David this is simply  put, the East India Company run by Lord Molloch Brown hiring and training thugs to target India's financial district and blame pakistan. The Transfer of wealth was obvious when Chinese and british markets rallied on (Thanksgiving U.S. markets close). This is WAY obvious, British operation to tell India, you better not stray away from us or we will continue this.

"There is no such authentic information, we totally deny this," Vilasrao Deshmukh said when asked to confirm reports that British citizens were involved in the attacks.

And he's being contradicted by anonymous Indian government sources:

Mumbai attacks: Seven terrorists were British, claims Indian government

SEVEN of the Mumbai terrorists were British Pakistanis, Indian government sources claimed last night.

Insiders said two Brits had been arrested and another five suspects were from the UK.

Two of the seven are from Leeds, one is from Bradford and one is from Hartlepool, it was alleged.

Sources claim the Hartlepool suspect was found in the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, where gunmen massacred dozens of guests.

The man from Bradford and one of the men from Leeds were allegedly discovered on the 17th floor of the Trident-Oberoi Hotel.

The second Leeds man was said to have been captured near a jetty after the 25-strong terror gang landed by speedboat.

Documents found on the suspects confirmed they were British, the sources said.

Other reports said Indian officials checked Blackberry phones used by the gang to follow news reports and found "a lot of content" linked to the UK.

The Foreign Office and MI6 were last night trying to establish the facts.

Government sources stressed that there had been no confirmation from India that British terrorists were involved.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown said his Indian counterpart had not told him about UK suspects. But he said it would be "premature" to draw any conclusions.

LaRouche, although always Anti British supplies evidence
http://www.larouchepac.com/news/2008/11/29/india-nails-british-dope-inc-hand-behind-mumbai-attack.html

India Nails British Dope, Inc. Hand Behind Mumbai Attack
Increase  DecreaseNovember 29, 2008 (LPAC)--Early today, the Indian Express published a headline article, "Dawood Gave Logistical Support to Mumbai Attackers,'' identifying a leading figure in South Asian Dope, Inc. smuggling operations, Dawood Ibrahim, as a key logistical figure behind the asymmetric warfare attack on the Indian city of Mumbai over the past days.

Although currently based in Karachi, Pakistan and Dubai, Dawood Ibrahim for years was the central mafia figure in Mumbai, and in the Indian Bihar region, bordering with Nepal, smuggling gold in and out of India, and establishing links with South Asia's major opium smuggling networks. In 1999, and again in 2001, Dawood Ibrahim was linked to major terrorist incidents, including the hijacking of an Air India commercial flight, rerouted to Taliban-controlled Kandahar, Afghanistan (1999), and the assault on the Indian parliament in New Delhi (2001). Since 2003, Dawood Ibrahim has been on the U.S. State Department's list of international terrorists, for his links to Al Qaeda and to the Indian and Pakistan-based Lashkar e-Taiba (LeT). He has been identified as an asset of MI6-linked elements of Pakistan's ISI.
Dawood Ibrahim's gold smuggling operations in Dubai are part of Britain's offshore money laundering apparatus, which has existed since the time of the British East India Company's original opium war against India and China, during the 19th century. U.S. intelligence sources have recently emphasized that the British offshore operations in the Caribbean and in the British Isle of Man, have been extended to Dubai, to facilitate the destabilization of Southwest and South Asia.
Indian intelligence sources, after interrogating several of the Mumbai attackers, concluded that the attacks could not have been carried out without significant "inside'' help. The still-powerful elements of the Dawood Ibrahim apparatus, which maintain a dominant position in the Mumbai underworld, and launder massive amount of illegal gold through India's "Bollywood'' motion picture industry, have been now confirmed to have been key to the attacks.

EIR Identified the British Hand

The role of Dawood Ibrahim's Dope, Inc. apparatus, and his links to another British-sponsored key terrorist figure, Ahmed Omar Sheikh, have been highlighted by Executive Intelligence Review for nearly a decade. On Jan. 11, 2001, the editors of EIR submitted a memorandum to then-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, requesting that the State Department begin a formal investigation to determine whether Great Britain should be placed on the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

That EIR memorandum, based exclusively on U.S. and foreign government documents, citing British sponsorship of international terrorist organizations, began by noting that the issue of British support for international terrorist organizations "has been recently highlighted, as the result of the December 1999 Indian Airlines hijacking, and the response of the British government to the request of one of the freed Kashmiri terrorists, Ahmed Omar Sheikh, to be given safe passage to England. Mr. Sheikh, a British national, was tried and convicted in India, for his role in the kidnapping of four British nationals and an American in 1995. He was sentenced to five years in prison in November 1998. Initially, the British government announced that it would provide Mr. Sheikh with safe passage to Britain, and would not prosecute him or make any effort to extradite him back to India.''

Although international pressure prevented Great Britain from following through on its offer to safehouse Ahmed Omar Sheikh, the Forest School and London School of Economics student was, according to Indian and U.S. intelligence sources, recruited by MI6, and deployed to Bosnia before his surfacing in South Asia. After returning to Britain from the Balkans, Sheikh dropped out of LSE and flew to training camps in Afghanistan, from where he deployed into India, and carried out the 1995 kidnapping attack. He remained behind in Afghanistan, after being freed in the Air India hijacking deal, and is now in Pakistani custody for the kidnapping and murder of the American journalist Daniel Pearl. Sheikh is also still a prime suspect in the organizing of the 911 attacks.

India uncovers Hindu terror group that carried out bombings blamed on Islamists
http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/world-news/india-uncovers-hindu-terror-group-that-carried-out-bombings-blamed-on-islamists-14076306.html
At least 10 people, including monk and army officer, held
By Andrew Buncombe in Delhi
Sunday, 23 November 2008

India is in something of a state of shock after learning from official sources that its first Hindu terror cell may have carried out a series of deadly bombings that were initially blamed on militant Muslims. The revelation is forcing the country to consider some difficult questions.

At least 10 people have been arrested in connection with several bomb blasts in the Muslim-dominated town of Malegaon in the western state of Maharashtra in September, which left six people dead. But reports suggest that police believe the cell may also have carried out a number of previous attacks, including last year's notorious bombing of a cross-border train en route to Pakistan, which killed 68 people. Among the alleged members of the cell are a serving army officer and a Hindu monk.

Bomb attacks are not uncommon in India – there has been a flurry in recent months – but police usually blame them on Muslim extremists, often said to have links to militant groups based in either Pakistan or Bangladesh. As a result, the recent cracking of the alleged Hindu cell has forced India to face some difficult issues. A country that prides itself on purported religious and cultural toleration – an ambition that in reality often falls short – has been made to ask itself how this cell could operate for so long. India's military, which prides itself on its professionalism, has been forced to order an embarrassing inquiry.

The near-daily drip of revelations from police has also caused red faces for India's main political opposition, the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), ahead of state polls and a general election scheduled for early next year. The BJP and its prime ministerial candidate, Lal Krishna Advani, have long accused the Congress Party-led government of being soft on terrorism that involved Muslims. However, the BJP has refused to call for a clampdown on Hindu groups, and last week Mr Advani even criticised the police over the way they questioned one of the alleged cell members, a woman called Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur.

The Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, phoned his rival to ask him not to politicise the issue or the investigation. "There is a strong case so let the police do their job," he told Mr Advani. While some commentators have expressed surprise about the discovery of the alleged cell, others have pointed out that there has been growing concern about the possible threat from Hindu extremists. In the summer, two members of a right-wing Hindu group were killed while putting together a bomb, and two other suspected members of the same group died in similar circumstances in 2006.

Meanwhile, senior right-wing leaders have made no secret of their wish that Hindus should form suicide squads to protect themselves against Muslim extremists. Bal Thackeray, leader of a group called the Shiv Sena, which has been responsible for communal and regional violence in Mumbai, wrote recently in the party's magazine: "The threat of Islamic terror in India is rising. It is time to counter the same with Hindu terror. Hindu suicide squads should be readied to ensure the existence of Hindu society and to protect the nation."

Observers say the fact that the police have arrested the alleged cell members amid considerable political pressure suggests the growing professionalism of its security forces. "It's the first Hindu cell and it's the first time Hindus have been shackled and taken to jail," said Professor Dipankar Gupta, a sociologist at Delhi's Jawarlahal Nehru University. "I'm quite pleased with the way the police have done their jobs."

Mumbai locals helped us, terrorist tells cops

Did some Mumbai locals provide support to the Pakistani terrorists? Azam Amir Kasab, the only Pakistani terrorist nabbed alive, has revealed names and addresses of at least five people from the city who helped the terror operation.
Sources said that help like, providing shelter, taking them around and showing places, passing information on police stations and nakabandhis were given by these locals. Joint commissioner of police (crime) Rakesh Maria said,"We suspect there could be local assistants but it is subject to verification. It will be very premature to comment on this at this stage as our investigations is going on.''
Kasab has told police that they were sent with a specific mission of targeting Israelis to avenge atrocities on Palestinians. This was why they targetted Nariman House, a complex meant for Israelis. Sources said Kasab's colleagues killed in the operation had stayed in Nariman House earlier.
"They have stayed in Nariman house on rental basis identifying themselves as Malaysian students.'' said a source. Police are trying to find out how Nariman House rooms were given to non-Jews. Police has taken all the records books of for verification. The second target was the CST railway station because casualties would be high.
Crime branch has also recovered several fake identity and credit cards from the belongings of dead terrorists. "All the cards are in different names and of different banks. Now we are at least trying to figure out how they procured credit cards from various banks.'' said Maria. The recovery of so many cards with different names have led Mumbai police to suspect the involvement of ISI.
Though Maria maintained only 10 terrorists had sneaked in, the two blasts in taxis in Wadi Bunder and Vile Parle have led the police to believe there could be possibility of the presence of another two or more terrorists in the city.

