Two Indian doctors have been arrested and charged with homicide for spreading hepatitis through the use of dirty needles, Agence France-Presse reports.

At least 34 people have died in a outbreak of hepatitis B in the town of Modasa in western Indian state of Gujarat.

Hepatitis B is spread through blood and bodily fluids.

Six other doctors have been charged with criminal negligence in connection with the outbreak.
