By Nate, on September 9th, 2011

CNN and the Tea Party Express have announced the confirmed participants for the September 12th Republican "Tea Party" debate being held in Tampa, Florida. This debate comes just days after the Reagan Library debate and will feature the same candidate lineup baring any unforseen events. You can submit your questions to the debate here.

Air Time: Monday, September 12th, 2011 at 8pm ET on CNN

Participants: Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum

Report from CNN:

Washington (CNN) – Eight Republicans vying for support from tea party activists will face off later this month in a CNN presidential debate cosponsored by the Tea Party Express and tea party organizations representing every state in the nation.

The "Tea Party Republican Debate" will take place Sept. 12th in Tampa, Florida – the host city for the 2012 Republican National Convention. Florida is also a key state in the race for the GOP presidential nomination.

CNN's Wolf Blitzer will moderate the debate, which will feature questions from guests inside the hall as well as from people attending viewing parties around the country. It will be broadcast live nationally on CNN, CNN en Español and CNN Radio, around the world on CNN International, CNN en Español and streamed on CNN.com.

Last month, Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced he would run for the GOP nomination, joining Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Texas Rep. Ron Paul, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, businessman Herman Cain, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman on stage in Tampa.

CNN crafted objective criteria – modeled after criteria the network used at the June debate – to determine who would be eligible to participate in the Sept. 12th debate. Participants needed to achieve a minimum 2 percent threshold in an average of national primary polls to be invited to the debate.

I am looking forward to letting citizens ask questions as opposed to the moderators who usually have their own agenda. I am wondering whether citizen questions will focus more narrowly on the economy, a topic which moderators in previous debates have not adequately explored in my opinion.

Big Pharma gov in Florida seems to have an agenda for Big Pharma Bilderberg puppet Rick Perry...

Pretty obvious which prez candidate Rick Scott prefers

SEPTEMBER 04, 2011

Gov. Rick Scott said he intends to stay on the sidelines indefinitely in the presidential race, but it's pretty obvious where his heart resides.

First of all, he says he prefers governors. So scratch Michele Bachmann, Ron Paul, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and all the others who have never been chief executives.Second, the former health care executive has said Mitt Romney's health care reform efforts in Massachusetts, which included individual mandates, were wrongheaded. Definite strike against Romney, though Scott contributed to Romney's presidential campaign in 2007. Third, the governor is forever talking about the terrific job Rick Perry has been doing in Texas, and how he wants to emulate and surpass him to make Florida the No. 1 state for job growth. He may not endorse a candidate, but clearly Rick Scott is a Rick Perry guy.

Given Scott's lousy poll numbers, the only question is whether Perry would prefer to keep that a secret.*

SEPTEMBER 09, 2011

In addition to Randy Enwright, Jim Rimes and Rich Heffley, the Rick Perry campaign today announced today that Nick Hansen will be Florida state director, Bret Prater will serve as the Florida Political Director, and Anthony Bustamante will advise the Florida team’s grassroots efforts.

From a campaign release: “Florida is very important to me, and I am looking forward to bringing my pro-jobs conservative message to Florida and the Presidency 5 straw poll events,” said Gov. Perry. “I have also assembled a strong team of Florida Republican professionals to help carry my record and vision for job creation and fiscal conservatism to the voters of the Sunshine State.”

Nick Hansen has been involved in numerous successful elections, including municipal, legislative and presidential races. He has served as a campaign strategist for Congressman Gus Bilirakis, Jack Latvala for State Senate, Sandra Murman for Hillsborough Commissioner, Bill Foster for St. Pete Mayor, and Deveron Gibbons for St. Pete Mayor. Hansen was the Tampa Bay Regional Field Director for Mitt Romney for President in 2008. Most recently, Hansen acted as a strategist and legislative assistant to Representative Jeff Brandes.

Bret Prater organized grassroots in Miami during the Bush-Brogan 2002 gubernatorial campaign, served as a Regional Victory Director in the panhandle during the Bush-Cheney 2004 presidential campaign, and has managed statewide projects for the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) for the past three election cycles. During the 2010 election cycle, Prater served as the RPOFs Political Director, where he oversaw the party’s Victory program, managed congressional affairs, and acted as a liaison to statewide campaigns. Most recently Prater was the Florida Political Director for Tim Pawlenty for President.

Anthony Bustamante served as Senator Marco Rubio’s Statewide Field Director in 2010. While in that role, he built up the grassroots organization in Florida by gathering support from local parties, the Tea Party, 9/12 groups, and many other conservative organizations across the state. Bustamante has also served as a Regional Victory Director and 72 Hour Director for the RPOF.

Florida is focus of GOP presidential race
The eight major candidates for the Republican presidential nomination are due to appear at Monday's debate.

http://www2.tbo.com/news/politics/2011/sep/11/florida-is-focus-of-gop-presidential-race-ar-256575/
By WILLIAM MARCH | The Tampa Tribune
Published: September 11, 2011

Florida will take center stage in the presidential race this month, starting with Monday's GOP candidates' debate in Tampa and leading up to the Presidency 5 straw poll, an event expected to identify clearly the leaders and challengers in the race. Between now and then, most of the leading GOP candidates will be raising money and making public appearances in major Florida media markets, and courting the state Republican convention delegates who will vote in the Presidency 5 poll. The straw poll is receiving less national attention this year than in years past, but it's likely to remain the nation's best early predictor of the primary horse race.

