I'm beginning to think that this may have been a ploy to test Russian response and tactics.Seeing as how Russia seemingly ahs bombed major Georgian military infrastructure without much hinderance the Georgians were woefully unprepared for this war. Those Su-25 jets aren't that great. Modern SAM systems should be able to down them rather easily. It doesn't seem like Georgia has an effective SAM infrastructure.

Give it 5 more years, Georgia will be armed to the teeth thanks to US contractors and than another, real war will begin in the region.

I seriously hope they all back away from the brink this time but, Saakashvili just made his country's part in the war official and Russia has stepped up bombing.

Whether or not it started as a ploy for testing Russia, I doubt that Russia has broken out their really evil hardware yet.  They seem to be fighting this with one hand tied behind their back, probably to maintain the guise of 'peacekeepers'.

If they do all back away, and this goes down again in 5 years, its gonna be hell on earth,... more so than it already is,... 9th circle of Hell kinda stuff.

I hope so, too. I'm more pessimistic though, as previous conflicts with Georgia have never lead to this kind of militaristic muscle-flexing that Russia is doing now. Maybe they are tired of Georgia's behaviour and want to set an example. Russia is using missiles and heavy bombing, which it has only used sporadically before. As Russia's global sphere of influence is diminishing rapidly I assume they are taking this very serious, especially after losing Kosovo.
And with that article you posted, it could be that Russia pounded Georgian forces so hard that they had to retreat. I don't see Georgia backing off for any other reason. End speculation from my part, I would love to see your news source confirmed by other papers.

Georgia withdraws its forces from South Ossetia

by ANI
http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/india-news/georgia-withdraws-its-forces-from-south-ossetia_10082097.html

Moscow, Aug 10 (ANI): Georgia has reportedly withdrawn its forces from the separatist region of South Ossetia to positions at or south of those held when conflict started earlier this week. According to an Interior Ministry spokesman, Russian troops had not entered Georgia from South Ossetia, but fighting was continuing, as reported by BBC. As many as 2,000 people may have been killed and 30,000 made homeless as the chaotic conflict between Georgian and Russian forces in the pro-Moscow enclave of South Ossetia entered its second bloody day on Saturday. The withdrawal of forces indicates that hostilities are taking place across the border between Georgia and South Ossetia, the sources reported.

Georgia’’s parliament has approved a state of war across the country for the next 15 days, while also calling for a ceasefire. Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, said that there would be no talks until Georgian troops left the conflict zone.

The situation on the ground in South Ossetia, most of whose population are ethnic Russians, remained highly confused. Earlier, Russian jets bombed a military airfield close to the Georgian capital. Based on Russian and South Ossetian official estimates, the death toll on the South Ossetian side was at least 1,400. According to Moscow, all but a few of the dead were civilians. Blaming Georgia of genocide against the South Ossetian people, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin defended Moscow’’s military action to intervene directly. Puitn said the conflict has created at least 34,000 refugees. Describing it as an “annihilation” of his country’’s democracy, Georgia President Mikhail Saakashvili called for an immediate ceasefire to stop. A joint delegation of the US, EU and the Organisation of Security and Co-operation in Europe will leave for Georgia in the hope of brokering a ceasefire. The conflict began when Russian troops poured into South Ossetia on Friday, hours after Georgia launched an offensive aimed at restoring control over the separatist province. (ANI)

Is the war between Russia and US-allied Georgia drawing to an end? According to reports, Georgia has withdrawn its forces from the separatist region of South Ossetia although the fighting still continues.

Georgian Interior Ministry said that all troops had withdrawn to positions at or south of those held on August 6, when the current hostilities began.

The Russian ambassador to Georgia has said that as many as 2,000 people have been killed in South Ossetia's capital.

Earlier, Dozens of Russian warplanes bombed civilian and military targets including the Georgian town of Gori, which is located on the border with South Ossetia.

A joint delegation of the US, EU and the Organisation of Security and Co-operation in Europe is now heading to Georgia in the hope of brokering a truce.

Russian fighters flood into Georgia
By Tom Lasseter
McClatchy Newspapers

MOSCOW — Russian troops poured into Georgia on Saturday as fighter jets unleashed bombs across the country, ratcheting up fears that a war has begun on Europe's border.

Russian airborne troops reached Tskhinvali, the capital of the breakaway Georgian territory of South Ossetia, where fierce fighting was reported and both sides claimed to have ”liberated“ the city. Russian state media reported some 100 military transport flights were planned to bring more units to the fray.

Earlier in the day, Russia Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that about 1,500 people had been killed in the fighting.

The Russian ambassador to Georgia, Vyacheslav Kovalenko, raised that figure to 2,000, according to Interfax, a state newswire. Those figures could not be confirmed, and were considerably higher than estimates by Georgia's government.

Georgian soldiers had tried to seize Tskhinvali, in north Georgia, late Thursday and Friday to end the long-standing conflict between the country's government in Tbilisi and the breakaway region. Russia, which backs the South Ossetians, scrambled troops in response.

On Saturday, the Georgian government said it was in a state of war, and declared martial law.

