Source: audio-only from PrisonPlanet.tv 448kbps/44khz video stream. The audio was extracted to .wav with VLC. The volume of the .wav was leveled with The Levelator. The .wav was encoded to a 64kb/s 44.1khz vbr mp3 with RazorLame (-b 8 -m m -h -V 5 -B 64). The commercials were cut with MP3DirectCut, and the result was ID3-tagged. This file turns out smaller than the pp.tv mp3, with better volume, tags, and only a few MB larger than the other inferior-sounding podcast available elsewhere.
