed by the emergence of the Danish text.

And what are the concerns of those countries from Africa, South America, and the low-lying countries close to the world's oceans? A draft treaty proposed by the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) on Friday best articulates them. The document is really two treaties - one that would extend the Kyoto Protocol to 2017 and a "Copenhagen Treaty" that would commit the U.S. to a binding agreement among many other strong proposals. The AOSIS proposal has become a rallying point for countries most at threat of desertification, drought or flooding and most in need of assistance to adapt to those threats and to build clean energy infrastructures.

The AOSIS draft also illuminates an important development in the way these talks are being discussed. The developed-developing country binary has been shattered by the distinct demands of the poor and low-lying nations that are spelled out in the AOSIS proposal, which focus on setting strong emissions targets both developed and developing economies, securing substantial funding for adaptation and mitigation, and lowering the target for global temperature increase from 2 degrees Celsius to "well below" 1.5 degrees. Agreeing to a 2 degree ceiling, according to the G77 spokesperson, was a "suicide pact" that would mean the deaths of millions of Africans.

Developed countries - the U.S. as well as several E.U. countries - are applying pressure on Brazil, India, and China to reduce the "carbon intensity" of their emissions. Conversely, these developing countries seek money to convert their energy infrastructures from fossil fuel intensive ones to systems utilizing greater amounts of renewables. The push and pull between these blocks is distinct from the demands represented in the AOSIS proposal, which calls for much greater amounts of money, more substantial emissions cuts from both developed and developing nations, and seeks strong protections for indigenous people and forest ecosystems. More importantly, some nations - Bolivia chiefly - have sought to shift the frame of reference of the talks by problematizing the economic system, consumer demand, and respect for "Mother Earth", arguing that climate change is a symptom of a disease - namely economic globalizaton.

The same day that AOSIS released their text, the first official drafts emerged from the two working groups within the UNFCCC negotiating process. Together, they breathed new life into Kyoto by calling for an extension of the treaty to 2017 and seeking to tie the U.S. to binding cuts, reiterating that developed countries' were most responsible for creating global warming and therefore most responsible for making the greatest commitments to reducing it. The various texts also revealed deep divisions and disagreements within the negotiations. Large sections of text were bracketed for further negotiation. The divisions among countries were deepening and the clock was ticking.

In response to the various texts circulating on Friday, Todd Stern, lead U.S. climate negotiator, admitted that the U.S. had a responsibility to act and that he understood the concerns of low-lying and African nations. But, he added, without new emissions cuts being proposed by major developing nations there would be little hope of a breakthrough.

On Saturday, members of the Tuvalu delegation made an impassioned plea before the morning's plenary session. Why, they asked, was the world being held hostage by a handful of U.S. Congress people? Indeed, the specter of U.S. Congressional intransigence has permeated the Bella Center, only to be reinforced by Stern's comment. At a moment when, daily, scientific report after peer-reviewed scientific report, warning of even greater risk of ecological damage, was presented at COP15, Senators Kerry, Graham, and Lieberman announced they were amending the Senate's climate change bill by lowering the proposed emission target, increasing funding for nuclear energy, and providing boosts to fossil fuel industries. It was U.S. exceptionalism and defiance in its most grotesque form.

If there's going to be an agreement, it will come down mostly to money. The E.U. might offer more money and the U.S. might provide a counteroffer. There might be some movement on emissions targets from the E.U. but with the Senate's recent reduction of its emissions target, the door seems to be closed on Obama offering greater cuts. Offers of financing, particularly around addressing deforestation, might woo a number of developing and poor countries and secure their commitment for a deal. The poor and low-lying countries demands for funding and 1.5 degree Celsisus will remain unmet. After all, this summit is about politics and the G77 nations (which actually represents 130 nations), while putting forward the strongest proposals and the most compelling testimony about what is a stake, lack the political muscle, at the moment, to shift the frame. The international climate justice movement will have to do the heavy lifting on that problem.

But time is short at COP15.

So It seems the hands of the G77 and AOSIS are tied and it seems unlikely that they will gather enough momentum around their proposals to shift the terms of debate at COP15. The international climate justice movement, in its attempt to call attention to some of those very issues and to agitate for systemic change, could be an instrumental ally. A lot of heavy lifting is needed to shift discussions about climate change and build political power.

Hold onto your seats. These negotiations will come down to the wire. But one thing seems certain as they head into their final stage: if an agreement emerges from COP15, it's not being driven by science; it's being driven by geopolitics. It won't bring atmospheric CO2 levels below 350 ppm; won't adequately fund adaptation and mitigation efforts; and will not lead to a strong international agreement. Which begs certain question for the climate justice movement, whether inside or outside of the talks: what do we do after COP15?

UNFCCC: Highlights COP 15 press briefing 12 December http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljw9cT76zdY&feature=player_embedded

At a joint press briefing at the halfway stage in the conference, UNFCCC Executive Secretary Yvo de Boer and COP 15 President Connie Hedegaard stressed that while there is strong political will for an agreed outcome in Copenhagen, there is now a need for good intentions to be replaced by solutions.