At least 15 Russian peacekeepers had been killed and some 150 injured, Russian authorities said. The Russian military confirmed to state media that two of its planes had been shot down over Georgia; Georgian officials asserted the real number was between five and 10.

”The situation continues to deteriorate,“ Lavrov said, accusing Georgia of razing whole villages in what he said amounted to ”ethnic cleansing.“

During the past week, 34,000 refugees have fled to Russia from South Ossetia, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told reporters Saturday.

Here's some seriously strange info cause, if Georgia pulls back from S. Ossetia, and it reportedly has, than it will have met Russia's ceasefire terms yet, we see Russia stepping up the bombing right now.

Russia’s Ceasefire Terms
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi

Russia will consider ceasefire and withdrawal of forces only after Georgia returns to pre-clashes status-quo and pulls its troops from “occupied” areas of South Ossetia, Vitaly Churkin, the Russia’s UN ambassador, said.

But he also stressed that return to status-quo should no way apply to the Russian forces currently fighting with the Georgian troops in the region.

“There must not be any illusions about that,” Churkin said. “In order to consider withdrawal of our forces we must make sure that there is no chance of genocide there.”

He was speaking after an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council – the third one in last few days. The Council has again failed to reach an agreement on the wording of an appeal for an end to the hostilities.

“There is a straightforward way to stop fighting, to stop killing: for Georgians to withdraw and then to have an agreement on non-use of force signed and then we can talk on other verity things, including [on] military and political arrangements,” Churkin said.

President Bush has also called for returning to the August 6 status-quo, but said it should be done by the both sides.

President Saakashvili said Tbilisi was ready to demilitarize the region if the Russian troops pulled out; international forces should fill the vacuum, he added.

The Russia’s UN ambassador said that the Russian forces in South Ossetia were engaged in “peacekeeping operation.”

He justified Russia’s air strikes outside South Ossetia by the need to undermine “certain Georgian military activity, which is supported from outside of South Ossetia.”

Scores of civilians were reportedly killed after the Russian warplanes dropped bombs in the town of Gori, close to the South Ossetian conflict zone. Port of Poti, military base in Senaki, airfields in Marneuli and Kopitnari were also targeted.

“We are not targeting any civilians. If there are any civilian casualties – that you can not rule out – this is of course deeply regrettable,” the Russian diplomat said. “There have been some reports of bombings outside the territory of South Ossetia and if there were some, they were in the context of support of peacemaking operation [in South Ossetia].”

1.Do anybody notice that (maybe last) Saakashvilly reference to his country now in English??? *LOL* Yeah, Michael is really good newsmaker. West friends must not spend time to translate him Wink I think, I know where is(or by what country) this text on english was made Wink)

As I understand - West Mass Media have 2 sourses of info - a)Michael b)each other bullshit ? [Maybe they should communicate with Osetia civils? ]

[just opinion]
1. what georgia wanted
a)to provocate russian peacemakers and get the war "answer"
b)to complain to the world community about this "answer"
c)our troops leaving
d)georgia entering Osetia (and Abhazia)
e)getting control of the region means ->solving the problems, that preventing Georgia from NATO entrance

plan has failed. We did not "answer"

2.what georgia done
a)attack Osetia
b)made Russia to answer on Georgian aggression
c)asking help of world community after infowars

3.what georgia wants
a)to remove russian troops with the help of world community
b)to enter Osetia (and Abhazia)
e)getting control of the region means ->solving the problems, that preventing Georgia from NATO entrance
f)to be in NATO (*its USA wish - to see Georgia in NATO*)
g)new NATO member near Russian board = new american bases

PS
Georgia-Nato entrance question -> will be solved presumably in november\december. Georgia wants to be in NATO before Bush climbs down from presidents chair....

PS PS
Kaukasus - is oil. its very attractive region. Instability is created not casually there.

Report: Georgia pulls out of S. Ossetian capital

TBILISI, Georgia - A Georgian minister says Georgian troops have pulled out of Tskhinvali — the capital of the breakaway province of South Ossetia — under massive Russian shelling.

Georgia's Reintegration Minister Temur Yakobashvili says the troops left Tskhinvali on Sunday to change their location. Yakobashvili says Georgian troops remained in South Ossetia.

He says the pullout will help provide a humanitarian corridor to evacuate those wounded from Tskhinvali.

The city has been ravaged by fierce battles since Friday when Georgian troops launched an offensive to regain control over South Ossetia.

Report: Russian navy blockades Georgian port

TBILISI, Georgia - The Russian navy has deployed ships to blockade Georgia's Black Sea coast, a news agency said on Sunday, amid reports that Georgian troops had pulled out of a breakaway province's capital

Meanwhile, a Georgian minister said Georgian troops had pulled out of Tskhinvali — the capital of South Ossetia — under massive Russian shelling.

The Interfax news agency said the Moskva missile cruiser and other Russian Black Sea Fleet ships had been deployed to Georgia's coast to prevent any weapons supplies.

A Russian navy spokesman refused to comment on the report.

