Even though you and I don't need them, not everyone can pay for a pp.tv account. Maybe Bermas' show is available HQ commercial-free without a pay account, but I'm not aware of it. I will continue to upload as long as they are downloaded.  Before I paid for a pp.tv account, I loved downloading the commercial-free AJ off ThePirateBay.  That's the reason I ended up becoming a pp.tv subscriber. This is a way to make a HQ commercial-free version of Bermas' show available to people who aren't (yet!) members of pp.tv.

Here's last night's show:
Broadcast Date: Thursday March 5, 2009
Release Date:   Friday March 6, 2009

Source: PrisonPlanet.tv HQ commercial-free podcast 64kb/s
The source file was downsampled in WinLAME to a 40kb/s vbr mp3 and the result was ID3-tagged.
Please download and seed the torrent at http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4754047. For those of you who don't use BitTorrent, the direct download is here http://www.filedropper.com/the-info-warrior-20090305-thu.  The direct download probably won't be available for long, but ThePirateBay link will last longer.

I for one THANK YOU NOSEN!!

Even though pp.tv is pretty cheap I can't afford it at this time. And I do like to hear these shows. I work at night and listen to them at work. (burning them to cdrw's) - Here in SE Oklahoma it's difficult to find anything on radio. For C2C I have to listen to a station out of New Orleans!! (They don't know what talk radio is here, I guess!) Maybe someday I can afford the pptv and also put up a micro-power station! (dreaming again!! darnit)

jimwill: I'm glad you like it. Sorry that you guys don't have much talk radio around there.  Almost 100% of the media I consume now is stuff I've downloaded: movies, TV, audio.  Between the AJS, Bermas, AJ's audio-podcasts, Tarpley's weekly show, Koernke, DemocracyNow, WhatReallyHappened, and other News-type stuff, I don't even think about watching actual TV or listening to live over-the-air radio.  We're lucky there are so many alternatives.

For now - that's why I'm worried about internet 2!
I don't have ANY television signal - I refuse to pay either satellite company to let me watch their advertisements! (which used to pay for broadcast tv!) I do have a TV with a DVD player and VHS player. There are no direct tv signals in this area. But I watch it about 2 or 3 times a year. usually use it to check DVD's I burn.

jimwill: I have no TV reception, cable, or satellite here either.  I do have my TV hooked up to my computer though, which is great for watching movies and watching AJ or Bermas live!  Also there are lots of ways to download any network/cable TV shows and any films/documentaries to watch on my TV too.  I'm very happy with the setup.

I agree - I seldom miss MSM tv. Although my family and friends think I need to put padding on my walls! Cheesy

It does make it difficult to talk to the other people who are hypnotized by their tv's. (currently I cannot talk about politics in my brother-in-law's house - they think Obama is the greatest thing since sliced bread! and nothing will change their minds!)

There really is no such excuse that 'i can't afford a pp.tv membership' which is complete BULL. If you buy a starbucks coffee ONCE a month you can afford it. As a young person I went to a money mart, bought a pre-paid credit card put some money on it and then bought a year membership. There is NO excuse in my opinion not to support the AJS if you use its services.
Since you have the PP.tv membership why not just save yourself a heap of time by just downloading the 64Kb commercial-free audio blog and then creating a torrent from it. Remember each time you re-encode an mp3 you progressively degrade the quality each time.

vCFy7W3SFb: This is an effort to spread the Truth message to new people rather than preaching to the choir.  Yes, people who already listen to AJ regularly should buy a PP.tv membership. I agree with you. But I wouldn't expect anyone to buy a pp.tv membership, or buy into any of this information, until they've been exposed to it.

Having easy access to good quality, commercial free, podcasts is what got me listening to AJ. After a while the information took root, I became interested in supporting Infowars, and I purchased a membership.

Yes, I could just listen to the 64kbs podcast since I have a membership.  I do that!  But I want other people to have access to the podcasts too.  I'm not as interested in persuading people to give money to Infowars.  If they listen, reasearch, and understand what is going on then they will want to support the movement.  I'm just trying to make it easy for them to listen.

Since you have the PP.tv membership why not just save yourself a heap of time by just downloading the 64Kb commercial-free audio blog and then creating a torrent from it. Remember each time you re-encode an mp3 you progressively degrade the quality each time.

I don't torrent the pp.tv mp3 without processing it first. The pp.tv file has no ID3 tag on it.  If you try to do anything with an untagged mp3 file on a portable device, it's very hard to deal with.  So I choose to add ID3 information. As far as the bitrate: transcoding the pp.tv mp3 takes about 30 seconds for me.  However, it results in a file that downloads in 50% less time than the 64kbs file.  I've done listening comparisons and the quality of my file is totally superior to the really low quality GCN Podcast.  It's a compromise.

Thanks for your feedback.

You can get an ID3 tag editor that will edit the tags without having to re-encode the files. And an rss-feed for torrents is basically on-par or superior to a podcast. Just in torrent client, subscribe to user's feed on mininova, everytime you upload a newscast the subscriber will automatically download the mp3. It's the next-best-thing to a real podcast. I hate itunes anyways, so I use my own thing.

I must not have been clear. I use an ID3 editor to tag the file.  I transcode to a lower bitrate to expedite the download process. They are two separate issues.

The idea of "podcasting" (having an rss subscription to download audio) is not exclusive to iTunes.  I also dislike iTunes.  Anybody, with a decent torrent client containing an integrated RSS reader, can "subscribe" to any torrent site that has the right .xml code for rss.

Is there a suggestion you have for how I could be doing this better? Or are you going to continue with deconstructive criticism, poo-pooing every aspect of what I'm doing?

yes i just figured it out as well. we need to make some sort of script that does this shit automatically because it's a pain because they have to manually update the main page by hand it seems. there should be no reason to do the 'little hack' predictive urls to get the download page.

i went and made an account with mininova but when i uploaded i received a false-positive ban from uploading with them anymore. i think its because i put a $ sign in the description and it triggered the ban. i also made an account with the piratebay but something is wrong with their emailing servers i never got the confirmation email and they wont send me the password reset email either ! i guess i can try with sumotorrent.

Did you ever post your sumotorrent link?  I haven't seen it yet.

Yeah I don't know what the f**k seriously is going on (conspiracy against me or something) but for instance, I created a mininova account, uploaded the torrent, got banned from uploading anything.
Created a piratebay account, uploaded the torrent, it worked on their site for 5 minutes, then the torrent was deleted and my account was deleted as well (wtf again)
I created a demonoid account, uploaded the torrent like 5 times each time it didn't upload (wtf again, and yes I followed all the rules and added the demonoid file into the torrent)
I couldnt load the sumotorrent site. There was something wrong with it this week, nothing worked.

I ended up by doing an anonymous torrent upload on fenopy.com and that's the only one that worked. So officially mine is now on ISOHunt and is the oldest one in the list if you draw a search
http://isohunt.com/torrents?ihq=obama+deception
The.Obama.Deception.DVDRip.WMV-PRiSONPLANeT

And there is a torrent their that claims to be an x264, again by people who don't know what they are talking about the .mov is a ridiculously horrible encode, and it's MPEG-4 not x264 .

Infowarrior w/ Jason Bermas Commercial Free 48k mp3 031309  I may have missed a commercial break at the beginning.  Also, I'm sorry, but I hate his bumper music in general and cut as much music out as possible, enjoy.

I'm glad people are downloading it.  I'm considering posting AJ's show commercial free right after the AJ show ends each day, but I'm not sure about it yet.
