Whatever happened to hope, direction, and something to focus on that is positive and constructive. Oh! I forgot the NWO took that away. Suicide in japan is not looked down upon as it is in the states. They see it as a away to save face in a hopeless situation. If you really wish to help, find something to make people not feel useless.

Can someone tall me where the Suicide Epidemic Grips Japan has gone?
This seems to be one of the thousand "Christians against the agnostics & atheists" threads that are always popping up around here.
The original topic was lost, again... Whatever happened to hope, direction, and something to focus on that is positive and constructive. Oh! I forgot the NWO took that away. Suicide in japan is not looked down upon as it is in the states. They see it as a away to save face in a hopeless situation. I wonder too.

As Damascus said, suicide isn't looked upon in Japan the same way as in Fedgovcorpland. You could probably expand that to their perceptions of the nature of life and death in general. I think George Carlin described suicide as a profound decision. To each his own. Thinking of Japan, however... so its loosely on topic... let's learn a Japanese word that's easy to remember: 不況 (fukyou) - n. economic depression True. Look it up.

While I generally agree with this, it seems where many go wrong is in thinking that the only way to "help" is to preach religion to people. Humans tend to agree much more on basic principles of "truth, justice and liberty" than on questions of religion, so that is where I think the primary "focus" should be. One of the reasons I say this has to do with my experience at a local Ron Paul meetup group earlier this year. The guy who essentially headed the group was very much a Christian fundamentalist, and, much to my increasing annoyance, was always trying to inject his religious beliefs into what was supposed to be a political discussion. It was for this reason that I eventually stopped showing up for the meetings. (I still voted for Paul in the primary, though.) I think there are countless people who long to be part of a grassroots political movement -- which would give them the very sense of "meaning" that suicidal people almost always lack -- but are often repelled either by the pro-religious tone of the political group in question, or by the anti-religious tone. Why not a neutral tone? How about starting a group called "Atheists/Agnostics/Deists/Christians/Jews/Muslims/Buddhists/Hindus for 9/11 Truth"?

How was i being aggressive? You were the one before any discussion who came out sayin
I've already answered you with regards to me calling out your trolling. You just need to read my posts or a definition of a troll that is all. You cannot seem to get any valid points so instead you start personally attacking me! No you're the one who hasn't made any valid points so you're harping on me calling you a troll because you don't know what a troll is and can't hold an honest position against the bible. All you've made are hypocritical & superficial arguements. And this is just another one of your false accusations. How do you explain this Chocolaty?
How about you read my posts and you'll know? hmmm? I've answered him in my previous post, read it. BTW the books weren't written 100 of years after the fact that's proposterous. Did you just make that up? The compilation... canonization, yes what about it? The KJV has 66 books. We know it's true because of the prophecies among other things. No, i think it horrible that they are killing themselves. But the bible cannot possibly be the answer, there are many other ways to become happy and live a worthwhile life without the brainwashing religion.
How can the bible not be the answer? Are you dogmatic? What hindrance would the bible bring to them? As far as brainwashing you're an example of it. Just repeat "bible is brainwashing" while having no idea what you're talking about. You don't need to pedantically scrutinize the bible before you can soundly debate it without being utterly superficial you know...

Correct in that assessment. I take it the messenger dilutes or negates the message with accusatory remarks and those replying are also guilty in the opposite extreme. How sad... Neither side wins.

Are you suggesting one has to be a "Christian" to have a belief in "God"? If so, are you familiar with what Thomas Paine had to say on the matter? From http://www.ushistory.org/Paine/reason/reason1.htm: As several of my colleagues and others of my fellow-citizens of France have given me the example of making their voluntary and individual profession of faith, I also will make mine; and I do this with all that sincerity and frankness with which the mind of man communicates with itself.
I believe in one God, and no more; and I hope for happiness beyond this life.
I believe in the equality of man; and I believe that religious duties consist in doing justice, loving mercy, and endeavoring to make our fellow-creatures happy.
But, lest it should be supposed that I believe in many other things in addition to these, I shall, in the progress of this work, declare the things I do not believe, and my reasons for not believing them.
I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church.