"I think whoever wins it will be the next president," Gov. Rick Scott said in an interview Friday. Tonight's debate is expected to continue the battle between the two leaders in the race, Rick Perry and Mitt Romney.

[NOTE: In what parallel universe does the Tampa Tribune and William March live in? Ron Paul beat those sorry excuses for a presidential candidate by 4-1 and 3-1 respectively. How does anyone believe these audacious liars anymore?]

It's also likely to focus heavily on the issue Romney campaign aides have identified as their best point of attack against Perry, Social Security. The Social Security battle is likely to be fought out in Florida, the nation's must-win swing state for a Republican presidential candidate, and the state with the nation's second-highest number of 65-plus residents. Perry has called Social Security a "Ponzi scheme," and called it unconstitutional in his book; Romney responds that a candidate who appears to favor abolition of Social Security can't win the presidency.

Michele Bachmann, dropping in the polls after a surge from her Iowa straw poll win in August, will seek to regain some attention and momentum. Jon Huntsman, still fighting to get traction, will work to move his candidacy off the starting blocks. Bachmann and Romney have said they won't compete in the Presidency 5 straw poll, but it's unclear what that means. Both will attend the Presidency 5 state party convention in Orlando Sept. 22-24 where the straw poll will take place, and their names will be on the ballot, regardless whether they say they're competing. Huntsman, meanwhile, seemed to shift the focus of his campaign somewhat away from Florida last week and toward the nation's first primary state, New Hampshire. He announced he's moving some staff from Florida, where he previously established his national headquarters in Orlando, to New Hampshire. A statement from Huntsman's campaign manager, Matt David, referred to the "diminished importance" of the straw poll, without explaining what that meant. But on the same day, Perry announced he'll campaign actively in the straw poll, and set up a web site to encourage delegates who will vote in the poll to pledge support. Florida Republican Party spokesman Brian Hughes, in response, said it "redefined irony [that] on the day a campaign that polls near last place calls Presidency 5 diminished, the campaign polling in first place announces it will vigorously compete." He said Huntsman's action "defies reason."

* * * * *
The Florida straw poll is more significant than most party straw polls because it's a true test of the candidates' popularity and organizing ability, not just a fundraising gimmick. Unlike straw polls including Iowa's, campaigns can't bus in supporters or buy them voting tickets. Only the 3,500 delegates to the Presidency 5 convention may vote. They were chosen this summer in a process set up to create a representative cross-section of the Florida party and its leadership.

[NOTE: Check out the batshit crazy subliminal attack on Ron Paul who just won the MSNBC poll by a margin of over 3-1 against Romney and 4-1 against Bilderberg's Perry]

"Straw polls are often downplayed and for good reason," but "the Florida straw poll is different, because of how it's conducted and because Florida is a more representative state, less prone to ideological extremism, said retired University of South Florida political scientist Darryl Paulson.Among the top three finishers in Iowa – Bachmann, Ron Paul and Tim Pawlenty -- Pawlenty has dropped out and Bachmann and Paul are "struggling," he said.

[On what planet is beating all competitors combined and able to have the most financially secure campaign 'struggling'. Where did Darryl Paulson get his Political Science degree? From Sears? WTF kind of bullshit was that?]

In all three previous election cycles when the poll has been held, Paulson noted, the winner has gone on to win not only the Florida primary, but also the party's nomination.
But veteran political analyst Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia said despite the Florida straw poll's comparative legitimacy, "the results in Ames may have dampened the coverage of other straw polls for this year. Iowa has soured the prospect for Florida. Maybe it isn't fair, but what's fair about politics?" The late-building Republican field, which left little time for the candidates to organize and compete in Presidency 5, may have diminished its national importance, said prominent Fort Lauderdale GOP activist Justin Sayfie. But he said it will still "help define the conventional wisdom" about who's winning the race and who's the top challenger. "The biggest impact it's going to have is the momentum and perception advantage it will give the winner and top finishers with respect to winning the Florida primary," he said. Sayfie, who initially backed Pawlenty but is now uncommitted, said he thinks most Republican donors and activists are still uncommitted: "When I ask who's got the most grass-roots support right now, the answer I pretty consistently get is none of them." A Presidency 5 win will be a major coup in swaying those activists and donors, he said.

Republicans say the events surrounding the straw poll – a Conservative Political Action Conference, a Fox News debate and a Florida Faith and Freedom Coalition rally – will draw national attention to the event. But regardless of their opinions about the importance of the straw poll, candidates are swarming Florida this month.

Perry will kick off his Florida campaign with a five-city tour following Tonight's debate, starting with a breakfast in Tampa Tuesday morning. The events will be fundraisers, however, not open to the public.
Herman Cain will conduct a bus tour of Florida, including an appearance before Hillsborough Presidency 5 delegates and Republicans Sept. 20.
Rick Santorum plans to meet with Hillsborough Presidency 5 delegates today before the CNN/Tea Party debate.
Romney and Bachmann are also reportedly planning campaign appearances in Florida before Presidency 5, but details weren't available.

[They mention every other candidate (even the ones who have dropped out) at least 3x...Ron Paul only gets one mention. WTF?]

