In each issue of wired magazine this yeah, they will be having a segment at the end of each issue showing "possible future tech", and some, like this one especially are quite eerily real, and sooner then one would think.

I'm a Wired subscriber and so I saw that one. My immediate impression was that was a particularly poorly conceived installment of that feature. It plays into the already exaggerated fears regarding child safety. That's something you'd expect from Oprah Winfrey or Nancy Grace. I've noticed that Wired isn't nearly as edgy as it used to be. In fact, it's a little boring and middle-of-the-road now. They must be going after a different demographic!!!  Grin