"Terrorists at Jewish Home were there for 15 days!!!

NARIMAN HOUSE HOSTAGES OR ATTACKERS?
http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/hostagesorattackers.php
Submitted by a WRH reader.

Note the contradiction in the following stories about the Nariman House Siege:

From:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/29/nyregion/29chabad.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&pagewanted=all

“Jewish Center Is Stormed, and 6 Hostages Die”

Quote: “Israeli officials and Lubavitch elders confirmed later that six hostages were found dead inside. They were Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, 29, of Brooklyn, and his Israeli wife, Rivka, 28, the Lubavitch emissaries in Mumbai who ran Nariman House; another rabbi from Brooklyn who was living in Israel, Leibish Teitelbaum; Bentzion Chroman, an Israeli with dual American citizenship; an unidentified Israeli woman; and another unidentified woman, according to Rabbi Zalman Shmotkin, a Lubavitch spokesman in Brooklyn , and The Associated Press”.

Were all six hostages or were some of the “hostages” really attackers?

From: http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20081128/wl_time/08599186266100

"Inside the Taj: Tracking Down the Terrorists"

QUOTE:”In Colaba market, a handful of terrorists stormed one of the apartment buildings at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday and then began randomly shooting and lobbing grenades into the street and at neighboring buildings, according to residents of the area. From the vantage point of three Black Cat snipers watching the building, I could see Nariman House's shattered windows. The couple who own the building are Jewish, giving rise to rumors throughout the day that "Israelis" were somehow involved in the attacks. The other people in the building, including an infant wearing a pink bonnet and green blanket, were held as hostages but released early Thursday . The last person to leave, a young woman, told authorities that the only remaining hostages were the couple, who had made no sound or movement since the night before. By 5 p.m. , they were presumed to be dead, and the Black Cat commandos moved in half an hour later, unleashing a volley of gunshots into the building. By 9:30 p.m. local time, the firing was still going on, and it was not clear whether the four to five suspects inside had been killed or captured.

THE ATTACKERS WERE NOW LABELLED AS “HOSTAGES” BY THE MSM.

OTHER STORIES TELL OF ONLY TWO ATTACKERS KILLED AT NARIMAN HOUSE

What happened to the rest?

http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2008/11/28/mumbai-attacks.html

“During the operation, the commandos killed two militants, only to discover the bodies of the six hostages inside, the city's police chief confirmed”

Webmaster's comment: It may well be that, given the reports that attackers had been staying at a guest house at the Jewish center for 15 days before the attacks, that the Rabbi and his wife were willing supporters of the operation, then were sacrificed in order to have the appropriate bloody shirts to wave before the media. The four-person discrepancy noted above makes perfect sense if four of the attackers were recognizable or identifiable as Israelis, and were declared to be dead hostages to conceal their roles in the operation.

Two of the hostages killed were identified as Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife, Rivka, the couple who ran the centre, said a spokesman for the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. Their 18-month-old son had been one of three people rescued from the centre on Thursday.

In a telephone interview with CBC News from outside the centre, freelance journalist Arun Asthhana said there are reports that some of the militants had stayed at a guest house there for up to 15 days before the attacks.

"They had a huge mass of ammunition, arms and food there," Asthhana said.

Mumbai: Armed Police Would Not Fire Back
http://www.roguegovernment.com/news.php?id=13028
11-29-2008
Independent

It is the photograph that has dominated the world's front pages, casting an astonishing light on the fresh-faced killers who brought terror to the heart of India's most vibrant city. Now The Independent can reveal how the astonishing picture came to be taken by a newspaper photographer who hid inside a train carriage as gunfire erupted all around him.

Sebastian D'Souza, a picture editor at the Mumbai Mirror, whose offices are just opposite the city's Chhatrapati Shivaji station, heard the gunfire erupt and ran towards the terminus. "I ran into the first carriage of one of the trains on the platform to try and get a shot but couldn't get a good angle, so I moved to the second carriage and waited for the gunmen to walk by," he said. "They were shooting from waist height and fired at anything that moved. I briefly had time to take a couple of frames using a telephoto lens. I think they saw me taking photographs but theydidn't seem to care."

The gunmen were terrifyingly professional, making sure at least one of them was able to fire their rifle while the other reloaded. By the time he managed to capture the killer on camera, Mr D'Souza had already seen two gunmen calmly stroll across the station concourse shooting both civilians and policemen, many of whom, he said, were armed but did not fire back. "I first saw the gunmen outside the station," Mr D'Souza said. "With their rucksacks and Western clothes they looked like backpackers, not terrorists, but they were very heavily armed and clearly knew how to use their rifles.

"Towards the station entrance, there are a number of bookshops and one of the bookstore owners was trying to close his shop," he recalled. "The gunmen opened fire and the shopkeeper fell down."

But what angered Mr D'Souza almost as much were the masses of armed police hiding in the area who simply refused to shoot back. "There were armed policemen hiding all around the station but none of them did anything," he said. "At one point, I ran up to them and told them to use their weapons. I said, 'Shoot them, they're sitting ducks!' but they just didn't shoot back."

As the gunmen fired at policemen taking cover across the street, Mr D'Souza realised a train was pulling into the station unaware of the horror within. "I couldn't believe it. We rushed to the platform and told everyone to head towards the back of the station. Those who were older and couldn't run, we told them to stay put."

The militants returned inside the station and headed towards a rear exit towards Chowpatty Beach. Mr D'Souza added: "I told some policemen the gunmen had moved towards the rear of the station but they refused to follow them. What is the point if having policemen with guns if they refuse to use them? I only wish I had a gun rather than a camera."

What's the evidence of Ibrahim being involved? It's a perfect way to blame Pakistan though, because you don't just blame a terror group in Pakistan, you blame the Pakistani government. After all, Ibrahim is said to be under the protection of the ISI. If they can get the public into believing folks with connections to the ISI were involved in these attacks, they can get the public behind destroying Pakistan.

India pushing buerocracy now to "investigate"

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/All-party_meet_may_be_right_time_for_federal_agency/articleshow/3774773.cms

All-party meet may be right time for federal agency30 Nov 2008, 0348 hrs IST, TNN

NEW DELHI: Given the magnitude of the Mumbai terror strike, the government has never had a better opportunity than now to persuade states to accept
the long pending proposal of setting up a federal agency, which, unlike CBI, will have direct jurisdiction to investigate crimes with national and international ramifications.
This oft-quoted issue is likely to figure in the all party meeting on Sunday.

The idea has been pending since 2000 when the then home minister, L K Advani, asked the K Padmanabhaiah committee on police reforms to examine the feasibility of declaring certain crimes as federal offences "to enable a central agency to undertake investigation, without any loss of time."

The Padmanabhaiah committee, however, said it was opposed to the creation of such a body "for the time being" out of concern for, among other things, maintaining the federal balance.

Still, the proposal returned to life in 2003 when the Justice V S Malimath committee on the criminal justice system recommended that ‘‘time has come’’ for setting up a ‘‘federal investigating agency with an India charter.’’

In a bid to soothe federal sensitivities of states, the Malimath committee said the proposed agency should have ‘‘concurrent jurisdiction’’ over federal crimes. As a corollary, ‘‘if the federal agency takes up the case for investigation, the state agencies’ role in the investigation would automatically abate.’’

Despite such a strong recommendation from the Malimath committee, Advani could not push through the federal agency proposal in the one year that was left of the NDA reign. And, by the time his successor Shivraj Patil picked up the threads of the federal agency proposal, he was confronted with an adverse recommendation from the administrative reforms commission headed by Congress leader Veerappa Moily.

Suggesting an incremental charge, the Moily commission said federal crimes could be investigated by ‘‘a specialized wing in CBI’’. The Moily commission did not however explain how the deadlock is to be broken if the state declines permission to the CBI to take over the case.

It remains to be seen if the government, which is under pressure to come up with a fitting response to the Mumbai terror strike, will muster the will to ignore Moily’s reservations and mobilize support across political parties and states to implement the Malimath committee’s recommendation.

Let me find it, Article says it, India Media reporting it:

)--Early today, the Indian Express published a headline article, "Dawood Gave Logistical Support to Mumbai Attackers,'' identifying a leading figure in South Asian Dope, Inc. smuggling operations, Dawood Ibrahim, as a key logistical figure behind the asymmetric warfare attack on the Indian city of Mumbai over the past days.

See, that's the whole point. Some media just claim that Ibrahim is behind the attacks, but provide no evidence. It's no different from Fox News claiming that Al Qaeda did it. Sure, I suppose it's all possible, but we need evidence. LaRouche will jump on the bandwagon when it means the Brits are somehow involved, but I'll wait until I see some evidence.

