did you guys SEE this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_9XarTnnWM

is Al Qaeda REALLY in 50 or 60 other countries? or is this an UNOFFICIAL description of how many more countries the global elite will trounce?

f**kin' Hell.

Since technically Al Qaeda is the CIA  in truth  and the CIA operates in nearly every country around the globe .... We can safely assume that he is correct..... Al CIAda is nearly everywhere. He is not making a statement of what will happen, merely of what has been ongoing for a very long time.
If any one has any doubt about the fact that Al Qaeda is a CIA front operation please watch "Fabled Enemies" http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2144933190875239407 till it sinks in ....

Here is a list of CIA operations from it's inception in 1929 up until just 1993 showing they have their hands in nearly every political pot around the globe -so to speak.

A Timeline of CIA Atrocities

By Steve Kangas

The following timeline describes just a few of the hundreds of atrocities and crimes committed by the CIA. (1)

CIA operations follow the same recurring script. First, American business interests abroad are threatened by a popular or democratically elected leader. The people support their leader because he intends to conduct land reform, strengthen unions, redistribute wealth, nationalize foreign-owned industry, and regulate business to protect workers, consumers and the environment. So, on behalf of American business, and often with their help, the CIA mobilizes the opposition. First it identifies right-wing groups within the country (usually the military), and offers them a deal: "We'll put you in power if you maintain a favorable business climate for us." The Agency then hires, trains and works with them to overthrow the existing government (usually a democracy). It uses every trick in the book: propaganda, stuffed ballot boxes, purchased elections, extortion, blackmail, sexual intrigue, false stories about opponents in the local media, infiltration and disruption of opposing political parties, kidnapping, beating, torture, intimidation, economic sabotage, death squads and even assassination. These efforts culminate in a military coup, which installs a right-wing dictator. The CIA trains the dictator’s security apparatus to crack down on the traditional enemies of big business, using interrogation, torture and murder. The victims are said to be "communists," but almost always they are just peasants, liberals, moderates, labor union leaders, political opponents and advocates of free speech and democracy. Widespread human rights abuses follow.

This scenario has been repeated so many times that the CIA actually teaches it in a special school, the notorious "School of the Americas." (It opened in Panama but later moved to Fort Benning, Georgia.) Critics have nicknamed it the "School of the Dictators" and "School of the Assassins." Here, the CIA trains Latin American military officers how to conduct coups, including the use of interrogation, torture and murder.

The Association for Responsible Dissent estimates that by 1987, 6 million people had died as a result of CIA covert operations. (2) Former State Department official William Blum correctly calls this an "American Holocaust."

The CIA justifies these actions as part of its war against communism. But most coups do not involve a communist threat. Unlucky nations are targeted for a wide variety of reasons: not only threats to American business interests abroad, but also liberal or even moderate social reforms, political instability, the unwillingness of a leader to carry out Washington’s dictates, and declarations of neutrality in the Cold War. Indeed, nothing has infuriated CIA Directors quite like a nation’s desire to stay out of the Cold War.

The ironic thing about all this intervention is that it frequently fails to achieve American objectives. Often the newly installed dictator grows comfortable with the security apparatus the CIA has built for him. He becomes an expert at running a police state. And because the dictator knows he cannot be overthrown, he becomes independent and defiant of Washington's will. The CIA then finds it cannot overthrow him, because the police and military are under the dictator's control, afraid to cooperate with American spies for fear of torture and execution. The only two options for the U.S at this point are impotence or war. Examples of this "boomerang effect" include the Shah of Iran, General Noriega and Saddam Hussein. The boomerang effect also explains why the CIA has proven highly successful at overthrowing democracies, but a wretched failure at overthrowing dictatorships.

The following timeline should confirm that the CIA as we know it should be abolished and replaced by a true information-gathering and analysis organization. The CIA cannot be reformed — it is institutionally and culturally corrupt.

1929

The culture we lost — Secretary of State Henry Stimson refuses to endorse a code-breaking operation, saying, "Gentlemen do not read each other’s mail."

1941

COI created — In preparation for World War II, President Roosevelt creates the Office of Coordinator of Information (COI). General William "Wild Bill" Donovan heads the new intelligence service.

1942

OSS created — Roosevelt restructures COI into something more suitable for covert action, the Office of Strategic Services (OSS). Donovan recruits so many of the nation’s rich and powerful that eventually people joke that "OSS" stands for "Oh, so social!" or "Oh, such snobs!"

1943

Italy — Donovan recruits the Catholic Church in Rome to be the center of Anglo-American spy operations in Fascist Italy. This would prove to be one of America’s most enduring intelligence alliances in the Cold War.

1945

OSS is abolished — The remaining American information agencies cease covert actions and return to harmless information gathering and analysis.

Operation PAPERCLIP – While other American agencies are hunting down Nazi war criminals for arrest, the U.S. intelligence community is smuggling them into America, unpunished, for their use against the Soviets. The most important of these is Reinhard Gehlen, Hitler’s master spy who had built up an intelligence network in the Soviet Union. With full U.S. blessing, he creates the "Gehlen Organization," a band of refugee Nazi spies who reactivate their networks in Russia. These include SS intelligence officers Alfred Six and Emil Augsburg (who massacred Jews in the Holocaust), Klaus Barbie (the "Butcher of Lyon"), Otto von Bolschwing (the Holocaust mastermind who worked with Eichmann) and SS Colonel Otto Skorzeny (a personal friend of Hitler’s). The Gehlen Organization supplies the U.S. with its only intelligence on the Soviet Union for the next ten years, serving as a bridge between the abolishment of the OSS and the creation of the CIA. However, much of the "intelligence" the former Nazis provide is bogus. Gehlen inflates Soviet military capabilities at a time when Russia is still rebuilding its devastated society, in order to inflate his own importance to the Americans (who might otherwise punish him). In 1948, Gehlen almost convinces the Americans that war is imminent, and the West should make a preemptive strike. In the 50s he produces a fictitious "missile gap." To make matters worse, the Russians have thoroughly penetrated the Gehlen Organization with double agents, undermining the very American security that Gehlen was supposed to protect.

1947

Greece — President Truman requests military aid to Greece to support right-wing forces fighting communist rebels. For the rest of the Cold War, Washington and the CIA will back notorious Greek leaders with deplorable human rights records.

CIA created — President Truman signs the National Security Act of 1947, creating the Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Council. The CIA is accountable to the president through the NSC — there is no democratic or congressional oversight. Its charter allows the CIA to "perform such other functions and duties… as the National Security Council may from time to time direct." This loophole opens the door to covert action and dirty tricks.

1948

Covert-action wing created — The CIA recreates a covert action wing, innocuously called the Office of Policy Coordination, led by Wall Street lawyer Frank Wisner. According to its secret charter, its responsibilities include "propaganda, economic warfare, preventive direct action, including sabotage, antisabotage, demolition and evacuation procedures; subversion against hostile states, including assistance to underground resistance groups, and support of indigenous anti-communist elements in threatened countries of the free world."

Italy — The CIA corrupts democratic elections in Italy, where Italian communists threaten to win the elections. The CIA buys votes, broadcasts propaganda, threatens and beats up opposition leaders, and infiltrates and disrupts their organizations. It works -- the communists are defeated.

1949

Radio Free Europe — The CIA creates its first major propaganda outlet, Radio Free Europe. Over the next several decades, its broadcasts are so blatantly false that for a time it is considered illegal to publish transcripts of them in the U.S.

Late 40s

Operation MOCKINGBIRD — The CIA begins recruiting American news organizations and journalists to become spies and disseminators of propaganda. The effort is headed by Frank Wisner, Allan Dulles, Richard Helms and Philip Graham. Graham is publisher of The Washington Post, which becomes a major CIA player. Eventually, the CIA’s media assets will include ABC, NBC, CBS, Time, Newsweek, Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps-Howard, Copley News Service and more. By the CIA’s own admission, at least 25 organizations and 400 journalists will become CIA assets.

1953

Iran – CIA overthrows the democratically elected Mohammed Mossadegh in a military coup, after he threatened to nationalize British oil. The CIA replaces him with a dictator, the Shah of Iran, whose secret police, SAVAK, is as brutal as the Gestapo.

Operation MK-ULTRA — Inspired by North Korea’s brainwashing program, the CIA begins experiments on mind control. The most notorious part of this project involves giving LSD and other drugs to American subjects without their knowledge or against their will, causing several to commit suicide. However, the operation involves far more than this. Funded in part by the Rockefeller and Ford foundations, research includes propaganda, brainwashing, public relations, advertising, hypnosis, and other forms of suggestion.

1954

Guatemala — CIA overthrows the democratically elected Jacob Arbenz in a military coup. Arbenz has threatened to nationalize the Rockefeller-owned United Fruit Company, in which CIA Director Allen Dulles also owns stock. Arbenz is replaced with a series of right-wing dictators whose bloodthirsty policies will kill over 100,000 Guatemalans in the next 40 years.

1954-1958

North Vietnam — CIA officer Edward Lansdale spends four years trying to overthrow the communist government of North Vietnam, using all the usual dirty tricks. The CIA also attempts to legitimize a tyrannical puppet regime in South Vietnam, headed by Ngo Dinh Diem. These efforts fail to win the hearts and minds of the South Vietnamese because the Diem government is opposed to true democracy, land reform and poverty reduction measures. The CIA’s continuing failure results in escalating American intervention, culminating in the Vietnam War.

1956

Hungary — Radio Free Europe incites Hungary to revolt by broadcasting Khruschev’s Secret Speech, in which he denounced Stalin. It also hints that American aid will help the Hungarians fight. This aid fails to materialize as Hungarians launch a doomed armed revolt, which only invites a major Soviet invasion. The conflict kills 7,000 Soviets and 30,000 Hungarians.

1957-1973

Laos — The CIA carries out approximately one coup per year trying to nullify Laos’ democratic elections. The problem is the Pathet Lao, a leftist group with enough popular support to be a member of any coalition government. In the late 50s, the CIA even creates an "Armee Clandestine" of Asian mercenaries to attack the Pathet Lao. After the CIA’s army suffers numerous defeats, the U.S. starts bombing, dropping more bombs on Laos than all the U.S. bombs dropped in World War II. A quarter of all Laotians will eventually become refugees, many living in caves.

1959

Haiti — The U.S. military helps "Papa Doc" Duvalier become dictator of Haiti. He creates his own private police force, the "Tonton Macoutes," who terrorize the population with machetes. They will kill over 100,000 during the Duvalier family reign. The U.S. does not protest their dismal human rights record.

1961

The Bay of Pigs — The CIA sends 1,500 Cuban exiles to invade Castro’s Cuba. But "Operation Mongoose" fails, due to poor planning, security and backing. The planners had imagined that the invasion will spark a popular uprising against Castro -– which never happens. A promised American air strike also never occurs. This is the CIA’s first public setback, causing President Kennedy to fire CIA Director Allen Dulles.

Dominican Republic — The CIA assassinates Rafael Trujillo, a murderous dictator Washington has supported since 1930. Trujillo’s business interests have grown so large (about 60 percent of the economy) that they have begun competing with American business interests.

Ecuador — The CIA-backed military forces the democratically elected President Jose Velasco to resign. Vice President Carlos Arosemana replaces him; the CIA fills the now vacant vice presidency with its own man.

