BUTCHERS OF MUMBAI ARE BRITS
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/73438/Butchers-of-Mumbai-are-brits
Saturday November 29,2008
By Paul Jeeves, John Twomey and Cyril Dixon

Anti-terror police were last night investigating a “British connection” with the Mumbai fanatics.

They were examining links between Britain’s Islamic community and the killers who slaughtered at least 160 victims.

Highly-placed sources in India claimed that at least seven of the killers, who caused carnage in India’s commercial centre, had strong British connections.

Two of them were said to come from Leeds, as did two of the four London July 7 bombers.

Another of the gunmen – all believed to be from Pakistani backgrounds – was alleged to have links to Bradford in West Yorkshire and a fourth to Hartlepool on Teesside. Investigations are also underway in Dewsbury, Yorkshire.

Although there was no official confirmation of the links, counter-terrorism officers were last night understood to be active across the North.

The clearest evidence of British involvement came from Indian Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who said that two British-born Pakistanis were among eight arrested.

Last night one of the Indian commandos involved in the gun battles said they had seized at least five BlackBerry devices which the Islamic extremists had used to access British news websites, including live TV streams.

A senior officer in the country’s elite Black Cat commando unit said the  devices meant that the terrorists could keep abreast of developments outside their boltholes even when power supplies to the hotels they were attacking were cut off.

“There was a lot of content from the English media, not just in London but the Urdu and Arabic sites that are very strong in the North of England,” he said. “We have some analysis started on this and we will pass it on to Scotland Yard.”

A senior security source said: “The situation is far from clear, but you cannot rule out the possibility that a number of young men from home-grown communities are mixed up.”

A police source said: “We are probing the underbelly of religious extremism but are having to tread extremely carefully. The fallout of 7/7 is still rife among these communities and there is a real reluctance to co-operate.

“It is a fast-moving situation in India, but we have to be on top of things as they emerge and cannot rule out any links to the UK.” The source added: “The camps in Pakistan are full and many of the people inside are Britons.”

The source suggested that the attack could have been revenge for the killing of Rashid Rauf, a British Al Qaeda chief blown up by the US last week.

Some sources speculated that Rauf, the son of a baker, may even have helped to plan the mounting of outrages similar to the Mumbai massacre.

Birmingham-born Rauf, said to have been linked to an alleged plot to set off bombs on packed transatlantic planes, died in a missile attack.

A leading British expert on terrorism also suggested that coverage of the Mumbai atrocity was creating a new phenomenon – celebrity terrorism.

“What the Mumbai terrorists really wanted was an exaggerated and preferably extreme reaction on the part of governments, the media and public opinion,” said Paul Cornish, head of Chatham House think-tank.

“In these terms, the attackers received as much attention as they could possibly have hoped for, and the Mumbai outrage can only be described as a very significant terrorist success. Welcome to the age of celebrity terrorism.”

Foreign Secretary David Miliband and Prime Minister Gordon Brown both said it was too early to confirm whether the gunmen in Mumbai were British – but added that the possibility was being investigated.

The British Al Qaeda connection was exposed on July 7 2005 when four Muslim fanatics killed 52 innocent people in suicide bomb attacks on the London transport network.

Ringleader Mohammad Sidique Khan came from Dewsbury and had recruited his cohorts in West Yorkshire mosques.

The 31-year-old teaching assistant brainwashed British-born Hasib Hussain, 18, and Shehzad Tanweer, 22, both from Leeds, and Jamaican-born Germaine Lindsay, 19, from Aylesbury, Bucks, to join him.

British anti-terror police are now running photographs and film footage of the estimated 25 Mumbai gunmen and potential suspects through the latest image-recognition computers.

A spokesman for Counter-Terrorism North confirmed their involvement in investigating possible links.

But he stressed: “At this stage, we are not in receipt of any intelligence or information linking the events in India to our area.”

The two Britons believed to have been arrested were seized after commandos stormed two five-star hotels and a Jewish centre in attempts to free hostages.

I think the financial district enabled them to attempt to kill two birds with one stone, 1 halting the Indian Economy 2 De-Stabalize region.

It appears their primary goal was destabalization and they picked bombay for the cherry on top.

i thought this too, except its more like 34 birds killed with one stone.

Everytime they mention that they are British, they follow up with "Pakistani backgrounds."

They were born in Britan!

They used British weapons for MI6

They used MI6 style command and control centers

Briton has been running propaganda from the first hour

At least one of them was blonde

MI6 has been recruiting young Pakistanis for some time as reported in the earlier articles using social networks

Now Scotland Yard is investigating, WTF!

More homegrown anti-terror laws to come to UK and other G7 nations.

Ohh i am sure David Milliband is investigating, probably panicking trying to get his assets out of Indian custody. That son of a bitch is a genocidal maniac, millband. He says the shelling of the 2000 S. Ossetian civilians was justified because a small group of them burned their own houses down. "Tit for Tat" he says, f**k him

Family mourns massacre victim
http://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/news/Businessman39s-brother-killed-in-Mumbai.4742500.jp
Published Date: 28 November 2008

A BRITON killed in the Mumbai terror attacks is the brother of a former Hartlepool [Some of the "terrorists" were also from Harpool, WTF?] businessman. Andreas Liveras, the founder of a luxury yacht business, was pronounced dead on arrival at St George's Hospital in Mumbai. He is the brother of Chris Liveras, who started a family business in 1982 producing frozen cakes and gateaux in Hartlepool. Grieving relatives in town today paid tribute to Andreas.

Dion Liveras, 51, who is Andreas' nephew and one of Chris's children, said today : "It is a major shock. We are distraught as a family and would ask for our privacy to be respected at this time."  Andreas was in a hotel in Mumbai as terrorists attacked. Guests were sent to the basement for their protection when the five-star Taj hotel was raided.  Less than an hour before his death, he gave a recorded telephone interview and described the terror around him. Andreas, 73, who emigrated to London in 1963, said: "All we know is the bombs are next door and the hotel is shaking every time a bomb goes off. "Everybody is just living on their nerves."

Andreas Liveras ran a chartered yacht company in Monaco where he advertised "the world's most impressive private yachts to the charter community". In his online biography he describes his life as a "classic rags-to-riches tale". In 1963, his family migrated from Cyprus to London. He began work as a deliveryman for the Fleur De Lys bakery, operating out of a Kensington basement. He stepped in to buy the business when the owner wanted to close it. He sold it in 1985 to Express Dairies for an eight-figure multimillion-pound deal, when he had turned it into one of the largest independent manufacturers of frozen gateaux in Europe.