2 Stories connecting CIA/Mossad with extremists one day before attack

Rashtriya Sahara, Urdu Daily, Mumbai

CIA, MOSSAD HAND BEHIND SANGH PARIVAR'S EXTREMISTS!
New Delhi, November 25

Central Intelligence Agencies vigilant investigating in the aftermath of Malegaon blast; Enquiry being held into the February 2007 visit of prominent Israeli religious delegation and meetings with Hindutvadi Sadhu, Sanths and political leaders; Mossad infiltration a cause of deep concern for Intelligence officials According to an exposé in a national daily published from Madhya Pradesh and several other cities, in the aftermath of the arrests of Sadhu, Sadhvi, and other extremist Hindutvadis as involved in the Malegaon bomb blast, Intelligence agencies are now concentrating on foreign connections of the radical Hindutvadis.

In an special report published by the national daily, it has exposed this sensational news that in central intelligence agencies are to be believed, extremist Hindutvadis have got support and motivation from Israeli secret agency, Mossad's operations against the Arab and Muslim countries in the past.

The newspaper writes that relations between Mossad and CIA are world known. Report mentions that intelligence agencies are worried about the infiltration of Mossad and CIA in the country. According to undisclosed sources, Indian intelligence agencies are now examining the full details of the visit of Israel's religious leaders to India and their meetings withSadhu, Sanths. Intelligence agencies are investigating all those Hindu and Muslim leaders that the Israeli religious delegation had met.

According to the newspaper, it was during the rule of BJP's Atul Behari Vajpayee; a beginning was made for the visits of Hindutvadis, and especially Sadhus anddharam gurus of the Sangh Parivar to Israel. These visits have been on the increase. It was during Vajpayee's time, that the visits to Israel and consequently the relations and contacts of Sangh Parivar Dharam gurus and Hindutva leaders with Israelincreased manifold.

According to the newspaper, for last ten years, the central intelligence agencies have been closely studying and analyzing the growing strength of Hindutvadi and Sangh Parivar organisations and the increasing violence through these organisations against Muslims, Christians, and minorities in Gujarat,Orissa, Karnataka and other states. Intelligence agencies have disclosed that the visits of Jews and Israeli rabbis was not very frequent in the past, but it has increased to worrisome proportions, during last few years. Of all, the most studied is the February 2007 visit to Delhi of the delegation of Israeli Jewish religious leaders. The delegation was headed byIsrael's Chief Rabbi, Yonah Metzger.

In this delegation, Jewish religious leaders from Israelas well as others rabbis from Belgium and Spain too were included. In India, the Israel Jewish religious delegation met important Hindutva leaders, which included especially the RSS Chief K. S. Sudharshan, President of VHP, Ashok Singhal, VHP leader Vishnu Hari Dalmia.

After the meeting of the Sadhu Sanths and Jewish leaders, both delegations had issued a common manifesto.

In this meeting, Jewish Rabbis expressed grave concern over the details of the terrorist attacks allegedly carried out by Muslims, as narrated by Hindu dharam gurus. Secret Service sources disclosed that at the invitation of Israeli Jewish religious leaders, a delegation of Hindutva leaders had visited Israel this year. In this, some leaders of Sangh Parivar too were included.

The national daily, published from Madhya Pradesh and other places, in its report has exposed that the officials of the national intelligence agencies have categorically stated that American secret service agency, CIA together with Israel's secret organisation Mossad, has carried out several secret operation all over Asia.

And now that the bomb blast of Malegaon and Modasa had involved the names of the fake Shankaracharya Amaranand alias Dayanand Pande, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, enquiries and investigation of relations between Jewish and Hindutva religious leaders from Israel and India are being severely felt and is being analyzed. This was disclosed by the newspaper report.

Why investigation of Israeli connection of Hindutvadis?
New Delhi, November 25

The way ATS has arrested Hindutva extremists belonging to Sangh Parivar, in connection with Malegaon bomb blast, facts have emerged of international networking and support to Hindutva radicals. This has alarmed national intelligence community. India's internal and external intelligence agencies and RAW have got busy trying to figure out if there is some big international conspiracy is being hatched behind the activities of hardline extremists of Sangh Parivar. According to secret sources, back in February 2007, an Israeli delegation headed by Israel's Chief Rabbi, Yonah Metzger, and accompanied by several high ranking Jewish religious leaders, had visited India. This Jewish Religious delegation held meetings with many Sadhus, Sanths and Dharam gurus. The delegation also met some Muslim leaders. Now intelligence agencies have started investigations of the meetings of the Israeli delegation and local Sadhus, Sanths and dharam gurus. It is mentioned that the delegation of Israeli Jewish religious leaders has met leaders and dharam gurus from RSS, Sangh Parivar, VHP and BJP. Lal Krishna Advani had arranged a dinner for the visiting Israeli Jewish religious leaders' delegation and others included in the delegation, at his own residence. According to high official, though the meeting of Sangh Parivar's leaders to Israeli delegation is not of undue importance, but the way America's secret service, CIA and Israel's secret agency, Mossad, are infiltrating in Central Asian and South Asian countries, it is giving strength to the suspicions that in such delegations, members of foreign intelligence get included and through interaction and infiltration, secret operations are carried out. Those organisations that organise and support such visits and meetings, may or may not be aware of the secret mission of foreign agencies, the truth can come out only on investigations. For this reason, the national agencies are now concentrating on investigation of Sangh Parivar and its connections with Israeli lobby and Mossad.

Regardless of LaRouche there is MASSIVE evidence that Britain has been funding extremist mosques INSIDE britain, then MI6 uses them as cannon fodder terrorists. There is also massive evidence now that there were british citizens involved in the attacks, armed with British Mp5 and STEN machine guns , and inflatable motor boats. This was a very well planned out operation. An india news source reported that a Chef at the Taj had been in on this for 10 months or so.

7 MUMBAI TERRORISTS 'ARE BRITISH'   By Jon Clements And Chris Hughes 29/11/2008

Claims gunmen are from Leeds and Bradford

Seven of the terrorists who brought carnage to Mumbai are British, Indian government sources claimed yesterday.

They said two British-born Pakistanis are under arrest. And another five suspects are said to have been born and raised here.

Two of the five were allegedly identified from passports found on their bodies. Captured gunmen are also said to have told police some of their comrades were from the UK.

Then, there is the fact that 10 minutes after the attacks UK Media blamed Al Queda without even investigating, then FOX news mocked it of course. After this, the Indian press said it was Not Al Queda and had possible local ties and foreign handlers. AFter all this Britain sent in MI6 / MI5 Agents and *other representitives* and India immediately changed their story and blamed Pakistan

US, UK, Israel ramp up intelligence aid to India
28 Nov 2008, 2320 hrs IST, Chidanand Rajghatta, TNN

WASHINGTON: Unprecedented intelligence cooperation involving investigating agencies and spy outfits of India, United States, United Kingdom and
Israel has got underway to crack the method and motive behind the Mumbai terrorist massacre, now widely blamed on Islamist radicals who appeared to have all four countries on their hit list when they arrived on the shores of India.

Investigators, forensic analysts, counter-terrorism experts and spymasters from agencies the four countries are converging in New Delhi and Mumbai to put their heads, resources, and skills together to understand the evolving nature of the beast. The spy chief of the Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence(ISI) is also being summoned to India to help with the investigations because of the widely-held view that the terrorists' footprints go back to Pakistan. ( Watch )

The Bush administration has taken the lead to forge cooperation, partly out of concern that charges by India that the terror plot has Pakistani fingerprints could setback fast-improving government-to-government and people-to-people ties between the two countries, officials said.

But there is an implicit recognition both in New Delhi and Washington, and also other world capitals, that Pakistan's hard-line Army and its spy agency are spoilers of the honeymoon between the civilian governments and the people of India and Pakistan. Hence the summons to the country's chief spook, Ahmad Shuja Pasha, an acolyte of the new Army Chief Pervez Kiyani, himself a former ISI chief.

President Bush, who spent Thanksgiving Thursday at Camp David, monitored the developments in Mumbai along with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who joined him for dinner. Bush also spoke to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh offering all U.S help.

In fact, CNN reported that Washington suggested sending US Special Forces for on-the-ground operations in Mumbai but New Delhi declined the offer, saying its own forces could take care of the situation. The report could not be separately verified although officials acknowledged cooperation in investigations and intelligence sharing.

The Bush administration is also keeping President-elect Barack Obama up-to-speed on the fast moving developments. Obama spoke with Secretary Rice by phone to get an update on the situation in Mumbai. Additionally, his transition office said, the President-elect received an intelligence briefing on the attacks.

The President-elect is also receiving regular situational updates from the State Department Ops Center and the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC), an Obama spokesperson added.

The multi-nation intelligence cooperation has been precipitated in part by the death of Americans, Britons, and Israelis, in the carnage. Thousands of Indians have died in terror attacks in India in the previous two decades without the world getting exercised about it, but the manner in which the terrorists who attacked Mumbai are reported to have singled out Americans and Britons, besides pointedly occupying a Jewish center, has revealed that their agenda was wider than just domestic discontent or the Kashmir issue.

Some unconfirmed reports also speak of at least two of the terrorists being British nationals of Pakistani origin, of the kind who were involved in the London underground bombing. Their attire (cargo pants and t-shirts), their heavy weaponry, and the sophisticated nature of their attack, certainly goes far beyond anything local or indigenous terror groups have displayed so far.

