What the poster of that video clearly doesn't understand (and apparently neither did the person being interviewed, or at least not coherently) is that the very NAME Lucifer MEANS "bringer of light", and is analogous to Prometheus, who gave to humanity the gift of fire, without which humanity would never have arisen from a savage state.

The problem with Christian Fundies is that they take things they don't understand out of context and twist it to fit a theology that has been corrupted by the forces of oppression. Instead of seeing the analogies between different faiths, they allow themselves to be deceived by the surface differences into regarding all other religions as false, rather than another piece of the ineffable and unknowable whole of the Creator.

Remember the parable of the elephant.

in this book they talk about how Lucifer is only in the King James and that the King James is an unreliable Bible and that Lucifer is really God.  Oh and that the Masons did not put the symbol on the back of the dollar bill.  Nice read for a chuckle if you are ever at the book store.

Well, the bit about the King James Version IS true; it is the least accurate translation, having been compiled for expressly political purposes.

An older (pre Vatican II) Catholic Bible including the Apocrypha, supplemented by the Gnostic writings and other lost/supressed books, is much better....although truly, those would have to be supplemented in turn by the Koran, the Tao Te Ching, the Book of Mormon, the Vedas......basically, any and all Holy Texts you can get a hold of should all be studied in reference to each other and in reference to their original cultures; otherwise you're attempting to define an elephant by examining its feet withouth reference to ears or trunk or tusks or tail or torso.... and even with every Holy Text ever written at your disposal, that's only the outside, the internal organs, tissues, cells, molecular biology are completely beyond our reach while incarnate.