The sale meant he could move on to his growing passion for yachts.  Andreas Liveras is believed to be the brother of Chris Liveras who set up bakeries in Hartlepool and Stockton in the 1980s and 1990s. Chris Liveras came to England from Cyprus in 1956. He founded a cake business called CDL44 in Hartlepool in 1981 when he was 44. It was later acquired by food giants Allied Lyons in 1988. He went on to form Livera Foods in Stockton. Chris Liveras went to live in his native Cyprus in 1994 after his business in Stockton crashed.

LaRouche has an update on his site:

British Authorship of Mumbai Terror Spilling Out
Increase  DecreaseNovember 28, 2008 (LPAC)--London newspapers are headlining British involvement in the ongoing terror attacks in Mumbai, India.

The London Mirror, November 28, headlined its coverage: "SEVEN MUMBAI GUNMEN ARE FROM `LEEDS AND HARTLEPOOL'" and continued, "Seven of the terrorists ... are British, Indian government sources claimed yesterday. They said two British-born Pakistanis are under arrest. And another five suspects are said to have been born and raised here.

"Two of the seven are from Leeds, one is from Bradford and one from Hartlepool, the sources claimed.... The Hartlepool suspect was allegedly found in the ... Taj Mahal Palace hotel. .... The man from Bradford and one from Leeds were allegedly discovered on the 17th floor of the Oberoi-Trident Hotel.... A second man from Leeds was allegedly captured near a jetty after a gang of around 25 terrorists landed in Mumbai by boat on Wednesday.

"The suspects were allegedly found with documentation, possibly including passports, which revealed their origin. The sources say they also spoke to each other in a heavily-accented Punjabi common in UK Pakistani communities."

The Mirror reports that British Prime Minister "Gordon Brown yesterday urged caution, saying it was premature to draw any conclusions. He said Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had not told of him of any evidence at this stage that Britons were behind the massacres."

The Mirror comments, "If the terrorists are Britons, the UK security service will have to urgently discover how they slipped through the surveillance net.... Since the early 2000s Britain has had an unwelcome reputation as a haven for Islamic radicals."

The Daily Telegraph headlined its story, "MUMBAI ATTACKS: ARE THEY BRITISH? British police have flown to India to establish whether any of the terrorists who killed 150 people in the Bombay massacre had links to the UK."

The Evening Standard, under the headline "Mumbai siege gunmen are from Britain," reports that Security sources have told the Standard that "it is known that dozens of British-born Pakistanis have traveled to Pakistan in recent years to train in its [terrorist] camps. One source said recently: `The camps are full and many of the people inside are Brits."

Briefed on the two Brits being arrested as gunmen in Mumbai, Lyndon LaRouche said: "This phenomenon is suggestively similar to the number of Saudis or people with Saudi pedigrees who were involved in the 9/11 attacks in the U.S. in 2001."

It is official now, all UK news outlets are reporting that the terrorists are british

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23594184-details/Mumbai+siege+gunmen+are+from+Britain/article.do

They are trying to spin the Pakistani heritage issue as much as possible, but how did they get grenades, RDX, concussion bombs, car bombs, MI6 type tactics, etc?

EIR Exposed British Role As Terror Haven in 2000
Increase  DecreaseNovember 28, 2008 (LPAC)--On Jan. 11, 2000, Executive Intelligence Review Counterintelligence Director Jeffrey Steinberg submitted a memorandum, on behalf of the Editors of EIR, to then-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and eight other top Clinton Administration national security officials, as well as leaders of both the House and the Senate, calling for Great Britain to be put on the State Department's list of state sponsors of terrorism. The Steinberg memorandum exclusively drew upon official government documents from India, Egypt, Israel, France, Algeria, Peru, Turkey, Germany, Libya, Nigeria, Yemen and Russia--all in the form of diplomatic demarches, protesting London's harboring and supporting of hardcore terrorist organizations.

In light of the ongoing Mumbai attack, it is noteworthy that the Steinberg memo to Albright began by noting that the issue of Britain's role in supporting international terrorism ``has been recently highlighted, as the result of the December 1999 Indian Airlines hijacking, and the response of the British government to the request of one of the freed Kashmiri terrorists, Ahmed Omar Sheikh, to be given safe passage to England. Mr. Sheikh, a British national, was tried and convicted in India, for his role in the kidnapping of four British nationals and an American in 1995. He was sentenced to five years in prison on November 1988. Initially, the British government announced that it would provide Mr. Sheikh with safe passage to Britain, and would not prosecute him or make any effort to extradite him back to India.''
The recurring pattern, documented in the EIR memorandum, was that the British government provided safe-haven and political protection, as well as financing, to known terrorists, and turned a blind eye when mosques in Britain were used as recruiting grounds for terrorists, who were then sent to training camps, and on to live operations.Russia strongly protested the role of British mosques in recruiting terrorists who went for training in Afghanistan, throughout the 1990s, and wound up in Chechnya.
The EIR memorandum was published in the Jan. 21, 2000 issue of Executive Intelligence Review, and was widely circulated, at the time, among governments around the world. Secretary of State Albright never responded to the EIR document.

British Terrorist Link 'Unlikely'

11:00pm UK, Friday November 28, 2008

Reports that two gunmen arrested after the Mumbai terror attacks are British-born Pakistanis are "seriously unlikely" to be true, according to Sky sources. Indian news channel NDTV said "British citizens of Pakistani origin" were among the militants who launched attacks on two hotels, a Jewish centre and a railway station. The chief minister of Maharashtra state, Vilasrao Deshmukh, claims two British-born Pakistanis were among eight gunmen arrested by Indian authorities, according to reports from the Associated Press. But Sky's foreign affairs editor Tim Marshall said sources told him: "The early reports in the media of some British activity is thought to be seriously unlikely, although the situation is not definitive."

And Prime Minister Gordon Brown said there was no suggestion of a British link after a conversation with India's Prime Minister. "At no point has the prime minister of India suggested to me that there is evidence of any terrorist of British origin," Mr Brown said. "But obviously there are huge investigations being carried out. "It would be premature to draw any conclusions at all."

A spokesman for the Foreign Office added: "We have spoken to Indian authorities at a high level and they have said that there is no evidence that any of the terrorists either captured or dead are British." Earlier today, Mr Brown told Sky's Adam Boulton in an exclusive interview: "It is very important that we strengthen the co-operation between India and Britain in dealing with these instances of terrorist attacks."