More significantly, none of the local groups have targeted Americans, Britons, and Israelis with the kind of specific intent as the current set of terrorists did. While US officials are concerned about the possibility of the new warmth in ties between India and Pakistan dissipating because of the gravity of the charges from New Delhi, there is also a recognition and acknowledgment that India's anger is directed against the hard-line elements in the Pakistani Army and its surrogates in the ISI, and not the civilian government or the people of Pakistan.

In fact, Washington itself has been trying to get Pakistan's civilian government to get a grip on the ISI, which many believe is now infiltrated by rogue elements.

That joint effort by Washington and the civilian dispensation in Islamabad has been repeatedly thwarted by Pakistan's hard-line army which believes it is the custodian and guarantor of the Islamist ideology that keep Pakistan intact and differentiates it from India, and which the ISI as its fighting arm for a covert asymmetrical war against India. Pakistan's new President Asif Ali Zardari recently attracted the wrath of the hardliners by saying "there is a little bit of India inside every Pakistani" and presenting a no-first-use of nuclear weapons proposal to India.

The Bush administration has only lately begun to realise that the ISI is a different beast from the one which helped it defeat the Soviet Union in Afghanistan to end the Cold War. The first sign that the ISI had turned rogue came during 9/11 when Pakistan's spy chief who was tasked to go and ask the Taliban to surrender did exactly the opposite. India's mistrust of ISI has a longer history, with the nadir coming during the Kargil war.

But under withering scrutiny from the international community, Pakistan, which is desperately broke and begging for international aid and loans, has agreed to send the ISI chief to New Delhi with promise of cooperation. That promise will be tested in the coming days and weeks.

Mumbai terrorists were 'funded  by cash raised in UK mosques'

A banned Islamic terrorist group funded with cash raised in British mosques is believed to be behind the Mumbai attacks.
Kashmiri separatists Lashkar-e-Taiba, ‘The Army of the Righteous’, which has strong links to Al Qaeda, is accused of previous terrorist outrages in India.

And intercepted telephone and radio communications before and during the latest attacks apparently suggest a link.

'Funded by UK cash': The Taj Mahal hotel burns during the terror attack on Mumbai - an Islamic terrorist group funded with cash raised in British mosques is thought to be behind the attack
Indian officials say at least one of the gunmen captured after the attacks is part of a Lashkar network.
The group last week denied any responsibility and the unknown group Deccan Mujahideen said it was behind the atrocity.

But earlier this year another group, the Indian Mujahideen, which has links to Lashkar-e-Taiba, sent an email to Indian police warning it was planning an attack in Mumbai.

The message read: ‘We are keeping a close eye on you and just waiting for the right time to execute your bloodshed...Let the Indian Mujahideen warn all the people of Mumbai...You are already on our hit list and this time very, very seriously.’

Lashkar-e-Taiba has been blamed for violence throughout India, including the 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament building in New Delhi and a strike at an amusement park in Hyderabad in 2007.
It is accused of being behind a series of train bombings in Mumbai in 2006, which claimed almost 200 lives.

The group is outlawed in Britain and the US. In 2006, a Coventry man was sentenced to nine years in jail for conspiring to provide funds for its terrorist activities.

Dawood link emerges

DH News Service, Mumbai:

Intelligence agencies have launched a massive manhunt for a Mumbai based businessman - suspected to be a henchman of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim - who allegedly arranged arms and explosives for the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists to conduct the terror attack in Mumbai.

The information came from Ajmal Amir Kamal, the terrorist hailing from Faridkot, Pakistan, who was captured by the agencies during the operation.

The businessman reportedly runs several custom clearing houses in Colaba, Mumbai.

Kamal told investigating agencies that his group was trained in two separate camps by the LeT in Pakistan; one for handling weapons and explosives, and another for marine warfare.

They were reportedly trained in marine commando techniques on Mangla Dam, a reservoir stretching between the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) to Punjab in Pakistan.

The terrorists chose the sea route because crossing the Line of Control was dangerous, it was revealed during the interrogations. The terrorists were given code names and were put in a merchant vessel, which brought them about 10 nautical miles from the Indian coast off Gujarat.

There, the group reportedly hijacked a fishing trawler Kuber and shot four out of its five or six sailors.

Captain killed

The captain of the trawler, identified as Balwant Tandel, was forced to take the vessel to the Mumbai coast.
After reaching about four nautical miles away, they tied his hands behind his back and slit his throat. Another person, Amarsinh Solanki, was beheaded.

The terrorists boarded into a motorised rubber dinghy, which brought them to the Mumbai shore at the Fishermen's Colony.

The bodies of four fishermen suspected to be crew members of the ship have been found from high seas off Gujarat.

The body of the captain was found from the trawler which was seized by Coast Guard off Mumbai coast.
A global positioning system was found on board the vessel, which was fed with a return map for Karachi, indicating that the terrorists were planning to escape back if luck favoured them.

After getting into the boats arranged by Dawood’s gang in Mumbai, arms, ammunition and plastic explosives were quickly transferred to the waiting dinghy that took the terrorists to the Gateway of India which was had been marked as the launching pad for the terror strike, sources said.

In small groups

Kamal also told investigators that on landing at Fishermen’s Colony, the men broke into small groups – two of them walked straight through a lane which opened in front of Nariman House at Colaba, four went further away towards the Taj Mahal.

Meanwhile, investigators were going through the call data details downloaded from the satellite phone recovered from the abandoned trawler. It revealed numbers that have been traced back to Muzammil, LeT's chief of operations.

The terrorists were in constant touch with their masters and some of the communications have been intercepted by both the Army as well as the National Security Guard.

Large clientele

The Taj and Trident-Oberoi were selected because the two hotels have a large clientele of British and US citizens, while Nariman House was selected as it was the Jewish Centre where many Israeli tourists come during their visit to India, Kamal told the police. The terrorists were also asked by their “masters” to engage the security personnel in negotiation besides throwing grenades

UK admits they lied about "No British Evidence"
http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1227702365031&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull

British authorities checking reports of Britons involved in Mumbai terror attack

By JONNY PAUL, JERUSALEM POST CORRESPONDENT, LONDON

UK security agencies are investigating reports of British Muslims being among the terrorists who carried out the attacks in Mumbai.

Indian government sources have revealed that evidence has been found linking two of the terrorists to the UK.

The Maharashtra state chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh told The Associated Press that two British-born Pakistanis were among the terrorists.

NDTV, a local television news channel, also claimed that the terrorists included "British citizens of Pakistani origin."

Other reports Saturday said that as many as seven of the terrorists had been British.

On Saturday, the Foreign Office said in a statement: "We have spoken to Indian authorities at a high level and they have said there is no evidence that any of the terrorists either captured or dead are British."

Senior British security officials, however, have confirmed they are looking through intelligence on domestic suspects with overseas extremist links and reviewing tracked telephone calls to see if British citizens were indeed involved.

On Friday, British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said it was "too early to say" whether any of those involved were British.

"I'm afraid I can't tell you anything about the names or origins or sources of this attack at this stage," Miliband said. "Obviously the Indian authorities are focusing on ending the incident before they are focusing on where it came from."

However, Miliband suggested he was taking the reports extremely seriously, and said that the security services were "investigating intensively" any possible links.

"We obviously will want to work very, very closely with the Indians, but it is too early to say whether or not any of them are British," he told Sky News.

A team of Scotland Yard anti-terrorist detectives have arrived in Mumbai to assist in the investigations.
A Conservative MP said he had been given information that two of the terrorists had credit cards and other documents that linked them to Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

MP Patrick Mercer also said he had been told that the terrorists used mobile phones and BlackBerries to access British news sites to gather information about their progress.

Ed Husain, director of the Quilliam Foundation, a London-based counter-extremism think tank founded by former leading ideologues of UK-based extremist Islamist organizations, responded to the reports of British involvement in the attacks: "British Muslim leaders need to take their heads out of the sand and begin systematically dismantling the warped theology that has inspired these and other attacks.

"Unless our government is bolder in identifying Islamism as the root cause of extremism, we will only be responding to and not preventing terrorism. Extremist Islamist groups continue to hold events in the UK and recruit new followers, radical Islamism has no place in our country," he said.

The Independent suggested that according to UK security agencies, more than 4,000 British Muslims have passed through terrorist training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan, providing a fertile recruitment pool for the Islamist international jihad.

In an article on Saturday, the newspaper said that men from the Kashmiri community in the UK have joined groups such as Lashkar-e-Toiba, the prime suspects in the Mumbai terror attacks, which have been fighting against Indian forces in Kashmir.

Others from a Pakistani background have joined the Taliban and other armed groups taking part in action against British and NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Another bit of evidence possibly implicating Mossad:

Jewish House Ordered Food Before Killers Arrival?

The is an excerpt from the article which follows it:

And then there is a possible Israeli angle that some are raising. Thus, the widely-read Mumbai-based tabloid Mid-Day, in an article about a building where numerous militants were holed up titled 'Mumbai Attack: Was Nariman House the Terror Hub?', states:

"The role that Nariman House is coming to play in this entire attack drama is puzzling. Last night, residents ordered close to 100 kilograms of meat and other food, enough to feed an army or a bunch of people for twenty days. Shortly thereafter, the ten odd militants moved in, obviously, indicating that the food and meat was ordered, keeping their visit in mind, another cop added.

