What I want to know ( and I do live in the British Isles in The Midlands ) is the source of all these illegal firearms ?

While the press claims illegal rogue gun smiths are to blame, I find difficulty in swallowing that explaination. I really, really, really do want to know how the criminals are getting ammunition. After all you need a firearms certificate to buy any ammunition in the United Kingdom.

To get a firearms certificate in the United Kingdom is very difficult. You have to be vetted by Special Branch, have an officer visit your home and inspect your gun, ammunition and storage cabinet. They even have a complex set of regulations concerning the cabinet, and how much ammunition you can keep at any one time.

Claiming you want to have a firearm for the purpose of protecting yourself is not considered a reason to own a firearm.

Please can some one explain what is going on ?

So everytime I hear Alex Jones ranting on about the need to get a firearm, I find it annoying and frustrating.

get a crossbow, or blow gun, but other than that id say get out of your country, its like the us only condensed and amplified in terms of tyranny. i dont think this is the place to be discussing how to obtain an illegal weapon, as im sure your big brother is reading it as well.
i suggest moving to the US if you want a legal gun, but who knows how long that will last with obama. a rag and bottle of booze is effective, also

get an ak since they arent legal in most places anyways. its possible for 25 american or whatever that is in dollars. ammo goes by the 1--- rounds, and its not like anyone will come to check it cuz you would have to deal with them appropriately.

I think it is good to discuss how the criminals are getting hold of firearms.

In my humble opinion,
the offical explaination is exceedingly lame when examined.

In my humble opinion,
covert agencies like the CIA have been caught gun-running in the past,
so why not assume that they are responsible for the illegal firearms,
probably as part of the so called "peace process" trading away the stock pile of weapons.

Even the criminals find it hard to get hold of such weapons. They are only displayed now and then for the cameras, as the everyday gun crime reports show lowest quality firearms.

Crossbows are overated, and highly regulated and illegal at any useful poundage.
