I remember the songs the radio played the day after 9/11.  Talk about
letting the War Drums loose!

One rock they played had the words ".....Last Chance to be true to yourself...
last chance......
Does anyone know who sings that song?

If you duct tape a couple of Macheties to your hands and pop this in the Mp3 player .. It might be fun until you get gunned down Grin

Paranoid - Masked Militant.
I have noticed that this is a sort of a new version with some scenes where guns are fired between police and so called "robbers" edited out, probably due to the stupid youtube anti "violence laws"

Faith No More - The Gentle Art of Making Enemies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QloXxGo29kA&feature=related - Don't mind the wow video Tongue).
Placebo
Three Days Grace

Although lately I've just been chilling out with psychedelic/goa-psy trance.
Lost all my music a couple months ago due to a dead hard-drive (smacking myself for not backing up) - contemplating what service to use to get another 100gb or so of music going again Smiley.

Edit: Streaming radio ftl Sad. I listen to just about anything expect blues/jazz.

A new discovery:

"False Flags" by Massive Attack circa 2006

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjAV8PpZWX4

"In city shoes
Of clueless blues
Pays the views
And no-mans news
Blades will fade from blood to sport
The heroin's cut these fuses short
Smokers rode a colonial pig
Drink and frame this pain i think
I'm melting silver poles my dear
You bleed your wings and then disappear
The moving scenes and pilot lights
Smithereens have got 'em scaling heights
Modern times come talk me down
And battle lines are drawn across this town
Parisian boys without your names
Ghetto stones instead of chains
Talk 'em down cause it's up in flames
And nothing's changed
Parisian boys without your names
Riot like 1968 again
The days of rage yeah nothing's changed
more pretty flames
In school i would just bite my tongue
And now your words they strike me dumb
The flags are false and they contradict
They point and click which wounds to lick
On avenues this christian breeze
Turns its heart to more needles please
Our eyes roll back and we beg for more
It frays this skin and then underscore
The case for war you spin and bleed
The cells you fill screensavers feed
The girls you breed the soaps that you write
The graceless charm of your gutter snipes
The moving scenes and suburbanites
And smithereens got 'em scaling heights
Modern times come talk me down
The battle lines are drawn across this town
English boys without your names
Ghetto stones instead of chains
Hearts and minds and u.s. Planes
Nothing's changed
And english boys without your names
Riot like the 1980's again
The days of rage yeah nothing's changed
More pretty flames"

And for all you Alan Watt fans out there...Code of Silence

Bruce Springsteen and Joe Grushecky play the song they wrote together live for the first time, later to be featured as the main bumper theme for Cutting Through The Matrix with Alan Watt!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhiYDZaxVqg

"There's a code of silence that we don't dare speak
There's a wall between and the river's deep
We keep pretending that there's nothing wrong
But there's a code of silence and it can't go on..."

I like to lift weights to static x and heaven shall burn, but as far as opening up the soul, some genuine hiphop is necessary

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Fight Like A Brave

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doDBApOv2oM

All you slingers and fiends
hide behind your rocks
put down your guard
I'm not here to box
this is no showdown
so throw down your guns
you see it doesn't matter
where you come from
you could be from park ave
or from a park bench
you could be a politican
or a bitchy princess
but if you're lookin' for a fist
and you're lookin' to unite
put your knuckleheads together
make a fist and fight
not to your death
and not to your grave
I'm talking about that freedom
fight like a brave

fight like a brave
don't be a slave
no one can tell you
you've got to be afraid

If you're sick-a-sick'n'tired
of being sick and tired
if you're sick of all the bullshit
and you're sick of all the lies
it's better late than never
to set-a-set it straight
you know the lie is dead
so give your self a break
get it through your head
get if off your chest
get it out your arm
because it's time to start fresh
you want to stop dying
the life you could be livin'
I'm here to tell a story
but I'm also here to listen
no I'm not your preacher
and I'm not your physician
I'm just trying to reach you
I'm a rebel with a mission

fight like a brave
don't be a slave
no one can tell you
you've got to be afraid

fight like a brave
don't be a slave
no one can tell you
you've got to be afraid

I'm here today to pump up the uplift mofo party plan
a plan based on a band, a band based on a plan
there should be no slaves in the land of lands
it's a hollywood jam

You say you're running and you're running
and you're running afraid
you say you ran across the planet
but you couldn't get away
the fire in your brain
was driving you insane
you were looking for a day
in a life that never came
so don't tell me that
I've got to take a number
cause I've been to that doctor
and believe me that's a bummer
here's a one of a kind
convention of the mind
and don't forget to mention
that it doesn't cost a dime
come as you like
and leave any time
and one more thing
you know it doesn't have to rhyme

fight like a brave
don't be a slave
no one can tell you
you've got to be afraid...
