Tvert is correct about local law does NOT have to bend to state or federal.
"Charlie Brown" needs to go back to the peanut farm.

personally I feel "up to an ounce" on one person (in public!) is too much and can be in promotion of sales and distribution, which SHOULD be illegal to carry that much, unless its a legit verifiable medicinal delivery situation.
- up to 1/2 oz max. and not in separate bags for resale.. not unreasonable.

prohibition of POT is ridiculous! it has "timmy" sneaking into the closet or bathroom snorting or popping HARD DRUGS, it drives up the usage of harder drugs and makes the price of POT ridiculous too, this has the "powder people"
interested in making more money from selling the pot AND the powders!

GOD.. didnt put a pricetag on POT, it can grow damn near anywhere.
it usage can have medicinal, recreational, and psychological benefits,
with a LOT less side effects and hazards than pharma-CRUD-icles.
- no mistake there is a difference between USE and ABUSE,
but filling jails at a cost of 50,000 per year per inmate with people who were caught for having a few tokes or a small amount on their person is ABUSE.
"the jails are full" is used as an excuse to free more serious criminals while the non-violent people locked up are made to work "victim restitution"
workee-workee "jobs" for $2.00 a DAY (can you say SLAVERY?!)

a LIMITED legalization of pot IS a good solution to a lot of problems.
I'm not against the prohibition of large quantities or the sale of pot at all,
but severe punishment of medicinal and smalltime recreational users is
nothing short of abuse and lunacy, which describes "our" government
and big corporate interests pretty darn accurately.

studies HAVE shown that someone driving who has had a few drinks lose motor skills, have slower reaction times, a loss of inhibition, judgement impaired.
the SAME driver with a couple of tokes on top of it..
(call it "reflex paranoia" ?) moreso realizes this impairment and drives slower,
more cautiously, more fearful of "what if" and wanting to arrive home safely.

- I'm not condoning the use or abuse of alcohol and marijuanna combined,
but the studies conducted do make a pretty clear point what's what.
couple tokes to someone who's been drinking might get the reaction:
"damn dude, I'm too buzzed to be driving right now".. good thinkin dude.
driving buzzed is a very bad idea, no matter which the intoxicant(s).

I am against any laws governing pot use for the simple reason that alcohol os more dangerous...if our society can live with booze, then it should be able to live with pot......

Live with it?!

It is the number ONE cash crop in this country... boy that would help the economy a bit now wouldn't it!

That is just the recreational/medicinal aspect... that is not taxed...or regulated.. straight black market prices...

Which if it was legal.. would most likely stay relatively the same as we would see a total phase out of the shwag crap mexican ditch ...(which by many accounts is the type the GOV carries along with their meth, coke and heroin.)

We would see beaster bud take the shwag price market... and the high quality stuff drop and rise as the strains become differentiated and sorted for quality..potency etc...

When all is said and done.. the Cannabis business in this country would quickly rival the Alcohol industry... and then some....

However it would put lots of Prison gaurds.. cops.. lawyers.. lab workers.. and pharmacutical workers out of work...

And again... There is the gigantically and intentionally ignored issue of Industrial Hemp.. a strain of cannabis that is not psychoactive... but has well over 50,000... Yes FIFTY THOUSAND... Industrial uses ...

From Fuel, Plastics, Better Building materials, Paper, Cloth, Rope, and on and on and on...

Which back in 1938 was slated to be the next BILLION dollar crop... no telling what it would be today...

The War against Marijuana is racist.. is fascist... and it is ethically repugnant.... not to mention economically suicidal.