Troops out or not?
Georgia's Reintegration Minister Temur Yakobashvili said the troops left Tskhinvali on Sunday to change their location.

The announcement of a pullout followed three days of fighting in a Georgian push to take control of the pro-Moscow enclave from separatists, which prompted Russia to pour troops into South Ossetia and launch air strikes inside Georgia.

A Georgian military convoy carrying troops and towing heavy artillery withdrew from South Ossetia through the village of Ergneti, just inside Georgian-controlled territory south of the separatist capital Tskhinvali.

"They have been withdrawn, completely," Georgian interior ministry spokesman Shota Utiashvili told Reuters. He said it was "Because of the heavy civilian casualties Georgia has suffered."

But Interfax quoted Vladimir Ivanov, an aide to the commander of Russian peacekeepers in South Ossetia as saying Georgian forces, artillery and armor remained. "Georgia has not withdrawn forces from South Ossetia," he said.

The conflict in the heart of the volatile Caucasus has raised alarm in the West, vying for influence with Russia over crucial oil and gas supply routes in the region.

Russia ups stakes
Russia poured in troops after the Georgian assault on Friday, dramatically upping the stakes in a long-running stand-off with the ex-Soviet republic over its pro-Western policies and its drive for NATO membership.

Russia bombed a military airfield outside the Georgian capital early on Sunday and Tbilisi said the Russians were also massing troops in Abkhazia on the Black Sea, another rebel region that broke with Tbilisi in the early 1990s after a war.

Russian warships arrived at Georgia's Black Sea coast, RIA news agency quoted a Russian navy source as saying. The source said the aim was to stop weapons arriving by sea.

A Georgian ceasefire offer on Saturday went unheeded by Moscow, which demanded a complete pullback to positions before fighting began. Shortly before the Georgian ceasefire announcement, shelling could still be heard.

An EU-U.S. delegation headed for Georgia to try to broker an end to the conflict.

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili visited Ergneti, on the border with South Ossetia, after Tbilisi said it had withdrawn its forces.

Second front
Georgia said that overnight, Russia had landed 4,000 troops by sea to the coast of Black Sea Abkhazia, the larger of Georgia's two breakaway regions.

In New York, a top U.N. peacekeeping official said there were indications the Abkhaz were preparing to launch a military offensive against Georgian special forces in the upper Kodori gorge in northern Abkhazia.

"At this point we are particularly concerned that the conflict appears to be spreading beyond South Ossetia into Abkhazia," U.N. assistant secretary-general for peacekeeping Edmond Mulet told reporters.

Utiashvili said in the past few hours Russia had brought 6,000 troops into Georgia and a further 4,000 troops by sea. "All of them are waiting for dawn to start active actions," he told Reuters.

He said Russian planes had bombed Georgia's military airfield, 12 km (8 miles) from Tbilisi, at a plant producing Sukhoi Su-25 ground fighters. No one was hurt, but the impact could be heard in downtown Tbilisi.

In a statement, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he was "profoundly concerned over mounting tensions in the Abkhaz zone." Russia was unbowed by Western criticism of its military offensive.

"Russia's actions in South Ossetia are totally legitimate," Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said, visiting an adjacent region of Russia to which thousands of refugees have fled.

Georgia's NATO bid
Putin said Georgia's bid to join the Western alliance NATO -- anathema to Moscow -- was part of the problem.

"Georgia's aspiration to join NATO ... is driven by its attempt to drag other nations and peoples into its bloody adventures," he said, adding that Georgian action bore "elements of some kind of genocide against the Ossetians."

Russian officials said the death toll in fighting that began on Thursday stood at 2,000. Georgia said on Friday that it had lost up to 300 people killed, mainly civilians.

Many Georgians were shocked by the ferocity of the Russian response. In Gori, where Russian bombs fell on Saturday, people voiced hope that the trouble was now over.

"Maybe it will be quiet in the future. I'm an optimist," said a 69-year-old woman at a bus stop in the town 25 km (16 miles) south of the South Ossetian capital.

Russia is the main backer of South Ossetian separatists and the majority of the population, ethnically distinct from Georgians, have been given Russian passports since the enclave broke with Tbilisi in the early 1990s.

Putin said more than 30,000 refugees from South Ossetia had fled over the border in the past 36 hours. Russian officials said two of Moscow's warplanes had been shot down, 13 soldiers killed and 70 wounded.

U.S. President George W. Bush described Russian bombing inside Georgia as a dangerous escalation. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev told him by phone the only solution was for Georgian troops to quit the conflict zone.

Georgia's parliament approved a state of war across the country for the next 15 days, while Russia accused the West of contributing to the violence by supplying Georgia with arms.

War between Russia and Georgia orchestrated from USA
Front page / Hotspots and Incidents / Conflicts

09.08.2008    Source: Pravda.Ru

http://english.pravda.ru/hotspots/conflicts/09-08-2008/106046-russia_georgia-0

Quote
The US administration urged for an immediate cease-fire in the conflict between Russia and Georgia over the unrecognized republic of South Ossetia.
In the meantime, Russian officials believe that it was the USA that orchestrated the current conflict. The chairman of the State Duma Committee for Security, Vladimir Vasilyev, believes that the current conflict is South Ossetia is very reminiscent to the wars in Iraq and Kosovo.

