For some reason, that link to "Trollin" by The Stooges changed since I posted it. Here's the update: http://www.last.fm/music/The+Stooges/_/Trollin%27I typically wouldn't bother posting yet another post on the same topic, or in this case song, but the video as well as song title and subject matter is SO APPROPRIATE to what often goes on here and at other message boards. And for the topic to be made into a hard driving alternative rock song in 2007 by musicians who literally pioneered alternative rock, I think it deserves just one more post of awareness. Especially considering some seem to think this band is "New", LOL. By the way, the pic I shared in the above post shows the guitarist on the left who recently died of a heart attack, Iggy in the middle, and punk great Mike Watt (sans mustache) on the right. Iggy and Watt each have quite impressive backgrounds, and have been the insipiration of many great musicians for decades. So, rock on trollers! ~jg |

Before I shut down for the night/morning, I just wanted to share a punk classic from Mike Watt's former band, The Minutemen. It's called "This Ain't No Picnic". The Minutemen are the very same band that provided the theme song for Jackass, by the way. This one's from the year 1984, ironically, and it has an absolutely perfect intro for Alex's radio show (if he were ever to consider it), a perfect title, and the content fits nicely as a NWO fighting anthem.