Ron Paul Wins Readers' Presidency 5 Prediction Poll
http://blogs.browardpalmbeach.com/pulp/2011/08/ron_paul_wins_readers_presiden.php
By Matthew Hendley Mon., Aug. 22 2011 at 8:58 AM

There's apparently some unwritten rule that members of the media are forbidden to talk about Rep. Ron Paul -- at least in the eyes of Jon Stewart -- but according to our readers, Paul is most likely to win next month's "Presidency 5" straw poll in Orlando, garnering more than 33 percent of the votes cast.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry came in second place in our highly unscientific poll with nearly 26 percent, and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romeny came in third with just over 23 percent, although he's said he won't be participating in the event.

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman came in fourth place in our poll with a little under 8 percent of the votes cast, and the rest of the candidates -- or possible candidates -- came in with less than 4 percent of the vote:

The "Presidency 5" straw poll will be preceded by a debate televised by Fox News, and the process may work in Paul's favor since Rep. Michele Bachmann and Romney have said they aren't participating in the event, and Perry hasn't committed.

The poll hasn't been held in more than a decade, but it's an odd choice for candidates to skip out on it, since the "Presidency 5" straw poll has correctly decided the eventual GOP nominee in each of the three times it was held (1979, 1987, and 1995), and each winner of the straw poll won the primary in Florida in those years as well.

As we've mentioned earlier, the "Presidency 5" poll is a bit different than the recent Ames straw poll in that it relies a bit less on candidates eating deep-fried butter on a stick, and more on how they handle the debate.

The 3,500 delegate who will have the opportunity to vote in the poll are pre-selected

TEA PARTY EXPRESS
http://www.teapartyexpress.org/debate/

The Tea Party Debate is a truly historic, first-of-its-kind event that will bring conservative candidates for President together to discuss tea party principles, and determine which candidate has the best solutions to lead the United States of America and her people into greater freedom and prosperity.

The debate demonstrates that the tea party, which began as a small grassroots movement, has grown tremendously in size and influence to become a powerful force in American politics.

The Tea Party Debate will focus only on the core principles and values of the tea party movement: limited government, free markets, and fiscal responsibility.

WHEN: September 12, 2011

WHERE: Tampa, Florida

This date was chosen because it is such a significant day in the history of the tea party movement: the anniversary of the massive “March on D.C.” which demonstrated the power and size of the tea party.
Mission

Our expectation is that a strong front runner will emerge who clearly supports the principles and values of the tea party movement and who is the strongest constitutional conservative. We believe that the groups around the country will make the decision to support that strong tea party candidate and will work to take back the White House from President Obama.
Partners

The Tea Party Debate has tremendous significance because it is powered by engaged tea party activists. The Tea Party Debate will be coordinated by Tea Party Express and CNN, with participation and involvement from co-host local tea party groups in every state across the country. The questions asked of the candidates will all come from the tea party groups and their members – to ensure the debate is about the issues that matter most to the tea party movement.

8:46 PM | The Tea Party debate is getting heated over jobs.

After giving Texas props for job creation, Romney says "If you are dealt four aces, you aren't necessarily a good poker player" (referring to Texas being a Republican, right-to-work state with rich energy resources.
Perry responds: "I was gonna say Mitt you were doing pretty good until you got to poker."
Then Ron Paul jumps in, saying Perry's record is "not quite" as good as he claims. Adds he doesn't want to make Perry mad because "he might raise my taxes."

http://www.businessinsider.com/live-coverage-the-tea-party-presidential-debate-2011-9

8:47: Ron Paul criticizes government job growth under Perry’s watch. In fact, between 2007 and 2010, 47 percent of all government jobs were created in Texas. Perry has supported the largest tax hikes in Texas’ history.

The Ricki Perry show that CNN was going to push tonight has blown up in their faces.

Aside from the star of the show falling on his Gardasil soaked sword for Merck,

To skip a Dr. on a series of medical questions,

to skip the founder of the National Audit the Fed movement for an audit the Fed question,

to not pointing out the December 16th, 2007's $6 million dollar Money Bomb fundraising was the beginning of the modern Tea Party before the fake libertarians jumped the train and took it over with corrupted messages,

will only leave such points available for us to make to our fellow citizens and thus enlighten and endear them to our efforts.  Perry will be the looser of any attempt to use him as a foil for the facts.

If Ron Paul would refine what he says about OBL and Al Qeada, I think he would win more people over that are Islamophobe hard headed. He should put a little more truth in it because he is using what CIA asset OBL is saying not an authentic Jahdist OBL (sp) is saying. He is playing the rules of the (official Story). He should saying something that is more truthful and not play by their story which is a lie. Is should include the info that we are supporting AL CIAda in Libya.

Other than that Ron Paul did a wonderful job.

On the 9/11 question he was answering with the truth, audience was not listening. The truth is hard to swallow, for many.

On the 9/11 question, Ron Paul exposed the truth...

Bilderberg would never have been able to recruit so many patsies if we were not bombing them every day and putting military bases everywhere.

On the 9/11 question, Rick Santorum is a total dick because he made it seem like Ron Paul was blaming the American people rather than listening to him or reading what he wrote. Dr. Paul wrote legislation to use our constitutional right of reprisal to catch the ones who did this. That likely would have allowed true investigations into ALL OF THE TERRORISTS including the trilateral ones. Ron Paul has never, ever, ever blamed the American people, he has blamed the anti-constitutional foreign policy which is run by the Council on Foreign Relations and the Rothschild banksters. Most of this was exposed in the Reece commission investigations. It is that foreign policy which continues to push us into illegal wars, as they wrote about at the Carnegie Foundation since 1909. This is all on record.