This was actually an answer to Truthunters post. And here we go again the same "religiuos christian bible thumping others hating response" How can the bible not be the answer? Are you dogmatic? What hindrance would the bible bring to them? If you dont believe in the bible you are WRONG!!! (thats a bible thumpers rethoric) YOU ARE BRAINWASHED!!!! (how you dont see that i have no idea, and truly i hope someday you will come to a realization, that the religiuon you are following will lead you to your own destruction, good luck with that ) Will you shut up with the trolling that is the only accusation you have been freely throwing around since the begining. jezzzz.....go read the bible!!! I am sure that "God" woulndt like you hating and bashing non-religiuos people like you are doing right NOW!!!! to throw my 2cents in
if god is love, why do christians have so much hate ?
just a question
I wonder the same thing

Perfect reply there, George Carlin said it as it is. I believe that the Bible can be used by people to live a moral life in their view, but it is not a guide for how we should live their life, after all there are 6 billion people on this planet all with a different opinion of how to live their life. You gonna tell me how to live mine? FU!
Nobody is trying to tell you how to live your life. That's the rebellious spirit in you which likes that you're somehow rebelling against how people want you to live, proposterous, nobody is twisting your arm. God however which has made you wants you to live righteously, and if you hate righteousness you deserve punishment as far as I understand him, is that wrong? Doesn't the Catholic Church and the NWO intermingle? So, in retrospect didn't the NWO write the bible?
Yes. No. How the hell did this pervert into more braindead religious wankery so quickly?
Ah the most dogmatic "dogma destroyer", welcome. Chocolaty started it.
Nope, the arguement was started by Wanted's response to my opinion that they need bibles over in Japan. So much for religiuos tolerance. *from a christian* What are you talking about? He's exposing the catholic church, where is he being intolerant? Yep... he might just be on my top 5 in the Prisonplanet batshit fundi awards ceremony.
Yes yes yes, christians are batshit... good job DOGMA destroyer. You wanna debate me over paltalk i'll do it anyday my friend, I enjoy exposing the blatant hypocricy from people like you. Oh you don't want to? That's what I thought! Why not a neutral tone? How about starting a group called "Atheists/Agnostics/Deists/Christians/Jews/Muslims/Buddhists/Hindus for 9/11 Truth"? Yeah, the only people raising issues are the atheists. Look up every time someone posts a thread or reply which has anything religious to it and notice the plethora of hypocritical characters with names such as DOGMA destroyer coming in and bashing you for being religious, insulting your religion, claiming you're pushing your view on them just for stating it and ironically whining and lampooning you to try and make you stop expressing any religious point of view. Sorry, I have to correct this statement. "preach religion AT people." There isn't much interaction with that, its more of a monologue.
No, religion isn't preached at people. Preaching is done to those who are open to listen. And it's not a monologue either, though I can understand how you'd like to believe that in a rebellious dogmatic angst. The Truth movement is not a Christian movement never was never will be. If these fundies had their ways with America this country would of turned into a Theocracy.
Another blanket statement. The truth movement is not an anti Christian movement, never was, never will be (hopefully). If you atheist fundies had your way you'd turn America into an atheist nation. See how stupid that statement was? That's what you just did...

Guys, enough of the religious crap. We all have a right to our religion and NOBODY has the right to convert any of us from our beliefs. So lets leave it at that, or make a new thread titled "why christians hate athiests and agnostics" instead of cluttering up a thread on japanese suicides. Back on topic now, please. I Just got finished watching an old documentry on pearl harbor and it was stated that Japanese warriors commited suicide rather than be captured by the enemy. Could they be committing suicide as a way to not bring shame onto their families just like the warriors who plunged themselves onto their swords in battles?

this thread is a perfect example of atheist intolerance.
Just as being a "Christian" does not, by definition, make one pro-war or pro-theocracy, being an "atheist" does not, by definition, make one "intolerant." All groups -- be they religious, philosophical or political -- have within them self-obsessed, mean-spirited know-it-alls who give the other members of their group a bad name. (Though I would argue that this is more true of authority-worshipping neocons than of any other group ). Rather than waste time having endless debates with such people, it's far better, in my view, to reach out to the calm, rational adults within each group -- first to establish common ground, and then to use that ground as a foundation on which to build some sort of grassroots "coalition." It's either that or continue doing the NWO elites' job for them by keeping ourselves "divided," and hence more easily "ruled."