"One of the militants called up a television news channel and voiced his demands today, but, interestingly, when he was asked where are they all holed up, he said at the Israeli owned Nariman House and they are six of them here", one of the investigating cops said. Since morning, there has been exchange of gun fire has been going on and the militants seem well equipped to counter the cops fire. To top it, they have food and shelter. One wonders [if] they have the support of the residents, a local Ramrao Shanker said."

A Mossad/Israeli hand in the affair might seem far-fetched to some, but not so to others, who point to the role of Israeli agents in destabilizing a large number of countries as well as possibly operating within some radical Islamist movements, such as a group in Yemen styling itself 'Islamic Jihad', said to be responsible for the bombing of the American Embassy in Sanaa, and which is said to have close links with the Israeli intelligence. Some have raised the question if the Mossad or even the CIA might not be directly or otherwise instigating some disillusioned Muslim youth in India, Pakistan or elsewhere to take to terror by playing on Muslim grievances, operating through existing Islamist groups or spawning new ones for this purpose.

Here's a "weird" piece of news (no date associated with it that I can find at the moment)...  Semi-off topic --  is Northern Command a GLOBAL FORCE?  Or is this a different Northern Command? (notice the last sentence though)

Many more questions about the terror attacks

November 28, 2008 | 11:50 IST

Since we posted unanswered questions about the terrorist attacks in Mumbai on Friday morning, many, many, many, readers have mailed us with their own questions that need to be investigated by the security agencies.

If you wish to add questions to this list, please e-mail questionsterror@rediffmail.com. We will post the most relevant questions here.
# How many terrorists were there? Did they number 20 as Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh told a press conference on Thursday? Or did they number many more? If two or three terrorists attacked the CST, how many terrorists were present at the Taj and Trident? Did the CST terrorists drop a grenade/explosive device at Dockyard Road on the way to the station? Or was someone else responsible for that act of terror which claimed three lives?
# The terrorists are said to have set up control rooms at the Taj and Trident hotels, a Cabinet minister told PTI on Thursday. When were these bookings made? A detailed investigation into the bookings made at both hotels in the months, weeks and days before the attacks may reveal the names of suspicious guests who registered there.
# Military sources tell rediff.com that there was no way the terrorists could have carried so much ammunition with them when they assaulted the two hotels with their guns blazing. They believe the ammunition may have been stored earlier in rooms at both the hotels, perhaps on the higher floors.
# If some of the terrorists had registered at the hotels earlier, could these men/women have left along with the guests who were released? Did the police record the identities and addresses of the guests who were released from both hotels?
# Indian Hotels Chairman Ratan Tata indicated on Thursday that the terrorists had intimate knowledge of the Taj, its service corridors, its layout. Does this mean that they had a mole inside the Taj? Or more worrying, did a couple of them work there at some point of time? Did they have drawings of the layout of the two hotels?
# If the terrorists were Pakistani, how did they have such an intimate knowledge of the terrain? The two or three cowards who attacked the CST on Wednesday night made their way from the CST through a road on the left side of The Times of India building towards the Cama and Albess hospital/Azad Maidan police station, a route that is known only to true-blood Mumbaikars. Were they locals? Or did they conduct extensive reconnisance of the likely routes of escape?
# These same two or three men, who are said to have commandeered ATS Chief Hemant Karkare's police Qualis after shooting him, Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Kamte and Inspector Vijay Salaskar, revealed similar familarity with the road outside the Esplanade Court, making an easy U-turn towards the Metro cinema junction rather than head on the road towards the CST. How did they know this if they were Pakistanis?
# How did those men, whose images have appeared all over the world, get to the CST from Colaba where they are said to have landed by boat? Did they take a taxi? Or did they have local transportation? Did they come by a suburban train, which could explain the firing on one of the suburban train platforms? Who left the grenade on the Gitanjali Express, which killed a Bengali mother?
# The terrorists are said to have done extensive reconnisance of the city. If they are Pakistanis, how did they get earlier entry to the city unnoticed? Did they come in by boat? Or did they use other routes to escape notice?
# Such an operation could not have been conducted without extensive training and preparation, possibly on models of the Taj and Trident or Chabad House/Nariman House. Could this have been achieved at the rudimentary training camps hosted by the Lashkar-e-Tayiba in Pakistan occupied Kashmir? Or was it a more systematised operation conducted by a State agency in a hostile country?
# How did they know Chabad House/Nariman House, which even long-time residents of Colaba -- the area in South Mumbai where the Taj, the Leopold Cafe and Chabad/Nariman House are located -- are unfamiliar with? The choice of this target indicates precision thinking -- it is doubtful if the Lashkar strategists are capable of such deep strategy -- and again points the needle of suspicion at a government intelligence agency in a nation inimical to India or renegades within such a bureau.
# Early on Thursday morning, the television channels spoke about an exchange of fire between the terrorists and the police near the Liberty cinema (which is close to the Metro cinema/Cama hospital, but situated on an inner road). There was even fear expressed that these terrorists would enter the Bombay hospital, but nothing was heard about them thereafter. Where did they go? Were these two/three terrorists the same men who took over the police Qualis and shot at people near the Metro junction? Or have they escaped?
# The police say the two men, who took over the Qualis, grabbed the Skoda that was halted at a police road block near the Girgaum Chowpatty beach. One of them was later killed by the police. Where did the other man go? Is he the Ismail, the Lashkar terrorist who is appparently singing like a canary to the police? Or is he someone else? If these are the two of the three terrorists who attacked the CST, what happened to the third man seen in photographs and video captures? Where did he vanish?
# Another terrorist is said to be in custody. Where was he captured? What has he told the police?
# The Times of India reported on Friday morning that wellknown food critic Sabina Sehgal-Saikia's cellular phone recorded activity in the Raigad area, which is located across the sea from the Taj, where she was staying on the night of the attacks? Nothing has been heard from Saikia for over a day, so how did her phone reach Raigad? Could one of the terrorists have escaped under the guise of a guest to the Raigad area?
# To this Mohit says: Sabina's husband has clarified that Airtel reps have told him that since the towers around Taj were shut down, it is possible that the phone might have picked up the signal from Raigad tower. Could some of the terrorists have come by boat from the Alibag-Murud Janjira area in Maharashtra's Raigad district, rather than from Pakistan? Boats ply through the day from the Alibaug area to the Gateway of India, and it would be easy for terrorists to use this mode of transport rather than high-speed boats which would have attracted the Coast Guard's attention.
# According to a Maharashtra Times report, the two terrorists who killed the three police officers on Wednesday night spoke Marathi! This disclosure casts fresh doubt on the origin of the terrorists. Or did each terrorist from an enemy nation have an Indian accomplice accompanying him?
# If the attacks were restricted to South Mumbai for logistical reasons, who was responsible for the explosion on the taxi near the Santa Cruz airport in northwest Mumbai, which is located at least 25 km from Colaba?

# Uttara wants to know: If the terrorists are interested in something, how come they have not made any demands in spite of having taken so many hostages? If they kept the hostages for so long, they should have started negotiations also. This indicates that they have some other, larger ultimate objective. What is that, and has it been investigated?
# The Deccan Mujahideen may or may not be a valid front. Has the Andhra Pradesh police and security forces started investigating that? What are the results of that?
# Has there been any additional discussion on the terrorists who might have escaped into Bombay city, apart from these three locations? If the dead terrorists had blueprints of the major areas in the city, it means that they might launch an attack on these locations after the Taj, Oberoi and Colaba encounters are over. Have the police been investigating this, and has there been any safety precautions? The names of these places should be circulated, and civilians asked to refrain from going to those locations, so that casualties can be at a minimum. When will this be done?

# Ravi wants to know: Why did the terrorists not blow up the full building itself? What can be the reason for this? I do not believe that they do not have the ammunition for that or planning. I believe if they wanted they could have done it.

# Winnie wants to know: What is the Navy doing around the Colaba area? Why is it not monitoring or keeping a check on what goes on in the seas just below its nose?
# Why doesn't Mumbai have enough fire ladders or other equipment which can put out fires like the ones set at the Taj?
# Even in a terrorist attack why are most of our constabulary seen with antique rifles and without bulletproof attire?
# Why are civilians seen in and around the affected areas in spite of a curfew call?
# Why do the best hotels in Mumbai have such pathetic security?

# Govind wants to know: Are the CCTV records of the hotels available?
# Assuming such large quantities of weapons had been pre-stored in the hotels, is there any security system to search these bags while being taken to the hotel?
# Are there any missing hotel staff after the attack?

# Rajendra wants to know: How come the terrorists were able to fight for more then 40 hours? This is very clear that all these people got the arms and weapons ready on site in advance. Isn't this a question on the qualification and intelligence of our police and all other security agencies?

# Sujoy wants to know: Manmohan Singh has claimed that this terror attack has been executed by external forces. What proof has the government got in order to make such a claim? Every time a situation like this happens, the government of India makes such claims and then they give no proof to anyone, especially the common people who are always kept in dark.

# Vinu wants to know: When the commandos of the navy and the army are there why were ATS officers involved in the operation, who are ill equipped and lost their life? The man who ordered this should be held responsible for the death of bright officers and must be procecuted.

# Lokesh wants to know: Why the BCCI does not organise India-Pakistan cricket matches on neutral grounds? How many Pakistanis return after the match? How many sneak through on a tourist visa?
# Why cant we have a centralised SSN (Social Security Number) system in India?

