It isn't far fetched.  Remember a bicycle was allegedly used in that "terror attack" against that federal building (court or w/e it was) in California.  It was very clear to me that this was purposely introduced as a "new tool" of terrorists, albeit rather subtly, because it was not a talking point that was hammered upon, but the seed was planted, and that's all it takes, because they can build off of that later.  You underestimate the literal seriousness that the NWO has when they talk about Full Spectrum Dominance.  As far as they are concerned, you are not even supposed to be able to have the freedom to think whatsoever, much less act on your thoughts or stand up for anything.

We’ve already heard how getting off oil would help us fight terrorism, and we know that climate change is a security issue, so we are confused, then, why a report over on the BBC claims that bike racks may be sacrificed in the name of keeping us safe. Evidently architects and engineers in the UK have been putting a great deal of thought into ‘terror-proofing’ buildings, undeniably a worthy cause, but this has lead to the decision to axe bike parking facillities at some major venues and railway stations (Bonnie already reported on the protests about this last week):

    "There's a sense of panic about this. The truth is that railway stations cannot be protected from people carrying bombs like on 7/7. You can't check everyone coming into railway stations. The numbers involved are far greater than aeroplanes."

    He [Rail expert Christian Wolmar] fears the penalty will be paid by innocents like cyclists who will no longer have bike facilities, a problem highlighted at St Pancras and the Emirates Stadium.

    "We can't let them win by changing our way of life. We need a bit of the Blitz spirit."

Police Believe Recovered Bike Was Bomber’s
In a new development on Friday morning, investigators say they strongly believe that a bicycle recovered on Thursday morning was the one ridden by the person who bombed the Times Square military recruitment station earlier that morning.

The bicycle is a Ross model, blue in color and in “fairly” good shape, said one law enforcement official.

“We are operating on the premise that it is the bike,” said the official, although no specific announcement of that has been made.

The bicycle was found in or near trash receptacles at Madison Avenue and 38th Street on Thursday morning, said Raymond W. Kelly, the city police commissioner. He said the police learned of it around 7 a.m., about 3 hours and 15 minutes after the bombing.

Detectives were carefully scrutinizing the bicycle for potential forensic evidence or fingerprints. It was found early in the morning by some workers who — after hearing news reports that the Times Square bombing involved a bicyclist — told an employee at a nearby building that it might be important evidence and to call 911.

“After people had it for a while, somebody thought ‘Hey, did you hear about it,’ ” the official said. “A lot of people handled it. They told someone in the building, an administrator or someone.”

A surveillance camera captured video of a man in the area near where the bicycle was found and, as technicians worked to enhance the images, investigators increasingly came to believe the image was that of the suspected bomber. Again, the official said, the investigators are “working on that premise,” that the man seen in that surveillance footage is the suspect.

In it, he is wearing a hooded jacket or a jacket over a hooded sweatshirt, the official said, adding that the characteristics of the footage made it difficult to determine, at this point, with specificity.

Early Friday morning the police distributed fliers in Times Square seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the bombing or may have information about it. A $12,000 reward has been offered for any information that leads to a conviction in the bombing.

Hours after the bombing two developments — with a potential for a trove of leads — had investigators scrambling, around the nation.

But by late Thursday night, the developments were seen as strange coincidences not connected to the bombings and by Friday morning one of them had been designated as a strange sideshow and the other all but ruled out as consequential.

In the first development, letters were received on Thursday by members of Congress with pictures taken before the blast of a man standing in front of the recruiting station with his arms stretched wide and the words, “We did it. Happy New Year.”

The letters, more than 30 pages each, were indexed with numbers indicating they were mass produced and mailed with a return address from California. A man’s name was printed at the bottom. At first, officials thought the claim, “We did it,” might be a claim of credit for the bombing. But federal agents tracked the man down, waited for him as he left a health club, pulled him over in his car and talked to him.

His story — and denials of being the bomber — were believed to be credible, the law enforcement official said.

“He admitted the mailings and said the picture was an old Christmas card,” said the official, who said the man’s car and house had been searched. The words of the letters, sent mostly to the offices of Democrats, were “all simple political urgings to the Democrats,” the official said. “ ‘Do this, do that, you messed that up,’ and right up to talking about November 2008 election.”

Mr. Kelly, on the morning cable TV news programs, said the “We did it” line was believed to be a reference to the Democrats winning control of Congress in the 2006 midterm elections.

“The letter’s really innocuous,” Mr. Kelly said in an interview on CNN. “It’s really advice to the Democratic Party as to how to win the 2008 election. It’s the type of information that pundits put out all the time on television. There is nothing particularly threatening in the document.” The letters arriving on the day of the bombing were chalked up to “bad timing,” in the words of one official.

As for the second development — it had investigators re-examining an incident from about a month ago at the Canadian border. At that time, anarchist writings and photographs of various spots around New York City — including the military recruiting station and the police station in Times Square — were discovered in one of four bags recovered by the authorities in a car crossing the border.

At the time, the contents “raised suspicions,” the official said, and New York City detectives visited every location depicted in the photographs to “tell them to be on their toes.” But there were no corresponding threats and no weapons found in the bags.

“And at the time, it was filed away,” the official said.

Then, when the bombing occurred, the authorities decided to take a new look at the Canadian border crossing incident. They went over the facts: Two of four men in a car got out and tried to cross the border on foot; the authorities pursued them but did not catch them; when the car was inspected at the checkpoint, each of the four bags were found to have contained four foreign passports for four people. In one of the bags were those writings and photographs, the official said.

But as they examined the facts, this lead, too, began to fizzle, officials said.