Congo (Zaire) — The CIA assassinates the democratically elected Patrice Lumumba. However, public support for Lumumba’s politics runs so high that the CIA cannot clearly install his opponents in power. Four years of political turmoil follow.

1963

Dominican Republic — The CIA overthrows the democratically elected Juan Bosch in a military coup. The CIA installs a repressive, right-wing junta.

Ecuador — A CIA-backed military coup overthrows President Arosemana, whose independent (not socialist) policies have become unacceptable to Washington. A military junta assumes command, cancels the 1964 elections, and begins abusing human rights.

1964

Brazil — A CIA-backed military coup overthrows the democratically elected government of Joao Goulart. The junta that replaces it will, in the next two decades, become one of the most bloodthirsty in history. General Castelo Branco will create Latin America’s first death squads, or bands of secret police who hunt down "communists" for torture, interrogation and murder. Often these "communists" are no more than Branco’s political opponents. Later it is revealed that the CIA trains the death squads.

1965

Indonesia — The CIA overthrows the democratically elected Sukarno with a military coup. The CIA has been trying to eliminate Sukarno since 1957, using everything from attempted assassination to sexual intrigue, for nothing more than his declaring neutrality in the Cold War. His successor, General Suharto, will massacre between 500,000 to 1 million civilians accused of being "communist." The CIA supplies the names of countless suspects.

Dominican Republic — A popular rebellion breaks out, promising to reinstall Juan Bosch as the country’s elected leader. The revolution is crushed when U.S. Marines land to uphold the military regime by force. The CIA directs everything behind the scenes.

Greece — With the CIA’s backing, the king removes George Papandreous as prime minister. Papandreous has failed to vigorously support U.S. interests in Greece.

Congo (Zaire) — A CIA-backed military coup installs Mobutu Sese Seko as dictator. The hated and repressive Mobutu exploits his desperately poor country for billions.

1966

The Ramparts Affair — The radical magazine Ramparts begins a series of unprecedented anti-CIA articles. Among their scoops: the CIA has paid the University of Michigan $25 million dollars to hire "professors" to train South Vietnamese students in covert police methods. MIT and other universities have received similar payments. Ramparts also reveals that the National Students’ Association is a CIA front. Students are sometimes recruited through blackmail and bribery, including draft deferments.

1967

Greece — A CIA-backed military coup overthrows the government two days before the elections. The favorite to win was George Papandreous, the liberal candidate. During the next six years, the "reign of the colonels" — backed by the CIA — will usher in the widespread use of torture and murder against political opponents. When a Greek ambassador objects to President Johnson about U.S. plans for Cypress, Johnson tells him: "f**k your parliament and your constitution."

Operation PHEONIX — The CIA helps South Vietnamese agents identify and then murder alleged Viet Cong leaders operating in South Vietnamese villages. According to a 1971 congressional report, this operation killed about 20,000 "Viet Cong."

1968

Operation CHAOS — The CIA has been illegally spying on American citizens since 1959, but with Operation CHAOS, President Johnson dramatically boosts the effort. CIA agents go undercover as student radicals to spy on and disrupt campus organizations protesting the Vietnam War. They are searching for Russian instigators, which they never find. CHAOS will eventually spy on 7,000 individuals and 1,000 organizations.

Bolivia — A CIA-organized military operation captures legendary guerilla Che Guevara. The CIA wants to keep him alive for interrogation, but the Bolivian government executes him to prevent worldwide calls for clemency.

1969

Uruguay — The notorious CIA torturer Dan Mitrione arrives in Uruguay, a country torn with political strife. Whereas right-wing forces previously used torture only as a last resort, Mitrione convinces them to use it as a routine, widespread practice. "The precise pain, in the precise place, in the precise amount, for the desired effect," is his motto. The torture techniques he teaches to the death squads rival the Nazis’. He eventually becomes so feared that revolutionaries will kidnap and murder him a year later.

1970

Cambodia — The CIA overthrows Prince Sahounek, who is highly popular among Cambodians for keeping them out of the Vietnam War. He is replaced by CIA puppet Lon Nol, who immediately throws Cambodian troops into battle. This unpopular move strengthens once minor opposition parties like the Khmer Rouge, which achieves power in 1975 and massacres millions of its own people.

1971

Bolivia — After half a decade of CIA-inspired political turmoil, a CIA-backed military coup overthrows the leftist President Juan Torres. In the next two years, dictator Hugo Banzer will have over 2,000 political opponents arrested without trial, then tortured, raped and executed.

Haiti — "Papa Doc" Duvalier dies, leaving his 19-year old son "Baby Doc" Duvalier the dictator of Haiti. His son continues his bloody reign with full knowledge of the CIA.

1972

The Case-Zablocki Act — Congress passes an act requiring congressional review of executive agreements. In theory, this should make CIA operations more accountable. In fact, it is only marginally effective.

Cambodia — Congress votes to cut off CIA funds for its secret war in Cambodia.

Wagergate Break-in — President Nixon sends in a team of burglars to wiretap Democratic offices at Watergate. The team members have extensive CIA histories, including James McCord, E. Howard Hunt and five of the Cuban burglars. They work for the Committee to Reelect the President (CREEP), which does dirty work like disrupting Democratic campaigns and laundering Nixon’s illegal campaign contributions. CREEP’s activities are funded and organized by another CIA front, the Mullen Company.

1973

Chile — The CIA overthrows and assassinates Salvador Allende, Latin America’s first democratically elected socialist leader. The problems begin when Allende nationalizes American-owned firms in Chile. ITT offers the CIA $1 million for a coup (reportedly refused). The CIA replaces Allende with General Augusto Pinochet, who will torture and murder thousands of his own countrymen in a crackdown on labor leaders and the political left.

CIA begins internal investigations — William Colby, the Deputy Director for Operations, orders all CIA personnel to report any and all illegal activities they know about. This information is later reported to Congress.

Watergate Scandal — The CIA’s main collaborating newspaper in America, The Washington Post, reports Nixon’s crimes long before any other newspaper takes up the subject. The two reporters, Woodward and Bernstein, make almost no mention of the CIA’s many fingerprints all over the scandal. It is later revealed that Woodward was a Naval intelligence briefer to the White House, and knows many important intelligence figures, including General Alexander Haig. His main source, "Deep Throat," is probably one of those.

CIA Director Helms Fired — President Nixon fires CIA Director Richard Helms for failing to help cover up the Watergate scandal. Helms and Nixon have always disliked each other. The new CIA director is William Colby, who is relatively more open to CIA reform.

1974

CHAOS exposed — Pulitzer prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh publishes a story about Operation CHAOS, the domestic surveillance and infiltration of anti-war and civil rights groups in the U.S. The story sparks national outrage.

Angleton fired — Congress holds hearings on the illegal domestic spying efforts of James Jesus Angleton, the CIA’s chief of counterintelligence. His efforts included mail-opening campaigns and secret surveillance of war protesters. The hearings result in his dismissal from the CIA.

House clears CIA in Watergate — The House of Representatives clears the CIA of any complicity in Nixon’s Watergate break-in.

The Hughes Ryan Act — Congress passes an amendment requiring the president to report nonintelligence CIA operations to the relevant congressional committees in a timely fashion.

1975

Australia — The CIA helps topple the democratically elected, left-leaning government of Prime Minister Edward Whitlam. The CIA does this by giving an ultimatum to its Governor-General, John Kerr. Kerr, a longtime CIA collaborator, exercises his constitutional right to dissolve the Whitlam government. The Governor-General is a largely ceremonial position appointed by the Queen; the Prime Minister is democratically elected. The use of this archaic and never-used law stuns the nation.

Angola — Eager to demonstrate American military resolve after its defeat in Vietnam, Henry Kissinger launches a CIA-backed war in Angola. Contrary to Kissinger’s assertions, Angola is a country of little strategic importance and not seriously threatened by communism. The CIA backs the brutal leader of UNITAS, Jonas Savimbi. This polarizes Angolan politics and drives his opponents into the arms of Cuba and the Soviet Union for survival. Congress will cut off funds in 1976, but the CIA is able to run the war off the books until 1984, when funding is legalized again. This entirely pointless war kills over 300,000 Angolans.

"The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence" — Victor Marchetti and John Marks publish this whistle-blowing history of CIA crimes and abuses. Marchetti has spent 14 years in the CIA, eventually becoming an executive assistant to the Deputy Director of Intelligence. Marks has spent five years as an intelligence official in the State Department.

"Inside the Company" — Philip Agee publishes a diary of his life inside the CIA. Agee has worked in covert operations in Latin America during the 60s, and details the crimes in which he took part.

Congress investigates CIA wrong-doing — Public outrage compels Congress to hold hearings on CIA crimes. Senator Frank Church heads the Senate investigation ("The Church Committee"), and Representative Otis Pike heads the House investigation. (Despite a 98 percent incumbency reelection rate, both Church and Pike are defeated in the next elections.) The investigations lead to a number of reforms intended to increase the CIA’s accountability to Congress, including the creation of a standing Senate committee on intelligence. However, the reforms prove ineffective, as the Iran/Contra scandal will show. It turns out the CIA can control, deal with or sidestep Congress with ease.

The Rockefeller Commission — In an attempt to reduce the damage done by the Church Committee, President Ford creates the "Rockefeller Commission" to whitewash CIA history and propose toothless reforms. The commission’s namesake, Vice President Nelson Rockefeller, is himself a major CIA figure. Five of the commission’s eight members are also members of the Council on Foreign Relations, a CIA-dominated organization.

1979

Iran — The CIA fails to predict the fall of the Shah of Iran, a longtime CIA puppet, and the rise of Muslim fundamentalists who are furious at the CIA’s backing of SAVAK, the Shah’s bloodthirsty secret police. In revenge, the Muslims take 52 Americans hostage in the U.S. embassy in Tehran.

Afghanistan — The Soviets invade Afghanistan. The CIA immediately begins supplying arms to any faction willing to fight the occupying Soviets. Such indiscriminate arming means that when the Soviets leave Afghanistan, civil war will erupt. Also, fanatical Muslim extremists now possess state-of-the-art weaponry. One of these is Sheik Abdel Rahman, who will become involved in the World Trade Center bombing in New York.

El Salvador — An idealistic group of young military officers, repulsed by the massacre of the poor, overthrows the right-wing government. However, the U.S. compels the inexperienced officers to include many of the old guard in key positions in their new government. Soon, things are back to "normal" — the military government is repressing and killing poor civilian protesters. Many of the young military and civilian reformers, finding themselves powerless, resign in disgust.

Nicaragua — Anastasios Samoza II, the CIA-backed dictator, falls. The Marxist Sandinistas take over government, and they are initially popular because of their commitment to land and anti-poverty reform. Samoza had a murderous and hated personal army called the National Guard. Remnants of the Guard will become the Contras, who fight a CIA-backed guerilla war against the Sandinista government throughout the 1980s.

