I just took it off my computer at work..
its in the add/remove "windows components" list from the control panel.. just click on "remove" and the wizard will take it from there..

You should be able to remove it... goto Control panel > Add/Remove Programs > Scroll down and find SP3... then uninstall...

thanks for the advice, its not in the installed components list yet.. i'm afraid to even install it, just so i can uninstall it, after every thing I'm reading about it- like the comments on this article for example

has any one else experienced a sp3 horror or am i just being paranoid?

I have installed SP3 on both my laptop and my desktop. Better drivers, more speed and less BSoD... Smiley

If you have not installed it, then just highlight it and delete it.

If you have not installed it, then just highlight it and delete it.

And check the power cord for the love of God.

I've been messing with Tiny XP with sp3 for the last 36 hours. I spent literally 14 hours on the computer yesterday installing stuff. I get to the end and Cubase keeps crashing. So I reinstalled everything again, same thing. I found a plug in that was causing problems so I deleted it. Now Cubase crashes upon start up so I'm going to try ONE MORE TIME.

I don't know if this has to do with SP3 or not, but yea, I've been having some serious computer issues.

Maybe your power supply is going bad. I need to replace mine with a 600W power supply. Ever since I added that nVidia GeForce 6200 to my desktop, Windows has constantly gotten numerous BSODs and several spontaneous reboots, and sometimes even Xubuntu resets back into the GDM login screen while I'm in the middle of something or just freezes up. I think all that is a sign I need a new power supply. I'm also planning on replacing my 2.1 GHz Celeron D with either a 3.0 GHz P4 or a 1.8 GHz Dual Core.
