I was taken aback today, while I was talking to a coworker. The Issue of taxes and global warming came up. I tried to explain how the "man made global warming" theory was a fraud. She stated "you are waisting your time with me on this issue you won't convince me". Earlier I tried to explain the the fed was private and another person stated "the fed is not private because the president appoints the board members" end of argument. I had argument before the election that the Obama "truth squad" was in the least a conflict of interest if not in fact illegal by using DA's. They said that "Obama was perfectly within his rights to go after anyone lieing about him".

I'm just trying to deal with the fact that people are so brainwashed that they refuse ANY evidence against what they are told by the media. I'm beginning to think most people are a lost cause because of the TV's dominance. Are we not deluding ourselves in posting here as we are mostly just preaching to the quire? It seems that the real life experience I'm having is convincing me that people will not listen  no mater what type of evidence you can present. They will simply refuse to look at it. we keep saying that they will wake up when times get tough, but some of these people are really having tough times already. Will they still refuse to see until the day they die?

I'm really starting to get depressed because the brainwashing seems to be completely impenetrable. No matter what I do or say will it make any difference in the end? Would my efforts be better spent just trying to prepare for myself? Are truth seekers only awake because they were already seeking out the truth?

I'm sure it will make "a" difference, so it's only a question of whether it will make the degree and/or kind of difference you'd like it to.

If everyone around you is an authority-worshipping know-it-all, then yes.

Are truth seekers only awake because they were already seeking out the truth?

In a word, yes.

I classify people into three general categories: (a) those who are already awake, (b) those who--while not currently awake--can be awoken due to their basic desire for truth, and (c) those who can't be awoken, because there's nothing to wake up.

Thanks I needed that.  Well maybe I need to seek out others that are awake (find some cadres). If you are working alone then you are just going it alone. If you are with another then you are stronger for it. This is probably because we get stronger and have more resolve when we are sticking up for each other. I just need to find some of those people. They maybe hiding because of the social pressures to conform or shut up.
