SEC. 1304. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.

Section 125 (42 U.S.C. 12575) is amended to read as follows:

‘SEC. 125. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.

‘(a) Prohibited Activities- A participant in an approved national service position under this subtitle may not engage in the following activities:

‘(1) Attempting to influence legislation.

‘(2) Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes.

‘(3) Assisting, promoting, or deterring union organizing.

‘(4) Impairing existing contracts for services or collective bargaining agreements.

‘(5) Engaging in partisan political activities, or other activities designed to influence the outcome of an election to any public office.

‘(6) Participating in, or endorsing, events or activities that are likely to include advocacy for or against political parties, political platforms, political candidates, proposed legislation, or elected officials.

‘(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.

‘(8) Providing a direct benefit to--

‘(A) a business organized for profit;

‘(B) a labor organization;

‘(C) a partisan political organization;

‘(D) a nonprofit organization that fails to comply with the restrictions contained in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 except that nothing in this section shall be construed to prevent participants from engaging in advocacy activities undertaken at their own initiative; and

‘(E) an organization engaged in the religious activities described in paragraph (7), unless Corporation assistance is not used to support those religious activities.

‘(9) Conducting a voter registration drive or using Corporation funds to conduct a voter registration drive.

‘(10) Such other activities as the Corporation may prohibit.

Yes, i have written to my congrssman and senator.

Will it make a difference? Cynical , Ok, admitted, no argument.

Will the majority listen, or will they remain in the safety of their desired illusion. Will the many back the current regime wether by fear motivation, insecurity, ignorence, blind patriotism, or a desire to close their eyes to the truth.

The fat lady will sing, yes, the element of truth will be injected into our society only when the light of truth is but blinding the braindead, when the poverty can not be escaped, when their children are placed in national service, when their homes are lost and their tents need repair. When hunger and illness spread, then and only then will Americans feel the loss of freedom and the hammer of tyrany.

I did not mean to rant, i am obviously upset, i see history repeating itself, the only difference being this is not Nazi Germany. In a sence the politicians gave up on the people as well as their oath. the majority of our citizenry have proven to our masters they are but sheep to be led to the slaughter, mindless flagwavers given to a dillsuionsal beleif that it can not happen here.

The Bailout Bill went to the stockholders of the federal reserve (Citibank, Bank of America, etc.).  These are not the true controllers of the federal reserve, they are Rockefeller/Rothschild/Beatrix.  The Bailout bill passed while 99.99% of the American people were against it.

I just want to probe a little  more on cybersecurity because  when you say the current and the  past director of national  intelligence says the number one  national security threat, that  is a show-stopper, and people  don't believe it. 
Business doesn't believe it. 
The big ones do and they're  trying to do something about it. 
You mentioned NIST. 
Several thoughts come to mind. 
They set the standards for all this. 
I remember when i'd been on this  committee about two years, now  been on it 24 years. 
I went out out to nist and they  said they hadn't seen a senator  there in five years it raises a  couple of questions for me. 
Number one, your scope is so broad. 
I mean, recently West Virginia  is not exactly famed for its  ocean capacity, but on the other  hand the port of Huntington is the 7th largest operating port in the United States of America,  including Baltimore and Los Angeles and all the rest of  them. 
Because of the Ohio river. 
And the coast guard has become a  matter of enormous interest to  me in protecting the power plants and chemical plants, et cetera, up and down the Ohio river which back up to the river  because they need to water. 
There aren't enough coast guard  boats, speed boats with gun capacity out there to make any  real significant difference. 
So, one of the problems i think  in the commerce department is that there are so many agencies  that do such crucial work that  don't get attention, and it --  two things occur to me, number one, obviously, NIST  relationship to cybersecurity. 
What -- how does one fully  describe it? 
And secondly, keeping good  people. 
I'm not sure -- i mean, i think  here's an enormous surge of public commitment to national service. 
We're going to pass the national service bill. 
The president wants one. 
I think most of us do. 
I was on the list of volunteers. 
But the desire for national  security is enormous,
but it tends to be in the under 50 group or
the under 40 group,
and the professionals who work in key positions at the places like NIST,
which has been flat-line  budgeted for a number of years,  keeping them, keeping the people who can help us formulate a  policy on cybersecurity, is incredibly important and one of  the things i worry about across  government is keeping our very best people, that way will come  to feel there's too much and  they -- after some sort of false starts, the bar now for being allowed to serve in government in a high position is so high that i think it's actively discouraging people from wanting to participate. 
People are looking for reasons  not to serve in government, even  though their instinct is to  serve in government because they  have a new sense of commitment  to the nation and their obligation to the nation. 
So these things clash.

Well if everyone was doing as they should be doing it would not matter what "law" they passed in the house and senate because if every state would simply say..This is a violation of the constitution and we will not comply nor compel our citizens to comply they would have a hell of a time implementing these stupid laws..Are we targeting the wrong people? i've been sending info on bills to all the local news outlets here.  i mean i know they probably aren't gonna do a story on it, but it might wake some people up. 

the congressmen and women who are voting this shit through don't want to be exposed.  they know 95% of their constituents don't have a freaking clue.  they use that to their benefit.  they know what they're doing, but they don't want anyone else catching on.   i'm hoping for local exposure which might at least help slow the process.