An unknown group calling themselves Deccan Mujahideen have claimed responsibility for the wave of terror in Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay. But experts have not heard of the group and there was speculation they may be an off-shoot of the Indian Mujahideen or Lashkar-e-Toiba. In the past, LET has fought Indian rule in Kashmir and has been linked to Pakistan's intelligence agency. Reports said at least three of the apprehended militants were members of the group - but the organisation has denied any part in the attacks. South Asia expert Rani Singh has told Sky News the terror attacks have all the hallmarks of the LET - and the Deccan Mujahideen could be a red herring. "This attack has gone to a level we have not seen before," she said. "To go for seven targets and cause this much confusion, use this much weaponry... means this is taking it to a very scary level."

In an address to the nation, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said the group that carried out the attacks "was based outside the country" He added a warning to India's neighbours "that the use of their territory for launching attacks on us will not be tolerated". But Pakistan has hit back at the accusations - with defence minister Ahmed Mukhtar saying his country "should not be blamed like in the past". "This will destroy all the goodwill we created together after years of bitterness," he said. "I will say in very categoric terms that Pakistan is not involved in these gory incidents."

An editorial in Pakistan's Daily Times newspaper said India should consider terror groups within their own borders. "Ongoing investigations into some (past) terrorist attacks that were alternately blamed on Indian Muslims and Pakistan have shown that they were actually carried out by a Hindu terrorist network," the editorial said. Rani Singh, who has been a frequent visitor to Kashmir and has been embedded with the border security force, said it is important both India and Pakistan work together to fight terrorism. "We've started to see the anti-Pakistan rhetoric," she said. "It's important to cut through that. I don't think it's a situation that can be easily contained. "You might eliminate one group - but another will be trained and come up behind them."

Comments to the story

Mr T, Are you honestly trying to say that voting BNP will stop islamic terrorists? What about the racial hatred that the BNP have for other non white people? I hate what the islamic terrorist are doing too, but have the brains to know that voting BNP isn't going to solve the situation.By the way, i thought i would point out im Sikh. Thanks

Of course they are British, next thing of course will be their "human rights" This country needs to wake up to these people before its too late. I hope they stay in Pakistan because I for one do not want to pay for their time in prison. That is of course provided they are sent to prison and not back to the UK to be helped with counselling.

Sunny Singh, the fact of the matter is this, the 'Muslim' is forcing people (black, white yellow, you name it) to the far right, people have had enough of them! Sad but true! And if these terrorist are British born we don't want anymore, do you!

Of course they're not wrong about them being British Pakistanis.Where else would they be allowed to develop taught and learn other than under the good old British idea of fairness. Where was the intelligence on this group where were the cia fbi mi6 and other agency when these ******s were learning their trade. Britain has surveillance on every street corner unmarked police cars roaming freely the government is tapping into everyone's calls and yet surprise surprise we know NOTHING..The question here is how much we allowed this to happen and WHY!!!!!! The government has to act against Britons involved in terrorist acts- in 1939-45 Traitors and anti British sentiment were dealt with severely. Now we give them an ASBO-----BROWN WAKE THE HELL UP!!!!!

If they are, I will be really tempted to do the one thing I swore I never would - vote BNP"Well Done Sharon, you have just proved how thick and ignorant some people in the UK are. How would voting BNP stop Islamic terrorists.
Posted By :Sunny Singh Report

Can we try and remember that only a few months back terrorists bombed the Marriot hotel in Pakistan, and that Pakistani president's wife was killed by terrorists. The new administration in Pakistan has taken unprecedented action in trying to build bridges with India. Don't you think if Pakistan had the resources and skill it would have rooted out the criminals themselves? Pakistani and Indian intelligence agencies have to work together to get the perpetrators. Pakistan has repeated said it cant do it itself.

Two of them were said to come from Leeds, as did two of the four London July 7 bombers.

It seems that MI-6 has a lot of patsy cells in Leeds.

Article written on the 19th about Iran / British tension by a brit:

December 2008 | 153 » Essays » Blame it on the Brits
Most people think British power has declined over the past century, but not the Iranians. On the 30th anniversary of the revolution they remain deeply suspicious of British motives. These feelings are now irrational, but are grounded in history

Christopher de Bellaigue
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Christopher de Bellaigue is the author of The Struggle for Iran (NYRB)
On 4th November, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's beleaguered president, lost his interior minister. Ali Kordan was impeached after his curriculum vitae was found to be full of lies. Most egregiously, Kordan credited himself with an honorary doctorate from Oxford University, a claim belied by a university statement denying all knowledge of him, his misspelled degree certificate and his apparent belief that Oxford University is in London.
Kordan says he was duped; he received his degree, he claims, from someone who had introduced himself as Oxford's "Tehran representative." To Iranians inclined to believe him, this exotic (but non-existent) post conjures up memories of the country's Shah-era past, when British agents plotted to embarrass and even topple Iranian governments they did not like. To conspiratorially-minded Iranians, all too aware of Britain's history of meddling in their affairs, the minister's woes have a familiar ring.

Those who suffer from this syndrome imagine Britain to be fathomlessly powerful and duplicitous, constantly striving to achieve Iran's collapse—a nation of people capable, in the Persian saying, of "cutting off your head with cotton." To a remarkable degree, this perception has survived the end of empire and the decline of Britain's global influence. No country in this age of cramped diplomatic horizons is more comforting to the British ego than Iran.

***

To be a British diplomat in Tehran is to be privileged with suspicion and abhorrence. To the Tehrani in the street, Britain's power is confirmed by its ownership of two huge embassy compounds, which occupy many acres of verdant garden and are dotted with English suburban cottages. The absence of diplomats from the US, with which Iran has no diplomatic relations, means that Iranian ire at western perfidy is directed at the British embassy, whose chancery windows occasionally afford a view of stage-managed crowds burning Union Jacks and hurling rocks. Many Iranians ascribe to the British a combination of Machiavellian cunning, Metternichian realism and mystical omniscience. Far from being America's servant, Britain is often credited with duping the Americans and getting them to do its bidding. (Recent evidence includes the division of labour in occupied Iraq, where Britain assigned itself the relatively quiet south, leaving America to deal with the much tougher Sunni heartland.) When, during a round of nuclear negotiations, a British official dropped a piece of paper detailing Europe's diplomatic strategy (which was leaked to the press), clumsiness was ruled out. Iran's foreign minister speculated that the paper was dropped "on purpose."