“The things that were happening in Kosovo, the things that were happening in Iraq – we are now following the same path. The further the situation unfolds, the more the world will understand that Georgia would never be able to do all this without America. South Ossetian defense officials used to make statements about imminent aggression from Georgia, but the latter denied everything, whereas the US Department of State released no comments on the matter. In essence, they have prepared the force, which destroys everything in South Ossetia, attacks civilians and hospitals. They are responsible for this. The world community will learn about it,” the official said.

In the meantime, it became known that the Georgian troops conducted volley-fire cleansings of several South Ossetian settlements, where people’s houses were simply leveled.

“The number of victims with women, children and elderly people among them, can be counted in hundreds and even thousands,” a source from South Ossetian government in the capital of Tskhinvali said.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Lavrov, told reporters that Georgia’s actions in South Ossetia question its consistency as a state and as a responsible member of the international community, Interfax reports.

"Civilians, including women, children and elderly people, are dying in South Ossetia. In addition to that, Georgia conducts ethnic scouring in South Ossetian villages. The situation in South Ossetia continues to worsen every hour. Georgia uses military hardware and heavy arms against people. They shell residential quarters of Tskhinvali [the capital] and other settlements. They bomb the humanitarian convoys. The number of refugees continues to rise – the people try to save their lives, the lives of their children and relatives. A humanitarian catastrophe is gathering pace,” Russia’s Foreign Minister said.

The minister added that the Georgian administration ignored the appeal from the UN General Assembly to observe the Olympic truce during the Beijing Olympics. The Georgian administration has found the use to its arms, which they have been purchasing during the recent several years,” Lavrov said. “The fact that Georgian peacemakers in the structure of joint peacemaking forces opened fire on their Russian comrades from one and the same contingent speaks for itself, I think,” the minister added.  “Now it is clear to us why Georgia never accepted Russia’s offer to sign a legally binding document not to use force for the regulation of the South Ossetian conflict,” Lavrov said. “Not so long ago, before the military actions in South Ossetia, Georgia’s President Saakashvili said that there was no point in such a document because Georgia would not use force against its people, as he said. It just so happens that it is using it,” Sergei Lavrov said.

Sergei Lavrov believes that the international community should stop turning a blind eye on Georgia’s active deals to purchase arms.

“We have repeatedly warned that the international community should not turn a blind eye on massive purchases of offensive arms, in which the Georgian administration has been involved during the recent two years,” Lavrov said.

Yesterday's Big Front Page Headline on Pravda.ru is Putin's Response !!!

Putin: Georgia’s actions are criminal, whereas Russia’s actions are absolutely legitimate
Front page / Hotspots and Incidents / Conflicts
09.08.2008    Source: Pravda.Ru

Quote
Russian news reports say that Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has arrived in a region that neighbors South Ossetia, where the armed conflict is taking place. They say Putin is visiting the city of Vladikavkaz, the provincial capital of the region of North Ossetia that neighbors South Ossetia.

Also read: War between Russia and Georgia orchestrated from USA

Putin said at a work meeting in Vladikavkaz that he could not imagine how it could be possible to make South Ossetia become a part of Georgia afterwards.

“Georgia’s actions are criminal, whereas Russia’s actions are absolutely legitimate,” the Russian Prime Minister said.

Putin urged the Georgian administration to immediately end aggression in South Ossetia.

“The actions of the Georgian authorities in South Ossetia are obviously a crime. It is a crime against its own people, first and foremost,” Putin stated.

“A deadly blow has been struck on the territorial integrity of Georgia itself, which implies huge damage to its state structure,” Putin emphasized.

“The aggression has resulted in numerous victims including those among civilians and has virtually led to a humanitarian catastrophe,” he said.

The Russian PM stressed out that Russia would always treat the Georgian nation with great respect, as a brotherly nation, despite the current tragic events.

“Time will pass and the people of Georgia will give their objective estimations to the actions of the incumbent administration,” Putin said.

Putin believes that Georgia’s aspiration to become a member of NATO is not based on Georgia’s wish to become a part of the global international security system and contribute to the strengthening of international peace.

“It is based on an attempt of the Georgian administration to get other countries involved in its bloody affairs,” he said.

Russia ’s actions in South Ossetia are absolutely grounded and legitimate, Putin said.

“In accordance with international agreements, including the agreement of 1999, Russia does not only execute peacemaking functions, but is obliged, in case one party breaks the cease-fire agreement, to defend the other party, which is exactly what we are doing in case with South Ossetia,” Putin stated.

Russia has been playing a positive and stabilizing role in the Caucasus for ages, Putin said.

“We perfectly realize what world we live in today. We will strive for fair and peaceful solutions of all conflicting situations, which we inherited from the past,” the head of the Russian government said. Russia 's president Dmitry Medvedev has told U.S. President George W. Bush that Georgia must withdraw its forces from South Ossetia in order to end hostilities there. The Kremlin says that President Dmitry Medvedev told Bush in a telephone conversation Saturday that Georgia must also sign a legally binding agreement not to use force.

