This movie is in the horror genre - not a place you'd expect to find any profound messages. But this one is different. It's a French horror movie called Martyrs, and it's the most horrifying horror movie I've ever seen. It's a real ordeal just to watch it. Why am I recommending it then, you ask? The reason this movie is so scary is because it's about the true horror (and truth is surely stranger and more horrible than fiction) of the mentality of our secret rulers. It's about an illuminati-like cult who sacrifice human lives in the must inconceivably grotesque manner in the pursuit of esoteric knowledge. Really, the way their victims are treated is symbolic of what they are doing to humanity at large (sickening us, dumbing us down, sterilizing us, poisoning us - treating us like rejected farm animals), and that is the truly horrifying aspect of this movie. It made a deep impact on me. I got it off the file sharing networks.