My guess is that Ron Paul will have a press conference and get some books together for Santorum, Perry, Romney, and Gingrich to read.

Also, and this is most important...

Newt Gingrich again said the United States would be hit by a nuclear weapon and he blamed North Korea and Iran for it.

Newt Gingrich needs to be investigated for his pre-knowledge of events that 5 federal reserve banks have already been caught supporting...a nuke attack on the US

Okay, CFR, you want America to be afraid of Iran again?

Fine, who the F has been supplying Iran with their weapons for the past 40 years?

Who has been caught laundering money for nuke sales to Iran?

The Manhattan district attorney's office has smashed a sinister plot to smuggle nuclear weapons materials to Iran through unwitting New York banks, the Daily News has learned. Officials plan to unseal a 118-count indictment Tuesday accusing a Chinese national of setting up a handful of fake companies to hide that he was selling millions of dollars in potential nuclear materials to Tehran. "This case will cut off a major source of supply to Iran and it shows how they are going ahead full steam to get a nuclear bomb. Long-range missiles they pretty much have already," a law enforcement source close to the case said. "We think it is one of the largest suppliers of weapons of mass destruction to Iran." Experts say Iran, under the leadership of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, appears close to amassing enough nuclear material to make an atom bomb. A United Nations embargo bans Iran from acquiring the high-tech metals needed to make a long-range nuclear weapon a reality. The indictment will outline the financial conspiracy behind 58 different transactions, including shipments of various banned materials from China to Iran between 2006 and late 2008.

Among them:

    * 33,000 pounds of a specialized aluminum alloy used almost exclusively in long-range missile production.
    * 66,000 pounds of tungsten copper plate, which is used in missile guidance systems.
    * 53,900 pounds of maraging steel rods, a superhard metal used in uranium enrichment and to make the casings for nuclear bombs.

The recipient is believed to have been a subsidiary of the Iranian Defense Ministry. The suspect, who is not believed to be in the U.S., set up four bogus import-export companies that did business with six Iranian shell firms, one source said. "They took elaborate steps to conceal the identity of the shipper and the recipient," the source said. The deals went through "several" New York banks, which cooperated when the alleged plot was uncovered. "The New York banks were completely unaware," the source said. Authorities first stumbled over the scheme seven months ago in an unrelated probe into Iranian money-laundering through Lloyd's, a British bank. In January, Lloyd's paid a $350 million fine to settle accusations it "stripped" information from Iranian money transfers to New York banks, hiding where the cash came from. Officials said they suspected that money was also used to finance Iran's nuke program. "The important thing is to put sunlight on these deals," the law enforcement source said.

* U.S. hits six Iranian companies hit with sanctions
* Chinese executive and his company indicted in New York
* Money channeled through U.S., European banks (Combines stories about indictment and sanctions)

By David Lawder and Edith Honan

WASHINGTON/NEW YORK, April 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. government on Tuesday slapped sanctions on a Chinese metals company and six Iranian companies suspected of collaborating on a scheme to transfer missile and nuclear technology from China to Iran.

A New York grand jury also indicted the Chinese metals company, LIMMT Economic and Trade Co Ltd, and its manager, Lee Fangwei, on 118 counts including suspicion of shipping 33,000 pounds (15,000 kg) of specialized aluminum alloy used for long-range missile production from China to Iran. Lee was charged with the suspected misuse of Manhattan banks employed to transfer money between China and Iran by way of Europe and the United States. The actions by the U.S. Treasury Department and a grand jury convened by the New York state prosecutor in Manhattan come as the United States has sought tougher U.N. sanctions against Iran to halt its nuclear program, which Western nations believe is designed for making weapons. Tehran says the program is aimed at increasing its civilian power capacity. China is bound by three U.N. Security Council sanctions resolutions forbidding support for or contact with individuals or companies linked to Iran's missile and nuclear programs. China and Russia reluctantly backed all three resolutions and say they are complying with sanctions. But U.N. diplomats say a number of Chinese, Russian and Western firms have continued to try to skirt the restrictions on selling sensitive technology to Iran. "Materials may be dual-use, but when they are sent to front companies set up by the Iranian military, and the defendants use false end-user certificates and dummy names, there's not much doubt that the use is for weapons," Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau told reporters. Morgenthau also said he would request the arrest and extradition of Lee, also known as Karl Lee and by several other aliases, from the Chinese government. He is believed to be at large in China.

SUSPECTED FIRMS BLACKLISTED

Morgenthau identified the U.S. banks as Citibank (C.N), JPMorgan Chase (JPM.N), Wachovia Bank/Wells Fargo Standard Centered Bank (WFC.N), Bank of America (BAC.N) and The Bank of New York Mellon (BK.N) but he declined to identify the European banks.

Morgenthau identified the U.S. banks as

JPMorgan Chase (JPM.N),
Wachovia Bank/Wells Fargo Standard Centered Bank (WFC.N),
Bank of America (BAC.N) and

Perry got fully exposed as the murder for hire, toxic, child-killing corporatist villan that he is and these psych-op professionals are talking about jobs.  The cognative dissonance required to accept these twisted pressers is getting greater and greater.  More and more, the waffeling uninformed will silmply begin to ask questions and people like Perry do more to hurt the NWO's PR game then help it.