1980

El Salvador — The Archbishop of San Salvador, Oscar Romero, pleads with President Carter "Christian to Christian" to stop aiding the military government slaughtering his people. Carter refuses. Shortly afterwards, right-wing leader Roberto D’Aubuisson has Romero shot through the heart while saying Mass. The country soon dissolves into civil war, with the peasants in the hills fighting against the military government. The CIA and U.S. Armed Forces supply the government with overwhelming military and intelligence superiority. CIA-trained death squads roam the countryside, committing atrocities like that of El Mazote in 1982, where they massacre between 700 and 1000 men, women and children. By 1992, some 63,000 Salvadorans will be killed.

1981

Iran/Contra Begins — The CIA begins selling arms to Iran at high prices, using the profits to arm the Contras fighting the Sandinista government in Nicaragua. President Reagan vows that the Sandinistas will be "pressured" until "they say ‘uncle.’" The CIA’s Freedom Fighter’s Manual disbursed to the Contras includes instruction on economic sabotage, propaganda, extortion, bribery, blackmail, interrogation, torture, murder and political assassination.

1983

Honduras — The CIA gives Honduran military officers the Human Resource Exploitation Training Manual – 1983, which teaches how to torture people. Honduras’ notorious "Battalion 316" then uses these techniques, with the CIA’s full knowledge, on thousands of leftist dissidents. At least 184 are murdered.

1984

The Boland Amendment — The last of a series of Boland Amendments is passed. These amendments have reduced CIA aid to the Contras; the last one cuts it off completely. However, CIA Director William Casey is already prepared to "hand off" the operation to Colonel Oliver North, who illegally continues supplying the Contras through the CIA’s informal, secret, and self-financing network. This includes "humanitarian aid" donated by Adolph Coors and William Simon, and military aid funded by Iranian arms sales.

1986

Eugene Hasenfus — Nicaragua shoots down a C-123 transport plane carrying military supplies to the Contras. The lone survivor, Eugene Hasenfus, turns out to be a CIA employee, as are the two dead pilots. The airplane belongs to Southern Air Transport, a CIA front. The incident makes a mockery of President Reagan’s claims that the CIA is not illegally arming the Contras.

Iran/Contra Scandal — Although the details have long been known, the Iran/Contra scandal finally captures the media’s attention in 1986. Congress holds hearings, and several key figures (like Oliver North) lie under oath to protect the intelligence community. CIA Director William Casey dies of brain cancer before Congress can question him. All reforms enacted by Congress after the scandal are purely cosmetic.

Haiti — Rising popular revolt in Haiti means that "Baby Doc" Duvalier will remain "President for Life" only if he has a short one. The U.S., which hates instability in a puppet country, flies the despotic Duvalier to the South of France for a comfortable retirement. The CIA then rigs the upcoming elections in favor of another right-wing military strongman. However, violence keeps the country in political turmoil for another four years. The CIA tries to strengthen the military by creating the National Intelligence Service (SIN), which suppresses popular revolt through torture and assassination.

1989

Panama — The U.S. invades Panama to overthrow a dictator of its own making, General Manuel Noriega. Noriega has been on the CIA’s payroll since 1966, and has been transporting drugs with the CIA’s knowledge since 1972. By the late 80s, Noriega’s growing independence and intransigence have angered Washington… so out he goes.

1990

Haiti — Competing against 10 comparatively wealthy candidates, leftist priest Jean-Bertrand Aristide captures 68 percent of the vote. After only eight months in power, however, the CIA-backed military deposes him. More military dictators brutalize the country, as thousands of Haitian refugees escape the turmoil in barely seaworthy boats. As popular opinion calls for Aristide’s return, the CIA begins a disinformation campaign painting the courageous priest as mentally unstable.

1991

The Gulf War — The U.S. liberates Kuwait from Iraq. But Iraq’s dictator, Saddam Hussein, is another creature of the CIA. With U.S. encouragement, Hussein invaded Iran in 1980. During this costly eight-year war, the CIA built up Hussein’s forces with sophisticated arms, intelligence, training and financial backing. This cemented Hussein’s power at home, allowing him to crush the many internal rebellions that erupted from time to time, sometimes with poison gas. It also gave him all the military might he needed to conduct further adventurism — in Kuwait, for example.

The Fall of the Soviet Union — The CIA fails to predict this most important event of the Cold War. This suggests that it has been so busy undermining governments that it hasn’t been doing its primary job: gathering and analyzing information. The fall of the Soviet Union also robs the CIA of its reason for existence: fighting communism. This leads some to accuse the CIA of intentionally failing to predict the downfall of the Soviet Union. Curiously, the intelligence community’s budget is not significantly reduced after the demise of communism.

1992

Economic Espionage — In the years following the end of the Cold War, the CIA is increasingly used for economic espionage. This involves stealing the technological secrets of competing foreign companies and giving them to American ones. Given the CIA’s clear preference for dirty tricks over mere information gathering, the possibility of serious criminal behavior is very great indeed.

1993

Haiti — The chaos in Haiti grows so bad that President Clinton has no choice but to remove the Haitian military dictator, Raoul Cedras, on threat of U.S. invasion. The U.S. occupiers do not arrest Haiti’s military leaders for crimes against humanity, but instead ensure their safety and rich retirements. Aristide is returned to power only after being forced to accept an agenda favorable to the country’s ruling class.

EPILOGUE

In a speech before the CIA celebrating its 50th anniversary, President Clinton said: "By necessity, the American people will never know the full story of your courage."

Clinton’s is a common defense of the CIA: namely, the American people should stop criticizing the CIA because they don’t know what it really does. This, of course, is the heart of the problem in the first place. An agency that is above criticism is also above moral behavior and reform. Its secrecy and lack of accountability allows its corruption to grow unchecked.

Furthermore, Clinton’s statement is simply untrue. The history of the agency is growing painfully clear, especially with the declassification of historical CIA documents. We may not know the details of specific operations, but we do know, quite well, the general behavior of the CIA. These facts began emerging nearly two decades ago at an ever-quickening pace. Today we have a remarkably accurate and consistent picture, repeated in country after country, and verified from countless different directions.

The CIA’s response to this growing knowledge and criticism follows a typical historical pattern. (Indeed, there are remarkable parallels to the Medieval Church’s fight against the Scientific Revolution.) The first journalists and writers to reveal the CIA’s criminal behavior were harassed and censored if they were American writers, and tortured and murdered if they were foreigners. (See Philip Agee’s On the Run for an example of early harassment.) However, over the last two decades the tide of evidence has become overwhelming, and the CIA has found that it does not have enough fingers to plug every hole in the dike. This is especially true in the age of the Internet, where information flows freely among millions of people. Since censorship is impossible, the Agency must now defend itself with apologetics. Clinton’s "Americans will never know" defense is a prime example.

Another common apologetic is that "the world is filled with unsavory characters, and we must deal with them if we are to protect American interests at all." There are two things wrong with this. First, it ignores the fact that the CIA has regularly spurned alliances with defenders of democracy, free speech and human rights, preferring the company of military dictators and tyrants. The CIA had moral options available to them, but did not take them.

Second, this argument begs several questions. The first is: "Which American interests?" The CIA has courted right-wing dictators because they allow wealthy Americans to exploit the country’s cheap labor and resources. But poor and middle-class Americans pay the price whenever they fight the wars that stem from CIA actions, from Vietnam to the Gulf War to Panama. The second begged question is: "Why should American interests come at the expense of other peoples’ human rights?"

The CIA should be abolished, its leadership dismissed and its relevant members tried for crimes against humanity. Our intelligence community should be rebuilt from the ground up, with the goal of collecting and analyzing information. As for covert action, there are two moral options. The first one is to eliminate covert action completely. But this gives jitters to people worried about the Adolf Hitlers of the world. So a second option is that we can place covert action under extensive and true democratic oversight. For example, a bipartisan Congressional Committee of 40 members could review and veto all aspects of CIA operations upon a majority or super-majority vote. Which of these two options is best may be the subject of debate, but one thing is clear: like dictatorship, like monarchy, unaccountable covert operations should die like the dinosaurs they are.

CIA’s secrete Operations worldwide and drug money
Sun, 2009-02-22 03:02

By Farzana Shah

In Afghanistan US/NATO put blame on Taliban for the poppy cultivation in Afghanistan for financing their resistance to allied forces. Ironically, it was only in Taliban era when the world had seen a sharp decline in opium crop in Afghanistan. Taliban banned opium cultivation nationwide. A more important question is how and when this business of drug production and trafficking started in region? CIA has been using drug money since long to generate money to support its operations all over the world. It did not start in Afghanistan it was brought here after experimenting somewhere else.

This is something which is not a lead story in international media for obvious reasons despite the fact it is harming millions of lives around the globe.

1. CIA’s secret Operations

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on of the most active and dynamic intelligence setups in the world needs massive amount of money to carry on its clandestine operations all over the world. It has happened when CIA used local sources to conduct a coups, assassinations, regime change, etc. As US has a long history to support democracy by hook and crook measures, until and unless a dictator is ready to serve US interests to prolong its rule.

Operations like the one completed in Iran in 1953 to remove Prime Minister Mussadaq and backing Shah’s regime by using assets in civil society, or in Iraq in 1975 to arm Iraqi Kurds to destabilize Pre-Saddam in Iraq or more recently using its assets in Pakistan to pave the way of direct US intervention in Pakistan under pretext of hunting Al-Qaeda.

These kinds of operations need a lot of financial input. Usually CIA arranges revenue from its own means for this kind of operations where expenses can’t be predicted by any measure. Funds from Whitehouse always need a complete audit and detailed reports about usage of these funds. There are numerous occasions when CIA never shared details of operations with its own analytical wing nor with any other public office in Washington. Most of the time it is drug money that compensates these expenses.

CIA operations are not only single expenditure fulfilled by drugs there are also other deficiencies which are compensated with this money like financial institutes and banks in current financial crisis. UNODC Executive Director Antonio Maria Costa based in Vienna revealed that drug money often became the only available capital when the crisis spiraled out of control last year.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime had found evidence that "inter bank loans were funded by money that originated from drug trade and other illegal activities," Costa was quoted as saying. There were "signs that some banks were rescued in that way."

It is not only CIA anymore in trade for using it as gold mine to finance its illegal operations all over the world but US economy also need some liquidity in its banks, it doesn’t matter if it is coming by drug trade.

2. Drug Production & Consumption

Afghanistan is the largest producer of heroin’s main ingredient; opium and opium is nothing new in this part of the world. In Afghanistan and FATA, Pakistan it is being produced since centuries; used as remedy for various diseases. Commercial production of opium began just during the Russian invasion in Afghanistan where it is estimated to produce some 8250 metric tons (Source: AmericanFreePress.net, November 24, 2008) of opium per year which makes 85% to 90% of the world's supply of opium. This also contributes towards Afghan warlords’ wealth directly. This is what CIA brought to the region: Opium production without a brand name obviously. Today’s world opium production map is as under;
Left: Demand and trafficking of drugs globally. US is one of very high concentration drug trafficking territory thanks to Regan’s National Security Council who turned a blind eye towards South American cocaine socking into US in 1980 when CIA was backing all the drug traffickers of Contra movements in Nicaragua.

Markets for these drugs stretched world over from Western Europe to Far East, From Canada to Latin America and From China to Morocco, Africa. Profits related to this

business also vary along with market’s location.

This business enriches not only the United States-friendly Afghan warlords but also elements of the Northern Alliance, the US key ally in the country. More disturbing is fact that this money also contributes in CIA’s operations against Pakistan as well.

