Help me understand the US-Isarel Relationship!

I dont understand the US-Isarel Relationship. I know they are allies, but I know there is a much bigger picture. Maybe somebody can fill me in with a little backstory!

Its a relationship of whiners...the jews whine about their heritage..and the US gives them weapons to defend that heritage...it goes back to our judeo christian roots...If I was US president, I would let them hang in the wind...

israel is like a 57 year old teenager, that still lives in your cellar..you cant get rid of them...ahmidinjad threatens to run them into the sea, and I think he is a CIA mole..saddam was cia, usama was cia, and i think ahmidinjad is the CIA's last bogeyman...he's a war provocator..I wonder if it's really the CIA's plan to destroy israel, or are they just using him for fear?..

Hypocrite how they preach the love of their neighbors and turn around to make war with them, to think the US wants to be in the same boat is completely against our most basic values,never impose or force but let freedom decide.
