So I just called up the people that make the Berkey Water filtration systems and found out that they make the Berkey Light out of #7 Poison plastic? AAAARRRGGHHHHH I can't get away from poison plastic even from these companies that are suppose to be protecting us....... Other owners, did you know this? Do you care? ? Does Alex Jones Know This? Should we encourage them to change this immediately?

They said its made with lexan which is the bad #7 (as opposed to some other #7s which are ok). I have one and it indeed says #7. This can be resolved by buying one of the stainless steel berkey's and putting the black filter and fluoride reduction elements in it. They fit one of the sizes of the Imperial Berkey. I don't have the money for that at the moment so I'm still using the plastic.
I figure that I'm doing my best to avoid many other things and its so hard to avoid plastics that I'm not going to worry about it. I'll deal with it when I can.

I called and the lady said it was #7, so I thought I would write on here to see what others had to say and if they heard if this was somehow safe #7 or like mostly all #7 .......poisonous?
It's an infowar and I am just making sure to question everyone....even the sponsors to make sure we are all safe in our consumption of clean water.
I appreciate everyone that responded to this question so far, even the one that accused me of being bad for asking questions about Alex's sponsor???

Look at the link posted above on #7 by someone else. They have also said that it is lexan and I've heard on Alex's show in the past. Lexan is listed as one of the bad #7 plastics.

What about aluminum soda pop can with high flouride seeping into the product?
What about plastic soda pop bottles made with toxic plastic? Can you get a soda pop in a glass bottle these days? Not in these parts!
I remember when you could get a glass bottle of pop for 50 cent and save the bottles and get a six pack of bottle beer with the deposit return every week. Blatz beer...my fave back then.

You don't have Jones Soda, Steaz, or Hanks? They all come in glass and Steaz is certified organic.

I already paid about $250 for this one. I have the Fluoride filters on it too. It's hard to just go out and buy the other, when ya spent over $200 already? That's not the point either to just avoid it. I support the Berkey product and feel it's up to us to have them change it. Please call this number 888.803.4438 and express your concern to them: http://www.berkeywater.com/start.main.htmlPlease email and express your concern to them using the email address below: customerservice@berkeywater.com

Doesn't matter that much anyway in my opinion, since you will be exposed to the toxic chemicals in plastic through multiple other ways. Besides, do you guys all have shower filters? Inhaled toxins are more dangerous than those you drink. You got the Berkey one? Doesn't filter Fluoride. How about your deodorant, have you got a natural one or are you spraying aluminum into your Lymphatic system? As you can see there are lots of ways they're poisoning you, the plastic would be on the bottom of my checklist.

Exactly. Just use a good detox regement and you'll be fine. I understand worrying about plastic for little kids though. I recommend Mother Necessity. http://mothernecessity.com/ You can find most of their products at any good health food store. The woman that runs this created the detox to cure her son of autism and did. The green food also absolutely blows EnerFood out of the water.

ADVICE FOR THOSE OF US BERKEY LIGHT OWNERS:
Don't let filtered water sit in the lower "housing" as prolonged exposure increases ppm of BPA. Put H20 in glass or steel pitcher.
Never expose Berkey to heat or direct sun as these cause increases leeching.
Never use abrasives to clean and never scratch the plastic.
Never use harsh soaps to wash Berkey out as these also react with the PC, release feminizing hormones. (BPA)
I am a male victim of feminizing hormones and have a condition known as gynecomastia. Be advised if your a parent. What your child ingests will have effects on them later in life. Boy or girl, extra "artificial" hormones from petroleum products are not good. I blame OPEC for my condition.
Lets get off the petrol and get on hemp oils or plant oils to make our plastics. You see them in stores already. Check out the pre made salad section. Some brands use plastics made from corn oil. Biodegradable and renewable too! Benefits everyone and everything on earth.

Test the well water to make sure it is not contaminated. The area I grew up had contaminated ground water. Most of the wells were bad. we're all going to die

Wha !? get out of the city limits dude. I'ts deadly to be lazy these days...everyone seems to be grasping for the "convienient" solution to thier needs, which ends up killing them. Go take a half day off every two weeks and go collect water from a pure source: a well , a spring or whatever.

PLASTIC? Deadly slowly desolving plastic? C'mon. It would take YEARS just floating in a lake. Chump-change considering it doesn't remove fluoride. Don't worry, it's ok, the sun will rise tomorrow, I promise.

Those jugs are full of tap water anyway - its not the plastic we should be only concerned about, its the ass-to-tap water in those jugs/bottles! Of course you are going to eventually get sick drinking bottled tap water from plastic bottles. You are also going to get sick eating out of a can every single day... this is basic.

I can't decipher this jibberish. And what does leeching plastics have to do with the sun rising every morning. BTW the sun doesn't rise, the earth rotates and from your vantage point the sun seemingly "rises".

Don't you mean "Will our parent star appear to ascend relative to our frame of reference on the fabric of time-space on account of Earth's axial rotation for those who die today by the far-reaching hand of the NWO?"