Dick Cheney Sold Iranian Oil Company Key Nuclear Reactor Components, Sources Say
http://worldnewstrust.org/modules/AMS/article.php?story...
August 05, 2005 By: Jason Leopold Independent Media TV

Scandal-plagued Halliburton -- the oil services company once headed by Vice President Cheney -- sold an Iranian oil development company key components for a nuclear reactor, say Halliburton sources with intimate knowledge into both companies' business dealings. Halliburton was secretly working at the time with one of Iran 's top nuclear program officials on natural gas related projects and sold the components in April to the official's oil development company, the sources said.
SNIP…
Now comes word that Halliburton, which has a long history of flouting U.S. law by conducting business with countries the Bush administration said has ties to terrorism, was working with Cyrus Nasseri, vice chairman of the board of directors of Oriental Oil Kish, one of Iran's largest private oil companies, on oil and natural gas development projects in Tehran. Nasseri is also a key member of Iran's nuclear development team and has been negotiating Iran 's nuclear development issues with the European Union and at the International Atomic Energy Agency.
SNIP…
Nasseri was interrogated by Iranian authorities in late July for allegedly providing Halliburton with Iran 's nuclear secrets and accepting as much as $1 million in bribes from Halliburton, Iranian government officials said. During the first round of interrogations in the judiciary, a huge network of oil mafia has been exposed, according to the IPS report.

If you want to get round export controls, just sell the product to a front company in Dubai. The middlemen will take it from there. On paper the shipment was harmless enough. Sixty-six American-made spark gaps--high-speed electrical switches used in medical devices to break up kidney stones--traveled from the manufacturer in Salem, Massachusetts late last summer to a buyer in Secaucus, New Jersey. From there, according to the export declaration, they were to be shipped to their ultimate destination in Cape Town, South Africa. But these spark gaps can also be used to detonate nuclear bombs--and it turned out that the goods were aimed at an end user in Pakistan, with a stopover in Dubai. The commercial capital of the United Arab Emirates, where trading activity accounts for the biggest single chunk (16.5%) of a $20 billion economy, has become a favorite diversion point on the Persian Gulf for shady cargo. With no export controls and hardly any bureaucracy at ports, airports and free zones, this entrepôt provides stellar cover for smugglers hoping to bypass U.S. embargoes.

Everyone vote for bachman.
It's CNN, home of the controlled left, so of course they won't have Paul on it. I really didn't expect them to.

Ron Paul is absolutley mopping up the rest in every single one with the one excepetion of voicemyvote which is so small so far it is still to hard to say and the CNN one shown does not even list PAUL, it asks who is most likely to win, Bachman Perry or Romney. ::)
I think that is this same poll I was pointing out earlier, however I do not believe it is the official cnn poll as that is cnn international and we want the one from cnn/polotics I think.

ROTHSCHILD'S AP AND AOL'S TIME MAG HAVE ALREADY DECLARED THE NEXT PRESIDENT
(WTF?)

Perry Assailed by Gop Rivals, Defends His Record
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,2093036,00.html
By AP / CHARLES BABINGTON Monday, Sept. 12, 2011

(TAMPA, Fla.) — Attacked from all sides by fellow Republicans, Texas Gov. Rick Perry softened his rhetoric if not his position on Social Security in a snarky presidential campaign debate Monday night. He fended off assaults on his record creating jobs and requiring the vaccination of schoolgirls against a cancer-causing sexually transmitted virus.  Across a crackling two-hour debate, the front-runner in opinion polls gave little ground and frequently jabbed back, particularly at his chief rival, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.  But the criticism of Perry kept coming — from Romney on Social Security, from Texas Rep. Ron Paul saying the governor had raised taxes, from Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Sen. Rick Santorum assailing his executive order to require Texas schoolgirls to get a STD vaccine. (See a TIME video with Rick Perry.) It marked the first time in the summer debates that internal Republican differences dominated rather than a common eagerness to unseat Democratic President Barack Obama.  Especially on Social Security.  "A program that's been there 70 or 80 years, obviously we're not going to take that away," Perry said in the debate's opening moments as Romney pressed him on his earlier statements questioning the constitutionality of Social Security and calling it a Ponzi scheme.  The Texas governor counter-attacked quickly, accusing Romney of "trying to scare seniors" with his own comments on a program that tens of millions of Americans — including millions in the debate state of Florida alone — rely on for part or all of their retirement income.  The eight rivals shared a debate stage for the second time in less than a week, a pace that marked a quickening in the campaign to choose a challenger to President Barack Obama in 2012. The encounter was sponsored by tea party groups — the conservative voters who propelled the GOP to victory in the 2010 congressional elections, and by CNN.  There was no doubt which side the debate audience was on, though. Santorum drew loud applause when he said the current economy "would have to make a dramatic improvement just to be a disaster."

The debate unfolded in the city where Republicans will gather next summer to bestow the party nomination on a challenger to Obama.  Bachmann said she had "brought the voice of the tea party to the United States Congress as a founder of the tea party caucus."  Perry said he was glad to be at the debate with the Tea Party Express.  But it soon became clear that the presidential hopefuls were not only eager to court support from the most conservative voters but were anxious not to offend seniors and others who depend on Social Security and Medicare. None of the three who have gotten the most support so far this year — Perry, Romney and Bachmann — said they favored repealing the prescription drug benefit in Medicare, which has a large unfunded liability. Paul, asked the same question, turned his answer to a call for ending the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as ways to save money.  In the debate's first few moments, Perry and Bachmann courted the support of tea party activists.  Bachmann said she had "brought the voice of the tea party to the United States Congress as a founder of the tea party caucus."  Perry said he was glad to be at the debate with the Tea Party Express.  So much for the niceties.

