I have done thinking on this, and along with what Mr. X told me himself, am making a map of what's what. Each zone makes people think along certain lines, and only see certain effects. The further out you go, the harder it is to percieve, yet must have an actor responsible, with magnitudes greater results and rewards. Hopefully someone can refine the bloody thing to make better sense for others.
Zone zero. This is where the sheep live. All existance is within 10 square feet of them, when they move, the universe changes. Nothing happens outside of those 10 sq. feet. Occam's razor is used as a propagandist tool rather than Scientific Method. Simple explanations for simple minds. If something occurs that defies explanation,
it simply does not exist. Zone where most cognitive dissonance occurs. Trust is weighed on feelings and beliefs rather than scepticism and observation. Critical thinking non-existant. Threshold of belief is beyond what the Reality itself can provide evidence for. Denial. The need for every solution to be within one's grasp demands the individual is at fault(or praise) for every effect felt by individual, lest it be beyond his control.
If you plan to have a better tomorrow, you better think this way...Zone one. Awareness of others conceives Society. Domain where well balanced people form, activists, most social workers, those of troubled conscience. Unfortunately coupled with little true information, these become quickly indoctorinated. Religious/Athiest zealots, bureaucracy. Lenein's Helpful Idiots. Without feedback mechanisms, they implement with fervor what they have been told "its the right thing", often leading to burnout when results are in conflict!, drifting from one group to another when it becomes apparent their need for Social Order is thwarted. If devious, person starts seeking rewards following faulty outcomes, favorable for "some reason or other". Person also becomes oblivious to what happens to others as long as their needs are being met.
Zone two. Awareness of community and groups. (The neighborhood beat cop, doing his job to "keep the peace". Mom and Pop stores. Acknowledgement of "best survival lies with the rest" mentality. Aware of injustices, and actively seeks to influence a "good" outcome directly.) Belief The System serves the whole the best it can, what each deserves, corruption is isolated as individuals seeking self gain, individual comes into conflict with views of "good" result, but doesn't know or understand why. Blames others for their misfortunes. Unsatisfied with incomplete answers but completes the task as best they can, rewarded little. "Normal" is defined to mean "split down the middle" average, opposed to weighing every outcome/best result. Devious people will find a niche as a clerk misfiling reports, denying claims, cheating the tills...those that catch on are promoted for little shown merit, by corrupt superiors.
Evil hides best in the dark, amongst the rest of Evil...Zone three. Awareness of community and group needs. The need for others lessens as affluence offers ability to insulate self from others troubles, reducing interdependence. Local parties held in check at great expense to individuals. Law practices come in handy when "influencing" their thinking back to the "Societal Norm". Zone where the "Dark Side" begins to show rewards enough for morals to cave-in, blackmail results. (Paltry lower peons need no such treatment, the belief is non-existant to them.) Always the Goober File. Immunity tends to free up that bottled up notion of right and wrong again-gee, when's the last time we saw that...?
Zone four. Awareness of nationality, hierarchy. Industrialists. The "Little Man" concept flows, Mr. Potter the old twisted archetype. Those who have scruples are losing out to those who don't. Tesla was a man financially backed until, "But where does the meter go?", was answered. Flawed concepts are produced as long as a profit is realised. Retrofit schmetrofit! OSHA has a field day when they come calling, at least before corp offshores away from those pesky nuisances. For great profit, take off every Zig! On the off chance someone makes a 200 mpg carbuerator, small owners can be dealt with, bought off. Necessity is the Mother of Invention, but if it competes successfully with Establishment, Big Daddy gonna give it a whuppin'!...
"Sell Out! to the company...Zone five. Awareness of incompatability among lower goups. Molasses in January flows quicker than results neccessary for advancement. Shortcuts are always appreciated, though not always taken in good conscience. Beginning the need to influence large groups with least resistance. Land developers sure would like that real estate over there..too bad Siera Club bought it up!
True intents are being masked by all those Do-gooder, goody-two-shoes feelins "down there" in "Flyover Country".
Zone six. Awareness of incompetence, corruption of lower groups. Seeming to exploit loopholes with great agility, these have the uncanny knack for business with little seeming difficulty, or ability. Death as a result of incompetence is justified in business. Quality of workmanship is a far distant care, it's a SLOGAN! The means of production matters little, local stability is sacreficed for productivity, the worker is of little consequence. Sometimes used as "Bait" by superiors to handle a "pitchfork and torch" rebellion. They did it!
Quality is job..None!Zone seven. Existance of concepts themselves become commodities. "Image is reality" obsession. Vanity for wholesale. Paradigms launched, P.R. firms at the ready. Press releases for the masses. Origin of much propaganda. Molding of Societal Demands and Wants. Able to influence mass audiences successfully. Held in check by dirty little secrets, skeletons in the closet-offers of great wealth go out to those in opposition without them, with great success. Will often seem to be undecided, then change their mind about the best course of action, puzzling supporters. Will be befriended by propaganda, smeared if not. Far removed from Local Influence, little fear of retribution. Outcome mindsets replace tribal ones.
Zone eight. Mechanisms for Global change are heavily in play. War on ________. Objectives from those above are unquestionly carried out. Success is rewarded, as well as failure-"good" help is hard to find, let alone replace. Corruption is documented for political reasons-realign yourself or suffer fate. Make no bones about it, ruthless channelling of power and influence for personal gains have given way to fear of retribution. Borders realign according to desired outcomes. Famine and starvation become a tool, as well as War, Disease, Poverty. A regular Four Horsemen, "Saddle Up"! Puppets are replaced whenever they desire higher goals, or are attacked beyond repair. Fraudian Slips are almost as common as water, and reveal the mind behind the words. Scripts become the favored tool as figureheads know little of details that effect the World on such a huge scale-if they did, there might be a chance they let it slip. Reality is seen for what it is-what you make of it.
Zone nine. Status Quo. The Ruling Elite. Illuminatti. The true means of wealth and influence are realised, those fated with the ability, economy, and drive, to reshape Society as they please. If there is any conflict of concience of methods, the end justifies the means. The lower layers have little meaning in the Grand Scheme of things, means to an objective, more. Superiority complexes result from the unchecked power wielded. Secrecy becomes paramount because the understanding not all will benefit from "The Plan" will emerge and cause turmoil. Opposition is purchased or silenced. Motives for existance are "Survival of the Fittest" or "Divine Right/Power". Detatchment from Humanity almost a necessity, the Vast Unwashed Masses. Obsession with control, life extension at any cost. Withdrawl from Society, anti-Philanthropy. Awareness of others similar status cause collaboration with mutual outcomes, lest power struggles consume.
Zone ten. Entities which direct the ebb and flow of life at whims of internal values. Existance not provable, therefore absolutely denied, with disasterous results.
