Philadelphia man arrested over anti-police video

"...An arrest warrant was issued for Moore after he was identified in the video, which was posted June 7, said Kevin Harley, spokesman for the state Attorney General's Office. The video was removed from YouTube following Moore's arrest at his apartment, police said.

"We believe these were terroristic threats that are not protected by the First Amendment, particularly when he encourages people to promote violence in Philadelphia and when he shows people how to use a gun to shoot a cop," Harley said."

Ok, so let me get this straight. It's OK to threaten "Truthers" with death, and not OK to threaten cops.

He never said to go and kill cops, but celebrated when a cop died. Sick as it is, it's free speech. What we need to do is to find out what station/affiliate Michael Reagan is transmitting from in Philadelphia, and file a complaint with the D.A. there. If they're going to file terrorist charges with an idiot, lets complain about the biggest idiot in broadcast history.

You know, as much as I detest Reagan and most other radio talk show hosts and their vile, empty gibberish with respect to what's going on in this country and world, I'm torn on this one because I am a profound believer in freedom of speech and thought.

Let's be honest, Reagan didn't make death threats against Dice. Sure, what he said was ugly, ignorant, foolish, risky, despicable and mean, but it was just a stupid rant. He wasn't offeriing a contract per se.

Yes we're angry and we want every elite thug to pay for his crimes but justice works both ways. Say I slip up, here on PP, and say someone should beat up Joe Blow - and say someone does, because I inspired him or something - am I responsible for that?

If you reach out and squeeze a woman's tit because a magazine made you horny, that's not the magazine's fault.

I'd agree with you but there is only one problem. He's on public airwaves and there is a level of expectation within broadcasting that should not be crossed. For example:

01) Is masturbating with Lamb Chop the sock puppet sodomy? :Fined by the FCC
02) Is your vagina shaved? Fined by the FCC
03) Do you have anal sex? Fined by the FCC

And a host of other sexual questions Howard Stern asked and was fined by the FCC. Why? Because he's on public airwaves. Is what Stern said a detriment to someone's life? No. Does his comments want to make you a rapist? No. Yet according to the FCC, it does. So now when Reagan says to have mark Diamond shot and he'll pay for the bullet, does it make you want to go and kill Mark Diamond? No, but the enforcement of decency should be well-balanced and not selective. The FCC stepped over the thresh-hold when it fined Stern for sex talk, not harming you or any woman, so should not the implied comments be fined too? Yes, in the name of justice and equality.

It doesn't matter what Reagan was implying or thinking. It's the fact of the matter that the threats to 9/11 tuthers have become common place. And it comes a time where battles need to be chosen and fought. This is about principle and setting a precedent. Because weather Reagan meant it or not these threats will eventually escalate and a legal cornerstone must be laid now.

Bill Handel is correct. Legally, there may be a gray area, because, if someone does kill mark or anyone else, though legally he may not be held accountable? But with enough pressure, I mean a lot of pressure, the rules can be changed. Let me show you what I mean:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/us_world/2007/12/08/2007-12-08_blogger_poses_as_mom_linked_to_myspace_s.html

With enough pressure, the D.A. will press charges. The woman above did nothing wrong, per se, but with enough "coaxing", Reagan can be on death row.

Anyone followed up on what Michael Reagan's been doing lately?  From what I can tell, he was successfully able to leave the country to honor his father in Berlin this past Tuesday:

"...Michael Reagan pushes for the erection..." http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/0,1518,563292,00.html

Also, what gives with his web site?  Now, when I go to www.reagan.com I'm asked for username/password.  When I go to www.michaelreagan.com, I wonder what the heck that site is really for.  Don't I remember going to another site where there was links to listen to his radio show?  Strange.

What's really up with Michael Reagan lately, I wonder.

And the "saints" have been calling for the death of the white demons since before I was born.

I don't side with either.

I'm against the greedy and cruel...they come in all colors.

In american we all have FREEDOM OF SPEACH, micheal reagan is advocating FREEDOM OF ASSULT AND PLOTING TO KILL. this man should be court action.

this is a DUMB man. why would advocate the killing of someone?. what he has done is make it easier to remove him by law. Your enemie can now commit you cause, leaving you with blood on you hand, by admitting to a future kill.

not a smart move

Well based on what happen to Karen Fletcher I would think at least the same or more should happen to Reagan

Pa. woman charged with obscenity for online child-torture stories

By The Associated Press
09.28.06

PITTSBURGH — A woman accused of running a Web site that published graphic fictional stories about the torture and sexual abuse of children was indicted by a federal grand jury on obscenity charges.

Karen Fletcher, 54, of Donora, was indicted Sept. 26, and the charges were announced yesterday by U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan.

"Use of the Internet to distribute obscene stories like these not only violates federal law, but also emboldens sex offenders who would target children," Buchanan said.

Buchanan is an outspoken proponent of prosecuting Internet obscenity. In 2003, she brought charges against two people who run a company that distributes videos simulating rape and murder.

Fletcher's site contained excerpts of stories about child sex, torture and murder that were available to all visitors, prosecutors said. Users could pay a fee to read whole stories, such as one that described the torture and sexual molestation of a 2-year-old, prosecutors said.

Fletcher was charged with one count for each of six stories that involved the kidnapping, torture, sexual molestation and murder of children 9 years and younger.

Fletcher, reached at home yesterday, said federal authorities "didn't like my site." She said she was not aware of the indictment and otherwise declined to comment.

"I am not going to say a word. You have a wonderful day," Fletcher said.

Fletcher described her site as a "fantasy site" and told authorities that she posts explicit stories about adults having sex with children, the FBI said in a search warrant affidavit unsealed yesterday. She told the FBI that about 29 people paid a $10 monthly membership fee to access the stories, the affidavit said.

Fletcher told agents when they seized her computer in August 2005 that she wrote the majority of the stories using the pen name "Red Rose," according to the affidavit. About 40 others contribute stories to the site, the FBI said.

The charges carry a statutory maximum of 30 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine, but the actual sentence she would face if convicted would be driven by federal sentencing guidelines.

Although Fletcher's site offers written works instead of videos, the case is similar to the one Buchanan filed against Extreme Associates, a California company that distributes videos simulating rape and murder.

In that case, Buchanan argued that pornographers must adhere to the community standards of where products are made and anywhere they might be seen.

A U.S. District judge threw out the charges against Extreme Associates, ruling that prosecutors overstepped their bounds in trying to block the material from children and from adults who didn't want to see such material inadvertently. Customers ordering from the site used a private, members-only section. Buchanan appealed the ruling to the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. That court has agreed to hear the appeal but a trial date has not been set.

She plea bargained and was given a sentence of six months house arrest, five years on probation, and a 1000 dollar fine.  She was being told she was going to get 5 years in prison.  Now Reagan goes on the radio and says to kill Mark Dice.  Not write a fiction story about doing it but says to kill Mark Dice.  Well looks like the bidding starts at 5 years in prison.

U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan has a serious demented sexual mindset she is trying to suppress by being so outspoken (unjustly) against sites that merely talk or simulate bad acts. I think the website owner is a disgusting person but she has the right to free speech, and Buchanan should be fired for not knowing the law or at the least for using her position for personal vendettas.
I would bet money that Buchanan's computer is full of dirty secrets. Her family probably already knows how twisted she is from her bad deeds kept secret in the family and behind closed doors.
