Maybe he thinks that the vote might not go through and they are trying to strong-arm the people that they think will vote no?  Or maybe waiting and let McCain vote first   Huh

This just solidifies that fact that Washington does not work for the people. If they were working for the people, then they would have listened to the calls from their const back home. Instead they just say that we have no clue what we are talking about and and pass what they want. I am shocked that there isn't a pay raise in here.

Yea, the bailout is only one of the three...they gutted H. R. 1424 and placed it with an act in 3 divisions on finances.

All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills. (Article 1, Section 7)

The bill says...
Purpose: In the nature of a substitute.
Constitution doesn't say anything about substituting.  What the F**K
Is there precedent for this?
This is exactly why the Constitution forbade Senators to introduce bills having to do with finance.

The people of this nation overwhelmingly wanted their senators to vote NO!

They are saying that you and I don't matter.

This is basically the Senate spanking the house like they are a 3 year old child. I expect that they were figuring on having this thing done on Monday so that they could go home and campaign some more.

I'm mad as hell... Patty Murray voted for this... She better pray to the God she does not believe him and thinks does not exist that she never steps foot in WA. ever again and certainly never sees me in person... I will do everything I can to either vote her out or get her recalled/impeached or anything possible... She will be getting some angry phone calls, letters, and emails from myself and many others...

You can rest assured that we will be doing the same thing with Mikulski and Cardin from MD. The owner of my company just called me (who is not affected by the credit crunch) he is starting a PAC just to get them out of office. That is his mission in life now.

Now that's how you run a socialist take over of a sector of the banking market.  The silly Representatives can't even run a simple coup

74,... 25 was the vote against capitalism in the senate