I work as a journalist in Iran and when I tell people that I'm British, their reactions range from surprise and supercilious amusement to outright hostility. Occasionally, I feel as if I am trapped in the comic novel Uncle Napoleon. The book was written in 1971 by a Shah-era diplomat called Iraj Pezeshkzad and is set in the early 1940s, when Iran was occupied by Britain and the Soviet Union. It is full of well-drawn comic types, but none is as memorable as the eponymous paterfamilias, named for his admiration for Napoleon. For the benefit of his large, fractious family, Uncle Napoleon vaunts his youth as a gendarme, fighting British-backed miscreants and bandits early in the century. In truth, Uncle Napoleon's adversaries were a motley bunch but his imagination turns them into legions of crack British troops, whom he single-handedly kept at bay, displaying tactical acumen the equal of Napoleon's. Now that the British have taken control of Tehran, Uncle Napoleon gets it into his head that they will take revenge on him. He sleeps with a shotgun under his pillow, and accuses his faithful retainer of taking British money and plotting to kill him. Uncle Napoleon's paranoia is the book's leitmotif, conducting him first to insanity and finally death.

Banned after the Islamic revolution of 1979, presumably for its ribald dialogue and descents to schoolboy scatology, Uncle Napoleon remains beloved by many Iranians, either through bootleg offsets or, more often, DVDs of the television series it inspired. Meeting Pezeshkzad after the book came out, Amir Abbas Hoveida, Iran's pre-eminent courtier-politician of the time, asked if the character of Uncle Napoleon had been drawn from his own uncle. "It's as if," Hoveida told the author, "you'd recorded verbatim his words and expressions, and put them in the mouth of Uncle Napoleon." Pezeshkzad demurred: "There are enough Uncle Napoleons in our country to make up several Napoleonic armies, all of them products of the same school of thought."

When I moved to Iran in 2000 I already felt burdened by the sins of my forefathers, having lived in Turkey, where Britain is disliked for its role in the break-up of the Ottoman empire, and before that in India. But nothing had prepared me for the Iranian instinct to ascribe diabolical intentions to the British. For these Iranians, I discovered, it is axiomatic that every Persian-speaking Brit—there are not many of us—must be a spy. And the more an Iranian public figure fulminates against the British, the more he is assumed to be covering his tracks, and to be one of the British "lackeys" who have, over the past two centuries, betrayed their country for British favours. Above all, there is a sense that Britain, whatever its status in the world, remains spitefully determined to interfere in Iranian affairs. (This is how many Iranians view Britain's trenchant opposition to Iran's nuclear programme.) Once, having telephoned a famous Iranian author for the innocent purpose of asking her a question about one of her books, I heard her whisper to someone in the room with her, "When will these British leave us alone?"

During the early period of contact between the two nations, in the 17th century, the opulence of the Persian court provoked envy and amazement on the part of the British. By the late 19th century, however, as Britain and Russia vied for influence over the feeble Qajar dynasty, admiration had given way to contempt. In his great national survey Persia and the Persian Question, the young George Nathaniel Curzon described a court elite presiding with "splendour and frippery" over a land of exquisite eastern torpor, excelling only at corruption.

Britain, Russia and other European countries encouraged successive Qajar Shahs to take out loans, and won lucrative trade concessions. This alarmed those Iranians, including progressive clerics and merchants, who advocated the limiting of the sovereign's powers and the consolidation of popular sovereignty in a parliament. For a while, Britain, in contrast to Tsarist Russia, did not oppose the demands of the constitutionalists, and in the summer of 1906, some 1,200 of them were given sanctuary in the grounds of the British embassy—a quaint congregation of mullahs and their supporters, fed from massive cauldrons, debating the merits of constitutional rule as guests of the world's pre-eminent constitutional monarchy. Under great pressure, the Shah reluctantly granted the protestors their parliament.

Britain's support for the constitutionalists soon withered. The Anglo-Russian agreement of 1907, under which Britain and Russia divided Iran into two spheres of influence, was negotiated and signed without Iranian knowledge, and caused immense ill-will. The Russians now intervened decisively in the still-unresolved struggle between the constitutionalists and the Shah. In 1907 they bombarded parliament on royal orders, and they later carried out massacres in the constitutionalist stronghold of Tabriz.

It was Curzon, as foreign secretary, who definitively established Britain's reputation among Iranians for deception. The agreement that he reached with Iran in 1919, when post-revolutionary Russia was briefly absent from foreign affairs, would have turned Iran into a British protectorate in all but name. Negotiated in secret, the agreement was denounced in Iran as a sellout, and its Iranian sponsors as traitors. The deal was never ratified, and patriotic Iranians interpreted subsequent events in the light of Britain's alleged resolve to get even.

Over the decades that followed the reminiscences of British diplomats in Tehran are full of allusions to the collective distrust that Iranians felt for Britain, and their attribution to the British of extraordinary powers—quite different from their feelings towards the Soviets, who, while violent and brutal, at least seemed guileless. Iran's royal houses were not immune from the fever. The rise from obscurity of a Cossack officer called Reza Khan, who founded the Pahlavi dynasty in 1925, was universally (and probably accurately) ascribed to the British; Reza, in turn, conceived a quite irrational fear that his own son, Crown Prince Muhammad-Reza, was a British spy. Reza Shah's decree forcing Iranian women to give up the veil, compromising their Muslim purity; the rise and fall of public reputations; even the marriage, in 1939, of the Crown Prince to an Egyptian princess; these and other occurrences were ascribed to the "old lion," Britain, and its Iranian servants.

In the susceptibility of Iranians to "Uncle Napoleonism"—whereby the sufferer sees the hidden hand of the British behind all events—one may diagnose an abdication of responsibility and a pretext for the sort of historical determinism that encourages inertia in public life. But the actions of the British, and their treatment of Iran as a dependency to be first tamed and then milked, suggest that the Iranian view has some basis in truth. In 1941, Reza Shah was deposed by the British in collaboration with the Russians, ostensibly for being too pro-German. Over the next decade, as his successor Muhammad-Reza struggled to assert authority over a revived parliament, Britain continued to manoeuvre prime ministers in and out of power; one British ambassador referred to the parliamentary opposition as "our opposition." But Iran was stirring, and nationalist sentiment eventually brought to office a brilliant figure determined to reorder Iranian politics on the basis of national independence and popular sovereignty: Muhammad Mossadegh.

An urbane, European-educated champion of democracy and constitutional monarchy, Mossadegh regarded national self-determination as compromised by the British, as incarnated in the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC). The AIOC enjoyed a monopoly over the exploitation and sale of Iran's prime resource. The huge refinery at Abadan on the Persian Gulf coast was Britain's biggest overseas asset: itself a small empire, its internal workings stinking of racial discrimination, its account books shielded from the Iranian government. For Mossadegh and his supporters, it would be preferable for Iran to forego its royalties from the sale of oil rather than continue to accept the loss of sovereignty implicit in this arrangement. In the spring of 1951, he steered through parliament legislation to nationalise the AIOC, and shortly after, to popular acclaim, was swept to power as prime minister.
In Britain, bruised already by the break-up of its empire, the press howled. As the Iranian flag rose over the refinery at Abadan, and Mossadegh's popularity soared across what would soon be known as the third world, Attlee's Labour government feared that "Mossadeghism" would spread and jeopardise Britain's other strategic assets, particularly the Suez Canal. Mossadegh was denounced with a vitriol formerly reserved for that earlier anti-colonialist, Mahatma Gandhi. One senior diplomat, who had, in any case, a low opinion of the "Oriental character," likened the Iranian prime minister to a "cab horse."