Ms. Hedegaard praised the work of the Chairs of the working groups under the  Convention and the Kyoto Protocol in preparing the latest draft texts that allow consultations to be more specific

Regarding the nature of the outcome, Mr. de Boer said that if Copenhagen can deliver a set of political decisions that launch immediate action and that formulate ambitious industrialized country targets as well as broad engagement by developing countries with financial support, this is something we can be proud of.

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change: http://unfccc.int/essential_background/convention/items/2627.php

The Convention on Climate Change sets an overall framework for intergovernmental efforts to tackle the challenge posed by climate change.  It recognizes that the climate system is a shared resource whose stability can be affected by industrial and other emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.  The Convention enjoys near universal membership, with 192 countries having ratified.

Under the Convention, governments:

    * gather and share information on greenhouse gas emissions, national policies and best practices
    * launch national strategies for addressing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to expected impacts, including the provision of financial and technological support to developing countries
    * cooperate in preparing for adaptation to the impacts of climate change

The Convention entered into force on 21 March 1994.

Environment tax plan put on hold--Election, industry pressures push ruling bloc to renege on promised cuts in car, gas levies http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nn20091215a3.html
Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009
Kyodo News

The fiscal year starting in April will not see the introduction of a contentious environment tax, thanks to strong opposition from the business community and from ruling party lawmakers who hope to prevail in next July's Upper House election, government sources said Monday.

The Democratic Party of Japan-led government will probably keep some provisional gasoline and other automobile-related taxes intact next year, backpedaling on a promise to abolish them, while meanwhile exploring the possibility of introducing an environment tax in fiscal 2011 or later, the sources said.

With the decision to shelve the environment tax, Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's Cabinet will probably find it harder to raise enough money to fund its key policy pledges amid a shortfall in tax revenue.

The complete abolition of gas- and auto-related taxes would lead to a shortfall of about ¥2.5 trillion in national and local tax receipts.

The Cabinet is trying to decide on the specifics of tax reforms for fiscal 2010 by the end of this week.

Earlier this month, Deputy Prime Minister Naoto Kan, Finance Minister Hirohisa Fujii and internal affairs minister Kazuhiro Haraguchi agreed to pursue introduction of an environment tax in fiscal 2010.

The Environment Ministry wants the levy starting next April so it can reap its share of the ¥2 trillion it is supposed to generate in new revenue.

But Hatoyama has said he is wary of levying the tax too soon in light of its negative impact on businesses and people's daily lives.

Communism, according to Engels/Marx, is a NWO creation. And the communist parties in the West have been created just to shift things into a more "leftist" position. That's why the "Communist Manifesto" was written by a capitalist, why the Communist Party of the U.S. has been founded by a capitalist, and probably why you have this Monbiot character going along with this capitalist scheme.

Interesting to note, is how, in contrast, the local Trotskyists (the modern-day followers of NWO-puppet Leon Trotsky) have completely whitewashed this Climategate scandal, never talk about 9/11, make very light critics to outrageous police state measures while presenting some proposals of their own, occasionally support mainstream controlled-"left-wing" candidates, have always been given a lot of attention by the controlled media, in which they openly brag to have a lot of people, and with the help of which they probably managed to reach an almost 3rd party status, are members of an International and are all pro-European, have an elitist lifestyle not very congruent with people who defend the interests of the working class (who they only appear to defend in rhetoric and not in effective practical terms), and openly discuss the Hegelian Dialectic process, presenting the modern-day Welfare State as a result of the clash between Capitalism and Communist ideals.
Interesting indeed...

must admit the obvious:

NEW DISCOVERY: NASA STUDY PROVES
CARBON DIOXIDE COOLS ATMOSPHERE

Written by H. Schreuder & J. O'Sullivan

A recent NASA report throws the space agency into conflict with its climatologists after new NASA measurements prove that carbon dioxide acts as a coolant in Earth's atmosphere.

NOTE: The NASA REPORT ~~>http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2012/22mar_saber/

NASA's Langley Research Center has collated data proving that “greenhouse gases” actually block up to 95 percent of harmful solar rays from reaching our planet, thus reducing the heating impact of the sun. The data was collected by Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry, (or SABER). SABER monitors infrared emissions from Earth’s upper atmosphere, in particular from carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitric oxide (NO), two substances thought to be playing a key role in the energy balance of air above our planet’s surface.

NASA's Langley Research Center instruments show that the thermosphere not only received a whopping 26 billion kilowatt hours of energy from the sun during a recent burst of solar activity, but that in the upper atmospheric carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide molecules sent as much as 95% of that radiation straight back out into space.

The shock revelation starkly contradicts the core proposition of the so-called greenhouse gas theory which claims that more CO2 means more warming for our planet. However, this compelling new NASA data disproves that notion and is a huge embarrassment for NASA's chief climatologist, Dr James Hansen and his team over at NASA's GISS.

Already, the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has been in full retreat after having to concede a 17-year stall in global warming despite levels of atmopheric CO2 rising almost 40 percent in recent decades. The new SABER data now forms part of a real world double whammy against climatologists' computer models that have always been programmed to show CO2 as a warming gas.