The investigators became “satisfied they were not doing anything illegal in New York,” the official said of the four people, whose names and photos were gleaned from the passport. “And satisfied they were not in New York at the time we got the information.”

Though investigators are still going over the facts and tying up some unanswered questions, the official said, “I don’t think anybody believes they are connected to the bombing.” However, the official said, things are still being “looked at.”

Times Square returned to business as usual Friday as police investigating the explosion at a military recruiting center looked at dozens of security videotapes, hoping to identify the bicycle-riding bomber.

Among the videos was one showing a hooded cyclist pedaling toward an area where a bicycle was found ditched in the trash, and another with someone walking away from the same spot, police said.

Investigators suspect the bike — a 10-speed in good condition — may have been used by the bomber in the attack just before dawn Thursday on a landmark military recruiting station. Police released a photo of the blue bicycle on Friday, along with a picture from the video of the cyclist.

There were no injuries or serious damage from the bombing, which mirrored two previous small explosions at consulates in Manhattan.

"We're in the process now of identifying those cameras, downloading them," NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly told CNN on Friday. "We've got a lot of cooperation from the businesses in the area, and we're doing the normal investigative steps that you would expect in a case like this."

Authorities said there was no connection between the blast and a letter sent to as many as 100 members of Congress bearing the words "Happy New Year, We Did It."

Officials said the lengthy anti-war letters — sent to congressional offices with photos of a man standing in front of the recruiting office before it was damaged — contained no threats.

Laura Eimiller, an FBI spokeswoman in Los Angeles, said agents questioned a Hollywood man about the letters to Congress and searched his home and concluded "there is no evidence linking the letters, which contained no threat, to the bombing."

A law enforcement official in Washington, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation of the bombing was continuing, called the timing of the letters an "incredibly unbelievable coincidence" and said no charges were expected in connection with them.

Such a transcontinental security arrangement might involve an expanded NATO, linked by cooperative security agreements with Russia, China, and Japan. But to get there, Americans and Japanese must first set in motion a triangular political-security dialogue that engages China. Such three-way American-Japanese-Chinese security talks could eventually involve more Asian participants, and later lead to a dialogue with the Organization for Cooperation and Security in Europe. That, in turn, could eventually pave the way for a series of conferences by European and Asian states on security issues. A transcontinental security system would thus begin to take shape.

Defining the substance and institutionalizing the form of a trans-Eurasian security system could become the major architectural initiative of the next century. The core of the new transcontinental security framework could be a standing committee composed of the major Eurasian powers, with America, Europe, China, Japan, a confederated Russia, and India collectively addressing critical issues for Eurasia's stability. The emergence of such a transcontinental system could gradually relieve America of some of its burdens, while perpetuating beyond a generation its decisive role as Eurasia's arbitrator. Geostrategic success in that venture would be a fitting legacy to America's role as the first and only global superpower.

Some of the people caught up in the Mumbai attacks, which targeted two of the Indian city's top hotels, a railway station, a hospital and other sites, have been describing their experiences.

Police say at least 78 people have been killed and more than 200 injured.



ALAN JONES
Alan Jones was in Mumbai on business, and was at the Trident Hotel, which adjoins the Oberoi Hotel, with a colleague when the attacks happened.

"We took the lift to the lobby and heard bangs as the door opened. A Japanese man, one of four men in the lift, was shot and wounded at that precise moment," he told BBC News.

"I frantically pressed the "close door" button but had to move the shot man's foot for the doors to close.

"We headed back to our rooms on the 28th floor of the hotel but were quickly instructed by staff to go to a "safe" room in the basement.

"There, we met many residents, but nowhere near all of them. After approximately an hour, we were escorted from the hotel, and, with the help of our local office, made our way back to the office we've been working at.

"It's still near the affected area but feels more secure.

"We're under the impression that there are still gunmen in the Oberoi -Trident complex, with many residents still inside."


ALEX CHAMBERLAIN
Alex Chamberlain, a British man in Mumbai on business, said he had escaped from the Oberoi hotel which was on fire.

He told the British television broadcaster, Sky, that when he was in the hotel a gunman ordered people upstairs.

"They told everybody to stop and put their hands up and asked if there were any British or Americans. My friend said to me, 'don't be a hero, don't say you are British'.

"I am sure that is what this is all about. They were talking about British and Americans specifically."

Fearing that he would be asphyxiated by smoke in the stairwell, Mr Chamberlain said he had managed to escape through a fire exit with another person.

But his Indian friend was "still on the roof of that hotel somewhere" while armed police surrounded the building.


SANVAR OBEROI
Mumbai resident Sanvar Oberoi said he was near the Chhatrapati Shivaji railway station - one of the targets - when the attacks began.

"On hearing two loud distinct bomb sounds we rushed back home," he told BBC News.

"On our way back at Marine Drive, a long stretch of sea-facing road, we saw the deployment of a large police personnel and safety measures being carried out such as evacuations.

"We saw a team of ambulances and police vehicles racing past on the other side of the road.

"Even in the posh area of Nepeansea Road and Malabar Hill all apartment buildings' gates were tight shut and police check posts set up.

"Colleges and offices have announced that they are shut for tomorrow. The entire city is in panic and shock.

"Cell phone networks are down, slow, congested.

"Mumbai indeed has seen its share of terrorism but never in the past 18 years to such a large and bold extent."

I'm not so sure this is a black op.  Usually black ops work in the shadows and are well coordinated .  We have pictures and video of the terrorists.  Plus, some died and some were arrested.  No way would that happen if this was a black op.  Most likely this was a provocateur attack from several intelligence agencies using dupes and patsies.  The fact that they were unknown up to today makes me think that they were funded and armed by intelligence, most likely CIA, MI6, and ISI. The usual suspects.