Now, in the decolonising 1950s, Britain tried to stop the clock. At the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, Ann Lambton, a formidable Persian grammarian who had worked as a propagandist in wartime Iran, advised that Mossadegh should be ousted. For much of 1951 and 1952, from the British embassy in Tehran, a group of MI6 and diplomatic officers, Persian-speakers for the most part, explored the possibility of toppling the prime minister. They sounded out the Shah, who loathed Mossadegh, and, using bribes and threats, they cultivated assets in society and the bazaar. Meanwhile, hopes for a diplomatic solution, never very high, foundered on Mossadegh's refusal to back down on the principle of nationalisation, and the determination of Winston Churchill's new Conservative government to right what it regarded as a historic "wrong."

***

The coup d'état that finally toppled Mossadegh, in August 1953, was carried out by the CIA. Mossadegh, alive to British plotting, had broken off bilateral relations and expelled Britain's diplomats and spies the previous year. In inspiration, however, the coup was British. Britain had persuaded America that Mossadegh was a cat's paw for the communists, and that he or his leftist allies would drive Iran into the Soviet orbit. The danger, as later scholars have shown, and one of the CIA coup-makers has hinted, was greatly exaggerated, but the British knew which American button to push. And so an intervention coloured by pique, delusion and racial arrogance was presented as a blow against communism.

The coup did not arrest Britain's decline. The British were forced to accept US participation in an international consortium that was set up to run Iran's oil industry; by the end of the decade they had ceded to the US their pre-eminent position in Iranian affairs. Mossadeghism, too, continued to spread, even if its author languished in an Iranian jail. In July 1956, Egypt nationalised the Suez Canal, and this time America obliged the British to withdraw and accept the fait accompli. It was clear to all that British prestige had suffered an irreparable blow.

To all, that is, but the Iranians. The myth of British power survived America's long Iranian heyday, an era of military and economic co-operation that allowed the Shah to exercise a vindictive despotism over his people. The Shah himself, having been brought to power by the British in place of his father, never lost his fear and resentment of his old sponsors. As the 1979 revolution approached, Iran's ambassador to London spent much time conveying the monarch's displeasure at what were regarded, in Iran, as the BBC's pro-revolutionary broadcasts, and at Private Eye's disconcerting practice of referring to the King of Kings as the "Shit of Persia." After 1979, many disappointed monarchists suggested that the revolution had been got up by the British, jealous at being supplanted by the Americans in Iranian affairs. Even now, some opponents of the Islamic Republic persist in claiming that the British, despite occasional shows of animosity to the Islamic Republic, are actually in cahoots with the ruling clerics. Such is the nature of Uncle Napoleonism; it surpasses reality.

In eight years of living in Tehran, I have only once been able to exploit Uncle Napoleonism to my advantage. I have an old leather briefcase which I took for repair to a bag-maker in a street near the British embassy. When I went to pick it up, the bag-maker said that I would have to pay double his original quote. I objected, but he stood firm. He would return my case only if I paid him the higher price.

Furious, I leaned across the counter and looked into the bag-maker's eyes. Then, pointing to the Union Jack outside, I said in as menacing a voice as I could muster, "It seems you have forgotten which embassy stands there at the top of your street."

It took a second or two for the bag-maker to register the threat. Then the colour drained from his cheeks. "Alright!" he said, "Alright! Give me whatever you want! Just take your briefcase and go!"

Uh, you mean the terrorists had GPS traceable blackberries that disclosed their location within one foot?

Wow, wonder why nno one was monitoring their blackberries which is done all the time (illegally-but now it will be legal with new "thought crime" laws)

It is a mix.

This is similar to when Bhutto was assassinated.

they finally said she died from her head bouncing on a sunroof.

monitor the reports, they go back and forth from UK and India news outlets.

I have noticed the shift too.

"Live free or die hard"

The control rooms must have had some very sophisticated systems, like police band communications and infiltration.

They knew exactly where the high value targets were and how to take them out.

The equipment must have so much traceability almost like a DNA fingerprint.

Mumbai terrorists used Chechen tactics

The terrorists in the Indian city of Mumbai, who killed more than 150 people and injured over 300, used the same tactics that Chechen field militants employed in the Northern Caucasus, says Russian counter terrorism presidential envoy Anatoly Safonov.

In towns of the Northern Cauasus in 1990s, terrorists seized homes and hospitals and took numerous hostages.

"These tactics were used during raids by militant Chechen field commanders Shamil Basayev and Salman Raduyev against the towns of Buddyonnovsk and Pervomaiskoye. For the first time in history the entire towns were terrorized, with homes and hospitals seized. The Mumbai terrorists have learned these tactics well," Safonov told Russian news agency Interfax on Thursday.

Safonov says that the terror in Mumbai is proof that the anti-terror measures on a regional level are insufficient.

“The world is spending enormous resources to fight nonexistent threats and to support the military adventures of the leaders of certain countries. And it turns out that a big city may be unprotected against the raid of a handful of terrorists. This is another warning that in the global world terrorism truly remains the greatest challenge," Safonov said to Interfax.

He also pointed out that now it’s the task of Indian special services to track down the terrorist group behind the attack on Mumbai. Safonov said they would need to determine whether it was “a subsidiary of some prominent terrorist organization”.

The presidential aide expressed hope that the Russian-Indian working group for combating terrorism will meet in the near future.

"We express our support and condolences to the people of India and sympathize with the families that lost relatives and dear ones in the terrorist attack in Mumbai," Safonov said.

On Thursday terrorists attacked 10 targets in Mumbai, including several five star hotels, a cafe and a railway station.

Police say they have regained full control over the city.

