[This was a 4-6 minute informational speech I gave yesterday at school in my public speaking class]
Hi, my name is James and the title my speech is the New World Order. You might not be familiar with this ideology but I’ve studied it for quite some time and I think it has played a significant enough of a role in history that you should be familiar with what it means. I will go over a few major appearances of New World Order such as its origins, how it’s been used in history and what it means for us today.
The etymology of the phrase goes back to 37 B.C.E. in Eclogue IV by Virgil. He wrote, a mighty order of ages is born anew... a golden race shall arise in all the world... now your Apollo reigns.
The first time that this phrase would start getting use would be in 1928 in Hitler's sequel to Mein Kampf titled New World Order. He wrote that “National Socialism will use its own revolution for the establishing of a New World Order.”
In 1932, F.S. Marvin also wrote a book titled New World Order where he describes the league of nations as the first attempt at a New World Order and said "nationality must rank below the claims of mankind as a whole.”
Its next appearance would be in 1934 In The Externalization of the Hierarchy, a book by Alice Bailey, an occultist. The work was published by Lucifer Publishing Company, their website is lucistrust.org. The book claims that 1934 marks the beginning of the organizing of men and women to do the work of the Brotherhood and the forces of light with progress defined by service and “out of the spoillation of all existing culture and civilization, the New World Order must be built.” This is important because Alice used the phrase points of light in connection with a new group of world servers. Then in the same year, 1934, H.G. Welles, a historian, wrote in an Experiment in Autobiography that a planned world-state would appear at a thousand points of light and in 1991 in his state of the union address President Bush said, what is at stake is more than one small country, it is a big idea - a New World Order, to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind… based on the shared principles of the rule of law… the illumination of a thousand points of light… the winds of change are with us now.
Also in 1939 in the Fate of Man, H.G. Welles wrote that a “world youth movement may play an increasing role in the consolidation of a New World Order” and this is important to point out because there is currently world youth movement.
Also in 1939 Lionel Curtis wrote a book titled World Order which is called the foundation of all thought on the design of a New World Order, which is putting all of human society into one commonwealth.
Then in 1940, H.G. Welles wrote another book titled New World Order which proposed a collectivist world-state and that “countless people will die protesting against the New World Order.”
Also in 1940, The New World Order was published by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace which calls for a world federation and plans for it after the war.
Next, an article titled The New World Order by M.J. Bonn, published in the Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, “All time keeps moving, and with every move a step toward a New World Order is taken.”
Ralph Bunch then said in 1941, in the journal for Negro Education, in an article titled, "Hitler's projected new world order", “"There should be no illusions about the nature of this struggle," "The fight now is not to save democracy, for that which does not exist cannot be saved. But the fight is to maintain those conditions under which people may continue to strive for the realization of democratic ideals. This is the inexorable logic of the nation's position dictated by the world anti-democratic revolution and Hitler's projected new world order."
Fast forwarding to more recent times, on July 25th 2008, Barack Obama gave a speech in Berlin which sky news hailed as Obama laying out his vision for America’s place in a New World Order in which he said that world citizenship will be a requirement in the 21st century.
Also more recently CNN’s John King said that Obama is in for the New World Order on the Colbert Report after Colbert thanked him for helping get the president elected.
So in closing, the New World Order is a very real ideology that is nothing less than a plan for a world government and I thought you should know about it like Professor Carroll Quigley did in the 60s in the book Tragedy and Hope, or Larry McDonald but few people seem to notice.
