I would venture to say that more people in the rest of the world know more about the US and the US political system than do Americans themselves.

While the rest of the world is improving education, education in the US is declining.

    The answer lies in the fact that the average citizen doesn't understand that we're a Republic. Children are taught from the time their in preschool that they have no rights. That they must submit to the mob-rule. My wife's a preschool teacher an she's awake. Yet, she's also ethically bound by the State to teach a certain curriculum. So, needless to say she's been asked to mention that we're a Democracy. And when I mention to my bud's at work about this fact and that "we" are all republican because we live in a republic; they find it horrifying that I would have that "opinion". But, but I'm not easily put off and can be a master of the soft sell.  And, have been very effective as far as the infowar goes. So,generally people are only as ignorant as we'll allow them to be. -Stupid only because of the mob rule mentality and the chemical warfare they're subjected to.