3. Contra Movements (1980)

In Asia demand for heroin is more than any other drug but it is not the case world over. Cocaine is favorite drug which is consumed the most. Cocaine was nothing new in South American countries but it was only during Nicaraguan contra movements against the then dictator it got shoot up. It was again CIA’s regime change operation to bring "democracy" in Nicaragua. It was during this period when the whole region saw an unprecedented surge in cocaine trafficking in 1980. This has been investigated none other than but by CIA’s inspector general in later years.

Was CIA a part of this?

Answer is not only CIA was aiding these cocaine traffickers and money-launderers but Ronald Reagon’s National Security Council also turned a blind eye towards these drug trades despite the fact that later these very drug traffickers brought cocaine to mainland US. According to CIA’s inspector general report, published in online magazine The Consortium magazine, Oct. 15, 1998, it was Reagan’s National Security Council which cleared proven drug traffickers and CIA inspector general Frederick Hitz confirmed long standing.

Above: Armed men of Nicaragua insurgency during 1980, armed with CIA’s sport and financed by drug money.

Allegations of cocaine traffickers.

The NSC’s covert airline was the main transportation mean to do this trade in safest possible way.

Most stunning part of all this contra movements and CIA involvement is methods these movements used to dismantle the then Nicaraguan government including bombing and killing of civilians and CIA withheld all evidence of contra crimes from Justice Department, the Congress and even its own analytical division just to conceal its connection with drug traffickers.

4.Afghanistan

As it is mentioned earlier that Afghanistan was not a hub of drug supply to world before Russian invasion in 1979. It was CIA once again to implement what it successfully implemented in Nicaragua in 1980. Now, Afghanistan is biggest contributor in drug production with its massive opium production.

Russian Afghan War (1979-1989)

CIA was not fully done with contra movements when Russia invaded Afghanistan in 1979 threatening the region with her expansionist design to gain control over Afghanistan and Baluchistan province of Pakistan to reach Arabian Sea. Pakistan decided to confront Russia inside Afghanistan to thwart communist designs. CIA found an opportunity in Afghanistan to settle its long standing duel with Russian for global dominion, after initial successes by Afghan fighters. CIA once again brought tested formula of drug to finance this war which it used in South America with only difference in prescription where cocaine was replaced with heroin. Poppy cultivation was nothing new to Afghan but it was level of production and demand created by international traffickers in the world which shocked many in vicinity of these poppy fields.

Profit gained by these drugs was main driving force behind all this trade and with heroin it was much more than what it was with cocaine. Ironically US and Europe became biggest markets of heroin prepared produced in Afghanistan.

Regan’s administration is also a common factor in both Afghan heroin trade and contra cocaine traffickers. Role of CIA in first Afghan war was not overt as it could provoke Russians in more direct retaliation albeit Cuban missile crisis of 1960s. To avoid that kind of hostility it was more suitable for CIA to have silent links with Afghan warlords and providing sources to grow poppy. “By the end of Russian invasion in 1989 Afghanistan was second largest opium production spot with 1350 Metric ton after notorious Golden Triangle including countries like Laos, Thailand, Burma and Vietnam which was producing 2645 Metric ton at that time leaving Latin America way behind with just 112 Metric ton”, as per US Drug Enforcement Administration.

Pre and Post Taliban Era (1994-2001)

In 1994 unrest and lawlessness in Afghanistan gave rise to Taliban. Motivated with their strict religious background and education they put ban on all kinds of drugs in territory under their control but this was not the cure for chronically infected Afghan economy and society. Non availability of any job market and strong hold of Northern Alliance of Northern part of country remained biggest challenge to these efforts to cut down poppy cultivation in Afghanistan. But despite all the challenges Talibans were able to put a serious cut on opium.

Above: A price comparison between Cocaine and Heroin. Despite low price of Afghan opium street price in end market in US is many times more than cocaine’s price in same market.

production in Afghanistan by start of 2001 when they were about to capture Northern Alliance’s strong hold Mazar-e-Sharif but post 9/11 scenario not only changed the geopolitical dynamics of the whole world but also destroyed the efforts of Taliban to control opium production.
Left: In year 2001, just before US/NATO invasion into Afghanistan, Taliban were able to cut down opium production by a decisive margin. This was also one of core reasons against Taliban along with other excuses. After year 2002, when Taliban were removed from power there is a historical increase in opium production in Afghanistan, money is going to pentagon to carry on Afghan and Iraq war despite a historical recession in US.

Recent Afghan Conflict (2002 – To date)
Afghanistan is leading opium production in world today but after the invasion of US in 2002 Afghanistan is also attributed to have largest heroin production in the world as well.

Without active support of Pentagon and CIA it is not possible to export drug prepared with more than 8000 metric tons of opium. US relations with Northern Alliance in Afghanistan after Taliban have given a free license to drug producers, traffickers. CIA and Pentagon both have their links to all these criminals in order to get supplies of the drugs and export it in US Army planes. It has been reported that CIA used US Army planes leaving Afghanistan carrying coffins which were filled with drugs instead of bodies.

To make sure undisturbed trade US appointed all Northern Alliance drug lords at key posts in Afghanistan and most prominent appointment was none other than President Hamid Karzai. Karzai’s brother, head of Kandahar's provincial council is proven drug trafficker facilitating the transportation of heroin from Kandahar eastward through Helmand and out across the Iranian border.
There is no reason to believe that CIA is not aware of this but as it is all one big enterprise where Karzai is also a partner so no danger to his brother.

Bush administration pushed the level of poppy cultivation to next level in Afghanistan just to keep Wall Streets alive in crisis. Many top Bush administration’s officials were worried about growing influence of countries in Golden Triangle (Loas, Thailand, Vietnam, Burma) in Russian and Chinese drug markets. Like Oil in Iraq this was just another opportunity for the Bush administration to have some quick bucks.

Blames for using drugs to fight with NATO and US forces is always put on Taliban. But looking at areas of Taliban’s active zones one can easily understand where all this poppy cultivation is taking place. Taliban put ban on poppy when they were incharge of majority of Afghan territories and Kabul, the capital. Afghanistan was suffering worst economic crisis at that time but Taliban never went to build their economy with heroin trade. Now it is just ridiculous to blame Taliban to have vast fields of poppy and having enough peace and time to grow and process it into heroin and then trade it in Pakistan and Iran to dens it to destinations in Eastern Europe. Below is map of Afghanistan indicating high poppy cultivation provinces and it is quite evident that Taliban dominant.
Left: Ahmed Wali Karzai, appointed by his brother, President Hamid Karzai, to represent Kandahar province in Kabul.

According to media reports he is main player in exporting heroin and opium to European countries through Turkmenistan.

Provinces like Kunar, Pektika,Paktya has low poppy cultivation and other provinces where all US/CIA supported warlords are holding key positions are growing most of opium crop. It was only after US invasion there was a 4400% increase in opium production.

US role in Afghan social debacle will go in history as described The Huffington Post on October 15, 2008 “When the history of U.S. involvement in Afghanistan is written, Washington's sordid involvement in the heroin trade and its alliance with drug lords and war criminals of the Afghan Communist Party will be one of the most shameful chapters.”

5. Pakistan: Indirect Victim of the CIA’s Drug business

Almost the whole world is affected by this drug trade but countries which lie in routes of drug traffickers are worst effected after the original drug markets. Countries like Pakistan are paying a very high price for US/CIA drug trade as there is a constant increase in drug addiction in Pakistan. Iran is another country which happens to be in route of international drug traffickers so it is also facing problem of smuggling of heroin and morphine from Afghanistan and Pakistan to Turkey and Europe. After US invasion of Afghanistan this route has become active manifold then it was previously.

Effects of this trade are not limited to drug usage only but it destroys the social fabric in a society and gives rise to street crimes in order to get some cash to buy drugs from street market. A more horrible outcome is spread of HIV virus among addicted persons when they share the injection syringes. This threat is increasing with each passing day as number of HIV positive is increasing.

Another disastrous effect it brought to Pakistan and Afghanistan other neighbours is serious law and order situation in bordering area of each country with Afghanistan. Combating this evil trade is not possible until a holistic effort is made by international community in this regards but its chances are bleak as this trade is needed by global imperialism (Israel, US, UK) more than ever before to give some support to their dying economies.

Above: Pakistan has become main artery in heroin trafficking route and it has a lot of implication on Pakistani security. Level of drug addicted also increased over the year due to high availability of drugs in street market. Afghanistan is main producer but Pakistan us where most of drugs are seized.

6. Conclusion

Under current situation it is very important for countries like Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan and Russia to think about how to put jinni of drug back to the bottle before international drug mafia takes over these countries by destroying their social norms and values.

CIA not only has a long history of having links with traffickers but also encouraging the drug trade to get its own interests served. CIA always encourages this trade even if it affected its own citizens like in Contra movements of 1980.

Afghanistan became leader in opium production and main hub for providing heroin and its main ingredient to whole world. All this happened under the control of champion of human rights US and its intelligence setup mainly CIA.

Situation is becoming more and bleaker unless Pakistan, China, Russia, Iran and Afghanistan governments start thinking about this trade and its far reaching affects on US economy and CIA’s funding. It is time when the whole region should become equivocal against this trade and ask US to leave the region for greater good of the billions of people in region.

Hey in November, Jay Rockefeller was seen as "the people's man":

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Change At FCC And Congress: Good News For Media Reform
http://www.newscorpse.com/ncWP/?tag=jay-rockefeller
Filed under: FCC, General — Mark @ 2:54 pm 11/21/2008
The signature slogan for the 2008 campaign season was a single word that can spark a thousand interpretations: CHANGE! [It narrowly beat out "Maverick" and "You Betcha"] And change there will be.
This week, something happened in the House of Representatives that is almost unheard of. The sacred principle of seniority was set aside when Henry Waxman of California booted John Dingell of Michigan from the chairmanship of the Energy and Commerce Committee. Dingell had been chairing the committee since the flood of Noah, and through most of his tenure he was a friend to the industries over which he had jurisdiction. Waxman, on the hand, is known for his work on the Government Oversight Committee as a bulldog who kept a close watch on the people’s interests. He held numerous hearings to investigate corporate abuse, greed, and corruption.
Since the FCC falls within the Commerce Committee’s jurisdiction, there is good reason to assume that Waxman will put them on a short leash. He is an advocate of Network Neutrality and strict enforcement of anti-trust law. He has been deeply involved with environmental and healthcare issues for many years and will likely want to focus on those matters. Consequently, he may leave a lot of the media-related heavy lifting to Ed Markey, chair of the Telecom subcommittee. Markey is an ally who’s views and priorities are in sync with Waxman.
Combine these adjustments in the House with news that the Senate Commerce Committee is undergoing its own upheaval and there is real hope for reform. Jay Rockefeller will be taking the gavel from Daniel Inouye, another old-time industry bull. Rockefeller is far more likely to support initiatives for far-sighted projects like universal broadband (making the Internet more like a utility that is available to everyone). He will get help from Sen. Byron Dorgan, the chairman of the Subcommittee on Interstate Commerce, who has sponsored legislation to reduce the number of television stations and newspapers that a corporation can own.
In addition to these leaders in Congress, the makeup of the FCC is going to change as well. Barack Obama has gotten off to good start by naming a couple of knowledgeable and forward-looking academics to lead his Transition Team: Susan Crawford and Kevin Werbach. He has also tapped Julius Genachowski and Blair Levin, both top aides to former FCC chairman Reed Hundt, as advisors. One of them may turn out to be the new FCC chair. And given Obama’s own statements on the media, there is more potential for positive developments in the next eight months than there has been in the past eight years. Here is an excerpt from the Technology statement on his website:
“As president, Obama will encourage diversity in the ownership of broadcast media, promote the development of new media outlets for expression of diverse viewpoints, and clarify the public interest obligations of broadcasters who occupy the nation’s spectrum.”
There is much to be done to recover from the past few years of regressive policy and obedience to corporate domination. But this is as promising a beginning as one can expect. It is now up to the new administration to follow through, and an active citizenry to be vigilant and vocal.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Are these people insane?  Rockefeller good for the Internet? He wants to nuke it!