Obama Campaign Linked To Chechen Terrorism

By Webster G. Tarpley

2-3-8

"I am glad [Brzezinski] is a "former" national security adviser. Hatred cannot drive foreign policy." Russian UN ambassador (now Foreign Minister) Sergei Lavrov, Charlie Rose program, March 25, 1999

"How would Americans feel if Russia offered sanctuary to Osama bin Laden?" -- Pravda.ru

If the American public were generally aware that the "foreign minister" of one of the most murderous terrorist organizations in the world, a man whose extradition on terrorism charges is sought by at least one UN Security Council permanent member, is living openly in Washington DC, they might be indignant. If Americans knew that this is the "foreign minister" of a terrorist group specializing in killing women and children first in a hospital, then in a school, and later defenseless civilians in a theater, their indignation might grow into rage. If they knew that this envoy for terrorists is living in the comfortable Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington DC with a lifestyle most Americans could not afford, with an office, a secretary, a travel budget, and a public relations budget all paid for at the expense of the US taxpayers, with State Department checks signed by Condoleeza Rice, they might be furious. If they knew that this ambassador for terrorists had been set up in his current all expenses paid, taxpayer-funded lifestyle by a man who is the main image adviser and the main foreign policy adviser to Barack Obama, their view of the Illinois senator and his qualifications for the presidency might well undergo a radical change.

And yet, all this is reality. The terrorist organization in question is the Chechen rebel group associated with the names of two of the greatest butchers of our time, Aslan Maskhadov and Shamil Basayev, both deceased even though the organization they built fights on. The foreign minister and ambassador for this terrorist group is Ilyas Khamzatovich Akhmadov (born December 19, 1960, who was granted political asylum in the United States in 2003. Akhmadov's patron is none other than Zbigniew Brzezinski, the former head of the National Security Council during the Jimmy Carter administration and, before that the co-founder with David Rockefeller of the Trilateral Commission in 1973. Zbigniew Brezezinski in turn is not only the main foreign policy adviser to the Barack Obama presidential campaign; Zbigniew is in many ways the creator of the public relations image profile now being used by Obama in his quest for the White House, an image that is developed in Zbig's latest book, Second Chance. Zbigniew's son Mark Brzezinski, a veteran of the NSC under Clinton, is another key foreign policy adviser for Obama. Mika Brzezinski, daughter to Zbigniew and sister to Mark, churns out a propaganda line slanted in favor of Obama every morning on the MSNBC Morning Joe program. Ian Brzezinski, another son of Zbigniew, is busy poisoning US relations with Russia from his post as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Europe and Russia in the Bush Pentagon. Yet another member of the clan, Zbigniew's nephew Matthew Brzezinski serves as a de facto public relations representative for Akhmadov, whitewashing this envoy for Chechen terrorists in the pages of the Washington Post. The entire crew is made of of petty Polish aristocrats notable mainly for their fanatical, consuming hatred of Russia and Russians. The family project is to hitch the remaining military power of the United States to their monomania of hatred. If they are allowed to succeed, the bloody excesses of the neocons in the Middle East will seem like schoolyard games by comparison, since the Brzezinski gang wants to court all-out confrontation with a first-class thermonuclear power that is moving well ahead of the US in certain crucial types of strategic weaponry. The now-infamous neocons have been careful to pick on powers with little or no strategic retaliatory potential. Brzezinski lacks this faculty of discrimination. This is the reality behind the messianic edification and utopian platitudes dished up by Obama. Under an Obama administration, Americans will risk getting a reminder of what real war looks like, and they may discover that it is a two-way street.

Voters who may be wondering what the foreign policy of a future Obama administration might look like need to learn from recent painful experience with George W. Bush and look closely at the foreign policy advisers around the candidate, since it is these figures who will prepare the policy options and, by so doing, will determine the course of a new administration. For Bush, these advisers were the self-styled "Vulcans," figures like Wolfowitz, Condi Rice, Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, and Cheney, most of them neocons and most of them chosen by George Shultz, who created the disaster of the Afghan and Iraq wars. Even though Bush might have been a blank slate in foreign policy, it was evident from the presence of these neocon warmongers which direction the new regime would choose. Who then are the corresponding figures around Obama? A cursory look reveals that in foreign affairs and not just foreign affairs, Obama is the creature of the Brzezinski machine.

"HE'S A TERRORIST, THERE IS NO DOUBT ABOUT IT."

The country that wants Akhmadov extradited into their custody to stand trial for multiple murder charges is the Russian Federation, which has repeatedly requested that Akhmadov not be allowed to stay in Washington. Russia has been demanding Akhmadov's extradition since 2003. "He's a terrorist, there is no doubt about it," commented Aleksander Lukashevich, senior political counselor at the Russian Embassy in Washington. "We have proof . . . Our foreign minister has made Russia's position on extradition quite clear." "Harboring terrorists, their henchmen and sponsors undermines the unity and mutual trust of parties to the antiterrorist front," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in an address to the U.N. General Assembly in 2004. Russian President Vladimir Putin commented during a visit to India in December 2004: "We cannot have double standards while fighting terrorism, and it cannot be used as a geopolitical game." Akhmadov's presence in Washington is thus already a major irritant in US-Russia relations. Seen in this context, Akhmadov emerges as pawn in the Brzezinski clan strategy to set the United States and Russia on a confrontation course, a strategy they plan to impose on Obama, who is their clueless puppet in international affairs.

Voters may remember the Chechen terrorists for their greatest atrocity, the September 2004 attack on a school in Beslan, North Ossetia, located in the ethnically diverse trans-Caucasus region of southern Russia. At that time, Chechen terrorists took hundreds of hostages in an elementary school. Before the terror attack was finished, more than 300 persons, mainly school children and women, had been massacred. The responsibility for this atrocity was claimed in a formal statement by the terrorist leader Shamil Basayev, a reputed CIA agent later killed by Russian troops. This infamous Basayev, one of the fiercest terrorists of our own or any other time, is generally acknowledged to have been the direct superior officer, mentor, and friend of Ilyas Akhmadov, the protege of Zbigniew Brzezinski now living at US taxpayer expense. Akhmadov himself admits his close relationship to Basayev, whom he first met in 1992. In 1994, when the Chechen secessionist rebellion began, Akhmadov was quick to join an infantry unit commanded by Basayev operating near the Chechen capital of Grozny. Akhmadov's other great terrorist sponsor was the Chechen rebel "president" Maskhadov, who named Akhmadov to the job of foreign minister which he still claims to hold, despite his claims to disagree with the terrorist policies of the government he continues to represent. Maskhadov was killed by Russian forces. Akhmadov, who demands Sam Adams on draft, not in bottles when he is thirsty, told Zbigniew's nephew Matthew that he no longer approves of what Basayev and Maskhadov did, but his complicity is beyond doubt. (See Matthew Brzezinski, "How a Chechen terror suspect wound up living on taxpayers' dollars near the National Zoo," Washington Post, March 20, 2005.)

