House Judiciary Committee debates impeachment
A crucial step the impeachment movement must follow with decisive action

Because of the pressure brought by you and hundreds of thousands of other Americans, the House Judiciary Committee debated the impeachment of George W. Bush on Friday, July 25. This was a crucial first step.

The hearing was televised on C-Span. Thousands of new people have voted to impeach at the ImpeachBush web site.

The fact that Bush has six months left in office does not matter one bit when it comes to violating the Constitution. As one speaker after another made clear: impeachment is a constitutionally mandated duty and not a matter of partisan politics.

In the next weeks we will be placing impeachment "on the table” in Congressional Districts throughout the country. We will be marching with ImpeachBush.org signs and banners at the Democratic and Republican conventions. We will leave no stone unturned in keeping up this pressure.