# Amit wants to know: Whether there are terrorists holed up in other parts of Mumbai and surroundings, as they were inside those targeted hotels? What action is necessary for those hiding terrorists in other parts, right now unknown to us?
# How did they procure AK-56 rifles? What action is necessary which need to be taken for controling smuggling of these weapons inside Indian territory?
# Are we planning to carry out operations inside Pakistan where the terrorists' headquarters are firmly believed to be located, if Pakistan cannot capture those responsible and as we have every right for pre-emptive action?
# Whether we will take help of the Pakistan government and other countries in conducting such secret operations inside Pakistan to capture terrorists, as the United States is doing presently inside Pakistan if their weak system cannot achieve this?

# Sarnath wants to know: How did the room service guys not find the bombs if it had been preserved somewhere within the Taj? Some room service guys are involved? Someone inside the Taj is definitely involved.

# King c wants to know: One report said that a taxi laden with explosives was on its way to have a fidayeen attack on the Mumbai International Airport. But something went wrong and the taxi exploded at Vile Parle under the flyover itself. The question is -- who was driving the taxi? How did they get hold of the taxi? Was there support from locals?
# How can the terrorists fight for over 40 hours without any sleep?
# The television visuals clearly showed Hemant Karkare wearing a helmet and a bullet-proof vest. How did he get hit in the chest?
# How could the three top cops travel together in an operation? Shouldn't they have been given back-up and cover?
# It is said that there was a massive recruitment drives at the hotels a few months ago. It is suspected that a few of the terrorists's aides might have infiltrated into the organisation of the hotel. Is this being investigated?

Kunal wants to know: I just heard from a guy who escaped from the Taj on Aaj Tak. He said that he saw a lot of security personnel, but none of them questioned him when he escaped from the rear of the Taj. This means that the terrorists as well could don a normal citizen's clothes and escape without any questions asked. I want to know what about Mumbai or rather Indian citizens's security if even one among them gets lost in Mumbai's crowds?

# J D Kamble/Sachin wants to know: Why were the helicopters not brought in at the earlier stage? Why are the helicopters not provided with water tanks?
# Why was tear gas not used to disable the terrorists? Why was morphine gas not used?

# Rohan wants to know: All the security forces are searching for a ship. Is it possible that a submarine dropped off the terrorists?

# Mohit wants to know: The terrorists used satellite phones to communicate. How come their satellite phones worked and could not be traced or jammed?
# How can the government allow the television channels to broadcast live what is happening at the three locations? These might have watched by some of the terrorists's agents around the country and helped communicate with the terrorists in the hotel who had satellite phones.

# Nilesh wants to know: With a major naval headquarters in Mumbai, how come the marine commandos came into action only the subsequent morning?
# Why is there no permanent base of NSG commandos in Mumbai? And why did they take 10 hours to get to Mumbai?

# Anirudh wants to know: Why did the terrorists choose that late hour to begin their assault? Did they plan to attack CST and the hotels after peak hours, or were their plans held up in some way? Or did they choose that time to avoid even the small risk of being challenged by a policeman?
# How can people carry huge rifles slung across their shoulders in the midst of a milling crowd? They are not like handguns which can be concealed under clothing and taken out when they need to be used. How come there was no panic just upon sighting people with rifles marching into a railway station or hotel lobby?
# Did the Taj Mahal hotel officials have any sort of permission or authority from the Mumbai police before relaxing their security measures just days before the attack? If so, on what grounds was the permission granted? As a corollary, were the terrorists waiting for the measures to be relaxed before striking?

# Prashant wants to know: I was once stopped by the Taj hotel staff for being in slippers (chappals). If you can be so alert to look down at chappals (for w/e reasons), how come the same security system blunders when the ammunitions were being stored in the room well in advance?
# What could have been the motive of the taxi blast?

# Venkatesh wants to know: The arms and ammunition being used by the terrorists --- are they purchased inside India? Or sent from outside?
# If the ammunition is purchased in India, why can't the government regulate buying and selling such explosives and all chemicals used in the manufacturing of the explosives?
# What was the hotel security doing when the terrorists barged into the hotel? Were the security personnel unarmed or just not equipped enough to face the attack? If this is the case, then is the security system in our country foolproof? Do we have enough protocols to face different kinds of threats?
# The terrorists posses Indian rupees -- used to pay for rent, and make purchases. How are they able to get Indian currency? Does the RBI keep track of all the Indian rupee notes going outside India?

Mehul's analysis and unanswered questions:

The primary target seems to have been to capture the Taj and Oberoi hotels and take a bunch of hostages.

The events at VT, Leopold's, Metro etc were diversions to create panic and ensure the police were spread thin and could not respond quickly to calls from the 2 hotels.

If the motive was to inflict maximum damage, the terrorists seem to have done very poorly with the resources they had in terms of time, ammunition and equipment. They had more than 600 people locked in the 2 hotels for more than 10 hours before the NSG got there...An AK-47 can fire 600 rounds per minute.

From about 10:30 pm on 26th November to about 8 am on 27th November there was a complete standoff at both the hotels. There were a few guests who managed to get out at about 3 am from the Taj but there was no full scale assault by the Indian forces till the NSG got there at 8 am.

What took place during that period of 10 hours is the key to understanding the motive of the terrorists.

If the terrorists just wanted to kill everyone, they had ample opportunity to do so. They were obviously holding out for some kind of deal. Did the NSG spend those 10 hours negotiating a deal? Did they even make contact? I find it hard to believe that the NSG stormed the place and rescued almost every person taken hostage.

The other worrying thing is..what prevented the terrorists (or some of them) from getting rid of their guns and just walking out of the hotel, pretending to be one of the hotel guests? Hundreds of people got out of the Taj at 3-4am. Were all of them questioned?

The presence of American intelligence officials at the Taj that night adds another twist. There were also a group of EU officials present at the Taj for an Indo-EU summit. The terrorists had also captured group of Israelis at Nariman house. What happened to these groups? Who exactly were they? Were they the targets?

The circumstances in which three top Mumbai policemen charged with investigating the underworld were shot is puzzling as well. Only a trained sharpshooter with inside information could have managed to do this. The fact that the sniper then got away in the police van adds further credence to the fact that he had help from the inside.

# Sridhar wants to know: Is it clear at this point that most of the terrorists are Punjabi? Watching videos on India TV, I see them referring to incidents like Babri Masjid and Gujarat and also sporadic Hindi words like Neta, Shanti and parivar, but the accent is undeniably Punjabi. One terrorist also used the word 'Rab' interchangeably with Allah, and referred to 'Waqt' as 'WAKAT'. What is more all their sound bytes were basic monologues, that they seem to have memorised. And in the Big Picture, looking at their clean cut faces, lithe physiques and smart logistical moves and mastery over weapons, what are the chances that these are not terrorists, but trained Pakistani commandos themselves?

# Deepti wants to know: Why did the security personnel not think of using helicopters to air-drop personnel on the roof tops of the hotels at the beginning? It would have made operation more effective and speedy. They could have made a recce of the roof top in the early morning and could have planned air-dropping commandos on the roof top. Why was that option not considered?

# Vipin wants to know: We all know that the operation took time because the commandos were searching each and every room at the hotels and had no idea in which room the terrorists were hiding. Is it technically not feasible to tell how many people are there across the room with the help of some penetrating laser light etc?

# Ahmed wants to know: How could they have travelled 900 km to Indian territory in deeply guarded waters undetected?

# Viraj wants to know: What was the RDX going to be used for? The police found 8 kgs of RDX behind Taj. Was this forgotten by the terrorists? Or was this a drop point for them to pick up later? The explosions inside the hotels were mainly grenades and plastic explosives.
# There are differing reports on how the top decorated officers got shot. Were they in the same car as reported by the Mumbai Mirror? Or were they shot somewhere else?
# When a machine gun is sprayed normally the cops would have got hit by one bullet. How did Hemant Karkare have 3 shots in his chest? There is still no explanation on why he would remove his bullet-proof vest when he had worn it on live television?

# Srikant wants to know: Was any staff in the hotels on leave for the last few days? Any new employee joining the staff in recent days? This coordinated attack would not have been possible without the help of somebody from the hotel.
# Why was there so much delay in getting the NSG unit from Pune?
# Why was not anything done in terms of jamming the frequencies of the satellite phones? Satellite phones use a different frequency than normal mobile phones so a frequency jammer could have been installed in the hotel vicinity?
# Why are we not getting the stats on the terrorists bodies?
# Have the calls made from the hotels in the last week to places outside India been analysed?

# Gautam wants to know: Why did the terrorists choose a Wednesday night to attacks these popular Western tourist hotels? A weekend might have caused greater damage. This leads me to believe that it might have been convenient for them to do it on the particular day. Maybe the ship they supposedly caught sailed accordingly. It is a possibility that there were groups that arrived by various means to Colaba.
# How many were there in all? I read an eye-witness (a lady staying in the fishermen colony nearby) claiming that she saw 6 people getting out of a boat and walking towards the Taj/Trident. There were definitely more that 6. Since the TV cameras caught a few of them, it should be straightforward to get the exact count along with the help of survivors.
# The TV crew managed to get photos of the terrorists standing in the window with guns. They appeared to look like nice targets for snipers. How come there were no snipers taking shots at them?
# Were there any photographs of the terrorists taken by hostages on cell phone cameras?

