If you all remember Alex talking with Walter Burien about the double bookkeeping being conducted by every State, City, County, Dept., etc...
(CAFR vs Budget report/request)

I was thinking it would be good to organize links to all the states and major counties, etc.. So if you find your states please post here.

Well I looked into my state and city......guess what I found, I found my state is currently in the black for $10 billion.(5 bil in cash) Ive got no experience with accounting so maybe Im not reading the data correctly. If anyone has any insight Id appreciate it.

Whats funny is the state and local government are allowed to keep two sets of books, and the real numbers seem to indicate abundance, Yet we're constantly being told "WE NEED MORE MONEY!!"......

Ladies and gentleman of the forum I give you the .....

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
---------------------------------------------------------------
(the Seattle one is slow, I find opening them in a new tab works best on firefox)

This one is the Washington State report, pg 47-52pdf (39-44 on scan pg) seems to indicate a $10,000,000,000 surplus....over 5 bil in cash.
http://www.ofm.wa.gov/cafr/2006/CAFR06.pdf

Heres the Seattle City CAFR....theres one for every municipality /govt.(check your local) pdf pg 54-65 Looks like Seattle is in the black for 1/4 bil 50 mil in cash..
http://www.cityofseattle.net/cafrs/2006/pdf/2006%20CAFR%20Complete.pdf

Heres King County's..

------------------------------------------------
Next time a crooked politician asks for more taxes or fees for...whatever, maybe you ought to check their own books against what they say!

Its time to get informed and get mad about it.

And the listing of external gov links to download some CAFRs is:

Pension funds pay a salary at retirement. Any local government can be restructured to meet their annual budget needs "Without" Taxes in the same fashion. TRF (Tax Retirement Funds) now meeting every City, County, State’s annual budgetary needs! They have already proven that it will work! CAFR1 says: Make it law and make it so!

Yes, I went to Seattle for about a week in 1999

Here are the two CAFRs you may want to look at for Seattle, WA:

CITY CAFR: www.cityofseattle.net/cafrs/2004/pdf/2004%20CAFR%20Complete.pdf

CITY PORT: http://www.portseattle.org/downloads/about/CAFR_20060706.pdf

That is a beautiful coincidence, it sure makes the Seattle School District look awful guilty.

Im gonna pass this on to my local teachers who are always wanting more money.

Im Gonna bust some balls here in WA believe it.

Hi

I assume the U.S CAFR scam is exactly the same in other countries like the UK, but I've been unable to find CAFR reports for UK Government organisations so far.

Anyone have an idea where we could find these?

Thanks Smiley

October 01... It's now July 07, 2008. No one posted on it since then... So, why not let it be where *it* was? What's the topic you're trying to drive down by spamming old posts to the first page?