1995 BUDYONNOVSK HOSPITAL MASSACRE BY AKHMADOV'S FRIENDS

In 1995, a group of 150 Chechen terrorist fighters commanded by Basayev attacked a Russian hospital in Budyonnovsk, about 100 miles north of the Chechen border. Basayev and his terrorist commandos took more than 1,000 hostages at the hospital, leading to a siege by Russian forces which lasted a week. Basayev's Chechen terrorist fighters used the defenseless Russian patients and staff as human shields. In the ensuing fighting, more than 100 Russian hostages, including many women and children, perished. These are the forces which Akhmadov has represented and continues to represent, with the American taxpayer footing the bill.

Akhmadov's track record is so horrendous that even some important Republican Congressmen resisted granted him asylum in the US. The 2003 House Judiciary Committee Chairman F. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wisconsin), and the chairman of the Immigration and Border Security subcommittee, John Hostettler (R-Indiana) jointly demanded that the then Attorney General John Ashcroft review the ruling that granted Akhmadov political asylum. "If the United States had evidence that Mr. Akhmadov was involved in terrorist activities, it is unclear why he was not barred from asylum as a terrorist and as a danger to the security of our nation," they told Ashcroft in September 2004.

ZBIGNIEW: "ONE OF THE HAPPIEST DAYS OF MY LIFE"

"In July 2004...after running up legal fees that (if he had had to pay them) would have set him back $250,000, Akhmadov received the final decision. He could stay in America," writes Matthew Brzezinski. He does not make clear who footed the bill for Akhmadov's quarter million dollars of lawyers' expenses. Was it the American taxpayer? In any case, there is no doubt that the pro-Akhmadov lobbying was spearheaded by Zbigniew Brzezinski and his faction of Russia haters. When Akhmadov was granted permanent asylum, it was apparently Zbigniew Brzezinski who called to give him the news: "I'm not exaggerating when I say that one of the happiest days of my life was when I called Ilyas to tell him that he would be able to stay in America," said Zbigniew Brzezinski, as quoted by his own nephew, Matthew. (Washington Post, March 20, 2005)

Akhmadov was later given a Reagan-Fascell grant by the State Department. This provides him with a generous stipend for living expenses, an office at the National Endowment for Democracy complete with private secretary, plus extra money for travel and public relations purposes ,Äì all courtesy of the American taxpayer. Would an Obama administration, with an anti-Russian foreign policy dictated by Zbigniew Brzezinski and his clan, bring Chechen and terrorists in large numbers to this country, provided that they were anti-Moscow? Would these terrorists get Reagan-Fascell grants from the State Department, so that they could live and operate at US taxpayer expense? What impact might that have on US-Russian relations? If these terrorists were to orchestrate a huge atrocity in Russia that had their fingerprints all over it, what might the Russian response be? Do we really want to go down this road in deference to the psychotic obsessions of an aging revanchist and Russophobe like Zbigniew Brzezinski?

Especially after the publication of Matthew Brzezinski's whitewash of Akhmadov, the presence of an ambassador for such a terror organization being maintained by the US taxpayers in Washington DC became a public scandal. The scandal came out in the pages of Johnson's Russia List, the scholarly clearing house for information about Russia. Professor Robert Bruce Ware of Southern Illinois University offered the following facts to challenge the Matthew Brzezinski article, which had claimed that Akhmadov was now a penitent for the actions of the Chechen terrorist regime: "On August 2 and September 5, 1999, the Russian Republic of Dagestan was invaded by about 2,000 terrorists from al-Qaeda-connected bases in Chechnya. Dozens of innocent Dagestani men, women, and children were murdered. According to figures furnished by the UNHCR, 32,000 people were driven from their homes. The invasions were potentially genocidal in that they exposed to direct attack the entire ethnic territories, and all villages, inhabited by some of Dagestan's smaller ethno-linguistic groups, such as the Andis. During these months Illyas Akhmadov was serving as Chechnya's foreign minister. He did not resign from that position. I have been able to find no evidence that Akhmadov issued any public statement repudiating the invasions of Dagestan during the six weeks that they were in progress. During interviews with Dagestanis since that time, I have been able to find no one in Dagestan who is aware of any public statement issued either by Illyas Akhmadov or Chechen President Aslan Maskhadov repudiating the invasions while they were in progress, let alone offering to assist the people of Dagestan in resisting them." (Robert Bruce Ware, "Response to Brzezinski," Johnson's Russia List, March 20, 2005)

Professor Ware challenged the Brzezinski cabal to justify their support for Akhmadov and the Chechen terrorists, especially in the light of Bush's posturing that those who harbor terrorists are themselves to be classified as terrorists: "We Americans can easily imagine how we would feel if we were to discover that Mullah Omar, or any other important Taliban official, had been granted political asylum in Russia. ...Now here are my first questions for Illyas Akhmadov, the Brzezinski clan, ... and everyone else cited in the Brzezinski article: If the United States was correct to declare the entire Taliban government a terrorist organization, then why isn't the Russian government correct to declare Chechen government, including Aslan Maskhadov and Illyas Akhmadov, to be a terrorist organization? If we would think it wrong of Russia to grant political asylum to Mullah Omar, then why do we not think that it is wrong for the United States to grant political asylum to Illyas Akhmadov? Why didn't Illyas Akhmadov resign from the Chechen government when Dagestan was invaded? Why didn't Illyas Akhmadov resign from the Chechen government when Aslan Maskhadov refused to extradite the leaders of the invasion of Dagestan? During the months of August and September 1999, Illyas Akhmadov was shuttling between Moscow and Grozny in order to negotiate these points with Russian officials. During those months did Illyas Akhmadov personally refuse, or convey refusals, of requests such as these? Exactly what record is there that Illyas Akhmadov ever issued a public statement repudiating the invasions of Dagestan while those invasions were in progress, or supporting the extradition of the invasions' leaders? (Robert Bruce Ware, "Response to Brzezinski," Johnson's Russia List, March 20, 2005)

Geostrategic Players and Geopolitical Pivots

"Geopolitical pivots are the states whose importance is derived not from their power and motivation but rather from their sensitive location and from the consequences of their potentially vulnerable condition for the behavior of geostrategic players.  Most often, geopolitical pivots are determined by their geography, which in some cases gives them a special role either in defining access to important areas or in denying resources to a significant player.  In some cases, a geopolitical pivot may act as a defensive shield for a vital state or even a region.  Sometimes, the very existence of a geopolitical pivot can be said to have very significant political and cultural consequences for a more active neighboring geostrategic player.  The identification of the post-Cold War key Eurasian geopolitical pivots, and protecting them, is thus also a crucial aspect of America's global geostrategy."

The Brzezinski Plan may be to use Pakistan as a geopolitical pivot in order to either raise tensions with China or to intimidate the Chinese. Thus making it easier to create a confrontation between Russia and China, which has been Brzezinski's goal for over 30 years.