Within minutes, Romney moved aggressively to press Perry on Social Security, saying the front-runner had previously called it a Ponzi Scheme, an absolute failure and unconstitutional.  Perry did not dispute the characterization. In his recent book he called the retirement income program an example of a federal initiative that is "violently tossing aside any respect for our founding principles of federalism and limited government."  Monday night, he said retirees and near-retirees are assured of receiving the benefits they've been promised — and should be — but changes are needed to make sure younger workers have any sort of benefit when they near retirement.  Romney wasn't satisfied with that, quoting others as saying the Texas governor's position on Social Security could spell defeat for the party as it tries to win the White House from Obama next year. Repeatedly, he pressed Perry to say whether he believes the program is unconstitutional. Just as insistently, Perry ducked.  Then he countered, quoting Romney as having said in his own book that if people did with their financing what had been done with Social Security receipts it would be a criminal offense.  "You've got to quote me correctly," Romney responded. "What I said was taking money out of the Social Security trust fund is criminal and it's wrong."  Social Security benefits are financed through a payroll tax that workers and their employers pay. According to the most recent independent forecasts, unless Congress enacts changes, benefits will have to be cut beginning in 2037.

Bachmann and Santorum were the aggressors when the topic turned to an executive order Perry signed in 2007 requiring the vaccination of Texas schoolgirls against STD.  Bachmann, whose candidacy surged and then fell back in the polls in less than a month, said that "to have innocent little 12-year-old girls be forced to have a government injection through an executive order is just flat out wrong. That should never be done. It's a violation of a liberty interest."  Perry said, as he has before, that it was a mistake to issue an executive order on the issue, but he defended wanting to have the vaccinations take effect.  Bachman didn't stop there. She said that "a big drug company that made millions of dollars because of this mandate" also had made a campaign contribution to Perry in Texas.  "The company was Merck, and it was a $5,000 contribution that I had received from them. I raise about $30 million. And if you're saying that I can be bought for $5,000, I'm offended," Perry retorted.  There was a brief letup in the crossfire when the subject of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke — no favorite of Republicans — came up.  Perry stood behind his recent comments that it would be treasonous if the Fed were printing money for political reasons.  Romney let it pass, as did the others on stage.

These articles are pre written and they just fill in some quotes, how the hell is it possible to write such horse shit so fast?

Does everyone realize how scared to death the Bilderberg Nazis are of their own shadow? Only a cowardly piece of crap would actually be so petrified as to not include a candidate in the poll. They already own over 99% of the MSM, but that is not enough, they need to own more, more, more.

Even with that 99% they feel as if they are defeated.

What that means is that all we have to do is continue to speak truth everywhere and they will go absolutely insane. They feel as if one sentence of truth will cause them to evaporate, wtf? Must be a total hell hole they live in. Talk about outlandish conspiracy theorists.

Analysis: Michele Bachmann Wins Tea Party Debate
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/09/analysis-michele-bachmann-wins-tea-party-debate/
Sep 12, 2011 11:05pm

With her standing in the polls slipping, Michele Bachmann needed to find a way to capture the spotlight she held earlier this summer. She just may have done that tonight at the Tea Party Express/CNN debate in Tampa, Florida. Bachmann, the founder of the Tea Party Caucus in the House, knew her audience well and it showed. Unlike former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Bachmann took a pass at criticizing front-runner Texas Gov. Perry on Social Security and she refused to weigh in on Perry’s comment last month that  Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke may be “treasonous.” Instead she waited patiently to pounce on Perry when the debate turned to the issues she knew would connect with the audience in the hall. She attacked Perry for his decision to require HPV vaccinations in Texas, calling it “a government injection through executive order” and a “violation of a liberty interest.” She knows that while the Tea Party activists are not fans of the federal government, they don’t love big business either. “We cannot forget that in the midst of this executive order,” said Bachmann, “there was a big drug company that made millions of dollars because of this mandate…The drug company gave thousands of dollars in political donations to the governor and this is just flat out wrong” She also attacked Perry on illegal immigration – another issue that plays well in a GOP primary.

Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if this performance will have any effect on her poll standing. Bachmann’s weakness has been her inability to prove she can expand her appeal beyond her Tea Party base. This debate performance only reinforced that perception . Perry is learning why it’s no fun being the front-runner. He was under attack from all sides: Mitt Romney on Social Security; Ron Paul on taxes; Bachmann and Santorum on HPV and Bachmann on immigration. The crowd initially stood behind the Texas Governor – cheering him on during his defense of his jobs record and Social Security positioning. But as the debate wore on, Perry was clearly exhausted by having to play defense for almost two hours and the crowd seemed weary of him too. The question now is how much more pummeling can the Texas Governor take before it starts to take a toll? There’s another debate in Florida less than two weeks from today. Can Perry get back on offense during that one?Romney, meanwhile was speaking beyond the room not to the room. His attacks on Perry’s record on job creation fell flat – even eliciting a few boos among the audience. And, while many pundits – Democrat and Republican – have called Perry’s “Ponzi scheme” description of Social Security problematic, it wasn’t much of an issue among this crowd. Finally, no one looked more out of place on that stage than Jon Huntsman. He showed zero ability to connect with the audience. Even his attempts at jokes fell flat.

