he has punked so many people, I think it was a BS low blow, but RP is not phased by the whole thing in the least and has just stayed on message. He has done this even though the MSM tried to up-play this obvious practical joke where RP remained the statesman through and through.

Yeah, i know, that combined with what he did to eminem a few weeks ago, and I'm no longer a Sacha Baron Cohen fan. What he did to Ron Paul was like hocking up a loogie in George Washington's face, it was just unbelievably disrespectful.

I bet you some gay rights groups are going to go nuts and make a big deal out of this right before it hits theaters. They'll probably spin it and say that Paul is Homophobic and racist. They'll bring up that old newsletter issue that dug up durring the campaign.

Ron Paul really needs to take a stance one way or the other on the gay issue. As a self professed Christian, there is only one stance to take. He has been overly diplomatic on the subject so far.
He just doesn't like homosexuality, so what? BUT, it doesn't even matter, because it's not like Ron Paul is going to prevent a gay dude fro doing something, or force them to do something. Ron's message is to live and let live. Freedom works!

This is such an non issue,no actually what this is,is a very shrewd publicity stunt,Ron Paul's people are well aware what kinda people makes up his support base. Are we to believe that nobody close to Ron Paul knew of Ali G or Borat whatsoever I'm definitely not convinced.Very smart indeed. You think it's a Ron Paul publicity stunt?

If a guy would drop his pants and shake his ass at me, I would have kicked him in the nuts. It was unfair to those involved. Funny? Maybe. Ron took it well as he does everything. He did what we would have expected him to do. Just proves he's a great man. He even joked about it. I think it would have been funnier if he would have let him in on the joke. I'm sure Ron would have played along. Anyway, Ron wins this one.

Baron Cohen (partly) exposes Mi6 plot to shame Harrods owner whose son died with Princess Diana and subsequently stated it was a government plot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0UpVA3AZb0#Baron Cohen/Ali G/Borat/Bruno does not just target anti-NWO politicians for comedy...he has equally ripped into pro-NWO FBI & SWAT agents, astronaughts, government drug advisors etc I have seen him around before, he has friends in a town near me and he used to DJ at a pub near the home of a family member...he has been on British TV for over a decade, but for Borat & Bruno he had to go to America where he is less known and so people take him more seriously in person. Brits are well aware of the kind of societal commentary he provides & I really, really, really do not think the Ron Paul scene is a 'conspiracy' Ron Paul came off well and probably won respect for this, any Neocon would play nice for the sake of political correctness

For me, I think it is sad that people find this sort of stuff; A) Funny B) Entertaining. I find it neither funny nor entertaining. Maybe I am old fashioned but I was just saying to my husband the other day that comedies are no longer funny. Maybe it's because I am older now and don't find "ShockUmentaries" something I would pay my hard earned money to see, just because "everyone" is talking about it or maybe I am just getting cynical as I age?
I know Ron Paul is a decent upstanding statesman and family man, most congressmen/women couldn't hold a candle to this man's integrity. For all those people who think he ought to sue, I say phooey! Ron Paul has a much more daunting task with pushing for an auditing of the fed and mere distractions like this only impede his efforts.
And maybe I am taking things too seriously anymore but you know the clock is ticking folks--tyranny is at our doors--we can either fight it (not get so distracted) or let it in (with sideshows distractions) a choice, while we still have any to make, is up to us!!

To the sheeple, they just see a politician on the screen for 5 mins. "good time to refill the popcorn" They dont know who ron paul is. a big budget Hollywood movie is a TON of exposure(no pun intended) for dr paul. Good move imo.
Remember, movies are entertainment....illusion. From reading some of these posts, it seems as though some of you believe this scene was "real". Regardless of how much of the scene was scripted and/or improvised, or how much Paul knew ahead of time, Cohen cannot use Dr Pauls(or anybodys) image to earn federal reserve notes without their permission. In fact, Dr. Paul was probably paid for his roll in the film, just like any actor. Sometime during production, Dr Paul and the Producers of the movie had to sign some type of legal contract that releases the footage. get real people.
its just a movie. its not reality. snap out of it yalls. rofl.

I don't think this was a specific attempt or plot to smear Ron Paul. Sasha is just like that, he'll punk anyone. Borat was crazy, he got tons of people to show their racist colors and sang some crazy lyrics to the tune of our national anthem at a rodeo show in the deep south - I'm surprised he left alive lol
Like ppl are saying, this is a comedy and isn't meant to be taken seriously. The joke was kind of tasteless but that's Sasha for you.
I've seen Bruno on the Ali - G show before and if the movie is half as crazy as the show I'm going to laugh my ass off.

I seem to agree; Sacha claims it's supposed to expose hatred, but I feel it's a form of entrapment. Didn't find Ali G to be all that funny, but Borat and Brüno seem to make me laugh in places, mainly due to the poor fools who came into contact whith those characters.

He was having a normal interview and Sasha pulled his pants down, then Ron pushed him out of the way called him a sick queer and got the hell out. That part was not funny at all, the joke was suppose to be that Bruno thought he was Ru Paul. Made ron look all bad ass for 73 or w/e.
side note, as I was leaving the parking lot the guy in front of me had his back bumper covered in Ron Paul stickers.
