WAKE-UP Call!

Subject: HR 1207 Now in Committee!

A message to all members of the "End The Fed Network".

In a major breakthrough for our movement, Ron Paul's bill to Audit the Fed has been referred to the House Committee on Financial Services..  That's a HUGE step forward.

NOW is the time to bring all of our efforts to bear on the situation.  If we can get the bill out of Committee it will go to the House floor for a vote!

Let's step up our efforts to collect petition signatures to support HR 1207. The Repeal the Fed petition has been amended to also support HR 1207 to Audit the Fed.  Download it here:  http://endthefed.us/media/RepealPetition.pdf

(NOTE:  We will be sending petition signatures to Ron Paul's Congressional Office, the Campaign for Liberty and your local Congressional and Senatorial offices instead of the ETF mailing address from now on.)

During the festivities on April 25th, let's maximize our petition signature collection efforts as well as educational efforts.  Try to include a location which allows for interaction with the public in your plans.

After April 25th, let's renew our efforts to support these bills and redouble our signature gathering.

April 27th:

Audit the Fed! Melt the

Switchboard Day

RED ALERT! Our legislation, HR 1207 is IN COMMITTEE.
This is a major deal. We need to step up and give the situation all our attention NOW or else we should fold up our tents, disband and submit to the rule of the Fed forever. This is our chance to shine!

MOST BILLS DIE IN COMMITTEE FOR LACK OF SUPPORT. There is no way to know how long it will stay in Committee. That means it's all up to US.

Just did, inf fact I do this on a weekly basis. this is a turning point if on the floor.

The problem I have is that the pols seem to have turned off the voice of the people. I could rant on this one, but i won't bore you folks to death, you all know the deal.

I immediately contacted my reps - and pretty much told them it's time to stop the corruption at the Fed.

Didn't really "say" it, but if he wants my vote, he best put his support behind this too.
And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

My prediction, and I hope I'm wrong. This bill will float around Congress drumming up interest from the constituents that know or care about the fraud perpetrated by the Fed on the American people, then will do exactly what it is meant to do. Fall by the wayside. We'll all marvel at how close we came this time. Or how about this. It passes in some form and the Fed just says no. I know my cynicism is showing and like I said I hope I'm wrong.

Perhaps they want to "end the Fed".

How about "end the IMF".

Because the IMF as world bank is the goal - the fed has to go, they don't mind.

Simply brilliant. Discredit the Fed then bring in the IMF or the World Bank to pick up the pieces. World currency ta da.

It's people like you Voskhod3 that keep me tied to this forum. Simple, to the point, and I don't have to spend twenty minutes reading some crap.

Anyone who thinks that the IMF system of worldwide genocide is a solution to the Federal Reserve's system of illegal wars, false flags, and creation of boom/busts is insane:

An Argentine opinion on the Global Financial Crisis, describing the whole Global Financial System as one vast Ponzi Scheme. Like a pyramid, it has four sides and is a predictable model. The four sides are: (1) Artificially control the supply of public State-issued Currency, (2) Artificially impose Banking Money as the primary source of funding in the economy, (3) Promote doing everything by Debt and (4) Erect complex channels that allow privatizing profits when the Model is in expansion mode and socialize losses when the model goes into contraction mode.

... good as gold. Even during the Depression, one of Roosevelt s first acts was to remove free market gold pricing as an indication of a flawed monetary system by making it illegal for American citizens to own gold. Economic law eventually limited that effort, as it did in the early 1970s when our Treasury and the IMF tried to fix the price of gold by dumping tons into the market to dampen the enthusiasm of those seeking a safe haven for a falling dollar after gold ownership was re-legalized. Once again the effort between 1980 and 2000 to fool the market as to the true value of the dollar proved unsuccessful. In...

But the artificial nature of today's world trade and finance being systematically managed by the IMF, the World Bank and WTO, and driven by a worldwide fiat monetary system, has produced imbalances that have already prompted many sudden adjustments. The main question before the new Congress and the Administration is: Are we to have gridlock or cooperation? Today we refer to cooperation as bipartisanship. Some argue that bipartisanship is absolutely necessary for the American democracy to survive. The media never mention a concern for the survival of...

... If our goal is honestly to remove dictators around the world, then this is the beginning of an endless task. In the transition from the original American foreign policy of peace, trade, and neutrality to that of world policeman, we have sacrificed our sovereignty to world government organizations, such as the UN, the IMF, the World Bank, and the WTO. To further confuse and undermine our position, we currently have embarked on a policy of unilateralism within these world organizations. This means we accept the principle of globalized government when it pleases us, but when it doesn't, we ignore it for the sake of...

I've written a nice little article on the bill, going over the basic distortions of the Federal Reserve and its history. This might be useful if you want to inform other people, even your local representatives (for those in the US).

Click here to read the article.

"Audit the Fed" bill now has 84 cosponsors

With 84 cosponsors, Ron Paul's "Audit the Fed" bill is gaining enormous strength.

The bill is named H.R.1207, with the described purpose, "To amend title 31, United States Code, to reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States and the manner in which such audits are reported, and for other purposes."

It was introduced on February 26, 2009.

This bill is seen as monumental, as the privately-owned central bank, the Federal Reserve, has since 1913 been in control of America's financial system. By printing money and artificially adjusting interest rates, the integrity of the dollar has been weakened, and the free market heavily distorted.

Throughout its history, the Federal Reserve has inflated numerous bubbles via cash injections, as opposed to leaving the free market to work itself out. For example, the subprime mortgage bubble and the dot-com bubble were both inflated by the Federal Reserve, under Alan Greenspan.

While Dr. Ron Paul has seeked to eliminate the Federal Reserve altogether, this bill would force the organisation to be more transparent with where it spends and receives money. In the recent 2008 bailout, the "Fed" refused to tell Congress where it had spent much of the money, sparking public outrage.

The bill's success can be largely attributed to Dr. Paul's viral Presidential campaign in 2008, in which he received a record $6 billion dollars in one day, and was voted the winner of numerous Republican debates.

All Americans are encouraged to phone their local representatives and ask them to cosponsor the bill.

Cosponsors are pouring onto the bill faster than the Library of Congress' site can keep up (We're up to 91 now, but the listing won't show until early next week.)
