Zeke MacCormack - Express-News

A Boerne man is in jail after police said he asked a juvenile friend to join him in a "Columbine-like assault" at Boerne-Samuel V. Champion High School said Boerne Police Chief Gary Miller.

Allen W. Doelitsch Jr., 18, was arrested late Friday after text messaging the youth earlier in the week.

In the exchange between released Monday by police, the youth told Doeslitsch "I'm down for Columbine."

"That's my boy," Doelitsch responded."Ya know I hate life now I just wana kill people at Champion high school and then blo my own head off."

Doelitsch graduated last year from Boerne Alternative School, after he'd been investigated two years ago for threatening graffiti found in a restroom at Boerne High School.

"He seems to have a fixation with Columbine," Miller said.

Miller said a warrant for Doelitsch's arrest was obtained Friday after a 14-year-old acquaintance of the suspect shared text messages concerning the plot to attack the new campus.

The juvenile, who had been on probation for a prior offense, is also in custody.

Doelitsch was charged with solicitation of a minor to commit capital murder and remains in custody at the Kendall County Jail.