# Satish wants to know: From the TV footage, the commandos don't seem to have the following equipment. It would be great to know what the government's position is on equipping the personnel with the following hi-tech equipment: a. Night-vision goggles. These would have helped the commandos gain thermal imagery of the terrorists and their location in the night. B. Headsets with wireless communication: We normally see soldiers deployed in the Iraq / Afghanistan operations using these. C. Bullet-proof vests/ helmets. The vests the officers were wearing appeared to be very flimsy and not effective. What is the quality of these vests?

# Prakash wants to know: 40 hours without sleep or rest?? You can't do it even when you are just sitting. I can't imagine in that intense situation. So were they using any medical stuff?? If so, can't we know through post mortem what those medicines are and how and where the possibility of them coming from??

# Sunil wants to know: Did the government appoint any one officer at the head of the operation to combat these attacks? It seems different group of security forces were working independently without any coordination and clear guidance?

# Sulekha wants to know: The army claims it had sent a warning about a suspicious boat/ship, why wasn't this followed up by the government? Why didn't the army check with the government again to make sure it was followed upon?
# Different passports have been found from the terrorists, what do they suggest?
# Two cars were reported to have sped away with terrorists. Have the cars been found? Have the terrorists been captured? Have they been killed?
# Considering the well planned attack that they have conducted and their eye for detail, isn't it possible that the terrorists have eyes outside of the three locations they captured? What measures are being taken to find out who else could be part of the mission besides the terrorists who have been involved in activity in these three places?

# Ajay wants to know: In one video, when the late Hemant Karkare was putting on his bullet-proof jacket, I noticed that one person was hiding his face from camera. As the camera moved, this guy moved along with the camera by covering his face. Who was that person?

# Rajeev wants to know: I have a simple query to those who have put up CCTV. Is this footage meant to be seen after the event or monitored real-time?

# Kanna says: Suppose A checks into TAJ on 1st Nov, (carries minimum stock). On 3rd Nov at 4 pm B checks in along with his stock. A moves his stock to B's room and checks out at 5 pm. On 6th Nov C checks in at 7 pm. B's stock along with A's is moved to C. B checks out at 8 pm..... and so on till the D Day. A study of the check in and outs should also be studied.

# Siddharth notes: It would be a good idea to review short sale positions on hotel scrips, specially Indian Hotels. Who had taken large short sale positions on Indian Hotels before 26/11? It could lead to some more clues.

# Satish notes: While it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that there is adequate security for each citizen, it is surprising to see the amount of ammunition and equipment present in these hotels. Is it the responsibility of the hotel management to ensure adequate security, checks and balances and compliance with KYC norms? The management of these hotels is therefore equally answerable for the disaster of this magnitude.

The management of these hotels should also provide adequate insurance cover as 5 star hotels charge premium rates from guests. If the management is unable to take care of its customers/premium guests, they have to be equally answerable instead of blaming only the government.

Hotel managements' inability to provide the complete details of its occupants shows the careless attitude of the staff and the failure of the hotel administration as the traffic of terrorists to hotels must be going on for months to plant operations of this size and magnitude. No effort should be spared to put in place a fully considered and partnered solution with joint investigations/thoughts of the management of these hotels and other establishments with the government.

# Moby wants to know: The army said the terrorists keep shifting their positions from one floor to another, and from one room to another. Why was their transit area not checked and blocked initially? To go from one floor to another they would use a lift, stairs or laundry passage. To go from one room to another they have to pass through corridors. Why were all these not blocked and secured initially?

# Sirish wants to know: If the terrorists are killed, why are the photographs not released? This would help intelligence agencies across the states and other countries to check their background.
# Even if we agree that the terrorists landed a few days back and then planned this, did they carry all the ammunition, guns and goods from their hideouts to the hotel? Or was someone waiting for them at these points to hand it over to them?

Mumbai False Flag Attack: Update

Leonard Feldman
Rense
November 29, 2008

As many astute observers noted, the Indian Police, media and TV gave out some earlier information regarding what the captured terrorists said. That is terrorists with an ’s’.

Many have speculated over the last two days that the captured terrorists would be assassinated as is the case with all ‘terrorists’ in false flag operations. Dead men tell no tales. As of this morning, 11-29-08, the Indians say that ‘one terrorist’ remains alive.

The Mumbai ‘terrorist attack’ bears all the hallmarks of a classic False Flag Operation. Hundreds of news stories exist which include alleged information from captured terrorists…PLURAL.

The Indian Police chief said, yesterday, “ALL TERRORISTS ARE DEAD.”
http://news.theage.com.au/world/mumbai-attack-is-over-all-militants- dead-city-police-chief-20081129-6nbg.html

It is possible that when the chief said “all dead” he meant all terrorists in the hotel were dead.

I have watched, carefully, how all major Western media failed to report what the captured ‘terrorists’ said as reported in stories from Indian and other regional press outlets. This seems to confirm that the captured ‘terrorists’ have been assassinated by the Indian police in order to avoid disclosing the real story/cover- up to the world.

http://news.google.com.au/news? hl=en&num=100&lr=&ft=i&cr=&safe=images&q=Mumbai%20attack%20is%20over %20all%20militants%20dead&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wn

However, at the moment of this writing, BBC-TV again aired details regarding what the captured ‘terrorists’ are disclosing. So, we will have to wait and see.

In general, most ‘people in the know’, are expecting many future false flag operations this year and in 2009.

Everyone who wish to track solid information should be extremely vigilant in the first few hours when they hear about the next ‘terrorist attack’ and save all articles posted during the first day of such an event. As is always the case, some of the most accurate information appears first…and is then scrubbed and or modified by the controllers quickly thereafter. Many of the key early stories then vanish from the internet.

Here is a google search for MUMBAI+CAPTURED+TERRORIST … you might want to save it to your computer and watch for vanishing stories in the days ahead. In any case, here are the top stories which show, clearly, that many of the killers were captured quite alive…

65% of Taj Insured by Tata AIG

Terror Cover

After more than 62 gruelling hours of assault at the Taj and Trident-Oberoi hotels in Mumbai, the damage in value terms is yet to be ascertained. However, according to reports both the Taj and the Oberoi-Trident hotels in Mumbai have terror insurance cover.

According to Dr KC Mishra, Director, National Insurance Academy, India, “65% of the Taj’s insurance is with Tata AIG, 30% with ICICI Lombard and 5% with Iffco-Tokio. Trident-Oberoi on the other hand has 100% of its insurance with United India Insurance. And as far as I know about 15% of it is reinsured.”

Terror cover usually provides not only for the property damage but also for all the deaths that have taken place within the premises. “The claim for the latter will be settled on the basis of the value of the human life lost, keeping into consideration the deceased’s designation, earning etc,” says Mishra.

However, G Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director, United India Insurance when asked clarified they “only provide Public Liability Insurance to Oberoi.” However he also added that “Terror insurance is quite popular with large corporate houses and they provide the cover to quite a few of them.”

“With the increased threat of terrorism, public, private, and governmental agencies face an increased need to understand and manage the risk to their employees, organisational assets and business continuity. A detailed risk management plan and insurance covers can effectively reduce the risk and its monetary impact,” says Deepak Sood, CEO of Future Generali India.

However, it may not be easy to acquire terror insurance in a jiffy. “We don’t allow taking terror insurance in the middle. We provide it as an add-on at the beginning of the policy itself,” says S Narayanan, Managing Director, Iffco-Tokio.

Broadly, there are three types of terror insurance covers: At the individual level it is .8%; Non industrial insurance at .13% and industrial at .15%. It might seem intriguing why terror insurance has not been advertised widely despite the spate of recent terror attacks.

“The corporate houses are well aware of it. All the MNCs in India and almost all of the top 100 corporate houses in India have terror insurance. Yes, it is yet to catch up with individuals,” adds Mishra. Considering the fear psychosis across India, chances are that terror insurance may also become as indispensable for the average Indian as life insurance. Clearly, it is all about risk perception.

The terrorism insurance pool was set up by the Union Finance Ministry after 9/11 attacks in the US. All General Insurance companies are part of it and its corpus has more than doubled since to Rs 600 crore. “Capacity is not a constraint at all,” asserts Mishra.

This Jewish center looks increasingly as though it was used as a staging area for the operation:

In a telephone interview with CBC News from outside the centre, freelance journalist Arun Asthhana said there are reports that some of the militants had stayed at a guest house there for up to 15 days before the attacks.

"They had a huge mass of ammunition, arms and food there," Asthhana said.

Watch out for Pak Daily, they are now going full speed ahead on localizing this to a jewish-mossad plot rather then adding the MI6 and Hindu extremist elements (with Mossad help).

This will cause a divide from a G7 plot (headed by MI6 from the evidence thusfar) to a divide and conquer plan...

Either you believe the "Official story" or you are "anti-semetic"

They did this in the first few years of the 9/11 truth movement.

The Mumbai attacks were neither fully Pakistani, nor were they fully Mossad.

Watch for them trying to pigeon hole this debate into the "lesser of 2 evils" tactics.