Jay Rockefeller: “Internet is the No.1 cause of attacks, it should not exist”
http://info-wars.org/?p=701
March 21, 2009 by protocol22  Desmond Langdon Info-Wars.org

This is unbelievable rhetoric from Senator Jay Rockefeller as he claims that an attack through the Internet is the biggest threat to U.S. National Security. The fact of the matter is the Illuminati of which he is a member are petrified of the new Alternative Media which has grown from  strength to strength in recent years. People actually have access to accurate reports  of  globalists meetings and agendas - that scares them.

Anyone with a modicum of I.T. savvy knows that the U.S. Defense Departments computer systems are for all intents and purposes impregnable to outside Cyber attack, due to the specially adapted hardware firewalls which they use - every so often they set-up a false-flag cyber attack on a system and hype it up using their Main Stream Media propaganda machine. The three million internet “attacks” on the U.S. Defense Department’s computers to which Rockefeller refers are usually innocuous attempts by internet surfers to access the Defense Departments web servers, which are totally separate from their National Security computer grid - usually these “hackers” attempt to gain access to the root of the web server by using FTP and SSH clients, these attempts are destined to fail from the start but are all logged in the database of their servers and hence we have the statistics of three million “attacks” to which Rockefeller refers.

Londoner Gary McKinnon who managed to access the non password-protected  laptop computer of a Pentagon employee (which contained data that should have been encrypted and password protected) in search of information pertaining to  UFO’s  is a good example of  this main stream media hype.

The proponents of a “New World Order” seek to end the internet as we know it today - It stands in their way and they have made it their priority to regain control of all Media sources - Internet 2 - a highly restrictive internet is their goal.

Senator Jay Rockefeller - (D-WV) - (Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 - during the Commerce Secretary Confirmation Hearing) — “Both the President Bushs’ Director of National Intelligence, Mike McConnell who I greatly respect, and President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, Admiral (Dennis) Blair, who I greatly respect, have labelled cyber security, perpetrated through the internet, as the No.1 NATIONAL HAZARD OF ATTACK ON THE HOMELAND”

“It almost makes you ask the question, ‘would it have been better if we’d never invented the internet?’.”

Because people are too stupid, and oblivious imo.  For those that can't even realize for themselves the fact that 9/11 was a black op inside job, they sure as hell cannot grasp that there are any other false flags that are being talked about.  That's why it was so important for people to understand the facts about 9/11, because if you can't get that, then you can do nothing whatsoever to help stop any subsequent black ops.  It's disgusting the level of idiocy that people have.

Jay Rockefeller: “Internet is the No.1 cause of attacks, it should not exist”

Let's play a game of "GTFO Mike McConnell" [Excerpts follow]:

http://forum.prisonplanet.com/index.php?topic=87140.msg503215#msg503215

"Today, among the many services Booz Allen provides to intelligence agencies, according to its Website, are war-gaming – simulated drills in which military and intelligence officials test their response to potential threats like terrorist attacks – as well as data-mining and analysis of imagery and intelligence picked up by U.S. spy satellites, the design of cryptographic, or code-breaking, systems (an NSA specialty) and “outsourcing/privatization strategy and planning.” The company’s 2007 annual report spells out several other areas of expertise, including “all source analysis,” an intelligence specialty managed by the CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) that draws on public sources of information, such as foreign newspapers and textbooks, to add texture to data gathered by spies and electronic surveillance.

According to the company’s annual report, Booz Allen is also working on one of the most important spy initiatives launched in recent years: the Cryptographic Modernization Program. Air Force General John C. Koziol, the commander of the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency, described this program as an attempt to combine a variety of intelligence technologies to pick up tell-tale signs of chemicals and other substances – into a single electronic package that can be used by combat and special operations commanders to track the enemy.

Booz Allen is a full partner in the project, according to General Koziol, an idea that has been “fully endorsed” by the Director of National Intelligence Michael McConnell, the nation’s spy chief  – himself a Booz Allen alumnus (see box)."
_______________________________________________________________________________
"Little Congressional Scrutiny?

In spite of its tremendous power as a contractor, Booz Allen has received very little criticism or even scrutiny from the U.S. Congress. In January 2007, the Senate had a rare opportunity to inquire about the company when it held hearings on Michael McConnell’s nomination as Director of National Intelligence (see box). Prior to the hearing, several senators said they would question McConnell about Booz Allen’s role as a contractor; but the hearing was a desultory affair, and few questions were asked of the new DNI about the high level of contracting among the spy agencies or the specific role of Booz Allen.

A month later, a Booz Allen contract with the Department of Homeland Security came under close scrutiny in the House. In February 2007, Henry Waxman, a Democratic Congressman from California, the chairman of the House Committee on Government Oversight and Reform, charged that Booz Allen had a significant conflict of interest over its contract to oversee an $8 billion contract with the DHS Secure Border Initiative known as SBI-Net. Under the contract, Boeing and other companies will build a “virtual fence” of cameras, radar and sensors that will transmit imagery and data to border patrol agents working along the U.S. borders with Canada and Mexico. (See CorpWatch's “Fencing the Border".)

The conflict arose, said Waxman, because Booz Allen had long-standing business partnerships with Boeing, the prime contractor for SBI-Net, and could therefore not provide objective oversight of the program. At the hearing, Waxman pointed out to DHS officials that they had hired 98 people to oversee the SBI-Net contract. “But the problem is that 65 of these people don’t work for the government. They work for the contractor,” he said. “You’re relying on them to do the function that a government ordinarily would do.” DHS officials responded that Booz Allen had been hired for advice, not for oversight." John Michael McConnell

Booz Allen Hamilton’s most illustrious alumnus is Michael McConnell, the current Director of National Intelligence, the top spy job in the country, who epitomizes the term revolving door, spinning from government job to industry and back again.

McConnell was a senior Pentagon official during George Bush Senior’s administration and the first Gulf War, where he worked for Dick Cheney, then the Secretary of Defense, as the chief intelligence adviser to General Colin Powell, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Cheney was so impressed with McConnell’s work during the war that he appointed him to head the NSA in 1993 (he later intervened personally to convince McConnell to take the DNI job in 2007).

McConnell subsequently spent more than 10 years as a Booz Allen senior vice president in charge of the company’s extensive contracts in military intelligence and information operations for the Pentagon. In that job, his official biography states, McConnell provided intelligence support to "the U.S. Unified Combatant Commanders, the Director of National Intelligence Agencies, and the Military Service Intelligence Directors." That made him a close colleague of not only Donald Rumsfeld, who ran the Pentagon from 2001 to 2007, but of Vice President Cheney, who has served President Bush as a kind of intelligence godfather since the earliest days of the administration.

As Booz Allen’s chief intelligence liaison to the Pentagon, McConnell was at the center of action, both before and after the September 11 attacks. During the first six years of the Bush administration, Booz Allen’s contracts with the U.S. government rose dramatically, from $626,000 in 2000 to $1.6 billion in 2006. McConnell and his staff at Booz Allen were deeply involved in some of the Bush administration’s most controversial counterterrorism programs. They included the Pentagon’s infamous Total Information Awareness data-mining scheme run by former Navy Admiral John Poindexter, which was an attempt to collect information on potential terrorists in America from phone records, credit card receipts and other databases. (Congress cancelled the program over civil liberties concerns, but much of the work was transferred to the NSA, where Booz Allen continued to receive the contracts.)

In 2002, when the CIA launched a financial intelligence project to track terrorist financing with the secret cooperation of SWIFT, the Brussels-based international banking consortium, Booz Allen won a contract to serve as an “outside” auditor of the project.

In January 2007, McConnell resigned from Booz Allen after he was appointed by President George W. Bush to his current job. He now oversees all 16 U.S. intelligence agencies, and thus much of Booz Allen’s government business. (See this reporter's 2007 Salon article.)

John Michael McConnell was a Booz Allen Senior Vice President (1996-2006). [18] He was the NSA Director (1992-1996) and the Intelligence Director for the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1990-1992). [19] While McConnell was at Booz Allen, he led the "firm's support to the Presidential Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection, focusing on the vulnerabilities of the banking and financial sector." After 9/11, Bush authorized the mining of banking records, purportedly on a limited basis, using the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT). The CIA and the Treasury Department hired Booz Allen as an outside supervisory auditor. Amazing, considering Booz Allen's deep connections within the "U.S. government security establishment." It was definitely not a "genuine check" on the SWIFT program.

AI's research enters a room, where the air might be too thin for people without a sophisticated unterstanding in tech components, systems and the decisive companies and their scope.

I want to support AI in every way he thinks is useful. I want to make sure, that he is zeroing in on these fvckers without the friction of translating what he thinks is obvious to a clueless crowd of not too tech savy truthers.

Don't feel bad. Even tech savvy people have a hard time wrapping around all of this. The information and implications are enormous to say the least.

Explaining even the beginnings of AI's research to non-tech-savvy folks... is difficult to say the least. One can give a summary, but the specifics don't make much sense unless you know the interconnections between all the players. Ptech, Mitre, etc. It's like sitting down a teenager who's proficient with windows but has never seen an older computer before in their lives and saying, "OK, now use this Commodore 64 to write me a program in Basic." And then don't give them even the user's manual. Just let them try to muddle around with the command lines and hint to them that LOAD "*",8,1 does something. Wink

The data on what AI is uncovering is IMMENSE. And whilst he may have a pretty good grasp on how most of it fits since it is his pet research project, not many others can say the same.

What I wonder is how we can distill this and get it out in a more understandable format to the masses. The thing is everyone will want PROOF. But here's the catch 22... how do you tell people that they aren't savvy enough to figure OUT the truth from the source documentation themselves? That's a delicate subject to cross... People will feel insulted, when you aren't really insulting them. Not everyone is tech savvy after all, and everyone is good at different things.

The sad truth is, most people are not stupid... oblivious, most definitely. The dumbing down over the last two decades or so in the public schools, coupled with the idea that self-esteem is what is paramount and discernment of fact and truth are subordinate to this self opinion... this is what is at play here.

Many are merely hanging onto the vestiges of what has supported them over the years, refusing to accept the possibility that their view may be wrong, even in the light of irrefutable facts, their self-esteem gets in the way.

