June 2-3, 2009
Ft. Meade, MD

General Information
This classified conference will focus on the preeminent intelligence issues facing those who are tasked with Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) as part of their mission. Over 1000 participants from the US intelligence community and throughout the world will attend this conference.

The exposition will be unclassified and will consist of a two-day event as an adjunct to the SIGINT Conference. The conference sessions will be conducted in a classified area (the Friedmann Auditorium) in close proximity to the exhibit area (located in the OPS1 Cafeteria Party Room). Visiting the exhibits will be incorporated into the daily agenda for the conference. In addition, the expo will be open to all NSA personnel on both days ensuring a vast group of attendees.

“What is SIGINT?
Signals Intelligence is technical and intelligence information derived from the exploitation of foreign electronic emissions which is comprised either individually or in combination of communications intelligence (COMINT), electronic intelligence (ELINT), and foreign instrumentation signals intelligence (FISINT).

NSA's SIGINT mission protects the nation by:
- Providing information in the form of SIGINT products and services that enable our government to make critical decisions and operate successfully.
- Protecting the rights of U.S. citizens by adhering to the provisions of the 4th amendment to the Constitution.
- Using the nation's resources responsibly, according to the best management processes available.”

The IPTube•SS7•SIG•T1 transports SS7 messages over IP networks. SS7 signaling network elements such as local and tandem switches, Mobile Switching Centers, Signal Transfer Points and Home Location Registers that are interconnected to remote network elements by IPTube•SS7•SIG•T1s are able to transmit their signaling messages over cost effective and flexible IP networks.

Reduced Transport Costs
Carriers significantly reduce SS7 transport costs by replacing expensive long-haul dedicated signaling links with very competitively priced IP connectivity between network elements. Service providers cut costs with SS7 Over IP by offloading data traffic from SS7 networks onto IP networks.