Medvedev voiced hope that the United States could help push Georgia in that direction, and said Russia had to act to protect its citizens and enforce peace.

Georgia launched a massive attack Friday to regain control over South Ossetia. Russia responded by sending in tanks and troops and bombing Georgian territory.

Bush has urged an immediate halt to the violence and a stand-down by all troops.

Military forces in the unrecognized republic of Abkhazia launched air and artillery strikes Saturday to drive Georgian troops from their bridgehead in the region, officials said.

Sergei Shamba, foreign minister in the government of Abkhazia, said Abkhazian forces intended to push Georgian forces out of the Kodori Gorge. The northern part of the gorge is the only area of Abkhazia that has remained under Georgian government control.

Shamba said the Abkhazian move was prompted by Georgia's military action to regain control over South Ossetia, which began Friday. He said Abkhazia had to act because it has a friendship treaty with South Ossetia.

Russia has close ties with both unrecognized republics and granted its passports to most of their residents.

Georgia 's Security Council secretary Alexander Lomaia said that Georgian administrative buildings in the Kodori Gorge were bombed, but he blamed the attack on Russia.

In 2006, Georgian forces moved into the upper part of the Kodori Gorge to root out members of a defiant militia. Georgia later established a local administration made up of people who fled the fighting in Abkhazia.

Abkhazian and Russian officials have said they believe Georgia intends to launch an offensive from there to retake Abkhazia and demanded the withdrawal of Georgian troops from the area.

Shamba said the Abkhazian forces had to act because diplomatic efforts to settle the dispute over Georgia's presence in the gorge had failed. "Georgian forces in the Kodori Gorge posed a real threat," Shamba said.

Statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Concerning the Situation in South Ossetia

1141-08-08-2008

On the night of August 7-8, just several hours after the agreement had been reached to hold talks to settle the new round of the South Ossetia conflict Georgian military units undertook a treacherous, massive attack on Tskhinvali. A use-of-force scenario was resorted to by the Georgian leadership, despite all the diplomatic efforts that had been undertaken in contacts among Moscow, Tbilisi, Tskhinvali, Washington and other concerned capitals.
The credibility of the Georgian leadership as a responsible participant of the negotiation process and of the international intercourse corresponding to the principles of the United Nations Charter in general has been completely undermined as a result. It has become absolutely understandable why during a long period Tbilisi had under various pretexts stubbornly avoided concluding legally binding agreements with South Ossetia and Abkhazia on the nonuse of force.

It is still not too late to prevent massive bloodshed and new casualties, including those among the civilian population. We are also highly concerned about the Russian peacekeepers’ fate.

The Georgian leadership should think better of it and return to civilized methods of solving the complicated issues of political settlement. We also expect that our foreign partners and the international community as a whole will not remain indifferent at this difficult moment when the destinies of the hundreds of thousands of people living in this region are being decided. It is necessary to jointly stop violence that is fraught with the gravest consequences for regional and international security.

The Russian Federation will continue its efforts directed at preventing any further bloodshed and at getting the situation in South Ossetia back into its peaceful course.

Taken from Georgian Embassy. What separatist forces?

Travel Warning - Georgia

This Travel Warning updates information on the armed conflict in South Ossetia between Georgian forces on the one hand, and Russian and separatist forces on the other.  On August 9, 2008 the Department of State authorized the departure from Georgia of eligible family members. The Department recommends that American citizens defer non-essential travel to Georgia and that American citizens remaining in Georgia review their security situation.  U.S. citizens remaining in Georgia should avoid unnecessary travel within Georgia, defer all travel north of Gori and avoid all travel to the separatist regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.  Private Americans unable to reach Tbilisi should consider transportation available in the Batumi area.  This supersedes the Travel Alert for Georgia issued August 8, 2008.

The Real Reason Behind the Military Buildup of Ex-Soviet Republic of Georgia and Its Invasion of Russian South Ossetia’ ...
Sat, 2008-08-09 13:44
New York, 09 August (TMPress International): – The Real Reason Behind the Military Buildup of Ex-Soviet Republic of Georgia and Its Invasion of Russian South Ossetia ... the Ex-Soviet Republic of Georgia and its invasion over the last two days of the Russian population of South Ossetia - the second half of North Ossetia inside the Russian Federation looks to be linked to Georgia's breathtaking increases in its defense spending over the last few years, and it looks set to beat all records this year ... in 2008 alone so far they are over 1 Billion USD of GDP - the fourth largest in Eurasia.

In late June of 2006, the Georgian government increased the defense ministry’s budget of 513 million laris (315 million US dollars) by 442 million laris (260 million dollars). And the money, arms and military training is not from a 'new growing economy' its from the US taxpayer, the Pentagon and NATO ... along with the USAID ... and yes other NATO aspirant ... Ukraine.