It is up to us, those who know, to persist with diligence, and in many cases patience in awakening our fellow Americans, and individuals around the world, there is no other way. By sheer numbers alone will we defeat the tyrants, and no time is better than now to charge, when the globalists are wearing their tyranny, openly, for all to see as Rockefeller has done here.

First off: Mike Phillibin, sorry to have misunderstood my bad.

Looking back over the video AWESOME catch there bro. Thanks for bringing that to light..... We know they have essentially said this many times in their documents and the talking points they put out for MSM pundits. But, now we have Jay Rock himself confirming it ... indeed....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
concerning the transcript - nofakenews was able to post it thanks
is it me, or is this very odd that not one other forum, blog, news outlet has commented about a Rockefeller threatening the Internet and anyone who defends it?
Agreed Sane, that is extremely scary imho.
It shows how controlled MSM truly is. But, it also shows how un-aware the general populace is about how primed and ready the internet is for any type Cyber False flag.
Because people are too stupid, and oblivious imo.  For those that can't even realize for themselves the fact that 9/11 was a black op inside job, they sure as hell cannot grasp that there are any other false flags that are being talked about.  That's why it was so important for people to understand the facts about 9/11, because if you can't get that, then you can do nothing whatsoever to help stop any subsequent black ops.  It's disgusting the level of idiocy that people have.
Anti Illuminati, it isn't exactly that people are stupid as much as they have been conditioned not to think and beyond that TO NEVER THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX.
Let me take a moment to illustrate this firmly.
Because most of us think we think outside of of the box but -do we really?
Let us take the average joe for example. Joe is you or I. Joe for 30 years has worked in <replace the following profession with any arbitrary profession> Information Technology and is now a CIO after doing everything from laying fiber and administrating servers to designing and securing entire ISPs. Joe knows everything  about IT. Joe can design solutions on the fly. It is safe to assume that if something is IT related he will be able to figure it out. IT is Joe's Life. Joe is a rare bird. A very rare exception in IT. Joe can not only design and infrastructure but write all of the code for it and even handle personel and the budget and security requirments. Most people in IT never learn everything Joe knows. Usualy they specialize in merely one small area of IT.  Hence you have storage admins, network admins, hardware admins, virtualization specialist, programmers and DBAs etc.... They all advance and learn and are "smart/inteligent/show leadership traits" in their respective niches but they are still stuck in their niche.
Now let us ask Joe an in depth question about genetic engineering:  What is the specific DNA peptide sequence required to trigger  mitochondrial immunity to specific toxins?
Joe is going to tell you "I'm not a genetic engineer. How the frack should I know?"
Joe live in his box. His box is what he knows and is comfortable with. People are conditioned from birth to fear the unknown. To go against that - therefore is the most unnatural thing conceivable. For Joe to go out and get a PhD in Genetic Engineering just to begin to try to properly answer that question is simply out of the question in Joe's mind and Joe is a rarity even in his own field. But, Joe is not a genetic engineer and this is clearly a question outside of his box or niche.
Joe has decided this. Society has helped codify this decision that it itself essentially fostered.
(Now, I will stop using proper logic like that because, most people don't get it properly....)
That said, most people are extremely computer illiterate. Beyond - booting windows, opening a browser, reading and sending e-mail, playing music and video, installing mostly useless random applications and then attempting to use them, and last but not least  chatting with friends on various chat software applications - most people have no clue about computers or the internet.
That
said , most people don't care about HOW the internet works. Just as long as they can send e-mail and go to myspace  - even if they have to swipe their thumb or fingers in a biometric reader - sadly they just don't care.
To them the internet is merely another thing that works- like TV and is just there..... They wouldn't even have a clue what Jay was saying and most people would merely come away agreeing thinking Jay is some kind of IT guru.....
As, far as those in the know, they have all been conditioned to believe IPv6 is the way of the future. Thier leaders in the industry their Gurus - like Joe in our last story essentially- have said so. So, they aren't going to argue. They are also not going  do anything that might hinder it's implementation schedule.
Ask the average Network department manager or Network Architect whether he agrees that we need IPv6. If he doesn't say yes he is chided by his peers and if management gets wind of this - possibly fired.
As, Anti Illuminati pointed out earlier ARIN , RIPE, and APNIC are no longer issuing IPv4 IPs (you can get a small allocation but the loops you have to jump through are now nearly impossible for any one without a few hundred grand to spend to accomplish).  The only reason they are still being used is to allow legacy systems to transition over to IPv6.
https://www.arin.net/ IS  comprised of all of it's members. If you pay an Org fee of $500 a year you can vote on ARIN resolutions because you are a member... assuming you don't breach policy and get your membership revoked ....... Here is what they - the "ultimate experts in North America"  on IP addresses have to say about IPV6:
IPv6 Information Center
IPv6 Information Center
Internet Protocol defines how computers communicate over a network. IP version 4 (IPv4), the currently prevalent version, contains just over four billion unique IP addresses, which is not enough to last indefinitely. IPv6 is a replacement for IPv4, offering far more IP addresses and enhanced security features.
ARIN and the other RIRs have distributed IPv6 alongside IPv4 since 1999. So far, ARIN has issued both versions in tandem and has not advocated one over the other, though it has closely monitored distribution trends with the understanding that the IPv4 available resource pool would continue to diminish.
With less than 15% of IPv4 address space remaining, however, ARIN is now compelled to advise the Internet community that migration to IPv6 is necessary for any applications that require ongoing availability of contiguous IP number resources.
On 7 May 2007, the ARIN Board of Trustees passed a "Resolution on Internet Protocol Numbering Resource Availability."  On 1 August 2007, the Board published a subsequent statement entitled, "The Future of Internet Address Policy."
Get it?
So why would any one argue whith Jay when he sounds to them like he is merely miroring their existing sediments.....
These people usually drink the water for frack's sake ...
Let's really think about what this forum's research proves on a whole. Let's apply it to the big picture.
Let's really think about all of what we know is in place already.
Not just what is to come.
We must, truly see and KNOW BOTH FULLY - in order to properly fight it.
Most of the control mechanisms of a Nazi Kleptocracy have been solidified over the past 50 years. So,  it's all already there as stated ....
We now live in a fledgling Technocracy that has evolved from this Nazi Kleptocracy that has been honed since it's inception at the end of WWII with operation paper clip.
The average Joe is a product of this society engineered for society by these evil Elite Overlords.
We, are the few who have stepped outside of the matrix. Those still plugged into the matrix  won't see it till they are flushed out into reality . Even then it will take them a while to truly grasp what they truly are and what is truly going on in the world.
Realize that the matrix is multi layered . You have been conditioned to go deeper into this onion every day of you life from  birth till death. In order to actually truly see it you must first leave it by going the opposite direction you have been forced to travel.
And as you - Jim - say " that is all spock you may go"  I -spock- raise a curious eyebrow and leave the room...
Speeches
Statement of
General James N. Mattis, USMC
Commander, United States Joint Forces Command
House Armed Services Committee
March 18, 2009
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for the opportunity to report on United States Joint Forces Command. As one of 10 combatant commands in the Department of Defense, U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) oversees a force of 1.16 million active duty, National Guard, and reserve soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. The command is uniquely structured to provide agile forces to geographic combatant commanders as directed by the secretary of defense to prevail in current operations and to ensure we are not caught flat-footed in future battles. The command works closely with other government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and allied and coalition partners. We are as focused on coalition issues as we are on joint issues, and we provide a critical link to NATO through our co-location in Norfolk, Virginia with NATO’s Allied Command Transformation, the only NATO Headquarters on U.S. soil.
My testimony will focus primarily on the future following a short update on accomplishments over this past year. I will do so with a dose of realism and a sense of urgency.
I will present the way forward for Joint Forces Command as it supports the current fight and prepares the nation’s military for future operations. The forward-looking emphasis of my remarks reflects the command’s mission statement: To provide mission-ready, joint-capable forces and support the development and integration of joint, interagency, and multinational capabilities to meet the present and future operational needs of the joint force.
Today, our nation is involved in major conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, and it faces a number of threats and opportunities around the globe. For Joint Forces Command, we are focused on the current threat environment for two reasons. First, we are the joint force provider for the Department of Defense. We must do as much as possible to support current military operations. The second reason addresses the focus of this statement: “the future of the joint force.” Simply put, much of what we see in the cities of Iraq, the mountains of Afghanistan, and the foothills of southern Lebanon, I believe we will see again in the future. I say this knowing there is much we do not know about the future, and there is much more that will surprise us no matter how well we prepare. How many people expected a conflict in Georgia would keep cartographers busy in 2008? That said, the conflicts in Afghanistan other locations will sharpen USJFCOM’s activities as we give traction to Secretary Gates’ principle of balancing our force to fight conventional, irregular, and hybrid threats of the future.
We know the nature of future wars will not differ from current wars. History teaches us that the character of each individual war is always different and most certainly will change, but the enduring nature of war as a human endeavor will remain largely unchanged. Just like today, future enemies will force us to adapt as they adapt—and they will attack our vulnerabilities when and where they can. Just like today, they will attack our values and misrepresent our intentions in the “battle of competing narratives,” theirs versus ours. Thus, in many respects, today’s warfare is the future of warfare as demonstrated over the past 25 years since militant extremists first attacked our embassy and Marine barracks in Lebanon. The “irregular” methods our enemies use today will be employed against us tomorrow. We are already facing many of the threats prognosticators once labeled as “future” threats - cyber war and economic terrorism being just two examples.
In the near term we have few direct threats in the realm of conventional warfare, but we must ensure that we maintain our current conventional superiority – and address our vulnerabilities to indirect attacks. Right now, no one can match the United States Air Force in aerial combat, the United States Navy on the open seas, or the United States Army and Marine Corps in conventional land warfare. Our forces remain dominant in conventional and nuclear warfare. Enemies in the future, however, need not destroy our aircraft, ships, or tanks to reduce our conventional and even nuclear effectiveness. A well-timed and executed cyber attack may prove just as severe and destructive as a conventional attack. As technology becomes less expensive and more available, enemies have the ability to easily acquire increasingly lethal types of conventional and unconventional weapons. Overall, our future enemies are likely to confront us much as we are challenged by today’s enemies—through indirect methods in wars of a “hybrid” nature that combine any available irregular or conventional mode of attack, using a blend of primitive, traditional and high-tech weapons and tactics.
As Secretary Gates emphasized, the defining principle for defeating both current and future threats is balance. At Joint Forces Command, we must balance doing what is required to prevail in the current fight while simultaneously preparing for an uncertain future. We must have balanced and versatile joint forces ready to accomplish missions across the full spectrum of military operations—from large-scale, conventional warfare to humanitarian assistance and other forms of “soft” power. Without balance, we risk being dominant but irrelevant—that is, superior in nuclear and conventional warfare, but poorly equipped to prevail in irregular contests.
