I don't know why that makes me feel better...but it does 8)

I'm not going to a FEMA camp, i know that. I'd seriously rather be dead. Sorry, maybe that sounds defeatist, but that's just how I feel about it.

Okay guess I have to get something bigger heheh:

"As for 1/2 inch steel plate, my 30.06 with soft point lead bullets will plow a hole into a36 1/2 inch plate at 100 yards. AP bullets were ment to penitrate tank shells and APC units. They will and do reach into 1-1/2inch steel at PB range."

yep. tons of great info on ballistics. and check this:

"What does a 12 ga. slug do to body armor? After multiple tests with our firearms unit, I can tell you with certainty. With a good condition, dry (wet vests lose their integrity) ballistic vest, a 12 ga. slug failed to penetrate the vest when fired from 25 yards. The test was conducted 8 times...none penetrated. 12 ga. slugs are too blunt to penetrate a vest. That said, they would have caused massive damage, and the wounds would definitely be life-threatening.

The vests were hung over ballistic gel with a shirt over it, simulating a common vest set-up. The 12 ga. slugs forced the vest into the gel, causing a blunt-force wound which averaged over 4 inches deep. Hit the vital organs that hard, and you're going to cause death. No doubt in my mind."

(c) Location of National Emergency Centers- There shall be established not fewer than one national emergency center in each of the following areas:

(1) The area consisting of Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions I, II, and III.

(2) The area consisting of Federal Emergency Management Agency Region IV.

(3) The area consisting of Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions V and VII.

(4) The area consisting of Federal Emergency Management Agency Region VI.

(5) The area consisting of Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions VIII and X.

(6) The area consisting of Federal Emergency Management Agency Region IX.

BASICALLY ALL REGIONS MUST HAVE MORE THAN 1. IF IT HAS 1-1000 CAMPS it is falling inline with what is proposed. If there are 800 to 5000 it is falling in line.

My intent in posting, before it got WAY off topic with balastic threads was so you would know what region you lived in. What would be cool is if we could find camp locations within our regions, then go to google earth or live search, and post pics of these things.

I would have thought Austin would have been the headquarters for #6 or even Ft Worth with all those bases.  Crap, Denton is down the road and all efforts to get out of this area have not worked out.  Looks like we make our stand here in the burbs like it or not.  Double crap.
