Honestly, I used to listen to Michael Reagan and I'm very fond of his father. At first, I thought Alex Jones and Dice were being a little too hard on him because maybe he just got a little carried away on the radio...ya know...it happens sometimes. But now, I've totally lost all respect for the man.

I think this whole thing is embarrassing. No, Mark Dice, that's not how you go about convincing anyone to look at the evidence or to join our ranks. I think more people look at what he's doing and think, these guys really are crazy. It's one thing to bullhorn and confront leaders ala We Are Change, but it's another to try to send DVDs to troops in combat zones!
And I agree, who cares what Michael Reagan says? We probably are given him more attention and publicity than we are getting. And all this, Did you hear what he said?! Did you hear what he said?! How dare he! How dare he! Sue him! Force a retraction! and an apology!
It is possible to do more harm than good by being obnoxious and turning people off. Just being loud or getting attention doesn't mean you are waking people up or helping the movement.
I have no problem with what Mike says, it's a joke. He's trying to be this right-winged version of howard Stern. Stern used sex, and was fined. Reagan used violence and got away with it...for now. The difference is, Stern would never tread there because he knows that there are fans out there who believe in every word he says and would do as he wants. An example was, the New York Post had photos of Stern's daughters in summer camp. A photographer from the Post was going to post the photos and Stern got word of it. Stern called up the Post and asked they don't put in the photo. Essentially the Post told him to f**k off. First Amendment, Free speech. Stern being the promoted of free speech, they though they got away with it. So Stern put the word out to his fans to give him off the air, Rupert Murdoch's home address and home phone number. He got the phone number, and called the Post. He told the editor, you have the right to place the pictures of my daughter in my newspaper, but if you do, I will tell 10,000 of my fans to go to Rupert's home and stare. He gave he editor the phone number and address and the picture was never printed. Of course, Stern had more than 50 million listener and Reagan has 4 million, but within that 4 million, is there not a risk of someone actually doing what he says? Stern knows that if he says to kill a truther, some sick bastard will, so he won't. Being number one, he said that he didn't have to stoop that low to be funny or shocking or popular, but what Reagan said was shocking and downright dangerous, Now Capt O, imagine if a bunch of Reagan fan or even one sees your names, finds out where you live and visits you with gun in tow, what will you do? Shoot him or her to defend yourself? I'm sure you would, I would, but the fact that someone loves Reagan and is a nut case, your life will be in danger. You may not think it's logical but keep in mind, there are people not as logical as you. I've been following the story, keeping my mouth shut until I can form a good solid opinion. I am kind of in the middle. On one hand I feel Reagan has every right to say whatever he wants because we, as truthers, have to defend free speech to the death! What really makes us true patriots is when we defend something that goes against us simply because the foundation is defending free speech.
On the flip side, you can't yell fire in a crowded theater. But consider the source here for a minute. Reagan isn't actually going to "buy the bullets". And his listeners are who? White collared sheep who wouldn't even stand in the road to protest much less actually take violent action!
One thing that I find much comfort in is that our leaders (for lack of a better term), whoever you may think they may be from people like Alex Jones to David Icke have NEVER said anything about killing anyone. I think this is what separates us (truthers) from them (everyone else). As long as we hold steadfast to our ways we will always remain on top.
Reagans comments may have actually helped us. Some of those sheep who listen to their show may actually take that comment as extreme and take the time to listen to what Mark Dice is saying. Maybe some people will say "hey, if it's that big of a deal, then maybe I should look into this Loose Change movie and Terrorstorm". Maybe that's why Mark Dice and our entire group for that matter is making such a big deal about it. But in the end I feel this "threat" is benign.
But shouldn't we be focusing on more important issues than what some low life NWO scum talk show host is saying? Shouldn't the focus be on our message of "freedom, liberty and the return to rule of law" (Ron Paul)?
I say...it's done, it's said, there was an apology made and it's over with. Let it go and let's move on to the next battle. But let us learn from this experience and maybe change our ways a bit. We have to defend free speech, no matter what it is that is being said!
Now, on to Mark Dice. I agree with the guy 100% in sending the videos. I think he really burned Reagan when Reagan asked where he gets his funding and Mark answered "I have a 9-5 job". That was beautiful for people to realize that we are doing all of this out of pocket! I think that sends a strong message to the sheeple! Great work Mark! Remember Howard Stern and especially his nutty fans. There are some things that even Howard won't say or do, even with free speech. He knows that there are crazed fans out there. Like an talk show, left, right or comedy, there are crazed fans, and they are not as logical as you

