I agree this is what is going on because his comment about Martial Law being declared by the speaker was made in the context of complaining that the bill would be passed without anyone having a chance to actually read the legislation.

Well perhaps it is only applied to Congress, but when they fail to come to an agreement the rest of us will also be under martial law.  Of course we all seem to be pondering one of two scenarios - there will be either a Great Depression like collapse where everyone is suddenly homeless, jobless, and pissed off or it will be more like the collapse of the USSR where everything is slow and incremented, but still equally painful.

I don't know about the "Congressional" Martial Law, but I'm telling you...I was watching MSNBC last night and across the bottom of the screen went something to the affect of , "Sources: Meeting got firey when the subject of military option (or something like that) was brought up.".

I couldn't believe it, had nothing to do (per say) with a "bailout" unless they were making martial law provisions in this meeting.