So the question becomes how will joint forces achieve and maintain balance in the coming decades? What capabilities are required? During the last year, Joint Forces Command examined some of these questions in the Joint Operating Environment (JOE) 2008. The JOE is the command’s “historically informed, forward looking” effort to assess trends, discern security threats and determine implications. While the JOE is not meant to reflect or be a statement of U.S. government policy and is fundamentally speculative in nature, it provides a starting point for discussions about the future security environment.
It concludes that we can expect a future of persistent conflict and global instability, greater adversary access to weapons of mass destruction, and the eventual rise of regional state and non-state competitors. It serves as the “problem statement” for the future joint force. Its companion document, the Capstone Concept for Joint Operations, or CCJO, articulates the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s vision for how the joint force will operate and prevail in the future threat environment. Thus, the CCJO is a proposed “solution” to the JOE’s “problem statement.” The chairman participated extensively with the writing team, emphasizing that the military’s mission is to win wars, but also noting the requirement for a whole-of-government approach in our campaigns.
--that's only about a quarter of the speech.. see link above for full text.
The people pushing "Net Neutrality" are praising Rockefeller's comments!!!
Chairman Rockefeller elevates cybersecurity to a major priority -- Protecting the cybrastructure
http://precursorblog.com/content/chairman-rockefeller-elevates-cybersecurity-a-major-priority-protecting-cybrastructure
Submitted by Scott Cleland on Thu, 2009-03-19 13:26
Cybersecurity Internet Security Online Safety Open Internet
The cybrastructure is everything that can be digitally connected to the Internet, and the cybrastructure is increasingly vulnerable to cyber attack from hackers, criminals, terrorists and other bad actors. The exploding growth in people, devices, information, and systems connected to the Internet, naturally creates an exponential increase in vulnerabilities that bad actors can exploit.  This makes cybersecurity an increasingly urgent priority.
Many think of cybersecurity as protecting users, organizations, computers, devices, and private/sensitive information, but it is much more. More and more, cybersecurity is about protecting critical systems too; our banking, capital markets, and e-payment systems; our electrical grid and utilities; our health care infrastructure; our public safety and military systems; etc. -- that all can be accessed or hacked by a wide variety users, organizations, computers, and devices.
The cybrastructure now is the vulnerable soft underbelly of our economy and society.
Fortunately, the security and safety of the cybrastructure is finally getting the priority attention it deserves.
Today, Chairman Rockefeller of the Senate Commerce Committee said: "It is an understatement that cybersecurity is one of the most important issues we face." Given the serious distress of the world economy, that is saying something. Chairman Rockefeller said he was not being "alarmist," but that he knew what he was talking about since he was just previously Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee 2007-2009.
Yesterday, at the confirmation hearing for the Commerce Secretary nominee, Gary Locke, Chairman Rockefeller called cybersecurity the "number one threat" to the nation's security and Mr. Locke agreed that cybersecurity is "obviously of utmost importance" -- per coverage by Washington Internet Daily.
Please consider this very surprising question that Chairman Rockefeller pondered publicly yesterday: "It almost makes you ask the question, 'Would it have been better if we hadn't invented the Internet?
Wow. Why would a widely-respected, seasoned and even-keeled U.S. Senator raise such a provocative question? The obvious answer is that his extensive experience as Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee strongly suggests to him that the wide open nature of the Internet creates extremely serious security vulnerabilities that most people don't even begin to appreciate.
Now the excellent question that John Markoff of the New York Times asked in the headline of his very important article: "Do We Need a New Internet?" is not the off-base question that his critics tried to imply, but is dead-on point.
It also brings home the chilling assessment of the Internet's original design made recently by the co-father of the Internet, and Google's Internet Evangelist, Vint Cerf.
"It's every man for himself," he says, grinning. "In the end, it seems every machine has to defend itself. The internet was designed that way."
In sum, why is the security and safety of the cybrastructure is so critically important now?
In the past cybersecurity was not elevated to a high enough priority.
The explosive growth in people, devices and information connected to the Internet naturally produces an exponential increase in vulnerability points for bad actors to exploit.
Our increasingly universal cybrastructure is arguably more important to protect than any individual infrastructure, because it is the internet's cybrastructure that ultimately brings all digitally-enabled infrastructures and systems together into one converged omni-system.
The ironic thing is that the military industrial complex developed the internet and now its controllers will now be defeated by it.
The irony of all this is hyterical.   Grin Grin Grin
1:53:00 - 1:56:00  Jay Rockefeller on Internet - cspan 2
Cyber security hearing tomorrow. He says.
 I mean it's individual acts. It doesn't require a sleeper cell, ammonia, explosives, it's just an act. And yet it's an act which can shut this country down, it's electricity system, banking system, shutdown about anything we have to offer. It's an awesome problem.
Hell, in the latter case lately Jay's latter suggestion sounds more like a golden opportunity to at least partially secure and safeguard the remainder of our nation's long term economic security than a problem to me!
The problem with the banking system seems to be the way it is 'working'
From what I understand in this section we do expect a false flag by the ptech complex on government IT, have Obama on TV explaining the internet will go into a "internet holiday" to sort the self inflicted mess out and then they'll "reboot" the internet, but in order to be part of it you have to accept/pay for the "secure" IPv6 standart, which then will block freespeech, alternative media and the like under the blanket of "keeping the new internet clean and tidy"?
Is that the scenario, we're looking at?
Gee where were all those 'fearsome and dangerous' unemployed Latvian geek hackers when we really needed them to "shut down" the Fed last year?  This is ridiculous, a website goes down so you drive to the bank or an ATM -where's this "internet switch" to turn off the Fed?
Meanwhile we have the 'moral hazard argument' that plagued the bailout and the AIG contract problem that protected the AIG pirates buckets of gold bonuses.
First off we do not have a bunch of IANA futures derivative traders selling domain name contract bonds that were bundled into insured securities and bought held or traded by banks as assets to go bankrupt with. Every Domain Name Registration and Registrar is pretty much a self sustaining profitable enterprise with only small, no or only rare and unusual debt. So how is the government to take over all of these private carriers (internationally) business and under what pressing economic pretense?
Then we have the issue of contract law where IANA and the Registrars all have binding contracts to host DNS services for individuals and private businesses  how can a government rescind such private domain name rental and hosting contracts?
Then we have the matter of the intellectual properties of domain name assets which belong, free and clear to hundreds of thousands of individuals and companies corporations and small businesses each equally entitled to be the next yahoo or google if they will, how does a government compensate these domain name holders for the communal socialist confiscation of their property?
Then there is the matter of the US Taliban Ministry of Virtue and Vice! Who is to be the arbiter of what is claen and unclean or tidy and untidy? Is this the 'freedom' that our dear young children are dying for every day in Afghanistan? Surely the courts would be overwhelmed.
Then there is the matter of carrier monopolism and the Combines Act.
Then there is the matter of IPV6 being no more than a microsoft-type  thunker bandage on top of the old IPV4 infrastructure such that it is fully backward compatible and not a brick wall. In fact it's purpose is to offer trillions of more IP addresses for billions of more hosts and clients on the same network node infrastructure, and is ludicrous to employ to have less!
The real danger of IPV6 is in it affording networkers the new luxuries of allowing static-only client side logins, such that every user can be authenticated and keep a unique IP address more easily since they no longer need to be shared as much, but only newer latest and greatest OS's support it! There will always be the free WiFi issue and cloned mac spoofing and IP tunneling and ghost proxy servers etc, so even that is not a corollary.
These politicians are so stupid they make me roar with laughter, just like their Red Chinese heroes!
If you want security you employ security and don't use your dogs, your streets or your mothers or fave prophets name as a password...
And if you do something bad without masking your IP address you are an idiot. Sure they can censor a DNS server or two just tunnel outside the realms of the domains of tyranny to a http proxy and use another uncensored one in a place of freedom.
couple of comments on agentbluescreen's statements. First the general IT infrastructure of most companies on the net is a hell of a lot more secure than most people - especially Jay will have you believe.
While yes it is possible to find sites with un-secure code this is not a reflection of most sites and systems on the net.
There are many websites that are so secure that even trying to probe them will get you in trouble and a very nasty letter automatically generated and sent off to your ISP.
To top that off the government networks are capable of defending against every known attack possible as per articles posted by Anti Illuminati  .....
Jay is an asshole and lending even the slightest bit of credence to the idea that he is right when his CIA is the group primarily responsible for 98% of all internet crime is completely idiotic and belligerent...
Honestly is there any good reason to support some one who is announcing the next major false flag even and  all the while blaming it on us (the truth movement) at the same time?
Lastly this is  in no way a joking matter... As the research Sane Anti Illuminati and I have put together has shown this attack could conservatively kill several 10s of millions .
Think about that. This isn't just the loss of the internet this is an attack that will kill a vast number of people in one fell swoop.
For those that don't  remember the 2003 blackout read over this as A REFRESHER:
http://www.globalsecurity.org/eye/blackout_2003.htm
Great Northeast Power Blackout of 2003
On August 14, 2003, parts of the Northeastern United States and Southeastern Canada experienced widespread power blackouts. The US states of New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts were affected.
Among the major urban agglomerations touched by the electrical power outage in the United States were the cities of New York City, Albany, Buffalo in New York, Cleveland and Columbus in Ohio, and Detroit. Ottawa and Toronto in Canada were also affected.
Power was suddenly lost around 4pm Eastern Standard Time. The blackout resulted in the shutting down of nuclear power plants in New York state and Ohio, and air traffic was slowed as flights into affected airports were halted. Terrorism was quickly ruled out as a cause for the incident by federal authorities. Approximately 50 million people were affected by the outage.
The cause of the outage was still being debated the following day, as efforts were still underway to retore power to affected areas. Industry and government experts were appearing to place the blame on an outdated interconneting grid system.
Previous incidents include the November 9, 1965 outage caused by a faulty relay at a power plant in Ontario, and which affected a large swath of land stretching from Toronto to New York. Another one followed on July 14, 1977, as a result of a lightning strike, which affected New York City. The power supply in nine western US states were also affected in August 1996 as a result of a high demand for electricity, a heat wave and sagging electrical power lines.
The images below were made by the orbiting Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) satellite over regions of the world at night. They were released by the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration and the US Air Force Weather Agency.
The DMSP is a Department of Defense (DoD) program run by the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC). The Defense Meteorological Satellite Program satellites carry the Operational Linescan System (OLS) in low-altitude polar orbits. These satellites record nighttime data. The Operational Linescan System has a unique low-light imaging capability developed for the detection of clouds using moonlight. In addition to moonlit clouds, the OLS also detects lights from human settlements,fires, gas flares, heavily lit fishing boats, lightning and the aurora. It is possible to distinguish four primary types of lights present at the earth's surface: human settlements, fires, gas flares, and fishing boats.
http://dmsp.ngdc.noaa.gov/pres/low_light_120701/index.html
http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/viewrecord?5826
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now think about that blackout  except it covers the whole country - perhaps even all of North America. Then just let it last for  a few weeks.... You realize that after but a week of no power many people will start to die ? right?

