why is it that in one breath, he derides pot smokers, saying they walk around stoned all the time, and that you cant find good help [in Austin] because the "walk around stoned all the time".....then, when it comes to Willie Nelson, he says "oh yea, he's such a great guy..he cares about people.  great guy."

Isn't Willie Nelson just a freaking pothead then?  A useless pothead?  That would make some of those propeller head programmers in Austin just as bad as him:  stupid pot smokers?!?!?!

Alex admits that pot isn't as bad as alcohol, so this sounds very contradictory to me.

Kinda makes me mad about the unfounded persecution and prosecutions of those who don't want to "sip prozac and drink fluoride" or destroy their livers.  This needs to stop.  People that are smart, do good work, have talent at their jobs cant smoke pot?

There is a difference between people that smoke pot and potheads, just as there is a difference between casual drinkers and alcoholics.  Obviously the pot is not habit forming, but it's the excessive use that creates stoners, which are not always the most useful people because they don't have a lot of motivation.  That is just a matter of moderation, otherwise, pot is fine and I think that is what Alex is trying to say, it's fine in moderation like most things.

well, that is obvious.  let's take DMT for example.  It is produced naturally in the human pineal gland, and it is the MOST illegal drug in the world.  i don't know from experience, but apparently, it let's you see past the painted reality that the NWO wants you to focus on, but that is pure speculation on my part.

true, but where do you draw the line.  i have a "friend" that smoke every day and runs 3 businesses, and highly successful....You have fallen victim to a false assumption of its effects.  Some might need it for (physical) medical purposes, and some might need it instead of prescription psycho-therapeutic drugs that can cause a psychotic break.

Don't apply a general standard to everyone.

its hypocritical and seems like a sheltered view of what pot or weed does. my father is sheltered in such a way that he uses the word dopehead, which is entirely wrong as dopeheads shoot heroin through hypodermic needles and arent smoking doobies like willie nelson.

but yea might as well eat prozac and drink hard liquor because its legal........


i find it hard to find a good job in the nyc area seeing as either become a cog or work for an alcoholic who benefits from small business.

I wasn't saying that smoking every day is bad.  I smoke every day and I am very productive and I'm not ashamed to admit it.  I was merely stating that some people will sit there and rip the bong for hours and have no motivation to do anything, those are stoners and that is where you draw the line.  I have known people like that over the years, I think everyone has.  Medical stuff doesn't count, if I had a debilitating illness, I'd be smoking all the time instead of taking prescription drugs.  I know my stuff, I was just making a statement about moderation, and how it is important to differentiate between the moderate users and straight up potheads.

Is it probation?  I think it is a misdemeanor offense unless you are dealing.  Maybe the laws are different in Illinois.

I think Alex, like many awakened people, have seen how much of a complete scam the drug war has been thus far. Even if he does smoke (which I highly doubt he does), he realizes that "moderation in everything" is the way to go. And he would want to hire people who believe in the same philosophy because, let's face it, potheads aren't always the quickest when it comes to logical thought (with the rare exception, of course, like your friend). I think pot can be a big help for certain people, but others, it just kind of turns them into giggling, useless idiots (nobody here, just from what I've witnessed). They're not violent or aggressive AT ALL, but they tend to not take things as seriously as when they're not completely baked off their ass.

I like Willie Nelson, and I can understand why Alex looks up to him, but god, lay off the idol worshipping, Alex! Alex today cannot control himself and is fawning all over him - 'people who look up to you as a role model', 'you're such a kind, gentle person', 'you're prolific', 'I know you don't like talking about yourself', etcetera. I think it makes even Willie Nelson feel a little squeamish - he just wants to be treated like a normal guy, not some sort of messiah.