Great article, Karl Scharwz, puts it all together

Bush And His Zionist Pals -
Stupid Is As Stupid Does
By Karl Schwarz
8-9-8

I was wondering why Vladimir Putin was representing Russia at the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympic Games. Within minutes, the news broke that Russia had moved an armored division into South Ossetia and Russian jets were pounding targets in Georgia.

Oops.  There goes another Bush Pipedream up in smoke.

Of course, the Western Zionist media reported only the US/Zionist/CIA and Georgia side of what happened. Russia did NOT attack, Russia responded to an attack on Russian peacekeepers that killed 10 and injured more. Russia has also moved to protect Russian citizens who live in South Ossetia.

America, if you want to avert a major war you need to turn off the TV, get on the telephone and rock DC to its stupid evil core.

Call your Congressman, call both Senators and make it clear to them that YOU, AMERICA, WILL NOT TOLERATE AN ATTACK ON IRAN OR ANY MORE SANCTIONS AGAINST IRAN. STAND DOWN...or get ready to pay the Zionist pipers, bigtime.

Zionist/BigOil/BushCo is desperate because it has accomplished NOTHING since 9-11 but pile up lies, debt, destroy and loot America, and commit mass genocide and war crimes.

By the stroke of a pen, Russia has taken over most of the entire Caspian Basin area's natural gas. Since I last reported on that - and Gazprom also cutting a major deal with Venezuela - Gazprom has now entered the Ireland market in force while BushCo is yet to acheive anything but one useless photo op after another, one lie after another, and one failure after another...militarily and diplomatically.

One of the reasons this new 'international' (oh, please) naval armada of FOUR US nuclear-powered carrier (floating coffin) strike forces is headed to the Persian Gulf area is supposedly a rotation of US carrier groups. The other reason is the BushCo/Big Oil/Zionists banksters intend to slap a naval embargo on Iran to try to knuckle them under to Zionist demands.

That is a MONUMENTALLY STUPID plan, so read on and I will explain why it is so.

Such an insane blunder will set the stage for a military confrontation between the US/UK and Russia/China.

Folks, that is Two Superpowers against One Superpower and a wannabe, has-been. The French contribution to that armada does not matter. Going to WAR without France is like going deer hunting without your accordion.

Do not email these sleazy morons in DC, they delete most on the spot.  Using email to contact those whores is just another cheap trick to keep you thinking they give a rat's ass about what you and the American pubic thinks.

Intead - Call the bastards, send them faxes but do not waste precious time emailing those lying DC dirtbags.

Make your voice known LOUD AND CLEAR DO NOT ATTACK IRAN! DO NOT PUT UP WITH ANY ZIONIST JEW ISRAELI ATTACK ON IRAN!

Read on and you will understand why.

The world is at a very, VERY dangerous stage right now and the perpetrators are the US, UK and Israel. Iran, Russia and China have demonstrated a remarkable level of restraint...but that is now past.  The Bear is fully-aroused and pissed.  The Chinese have had it with Junior's vile insults and the Zionist efforts to threaten their vital oil and gas deals in Iran and the Caspian.

These people are not kidding; the US liars and gangsters are not going to get their way...on anything.

If you have been keeping up with the news out of the Caspian Basin area, Georgia attacked South Ossetia and killed 10 Russian peacekeepers. South Ossetia wishes to be part of Russia again, not part of Western/CIA/Zionist influenced Georgia. Many of the people in South Ossetia are Russian citizens and Russia has moved to protect them.  And Russia is 100% morally-justified in doing so.

Current news reports as of noon Central Europe Time indicate that about 1,500 are dead in South Ossetia, some of them are Russian citizens who live there, not the Russian military forces that have been moved in.

Remember well, America, that Bush's Black, Gap-Toothed Poodle, Candy Rice, was recently in Georgia while Bush was at the G8 meetings. She pledged her support for Georgia and NATO membership...for a nation that is nowhere CLOSE to Europe.

BushCo is desperate to get a pipeline through Georgia to the Black Sea. That is one of the few routes they have out of the Caspian Basin's landlocked oil and gas deals.

Georgia attacked, killed 10 Russian peacekeepers and now several thousand residents of South Ossetia have been killed and wounded. The Russian response was swift and empathetic. The Russian Bear is ANGRY and this Idiot BushCo plan is not going to be tolerated any longer.

Russia moved immediately and put an armored division in South Ossetia and Russian jet fighters pounded targets in Georgia. Military operations continued into Saturday on this side of the world with Russian jets obliterating more targets in Georgia including an entire military base at Gori, Georgia.

The Georgia oil port of Poti has apparently also been destroyed by Russian jets.

http://www.beurs.nl/nieuws/artikel.php?id=268268&taal=US

Moscow is also sending in even more tanks for peace enforcement.  All America heard was the handpicked Zionist President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, whining that the Big Bully Russia was attacking poor little Georgia with 'aggression.'  They are NOT admitting it was the US and Georgia who started things.

Pay attention THE RUSSIAN BEAR IS MAD...AND IT CHARGED WHEN IT WAS ATTACKED. Russia did NOT start this crap - George W Bush, Zionists and Mikheil Saakashvili did.