I wouldn`t go as far to say she won. Maybe if every other word out her mouth was not “Obama care”, “Obama Care”, Obama Care”.. We get it Michelle. She did better than the old married couple, Romney, Perry. Perry actually acknowledged, He could not be bought for 5k. A better course of action, Would be to say, He could not be bought period. But slick Rick loves to slip… Herman Cain “999″, “999″. Bachmann did better than Cain. Huntsman sounded like he wanted to start a kumbaya circle. The rest of them, Sounded the same. Living up to the name 7 dwarfs. Switching up principals to fit agenda. You know Ron Paul won. He might have got booed by the war mongers, Most of whom have never fought in a war. But i have to support the consistent one. Who knows what the rest of them will be saying next week, Let alone next year.

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who gets right to the CORE of every problem. That’s why the MSM and the career politicians don’t want him to be the candidate: HE will truly change the status-quo. Since we’ll be stuck with an inferior candidate, we can just write off the U.S. right now because we are at a turning point and there isn’t time for any more political games.

I agree with Robta….she came across to me as a candidate with no substance. Skimmed the edges of the debate and offered nothing deep and consistent. Wants the government to not interfere with individual rights, then mentioned nothing about why she would like them to step in and not allow abortions though. She sounded like a babbling baffoon. Can’t tell the gov’t to stay out of private lives one minute then interject them in another. Mitt owned this debate.

Should Rick Perry File a Police Report?
http://blogs.cbn.com/thebrodyfile/archive/2011/09/12/should-rick-perry-file-a-police-report.aspx

I’m checking for blood. Rick Perry got beat up tonight in Tampa Florida at the CNN/Tea Party Express debate. Is anyone going to file a police report? Mitt Romney took shots at Perry on social security and his record of job creation in Texas. Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul piled on when it came to the HPV vaccine issue. On immigration, the candidates to it to Perry as well. The problem for the Texas Governor is he’s got incoming missiles bombarding him from all sides. It’s inevitable that his poll numbers will probably begin to dip. The good news for Perry is that he is believable and comfortable in his own skin. In other words, Perry’s authenticity and growing national reputation as a straight shooter will help him when he tries to explain some of these issues. While voters may not agree with him, he will at least look like he’s not running away from his record and turning into the cowardly lion. That’s just NOT Rick Perry. Perry is going to have some challenging times ahead and this race will probably tighten as the months progress but remember this. The Tea Party led Republican electorate is in a mood for a no-nonsense, tell it like it is bold nominee. As much as the other candidates try and peck away at his conservative credentials, Perry’s record of job creation will still stand and that may be his ultimate trump card.

They are basically saying:

Rick Perry lacks any presidential skills whatsoever such that a team of morons can expose his failure as a human being...but...we still love Bilderberg so vote for him!

News reports over the last hour with the names and numbers of news articles:

Ron Paul 5,890

Rick Perry 24,700

Mitt Romney 13,200

Michelle Bachmann 9,850

OF COURSE THERE IS NO CONSPIRACY! WTF?

And most of the Ron Paul articles say he wants to let uninsured die (which he never said, he explained how more are dying with this current unfair system regulated by beurocrats who are not healthcare experts then one based on individual human rights).

Quick vote
Did Rick Perry's debate performance solidify his front-runner status for the GOP presidential nomination?
No
78%
4740
Yes
22%
1365
Total votes: 6105

Kind of a stupid question given that Ron Paul came out as the front runner after the last debate. ;D

Last week, it was a California audience at the GOP debate erupting in applause at the mention that Gov. Rick Perry had presided over 234 executions.

In Florida, there were at least a couple of shouts of “Yes” when Texas congressman Ron Paul was asked whether a hypothetical healthy 30-year-old man who opted against insurance but developed a life-threatening condition should be allowed to die by society.

Paul, a physician, didn’t say he should — although he did say a bit earlier in the questioning that such an individual should take responsibility for his choices rather than expecting government to do so.

Instead of death as the ultimate result of an unfortunate choice, however, Paul said he had practiced medicine “before we had Medicaid” in San Antonio and that there’s another way.

“The churches took care of ‘em. We never turned anybody away from the hospitals,” he said, suggesting that society seems to have given up on people assuming responsibility for themselves: “Our neighbors, friends, churches would do it.”

The shouts constituted one of the most memorable moments in a debate that had more than a few. Among others:

that is the one article that they have on top of every search about Ron Paul...guess what...it will backfire, everybody knows that for over 150 years, no one was denied healthcare in the US except when the government was involved (Tuskeegee experiment comes to mind), but with a socialized system all you have is rising costs for all and rationing for all.

Wolf Blitzer thought he nailed Ron Paul with the scary "but he cannot afford care" bullshit.

Hey Wolf, you helped lead this country into illegal wars which have killed over 15,000 American soldiers and over 1 million Iraqis.

that is the one article that they have on top of every search about Ron Paul...guess what...it will backfire, everybody knows that for over 150 years, no one was denied healthcare in the US except when the government was involved (Tuskeegee experiment comes to mind), but with a socialized system all you have is rising costs for all and rationing for all.

Wolf Blitzer thought he nailed Ron Paul with the scary "but he cannot afford care" bullshit.

Hey Wolf, you helped lead this country into illegal wars which have killed over 15,000 American soldiers and over 1 million Iraqis.