Here are recent Pak Daily stories:

http://www.daily.pk/world/asia/8386-it-wouldnt-be-thanksgiving-without-a-false-flag-terrorist-attack-in-which-innocent-people-are-murdered-in-cold-blood.html

http://www.daily.pk/world/asia/8383-the-israeli-mossad-false-flag-opperation-strikes-in-mumbai.html

There is some good stuff mixed in with an obvious agenda to divert this to a fully Mossad plot.  There seems to be a lot of evidence of Mossad assistance (as with any G7 plot), but discounting the British and Hindu ties to the attack would be a mistake.

^ Correct Mossad has spies EVERYWHERE, this does not mean they were responsible. The immediate evidence points to MI6 or British funded militants, even UK news papers admit the attack was funded by UK currency in UK Mosques, now tell me how the biggest police state in the world with Talking Cameras and all other kinds of big brother crap, how their top intel agency had "No idea" this was happening, Nonsense.

clearly if pakistan redeploys 100,000 tgroops from the Afghan to indian borders this will give the US military command all the excuse it needs to ramp up operations in Pakistan,. with all those pakistani troops gone the Taliban and its many allied groups will have free reign, after x amount of cross border attacks the US will then pursue across the border and hey presto a new war starts, and sure as hell Obama will have his reason to send a some more divisions to Afghanistan. I am not sure this is the  solution portion of the dialectic, but perhaps mumbai was a case of creating the problem, to foster the reaction, to enable a new problem to which the ONLY perceived solution is a lot mroe troops to Afghanistan and much more aggressive cross border US/NATO military activity.

There is only one place it will lead of course and that is more chaos and a new bloodbath, thus creating the next set of problem and reaction, pushing us towards a new solution in the future,

'Pak may relocate 100,000 army personnel to border'

http://in.rediff.com/news/2008/nov/29mumterror-pakistan-relocating-army-to-border.htm

November 29, 2008 21:35 IST

Pakistan may relocate around 100,000 military personnel from its restive border area with Afghanistan if there is an escalation in tension with India, which has hinted at the involvement of Pakistani elements in the Mumbai carnage, a media report said today.

Private channel Geo News reported that Pakistan's military and intelligence sources told a select group of journalists today that NATO and American command had been told

that Islamabad [Images] would be forced to relocate its military from the borders with Afghanistan if there is escalation in tension with India, where nearly 200 people were killed in the multiple terror attacks on the Indian financial capital.

"These sources have said NATO and the US command have been told that Pakistan would not be able to concentrate on the war on terror and against militants around the Afghanistan border as defending its borders with India was far moreimportant," Geo News quoted senior Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir as saying.

He also said the sources had briefed the media that the decision not to send the ISI chief Lt Gen Shuja Pasha to India was taken after Indian foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee used a very aggressive tone with Pakistani officials on telephone after the Mumbai attacks.

"The decision to not send the ISI DG to India was taken because Mukherjee used strong words with Pakistani officials and warned of consequences," Mir quoted the military sources as saying.

Meanwhile the lemmings that call themselves journalists start the drumbeats for war. If you want to find real journalists, look around you, we are the journalists of our time and should start to act like it. We're the ones who look up the patents to their poisons, we're the ones who talk to witnesses, we're the ones who connect the dots and give the people the bigger picture.

Patrick Cockburn: Pakistan is the root of the problem
The West can’t now lecture the Indian government about over-reacting

The West can’t now lecture the Indian government about over-reacting

Saturday, 29 November 2008

I used to look out from the balcony of a first floor room in the al-Hamra hotel in Baghdad thinking that one day the hotel would be attacked and wondering from which direction the attack would come.

he general consensus among the correspondents and security men in the Hamra, which boasted 65 armed guards, was that the weak point in our defences was the single blast wall about 30 yards from the back of the hotel. On the other side of it was a public car park which anybody could enter.

The consensus view turned out to be all too correct. I was out of the hotel on 18 November 2005 when two vehicles driven by suicide bombers entered the car park. The first rammed the concrete wall and detonated his explosives, the idea being that the blast would open a breach enabling the second vehicle, packed with 1,000kg of explosives to reach the hotel.

It almost worked, but the crater created by the first bomb was so deep that the second bomber could not get through. He blew himself up just short of his target, killing half a dozen people and badly damaging this part of the hotel which has never been reoccupied.

We never knew the identity of the two men who had died trying to kill us, but at that time most of the suicide bombers were Saudis, Yemenis, Egyptians and Libyans. I had been emphasising for several years that the Iraqi insurgency against the US occupation was essentially home grown.

Aside from the suicide bombers themselves, almost all the guerrilla fighters who were launching attacks on American troops and fledgling Iraqi government forces were Iraqi. Most of them had been trained militarily in Saddam Hussein's army or security forces.

At that time the White House and the Pentagon were still ludicrously pretending that the Sunni Arab uprising which spread so fast after the summer of 2003 was a mixture of foreign fighters and "remnants" or "dead enders" of the old regime. It was easy enough for me and other correspondents to pour scorn on this idea. Iraq was full of weapons and every household owned one. No foreign suppliers were needed. Whenever there was a successful ambush of US troops in a Sunni area, local people would dance with joy amid the blazing vehicles.

We were essentially right about the rebellion being home grown, but perhaps we should have emphasised more the significance of foreign support for the rebels. The American neo-cons were openly boasting that after overthrowing Saddam, the Iranian and Syrian regimes were next on the US list. Not surprisingly, both governments had an incentive to make sure US rule in Iraq never stabilised.

Nor were they alone. All the conservative Sunni Arab regimes of the Middle East were alarmed by an American land army in Iraq in support of a Shia-Kurdish government. The anti-American guerrillas found they had many friends.

In the immediate aftermath of the murderous attacks in Mumbai much of the analysis has a familiar ring, but now it is the West which is downplaying foreign involvement. Indian allegations about "external linkages" of the terrorists is wearily reported as an unfortunate resumption of Pakistani-Indian finger pointing.

Television and newspaper commentary on terrorist outrages is frequently provided by self-appointed "terrorist experts" whose credentials remain mysterious. These supposed experts now emphasise the alienation of Indian Muslims and suggesting that the origin of the terrorist assault on Mumbai is home grown, the fruit of the radicalisation of Indian Muslims by systematic discrimination against them by the Indian state. Exactly who was behind the bloody mayhem in Mumbai is still unclear. The Hindu newspaper was yesterday reporting that three of the suspects captured by the police were members of Lashkar-i-Taiba (the Army of the Pious), which has several thousand members in Pakistani-controlled Kashmir, and the gunmen had arrived In Mumbai by ship from Karachi in Pakistan. The group is one of the three largest fighting against India in Kashmir.

The origins and motives of the men who slaughtered so many people in Mumbai will emerge in the coming days. But already the butchery should be underlining one of the greatest of the many failings of the Bush administration post-9/11. Pakistan was always the real base for al-Qa'ida. It was the Pakistani ISI military intelligence which fostered and partly directed the Taliban before 2001 and revived it afterwards.

It is Pakistan which has sustained the Islamic jihadi fighters in Kashmir where half the Indian army is tied down. Yet the Bush administration in its folly allied itself to General Pervez Musharaf and the Pakistani army post-9/11, ensuring that jihadi groups always had a base.

It is self-defeating hypocrisy for the West to lecture the Indian government now about not over-reacting and not automatically blaming the Pakistani government or some part of its security apparatus for Mumbai. The way in which the Pakistani military has allowed Kashmiri and Pakistani militants free range in Pakistan created the milieu from which the attacks this week came. It may be that the monster the ISI created is no long under its control, but it is ultimately responsible for what has happened.

The real political background to Mumbai is succinctly summed up by Ahmed Rashid in his excellent book Descent into Chaos: How the War against Islamic Extremism Is Being Lost in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia. In Pakistan, he writes, "a nuclear-armed military and an intelligence service that have sponsored Islamic extremism as an intrinsic part of their foreign policy for nearly four decades have found it extremely difficult to give up their self-destructive and double-dealing policies". Unless Barack Obama can persuade them to do so he will achieve no more as president than Mr Bush.

I never really quite know what to make of those date patterns. They creep me out. 911 days after 9/11/01 we had the Madrid bombings. 911 days after the murder in the Netherlands of poltician Pim Fortuyn, Theo van Gogh was murdered. Both assasinations had an abundance of evidence of being inside jobs. And now this. I have no idea what to make of it, but it always turns up.

David all this shit , this propaganda originates from the UK then is  mocked by American Media through AP and Reuters.  That article's author says now  it is no longer Afghanistan, No Longer Iraq, put now it is Pakistan... Then when the war in Pakistan is over who will it be? Where will the next group be? well they will be all over the place by that time because the viewed U.S. Imperialism (the U.S. is just a military tool of the Elites now). The more countries these people declare war de facto war on , the more rebellions against these policies there will be. They made this successful in Iraq when they first invaded their were barely any insurgents, and in 05-06 there were 10's of thousands according to the pentagon.

This is all going back to Albert Pike's 3rd World War prediction, in which the Muslim population has a war with the Christians. Every Muslim Country we attack creates a larger army of angry muslims.

The whole idea is to make the developing countries destroy themselves and have the the Oligarchs in London and now, there counterparts in other countries, sit back and reign, they've done it that way for a long time. Certain aspects of Britain have been involved in almost every war in American history. The war of 1812, who do you think shipped the slaves over here and started the Civil war? , World War 1+2 Without a doubt.