As of 12:15pm Central Europe Time, the Kremlin has made an announcement that they have 'no territorial aims' regarding Georgia.  They have moved to protect South Ossetia and Russian citizens who live there and Russia has made it clear that it means business.

It is MORE than blatantly obvious/odious that BushCo planned this to coincide with the Opening Ceremonies of China's 2008 Beijin Olympics. That way, Bush could be in Beijing and appear to have nothing to do with Georgia starting another 'Bush Dirty Diaper Op.'  Trust me, folks, this has turned into another soiled Bush Diaper already, and Russia is not going to back up or back down. The BushCo perps are feeling for their first time what Russian military might looks like and feels like.

Putin, Medvedev and the Russian military have warned the EU and the US many, many times STOP pushing EU and NATO membership to our borders.  No one in the EU, NATO, London or Washington DC bothered to listen or take the Russians seriously enough.

Just this morning while America slept, Russia has moved in more armor, more airstrikes into Georgia and the EU is panicking.  This time Bush went too far, and even the UN is having fits trying to draft a letter that is acceptable to all parties asking for a cease fire.

When the USSR broke up, Russia withdrew, pay attention, withdrew 80 armored divisions from Europe and former CIS states. The US does not have 80 armored divisions ANYWHERE.

The Russian response to the lunatic Bush 'Defensive' Missile Shield is they are now putting deadly Russian missiles in place to take out Junior's skyrockets.

Where this has now passed the Stuck-on-Stupid phase - even by Bush Standards of Stupidity - is that the BushCo Zionists are STILL trying to scheme and plot and lie so they can justify an attack on IRAN.

The US recently announced that it may close the Strait of Hormuz...so Iran cannot export its oil, gas and petrochemicals.  A blockade of Iran.

You can be absolutely certain that CHINA is not going to tolerate that. Iran is supplying it oil and liquefied natural gas under a $400 billion contract and Iran also supplies India, Indonesia, Malaysia and most of the Pacific Rim with its oil and LNG. Much of the energy needs of the EU, in fact, comes from Iran. I know for a fact that Austria gets 25% of its energy supplies from Iran, hence, it is not backing the BushCo/Zionist plan to attack Iran.

Many in the EU are going to bolt because much of the oil and natural gas to the EU comes from Iran.

Even Angela Merkel-Schmerkel is whining about someone in her government cutting an important natural gas deal with Iran.  Not hard to understand why.  Germany needs the natural gas but now Schmerkel has to explain herself to her Zionist Masters...a little tricky after she went to Israel and groveled before the Israeli Knesset parliament.  Yeah, I can almost hear her now: "Germany supports Zionist desires to attack Iran and save the world from Iranian nukes.  And, oh, by the way, Germany is so very sorry for the (Holohoax) Holocaust.'

The German people were livid at her groveling before the Knesset in Tel Aviv. Germany has been on its knees before Zionism since it lost the War.

Listen clearly - No One is going to sit still for a US naval blockade of Iran, NO ONE. Both Russia and China will respond and it will be with force.

Russia has just made it abundantly clear to Georgia what the price is for killing Russians under Lunatic Bush/Zionist Plans.

Russia can easily crush the entire country of Georgia, and will do just that if it does not cease and desist. They are showing the scenes on BBC out of London, RTR Planeta out of Moscow, ProSeiben 7 out of Germany and other television stations.  Russia is striking back in force and they are increasing their ability by the hour to put more troops, tanks and jets into position to crush Georgia if that little Bush Ally wants to play hardball with the Russian Bear.

Where this Bush 'shits and giggles' game has now reached the WARNING SIGN is that there are many Russian contractors and Russian technicians at the Iranian Nuclear sites that Bush and Israel wish to bomb.

There is no way to avoid killing or injuring RUSSIANS at those sites in Zionist obsession to take over Iran and destroy it as they have done to IRAQ.

If anyone in America thinks Russia will not, cannot, defend its interests, let the US attack Iran and see how fast Russia and China ram reality up America's butt and down its throat.

Liars, lies and more damned lies - THAT is BushCo and its Zionist criminal co-conspirators in London and Tel Aviv.

UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, John McCain and Barky Obama have all been in Israel within the past month speaking to the Zionist Knesset parliament, and they have EACH vowed the Official Lie regarding Iran. So did German Chancellor Schmerkel...and enraged the German citizens by her pathetic groveling.

As we have shown without a shadow of a doubt - Iran NEVER made the comment that Israel should be 'wiped off the map' with any form of force.  That is a Western Zionist LIE used to start the next war.  Ahmadinejad's comment was that REGIME CHANGE is needed in Tel Aviv.

<start insert>

As a closing example, the president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has been attributed as threatening 'poor little Israel' by stating, quote: "Israel must be wiped off the map."

Well, what did he mean by that? Nothing because the statement was intentionally mistranslated from Farsi to fan Zionist war propaganda against Iran. No one in Iran made such a statement - NO ONE - it's just another Zionist Tel Aviv-UK-US lie to try to start a war.

