Echelon Conspiracy is a movie coming out. It looks like Eagle eye 2 and will probably be horrid. Anyways this seems to be one the first movies that acknowledges this wiretapping computer system, though they probably take a movie quality to it.

I first heard of the Echelon program back around the late 1990s off of all places... Mancow Morning Madhouse, when he used to talk about Black Helicopters...Surprising considering he seems to poop on Alex's theories back under Clinton, Mancow was really a right wing conspiracy theorist.
In retrospect I think he was stealing from Alex back then, i was young then so I don't know.