Ohhhh who would tell the patsies they would come back alive..and they are well trained mercenaries , look at what they did.  Indian source:

Mumbai: The lone terrorist nabbed alive by National Security Guard (NSG) commandos has reportedly his Mumbai Police interrogators that he and his 39 colleagues were given the impression that they would come back alive after carrying out their mission of mayhem in India’s commercial capital.
Ajmal Amir Kasab revealed that the terrorists were scheduled to sail out of Mumbai on Thursday, adding that their recruiters had even charted out the course to be taken with the help of a global positioning system device. Kasab also told police they had done a reccee of Mumbai few months ago. He said he had come along with eight operatives, posing as students and lived in a rented room at Colaba market.

Sources told a newspaper that this safe return bait was enough to convince the terrorists to undertake the audacious mission that has so far left over 120 dead, including several foreigners and over 300 injured.

Full coverage: Mumbai terror attack

According to Ajmal, the Lashkar-e-Taiba had trained all terrorists in marine warfare. According to one report, they received training in a special course called Daura-e-Shifa which converts a routine terror strike and into a specialized commando raid.

According to a Times of India report, Ajmal has revealed the name of his fellow jihadis, all Pakistani citizens, as Abu Ali, Fahad, Omar, Shoaib, Umer, Abu Akasha, Ismail, Abdul Rahman (Bara) and Abdul Rahman (Chhota).

The terror group is said to have set off for Mumbai on November 21 from an isolated creek near Karachi without the deadly cargo of arms and ammunition they were to use against the innocents in Mumbai.

The group received arms and ammunition on board a large Pakistani vessel which picked them up the following day. The vessel, whose ownership is now the subject of an international probe, had four Pakistanis apart from crew members.

A day later, they captured an Indian-owned trawler Kuber and killed all four fishermen on board. The skipper, Amarjit Narayan, was forced to take them to India and was killed immediately thereafter.

Ismail, one of the terrorists and a trained sailor, is said to have then guided the trawler towards Mumbai and reached its shoreline on November 26.

Breaking news from TV channels

The group slowed down its advance and planned for a landing after dusk. They shifted to inflatable boats and disembarked at Badhwar Park in Cuffe Parade and began their killing spree, distributing themselves in batches of five.
(Terrorists with inflatable boats?)

Kasab, who sustained minor injuries in the police firing in Girgaum, was produced before the Esplanade Metropolitan Magistrate on Friday and a magistrate has remanded him to police custody till December 8.

Kasab and Ismail are said to be terrorists who gunned down Mumbai anti-terror squad Chief Hemant Karkare, Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Kamthe and encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar.

Sources say that the satellite phone and global positioning system (GPS) map recovered from the trawler Kuber is now among the most crucial pieces of evidence.
The trawler was owned by Vinod Masani and had a five-member crew. Sources said that it is likely that the trawler was hijacked near the maritime boundary, where incursions by vessels on both sides are frequent.

Vinod Masani and his brother Hiralal have been detained for questioning by the Gujarat police. The four fishermen on the boat, Balwant Prabhu, 45, Mukesh Rathod, 20, and Natu Nanu, 20 and Ramesh Nagji, 37 are still missing.

I think they're gonna get away with it Sane, unless Indian Intel can drop a bombshell.  All this sophistication in the minds of the Indian public screams ISI (and in the minds of the World Sheeple too).  But, the connection you have to make is ISI = Mossad/Mi6.  These guys keep themselves so far away from the action that it's difficult to pin anything on them--one can hope against hope for 1 thing to happen here (and I can't believe I'm writing this):  get the white hats in the ISI to talk to their foes in Indian Intel and if they collaborate together, maybe they can come out with something.

Until then, the stupid rhetoric of "terrar" "aaarabs" "Al-Quida-Iraq-binLaden" will remain in the minds of the sheep.

Did renegade Western Special Forces train Mumbai killers?

LONDON – Agents for Britain's MI5 intelligence service have concluded tactics used by the Mumbai terrorists have raised the chilling prospect that they were trained by someone who had acquired his skills in Western special forces – or had obtained its secret manuals on how to launch a full-scale surprise attack against one of the world’s largest cities, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

"We cannot rule out that the training of the killers could have been done by Muslims who had served in the Army, U.S. Special Forces or the Russian Spesnaz," said an intelligence source.

While MI5 agents try to pin down if Britons actually were involved in the attack, a specialist team is working with the Ministry of Defense to comb the records of all those who served in the army and underwent specialist training.

"There is a possibility we cannot discount that someone would have converted to radical Islamism and taken his military skills to one of the Islamist training camps in the north of Pakistan," added the intelligence source.

The link with Pakistan has been reinforced through satellite surveillance by the U.S. National Security Agency, which tracked the ships that brought the terrorists close to Mumbai. From the ships, the terrorists launched themselves in small high-speed craft – similar to vessels used by pirates in the Horn of Africa – to enter the busy waterway of Mumbai. As many as 100 came ashore undetected.

Keep in touch with the most important breaking news stories on global terrorism with Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, the premium, online intelligence news source edited and published by the founder of WND.

All the intelligence points to the terrorist units having been given pre-determined targets.

Each unit worked in small numbers, and members were linked to each other by state-of-the-art cell phones.

Some of the units placed explosives in specific target locations. Others seized foreign hostages at key hotels. Their brief was to separate the British and American "infidels" from others.

If the G7 creates some infighting that might blow down the whole house of cards.

But this looks like total disinfo/misinfo because they included Russia.

Saying that this could be US or Russia is like saying this could be Cuba or Japan.  They use completely different equipment, tactics, training, etc.

This is more like the style of a Russian hit:

Sane i know that, its British Propaganda. Here is what i believe is going on:

MI6 hired 100 or so merc's , supplied them with high tech gear and had controllers on the ground in India during the attacks. During these false flags you need to look at the INITIAL reports, before they are distorted, and they stated MP5 / STEN Sub Machine Guns, Blue Eyed British terrorists, british citizens etc.......

So i think here, Britain got caught with their pants down trying to destabalize pakistan and now they  just flew the calverly in (the lords and other MI6 compartments etc..) to use whatever leverage they have to get the Indians to go along with this (lies). I think the FBI will be used to forge/connect it to Pakistan and the British will some how pay off or leverage their way out of this. It may even be possible that an MI6 Operative was captured considering the massive amount of investigation and other figures Britain is sending to India.

The sudden change in news from Britain reporting Al Queda, to India reporting local groups and britons, Britain denies, India changes to possibly no British.. They are changing this crap as they go.
