I was under the impression that no login and password were needed. That may or may not be true. I logged into my prisonplanet account, and then loaded the .wmv's up into free download manager. They all downloaded extremely fast as it is a multi-threaded downloader. You can also set up free download manager to enter a login and password (your prisonplanet.tv account) if necessary.
I don't know if you need to login or not...it looks like there is no password required.
Also, free download manager gives you the option to convert .wmv to other formats (.avi, .mp4, .mp3, .wmv, .flv, .mpg) Just right click the downloaded file and click convert.
As for linux, you should be able to play .wmv files with the correct software.

Installing Debian right now to see what else I need to do other than installing the win32 codecs.
Alex will need to put some sort of .htaccess file in the folder, where the archives are, to only allow referers from a login successful page.
I myself would like to see the archives spread around, but only through bittorrent or google video and other forms of medium. This means Alex's bill for his content distribution network doesn't increase rapidly, as $15k per month is a lot.

Cueing forward and backward is pretty smooth in VLC player...I recommend you use that.
Other media players may have the same or, more likely, less success.

So a Prisonplanet.tv server is giving free .wmv's of the show from the Prisonplanet.tv? Is that to offer the members .wmv's instead of live streams... I'm confused as to who is doing this. |

No need to post the links anymore. Looks like PP.tv made more changes, so for the archives you can click to go to a new page and choose to view the video in flash, stream to external media or download the file.
All I can say is good Job to the PP.tv techs for making things friendlier for non-IE users.