The full, actual VERBATIM, correct Ahmadinejad quote, translated directly to English from Farsi reads:

"The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time."

Now, read that again.

Do you get it now? Can you see the ENORMITY of the LIES you are being fed around the clock?

<end insert>

The Farsi word for 'map' is NOT in the statement ANYWHERE.  The Farsi word for 'wiped" was NOT in the statement, either.  There was no reference to 'WIPED OFF THE MAP' whatsoever in what was said.  Get it?

It was not reported anywhere in sufficient detail in the Western Zionist Media what Putin said while meeting the Iranian Government in Tehran months ago.  (And surviving yet another CIA/MOSSAD assassination plot).

Putin made it crystal clear that Russia will NOT tolerate ANY attack on Iran from ANY of the Caspian Basin nations, and that includes the new military bases that BushCo has put in those nations under 'no bid' contracts to its buddies.

The Caspian Basin nations of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan got the message loud and clear.  Russia is next door, stand down and do not aid and abet the US/Zionist stupidity.

Putin also made it more than clear that 'ANY ATTACK ON IRAN WILL BE VIEWED AS AN ATTACK ON RUSSIAN INTERESTS.' Get it??

I do not care if you have to read that 10 times, get it into that idiot American Sheeple head Russia considers any attack on Iran as an attack on Russia.

Right there is where Americans need to pause at the edge of the abyss and consider whether they want to see the end of America.

That is exactly what is going on in Georgia right now.  We can thank the Stupid is as Stupid Does President, George W Bush, for wrapping poor Georgia into yet another Bush Dirty Diaper.  People are dying right now in Georgia and Mikheil Saakashvili secured permission from the Georgian Parliament at about 11am Central Europe Time to invoke Martial Law in Georgia.

That is a clear indication of one of two possible things.  First, he wants the people off the street so they can focus on survival of Georgia.  Secondly, he is bracing himself because Russia is about to roll right OVER Georgia with Russian tanks and air force, and put an end to the Bush idiot plan of taking a pipeline across Georgia.

Mikheil Saakashvili accused Russia of 'aggression against Georgia" ('arf-arf') but has yet failed to admit it was Georgia that killed the 10 Russian peacekeepers. That lunacy had to come from George W Bush and his Zionist 'strategists.'

The Zionist Media does not want Americans to know that. The MSM does not want Americans to know that if there is an attack on Iran, Americans are going to get to see what Russian Fury looks like, up close and personal.  The Zionist MSM wants American Sheeple braying and focusing on the 'Official Lies' and not that Russia has made it abundantly clear that the utterly bogus Global War on Terror fraud is OVER.

The gloves are off, the brass knuckles are on, the Russian tanks are rolling and the skies are full of Russian jet fighters.

Here is what DC and Tel Aviv are NOT telling you,America.

Russia does not want Iran to have nuclear missiles. Russia is already making sure Iran is not using its 'legal' nuclear power program for nuclear weapons. That is, in part, WHY Russia has many technicians in Iran at the very facilities that the US, UK and Israel intend to attack. Russian contractors are also building their nuclear facilities, and providing their nuclear power generating technology.

Russia already has this entire matter under control with Iran and the liars in Washington, DC, the liars in London and Tel Aviv do NOT want you to know that.

Again, US and UK and Israel are lying to the world. Nothing remarkable about that...it's just business as usual for these snakes. That is all they do...lie.  Americans need to wake up and smell the coffee.  Or they will be smelling a huge wars and counting hundreds of thousands...or millions...of dead.

Russia has already made it damned clear: kill a Russian and we will kick your ass up between your shoulder blades. If Bush is not careful and prudent, he is going to be wearing his balls as earrings along with Gordie Brown, little Nicky Sarkozy, and numerous others.

This is not a game, America. BushCo, London and Tel Aviv are lying their asses off yet again, and Russia has made it damned clear that no more crap will be tolerated.

If the US DARES to throw up a naval blockade of Iran and shuts down the Straits, neither Russia nor China will put up with it for a second.  Get it?

Now, unless you want to see the United States confronted in WAR with both Russia and China, get off your ass and CALL the bastards in DC, NOW.

Karl

A blockcade is serious, man Russia is gonna proceed with the total destruction of the trans-cuacus pipeline and leave Georgia as a  bombed out backwater.

Hey, good morning. I think it has a lot to do with credibility. It's like when a 8 year old is telling an outlandish story, you just nod your head, smile and go on with your day.

Putin's puppets are shutting down George's with that blockade. There is no way any of that K.B.R. military hardware is going to get inside Georgia's territory other then by sea ports.

Russia just wtfowned Georgia's:

-Power, Water, Communication Systems.
-Industrial Manufacturing Base
-Major Airports
-Military Bases

And now has sealed off its port capitol via naval blockade. That pretty impressive really.  Why bother with going the U.N. Resolutions/Sanctions route that takes months when you can setup shop yourself over the weekend?

Roll Eyes Good thing our American contractors bugged out of Georgia just a few days ago, its almost like they could see the future.  Roll Eyes