I myself, when I first heard about the death threat, thought- ok, i'll hear this for myself and see if this is being exagerated. At the point that MR prefaced his comments with the fact that he was 'going to go ahead and say this' (I'm paraphrasing), it was really clear to me that he had forethought. He had contemplated his words before he said them. Then he went on to call for the murder (shooting) of MD. No jury, no trial. There is no blowing this out of proportion at all. It's real.

Am I missing something here, or does it have to be a threat in private to count as a crime?

According to OpEdNews there is an agressive media blackout of all news and radio coverage underway. They are trying to flush this one down the memory hole. http://www.opednews.com/maxwrite/diarypage.php?did=7807

Dice’s entire YouTube account, over 60 of his videos have been deleted. His channel was www.YouTube.com/TheResistance and had thousands of subscribers and his videos had been viewed over a million times. Mark Dice getting his account suspended over this doesn’t surprise me at all. You can get your YouTube account yanked at any time with zero explanation. While YT is a great tool for spreading information now, it will definitely go away at some point. We do need to use it while we can, but all of us should already be planning alternate ways of getting the Truth out in the future.

Not a chance As Suz said public airwaves, its in the public domain.Songs played on the radio are covered by copywrite law but public announcements are not. Youtube has removed the audio but if someone were to post the audio on their own site, legally there is nothing he can do,unless their will be a law suit and the audio is evidence but even then its would be near impossible to have it completely removed. There is nothing he can do about it ,Potentially we could be all subpoenaed as witnesses in this case

According to this link, Reagan has 5 million listeners! What are the chances he has, say, fifty nutcases all hepped up on drugs who listen to him and suddenly take him seriously for something that he speaks seriously about? The difference between Stern and Reagan, is that we all know Stern is a joker. Reagan at least pretends to be serious, just like his father. I say class-action lawsuit, and criminal proceedings against this felony!

From this page:"Michael Reagan issued a death threat against Mark Dice and political activists during the second hour on his radio show on June 10th, 2008. He offered financing the murder of anyone who would send DVDs to American troops fighting in wars overseas. “We ought to find the people who are doing this, take them out and shoot them. Really. You take them out, they are traitors to this country, and shoot them. You have a problem with that? Deal with it. You shoot them. You call them traitors, that’s what they are, and you shoot them dead. I’ll pay for the bullets.” - Michael Reagan[4] This death threat is a felony according to California state law, and is punishable by one year in prison. Currently, legal and civil proceedings are being processed against Michael Reagan." As far as I'm concerned, civil lawsuits still work. Legal court cases are somewhat corrupted, though.

We have the audio, why can't some of us just make more videos and put them on Liveleak, Blip, and the other video upload sites? I would make one, but I don't know how, and my computer is probably too slow to handle video anyhow.

IMO Regan opened himself up for the PTB to bump Dice off and for Regan to get the blame for it! If something like that should happen (and I certainly hope it does not for Dice's sake) I wonder if Regan would still be so quick to defend these minions? Sitting behind bars might make him think twice ay?? Let us just hope that Dice will be safe and Regan will get his due too! Regan has to be held accountable for this otherwise there will just be more and more of it happening! We have to send a message to those out there seeking harm for truthers that they can't get away with this sort of thing!

Has anyone suggested we all file a class action lawsuit? All 9/11 truthers were threatened by this. I personally don't feel as safe as I used to driving around with an infowars.com bumper sticker thanks to Regan's statements. How many truthers could possibly be able to be on this list? If we got at lest 250,000 truthers to sign up in the lawsuit and have all proceeds (if the case wins) given to Mark Dice, how great would that be?