Ok this is what we are talking about.
No power No internet none of that for  weeks possibly longer.

That makes the gravity of this attack far greater than just the loss of the internet.

These are human lives at stake here people...

Jay Rockefeller can't even pour his own bowl of cereal, same with David. They want to be the architects to bring down the internet, that's seriously pretty funny. No one is going to bring down the internet unless it's through an individual program on everyone's PC. The people that run the internet in the big data centers know how safe it is. The infrastructure is built to last 100's of years. The only way to physically take out the internet is in pieces and they don't have the manpower. Technology is moving way to fast for these dinosaurs and their chauffeurs, i love karma, it was bound to happen sometime!

I think to have any government job or position you have to not only have a valid drivers license but also be able to drive a car. Also, be able to pour your own bowl of cereal. Rockefellers aren't men, they have no clue what it's like to actually be a man. They think they do though with their mastery over humanity and their big decisions and their trillions of dollars but they are no more a man than a dog that gets fed at a bowl every morning.

I like what that article says. It's basically what i was thinking in the first place. Universities, hospitals and infrastructure always get the good connections first, why? because it's like comparing your public library to your university library. Damn i think the university here got t1's when i still had my 56k and that was a long time ago..

Anyway, evil scheme or not, who is to say that the person in command of this AI super weapon of the future the "GIG" won't say find Rockefeller asap, deploy helicopter, destroy target. same thing for all these treasonous bastardos. Then the world can breathe a sigh of relief. They are playing with a double edged sword. Americans are very patriotic even when they don't seem like it. That's why they put goons that weren't born in America in high office.

Side note:Look at jay rockerfellers hands in the cspan video, haha, that's how you tell that man has never done a hard days work in his life. I bet his wife loves him, probably does the pool boy. seriously 2 of his fingers are like one of mine.

I,m new here, but I have been studdying 911 since 2002. Not possible with australian media, only the net
provides the real truth. And what a day of vindication for me!! Diebold has admitted major flaws in it's software that let Bush & co. hy jack the 2004 election, not that Kerry was a great alternative being Bush's cousin, but for me, today means my wife no longer considers me a conspiracy theorist, great to think that only 5 years after the event the truth outs, because of the dogged determination of all those splendid people who uphold the yankee constitution. A document admired by all thinking Ausies, not too many of those around anymore, as we are ranked at about minus 35 in the free media of the world. Where
did I find out all this? on the net. So Mr. Rockerfeller, if you disslike the internet so much, just don't look at it, continue on the path of the NWO with your'e mates at skull & bones, we won't disturb you.
I know i'm preaching to the converted as I'm writing this, but to the un convinced, IT'S REAL.
Dear Yanks, uphold your'e constitution, throw out Barry Soetero or whatever his name is.
As 911 was an inside job, so was the terrible events in port Arthur that led to nation wide gun laws here.

Jay Rockefeller Channels Dick Cheney's Fear-Mongering to Urge Telecom Amnesty
http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/10/31/4934
Published on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 by Salon.com
by Glenn Greenwald

Leading telecom advocate Fred Hiatt this morning turned over his Washington Post Op-Ed page today to leading telecom advocate Jay Rockefeller, the Democratic Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman, to explain why it is so "unfair and unwise" to allow telecoms to be sued for breaking the law. Just as all Bush followers do when they want to "justify" lawbreaking, Rockefeller's entire defense is principally based on one argument: 9/11, 9/11, 9/11. Thus he melodramatically begins:
In the immediate aftermath of Sept. 11, the Bush administration had a choice: Aggressively pursue potential terrorists using existing laws or devise new, secret intelligence programs in uncharted legal waters. . . .

Within weeks of the 2001 attacks, communications companies received written requests and directives for assistance with intelligence activities authorized by the president. These companies were assured that their cooperation was not only legal but also necessary because of their unique technical capabilities. They were also told it was their patriotic duty to help protect the country after the devastating attacks on our homeland.
Using 9/11 to "justify" telecom amnesty is not only manipulative, but also completely misleading. Telecoms did not merely break the law in the intense days and weeks following the 9/11 attacks. Had they done only that, there would almost certainly be no issue. Indeed, the lead counsel in the AT&T case, Cindy Cohn, said in the podcast interview I conducted with her last week that had telecoms enabled illegal surveillance only in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks -- but then thereafter demanded that the surveillance be conducted legally -- EFF almost certainly would not have sued at all.

But that isn't what happened. Both the Bush administration and the telecoms jointly broke the law for years. Even as we moved further and further away from the 9/11 attacks, neither the administration nor the telecoms bothered to comply with the law. The administration was too interested in affirming the theory that the President could exercise power without limits, and the telecoms were too busy reaping the great profits from their increasingly close relationship with the Government.

The 9/11 attacks could be a coherent (though not persuasive) defense to lawless surveillance on September 13, 2001 or even on October 13, 2001 -- but not throughout 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and into 2007. That is nothing more than deliberate lawbreaking motivated by limitless power (in the case of Bush) and swelling profits (in the case of telecoms). Rockefeller's exploitation of 9/11 and "patriotism" to justify years of illegal spying is shameless in the extreme, and the only thing "unfair and unwise" is to pass laws with no purpose other than to relieve the lawbreakers of all consequences.

Rockefeller continues:
As the operational details of the program remain highly classified, the companies are prevented from defending themselves in court. And if we require them to face a mountain of lawsuits, we risk losing their support in the future.
Here again, Rockefeller is doing nothing more than dutifully reciting the standard Bush script used time and again to "justify" lawbreaking: illegal behavior must be allowed because it is paramount that everything remain secret. Thus, we must allow lawbreakers to be free -- when they torture, abduct innocent people, spy on Americans with no warrants -- because what they did, even though it's against the law, is Secret.

Rockefeller's assertions here are again totally misleading. Courts review classified material all the time. FISA and other laws specifically contain safeguards to ensure that courts can prosecute and otherwise adjudicate lawbreaking while ensuring that genuinely classified information remains concealed. As Cohn explained: "the FISA law has very strict limitations, and allows the judge to exercise a lot of discretion, to keep things that are legimitately national security secrets, secret."

Moreover, the critical facts demonstrating the illegal surveillance here are already public. The Bush administration has admitted openly that it spied on Americans without warrants (which is illegal) and EFF has obtained the AT&T documents detailing its illegal cooperation with the NSA in establishing a domestic dragnet.

Rockefeller's argument is also corrupt because, if accepted, it would mean that high government officials and corporations have a general license to violate our intelligence and surveillance laws with impunity (which is exactly what they have had over the past six years). Lawbreakers have the Jay Rockefellers and Fred Hiatts of our Beltway elite to insist that they cannot be punished because the illegal activities in which they engaged must stay secret.

And that really brings us to the heart of the matter. Rockefeller, Hiatt and their friends plainly see themselves -- along with the telecom executives and lobbyists who flatter and feast them and are their peers and colleagues and friends -- as our elite vanguard. They know best, and when they break the law, it is for our own good. "Laws" are for the masses, to keep social order, to ensure that the Rockefellers and Hiatts can rule in peace and telecom executives can develop their extremely profitable relationships with government agencies without being bothered by "unfair" disruptions, such as court proceedings when they break the law.

"Punishment" for lawbreaking is not for them. Rockefeller -- with his wise and genetically implanted noblesse oblige -- has looked at everything in Secret and knows that there was nothing wrong here. And that's all we need to know. We should place faith in his Judgment that there need be no further examination of what his telecom contributors did. No court proceedings or judges need look at any of this because Jay Rockefeller has adjudged, in secret with Dick Cheney, that telecoms should be protected. Just marvel at these self-loving, patronizing assurances:
Over the past year, the Senate intelligence committee has examined this issue, along with the need to bring the warrantless surveillance program within the law. We closely studied the facts, the documents and the alternatives to liability for the companies. Ultimately, we concluded that if we subject companies to lawsuits when doing so is patently unfair, we will forfeit industry as a crucial tool in our national defense. . . .

Unfortunately, immunity for communications companies has become a cause celebre for opponents of the surveillance program as a whole, and that has led to widespread confusion.
The growing anger over efforts to protect lawbreaking telecoms is nothing more than a "cause celebre." We're just "confused," misdirecting our unbridled, unsophisticated rage to the poor, innocent telecoms. It is up to the Serious Rulers -- Rockefeller and Hiatt and Cheney and Jamie Gorelick -- to protect these executives from the wild masses who are starting to become restless with their childish, confused ideas about how telecoms shouldn't be given license to break what we used to call "the law."

Rockefeller ends his Op-Ed how he began: with condescending deceit. "Lawsuits against the government can go forward," he says, showing how tough he is by declaring: "we rejected the White House's year-long push for blanket immunity covering government officials."

But Rockefeller knows this is untrue. Lawsuits against the government almost certainly cannot proceed. The Bush administration continuously invokes the "state secrets" privilege to compel courts to dismiss any such suits brought against the Government. Worse, because no individual citizens can prove that they were subjected to this illegal surveillance -- because Rockefeller and his friends in the administraiton have ensured that it all has stayed completely secret -- no plaintiff, as the Sixth Circuit has ruled, has "standing" to proceed in NSA lawsuits against the Government.

Thus, amnesty for lawbreaking telecoms would not mean that "we hold government officials accountable for mistakes or wrongdoing." It would mean the opposite. The Cheney-Rockefeller amnesty would strangle to death the sole remaining mechanism for obtaining a judicial ruling as to whether Bush broke the law with his various illegal NSA spying programs. It would be the final nail in the coffin in the attempt to ensure accountability for this lawbreaking.

And Rockefeller knows that, despite his patronizing claims to the contrary. After all, if he were serious about ensuring that Bush officials face consequences for their illegal spying, his bill would include mechanisms to ensure that they cannot invoke legal tactics (states secrets and "standing") to prevent courts from ruling on what they did.

Revealingly, his bill contains no such provisions. Thus, it would simultaneously protect telecoms from being held accountable in courts while allowing Bush officials to continue to shield themselves from legal accountability. It is nothing more noble than an enabling act for government and corporate lawlessness.

Finally, Rockefeller closes with the only other tool in the Bush arsenal: fear-mongering to "justify" lawbreaking. If we do not give amnesty to telecoms, he warns in his most ominous tone, "our intelligence collection could come to a screeching halt" and "the impact would be devastating to the intelligence community, the Justice Department and military officials who are hunting down our enemies." In other words, he tells us -- in his best Cheney impression --unless we give amnesty to his telecom contributors, Al Qaeda will kill us all. That is what his Op-Ed repeatedly asserts.

Again, this argument is so misleading as to be insulting. FISA and other laws already contain amnesty if telecoms can show they acted in good faith. When telecoms comply with the law, they don't get sued. They get sued only when they violate their legal duties to their customers and the country by engaging in exactly the behavior which the American people, through their Congress, decided to prohibit in the form of our "laws."

We want "private industry" -- and government officials -- to be incentivized to abide by our laws, not to break them. That's just so basic. Telecoms will continue to have enormous incentive to cooperate with legal surveillance requests: namely, they earn enormous profits when they receive government contracts for such surveillance. Problems arise only when they break the law, and that's how things work -- or at least are supposed to work -- in a country that lives under "the rule of law."

Rockefeller's bill rewards deliberate lawbreaking. His amnesty gift further bolsters the image he and Fred Hiatt and friends have of America whereby our most powerful Beltway officials and our most lobbyist-protected corporations can break laws with total impunity. No matter how many times Rockefeller and Cheney scream "9/11" and "Terrorists!," the most basic principles of "the rule of law" demand that telecoms and Bush officials -- like everyone else -- be held accountable when they break the law.

Glenn Greenwald was previously a constitutional law and civil rights litigator in New York. He is the author of the New York Times Bestselling book "How Would a Patriot Act?," a critique of the Bush administration's use of executive power, released in May 2006. His second book, "A Tragic Legacy", examines the Bush legacy.