Hey Wolf, why did you help murder over 1 million innocent people, why did you let them die?

Hey Wolf, how does it feel to have the curtain removed and everyone see you naked as you are, the corporate usurpers main propaganda mouthpiece and accessory to the murder of millions...

...Hmmm... sure is a teeny little wee-wee you have there Wolf...

OMG "Someone else" is stealing the Republican votes again!

Cross post it all over the net as a controlled poll:  Perry, Romney, Bachman only choices in WSJ poll, all other GOP candidates reduced to a singular 'other',... and don't vote in it until the add all other candidates (yes including Dr. Paul).

WTF!!! Its so f**king blatantly obvious how the establishment is attacking Ron Paul.

All these puppets started copying him and then CNN has the nerve to skip over Ron during a question about the Fed?

This is from the comments.  ;)

I have to say that Dr Paul definitely has a very good shot at the Presidency. The comments speak for themselves. The more they marginalize Ron Paul the more people are paying attention. The tide has turned. Truth is such a stranger to the other candidates that Ron Paul stands out a mile when he speaks.

Ron Paul: Time to stop spending trillions on war
http://www.cbsnews.com/
By Lucy Madison September 12, 2011 9:28 PM

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul said Monday that America could save trillions of dollars if the country cut funding from wars - "and all the nonsense that we do around the world." The Texas Representative argued in Monday's Republican presidential debate that, rather than eliminating programs like Social Security and prescription drug benefits for seniors, America could reduce trillions' worth of spending in conflicts abroad . "I agree that Social Security is broke. We spent all the money and it's on its last legs unless we do something," Paul said, when asked if he thought Social Security was a "Ponzi scheme" - a phrase his GOP contender and fellow Texan Rick Perry has used to describe the entitlement program. But Paul stopped short of suggesting Social Security should be eliminated, noting instead that "One bill that I had in congress never got passed was to prevent the congress from spending any of that money on the wars and all the nonsense that we do around the world." Indeed, when asked about repealing a prescription drug benefit plan for seniors, Paul said that despite his initial opposition to the plan, its repeal "sure wouldn't be on my high list" when there were cuts to be found elsewhere. "We should never have started it; I voted against it," Paul said, of the program. "But that sure wouldn't be on my high list."  "I'd find a lot of cuts a lot of other places," he said. "As a matter of fact, on Social Security, it is already being reformed because the cost of living increases aren't there, so the value is going down. So no, there's places we should cut." He continued: "I'm not sure I can get anybody to agree with me on this panel, but we spend $1.5 trillion overseas in wars that we don't need to be in and we need to cut there."

On the left and the right, the American people only have one anti-war candidate available!

Audience at tea party debate cheers leaving uninsured to die
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/audience-tea-party-debate-cheers-leaving-uninsured-die-163216817.html

If you're uninsured and on the brink of death, that's apparently a laughing matter to some audience members at last night's tea party Republican presidential debate.

Texas Rep. Ron Paul, a doctor, was asked a hypothetical question by CNN host Wolf Blitzer about how society should respond if a healthy 30-year-old man who decided against buying health insurance suddenly goes into a coma and requires intensive care for six months. Paul--a fierce limited-government advocate-- said it shouldn't be the government's responsibility. "That's what freedom is all about, taking your own risks," Paul said and was drowned out by audience applause as he added, "this whole idea that you have to prepare to take care of everybody…"

"Are you saying that society should just let him die?" Blitzer pressed Paul. And that's when the audience got involved.

Several loud cheers of "yeah!" followed by laughter could be heard in the Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds in response to Blitzer's question.

You can watch the exchange below via CNN-- the clip begins at the 23:30 mark:

Paul disagreed with the audience on that front. "No," he responded, noting he practiced medicine before Medicaid when churches took care of medical costs--a comment that drew wide audience applause. "We never turned anybody away from the hospital."

Paul voiced support for legalizing alternative health care and argued that the reason medical costs have skyrocketed is that individuals have stopped taking personal responsibility for their health care.

Though Paul spoke to the larger issue of health care and government-backed health insurance--both pivotal issues in the 2012 election--the audience's reaction has overshadowed the substance of the exchange on the debate podium. And the day after the event, Texas Gov. Rick Perry offered his own criticism of the audience response.
(Continued at link)

Looking at the front page of Yahoo, and reading the headline could make you think Ron Paul supports killing the uninsured, which is the opposite of what he actually said.  Of course, they point that out several paragraphs in...and just below the "clip" box.

I read this article the other day and it left me wondering why they would even mention Ron Paul and ending the wars.

I'm always expecting omissions and propaganda tricks from the MSM when they report on this stuff.

I just don't trust CBS or any of our corporate media for that matter.

The audience did not cheer leaving the uninsured to die. They cheered a principaled politician who would not be manipulated by emotion-based hypotheticals.

That is what they were cheering, a man who stands for true liberty and who will not fall for Wolf Blitzer's bullshit, especially when Wolf helped kill over 1 million Iraqis by leading us to illegal wars!

Anyone who LISTENS FOR THEMSELVES will hear that they don't cheer for that at all. Ron makes a statement about LIBERTY and they cheer THAT statement. Then the mod asks if 'We should let them die ?' and ONE or TWO idiots scream 'YEAH!!', and NOBODY cheers.

Total bleeding heart spin doctor BS, no conservative takes yahoo's spin jobs seriously.
